In 1774, Continental Congress met for the first time. Two years later, John Hancock, as President of Congress, was the only member of that body to actually sign the Declaration of Independence on 7/4/1776. The only other signature that day was Charles Thomson, who as Secretary of Congress attested Hancock's signature so as to make the document legal (John[4 letters, =47=J10+O15+H8+N14] Hancock[7,40) & Thomson[74=T20+H8+O+M13+S19+O+N14]).This original copy of the Declaration was then sent to printer John Dunlop who made 200 copies that evening of July 4th and early morning of July 5th. These 200 copies are known as the 'Dunlop Broadsides' and the few remaining copies are priceless! George Washington received his Dunlop Broadside in New York(7) City(4) 40.7°N 74°W and on July 9th he read it out loud to the Continental Army. General Washington had assumed command of the Army on July 3rd, 1775 making 7/4/1775 his first full day as Commanding General. Washington would eventually have 74 generals in the Army. 'Coincidentally', General Washington and Thomas Jefferson were 6'2": 74 inches tall. Does it sound as if a secret code was laid down at the birth of the United States? Yes, GOD=7_4, 7/4=July 4th.John Hancock was a Grand Master Mason (like Benjamin Franklin & George Washington) and was the only delegate - the only one of eventually 56 delegates to sign the later copy of the Declaration - to have 7 letters in his last name and 4 in his first name. Like the Liberty(7) Bell(4), this symbolically pointed to 7/4 (July 4). This is 'Step 1' of Simple(6,74) English(7,74) Gematria(8,74) where counting the number of letters(7) in a word(4)/name/phrase has symbolic meaning.Using 'Step 2' of Simple(6,74) English(7,74) Gematria(8,74), Thomson=74 (T20+H8+O+M13+S19+O+N14). The circle O can be either the 15th letter or zerO, i.e. GOD=7_4. The US Forever Stamp uses both Step 1 & Step 2 of gematria since it has a picture of the Liberty(7) Bell(4) & Forever=74=F6+O+R18+E5+V22+E5+R18.To the rest of the world, 7/4 = 7 April, which in 30 AD was the first day of the Passover(8) Festival(8): it was Good(7__4) Friday(74) when Jesus(74) son of Joseph(73) was on the Cross(74=C3+R18+O15+S19+S19). 7/4/783 AUC or April 7, 30 AD.GOD=7_4, 7/4=July 4th or 7 AprilY'shua(74) ben Yosef was born on April 17, 6 BC: 17/4/748 Roman Calendar. This has been reported on the BBC, CNN, FOX, CBS, Discovery Channel & History Channel. 4/17 made the Messiah(74) an Aries the Ram and baby sheep are lambs. Y'shua was the "Lamb of GOD" and he was destined to be crucified on the first day of Passover - Friday April 7, 30 AD: 7/4/783 AUC (ab urbe condita [since the founding of Roma{47}]).The Knights Templar excavated the Jerusalem Temple Mount in 1119-1128 and discovered* scrolls that, among other things, documented Jesus' Birthday. This information and possibly the scrolls themselves were passed on to the Freemasons. King James was a Grand Master Mason and his Authorized Version of the Bible encoded it with Jesus' first teaching of Matthew 4:17. When we consider that GOD=7_4, 7/4=July 4th or 7 April, that's pretty intense! Now when we add that he was born on 17/4=1 GOD, WOW! A simple mathematical and scientific proof of God's existence!! And using Simple(74) English(74) Gematria(74) with the key(74) of A=1...Z=26, Jesus(74)/Y'shua(74)/Joshua(74)/IESVS(74)/Iesous(73), Jewish(74), Menorah(74), Messiah(74), and Cross(74). Santo Apóstol y Evangelista Marcos
El Santo Apóstol y Evangelista Marcos, también conocido como Juan Marcos (Hechos 12:12), fue uno de los Setenta Apóstoles, y también fue un sobrino de San Bernabé (11 de junio). Nació en Jerusalén. La casa de su madre, María, estaba cerca del Jardín de Getsemaní. Como la Tradición de la Iglesia se refiere, en la noche en que Cristo fue traicionado, él le siguió, envuelto sólo en una sábana. Fue capturado por los soldados, y huyó desnudo, dejando la lienzo por detrás (Marcos 14:51-52). Después de la Ascensión del Señor, la casa de su madre, María, se convirtió en un lugar donde los cristianos se reunían, y un lugar de alojamiento para algunos de los Apóstoles (Hechos 12:12).
San Marcos era un compañero muy cerca de los apóstoles Pedro y Pablo (29 de junio) y Bernabé. San Marcos estaba en Seleucia con Pablo y Bernabé, y desde allí partió a la isla de Chipre, y recorrió la totalidad de ella, de este a oeste. En la ciudad de Pafos, San Marcos fue testigo de la ceguera del hechicero Elimas por San Pablo (Hechos 13:6-12).
Después de trabajar con el apóstol Pablo, San Marcos volvió a Jerusalén, y luego fue a Roma con el apóstol Pedro. Desde allí, partió para Egipto, donde fundó una Iglesia local.
San Marcos se encontró con San Pablo en Antioquia. Desde allí se fue con San Bernabé a Chipre, y luego se fue a Egipto de nuevo, donde él y San Pedro fundaron muchas iglesias. Luego fue a Babilonia. Desde esta ciudad el apóstol Pedro envió una carta a los cristianos de Asia Menor, en el que llama a San Marcos su hijo (1 Pedro 5:13).
Cuando el apóstol Pablo llegó a Roma en cadenas, San Marcos estaba en Éfeso, donde San Timoteo (4 de enero) fue obispo. San Marcos se fue con él a Roma. Allí también escribió su santo Evangelio (ca. 62-63).
Desde Roma San Marcos viajó a Egipto. En Alejandría, comenzó una escuela cristiana, que más tarde produjo, Padres y maestros famosos de la Iglesia como Clemente de Alejandría, San Dionisio de Alejandría (5 de octubre), San Gregorio Taumaturgo (5 de noviembre), y otros. Devoto a los servicios de la Iglesia, San Marcos compuso una liturgia para los cristianos de Alejandría.
San Marcos predicó el Evangelio en las regiones interiores de África, y estuvo en Libia en Nektopolis.
Durante estos viajes, San Marcos fue inspirado por el Espíritu Santo para ir otra vez a Alejandría y confrontar a los paganos. Allí visitó la casa de Ananías, y sanó a su mano mutilada. El dignatario con felicidad lo recibió, escuchó sus palabras, y fue bautizado.
Siguiendo el ejemplo de Ananías, muchos de los habitantes de esa parte de la ciudad donde él vivía también fueron bautizados. Esto despertó la enemistad de los paganos, y ellos querían matar a San Marcos. Habiendo aprendido de esto, San Marcos hizo a Ananías Obispo, y los tres cristianos Malco, Sabinos, y Kerdinos fueron ordenados presbíteros para asegurar liderazgo a la iglesia después de su muerte.
Los paganos capturaron a San Marcos cuando servia la Liturgia. Lo golpearon, lo arrastraron por las calles y lo tiraron en la cárcel. Allí, a San Marcos se le concedió una visión del Señor Jesucristo, Quién lo ha fortalecido ante sus sufrimientos. Al día siguiente, la enfurecida multitud arrastró de nuevo al santo por las calles hasta la sala del tribunal, pero en el camino San Marcos murió diciendo: "En tus manos, Señor, encomiendo mi espíritu".
Los paganos querían quemar el cuerpo del santo, pero cuando encendieron el fuego, todo se oscureció, los truenos se estrellaron, y hubo un terremoto. Los paganos huyeron aterrorizados, y los cristianos tomaron el cuerpo de San Marcos y lo enterraron en una cripta de piedra. Esto fue el 4 de abril del año 63. La Iglesia celebra su memoria en 25 de abril.
En el año 310, se construyó una iglesia sobre las reliquias de San Marcos. En 820, cuando los árabes musulmanes habían establecido su imperio en Egipto y oprimieron la Iglesia cristiana, las reliquias de San Marcos fueron trasladadas a Venecia y fueron colocadas en la iglesia que lleva su nombre.
En la antigua tradición iconográfica, que adoptó los símbolos de los santos Evangelistas tomados de la visión de San Juan el Teólogo (Apoc. 4:7=INDEPENDENCIA DE ESTADOS UNIDOS) y la profecía de Ezequiel (Ez 1:10), el Santo Evangelista Marcos es representado por un león, que simboliza el poder y la dignidad real de Cristo (Apocalipsis 5:5).
San Marcos escribió su Evangelio para los cristianos gentiles, acentuando las palabras y los hechos del Salvador que revelan su poder divino. Muchos aspectos de su cuenta pueden ser explicados por su cercanía con San Pedro. Los escritores antiguos dicen que el Evangelio de Marcos es una exposición concisa de la predicación de San Pedro.
Uno de los temas centrales de teología en el Evangelio de San Marcos es el poder de Dios logrando lo que es humanamente imposible. Los Apóstoles obraron milagros notables con Cristo (Marcos 16:20) y con el Espíritu Santo (Marcos 13:11) que actuó a través de ellos. Les dijo a Sus discípulos vayan al mundo y prediquen el Evangelio a toda criatura (Marcos 13:10, 16:15), y así lo hicieron.
