In this Enoch legend he is instructed to excavate nine chambers featuring nine arches and to hide a white cube bearing a golden triangle inscribed with the name of God. Instead of dealing with the soul's journey alone (as Metatron's Cube appears to) this legend deals with the history of the World/Universe. In Enoch's myth, the cube represents materiality in general (Shekinah), and the golden traingle represents the divine spark inherent in everything. (see Alchemy, Hasidism etc.) The lowest of the nine arcs (ark, arch) in this scheme is the earth. This is the Shekinah story again.Manley Hall suggests that the nine worlds image relates to the nine stages of the Nordic initiation, the chambers where the rites were performed and the nine divisions of their cosmological template. Albert Pike suggests the same thing of the Enoch legend, that it pointed to a rite with nine stages that was performed literally underground, the form of which was related mathematically to their astronomical template. The logic goes like this: We'll form a club based on the nine planetary spheres, there with will be nine degrees to represent the phases of the souls journey. These numbers and ideas will inform our architecture and ceremonies. Underground chambers symbolize the womb, and nine of them would represent the human gestation period, nine months. Tao of the Tau
Tau is the Greek letter T or τ in lower case.
The symbol τ was used in mathematics to represent the golden ratio until the Greek letter Phi (Φ) gained prominance (after the first letter of Phidias, acclaimed sculptor of the Parthenon).
Tau is also known as the symbol representing the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its radius (equal to 2π).
Advocates for τ argue that radius is more fundamental to circles than diameter, and therefore, that τ (circumference divided by radius) is more fundamental than π (circumference divided by diameter). They think this makes formulas written in terms of τ express the mathematics more clearly than with π. -Source
Using τ instead of 2π makes a lot of sense to me:
- A circle is defined as all points in a plane a certain radius away from a center point.
- The unit circle has a radius of 1, not a diameter of 1.
- Angles measured in radians make more sense using τ rather than 2π because τ radians measures a full circle, so 1/4 circle is τ/4, 1/2 circle is τ/2 and so on.
However using τ is really a moot point because π already won the mindshare. However I find it interesting that Tau has been used to represent both the golden ratio (Φ) and the relationship of a circle to its radius (more commonly known as π).
I can think of one other symbol that encodes in its proportions both mathematical ideas: the Great Pyramid. Note that the proportions 4:π and Φ:1 are not taken at the same time but I’ve shown them together for simplicity, so read the left and right halves of the diagram separately.

Crowley used an inverted Tau on the cover of his book Magick, which was “regarded in serious occult circles as a book of ultimate authority on sexual magic.” -Source
Seen right-side-up, the T is seen as the shape of the cross on which Jesus was crucified.
The TAU cross is preserved to modern Masonry under the symbol of the T square. This appears to be the oldest form of the cross extant.” -The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly Hall
There are several instances in the Bible of the Tau cross anticipating the Latin cross:
- The angel of death passed over the children of Israel who painted the Tau mark in goat’s or sheep’s blood above their doors to slay all Egyptian firstborn. This is better known as Passover. See Exodus 11:1 in the Brick Testament.
- The Tau mark was placed upon the foreheads of particular men to save them from being slain in yet another genocidal bloodbath depicted in Ezekiel 9 (unforunately this isn’t illustrated in Lego).
- The summit of Mt. Nebo in Jordan is the location of the Brazen Serpent Monument, featuring a snake wrapped around a Tau cross.

Mt. Nebo is where Moses saw the promised land of Israel (but wasn’t allowed to go there himself). You can see Jerusalem on a clear day from this monument.
Pope Benedict XVI visited the site on May 9, 2009, gave a speech, and looked out from the top of the mountain in the direction of Jerusalem. -Source
The fiery serpent comes from the Bible (Numbers 21:5-9):
- “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
- And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
- Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
- And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
- And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”
Check out this version illustrated with Lego. I like the Brick Testament because it consistently shows the character of this God. In this case God kills his chosen people with snakes because they complained about being hungry and thirsty. It’s easy to forget that and recall only that he healed those who didn’t complain with the Nehushtan as it is also known.
The 25th degree in Scottish Freemasonry is called is The Knight of the Brazen Serpent.

The above image reminds one of the Rod of Asclepius. Here it is as the Star of Life, logo of the emergency medical services worldwide.
Also the emblem of the World Heath Organization underlines the fact that it is a specialized agency of the United Nations with its 33 sector grid laid over the world.
The symbol of a serpent climbing the pole is also a symbol of Kundalini, or life force rising up the spinal column.
These symbols all came from the Crux Ansata, better known as the Ankh. Think of it as a yoni on top of a lingam, or vesica piscis on top of a tau if you will. What better way to symbolize life then through sexual union? This has been pushed into the shadow in the last two thousand years in the West.
Thanks to reader Rick for pointing out that the Hindu Ardhanari is a composite androgynous form of the Hindu god Shiva and his consort Parvati: half male and half female, split down the middle. Note the Ankh is used here as a depiction of both male and female genitalia.

The Hindu androgyne reminds me of Baphomet whom the Templars revealed they worshipped under torture by the French Catholics in 1307.
Often mistaken for Satan, Baphomet represents the duality of male and female, as well as Heaven and Hell or night and day signified by the raising of one arm and the downward gesture of the other. -Source

Andre van Lysebeth shows in Tantra that the Om glyph actually represents the sexual act (female on the left and male on the right in this case) with what looks to me like the sun and moon in the upper right:

The Ankh is similar to the concept of the Tao in Chinese philosophy and religion. Opposites coming together form a dynamic balance.

I had always associated synchronicity with Carl Jung but recently rereading Lama Anagarika Govinda’s The Inner Structure of the I Ching I was reminded that as a mode of thinking it is profoundly Chinese. Govinda writes: “All our reasoning is based on the law of cause and effect operating as a sequence. The Chinese do not reason so much along this horizontal line from past, through present to future; they reason perpendicularly, from what is in one place now to what is in another place now. In other words, they do not ask why, or from what past causes, a certain set of things is happening now; they ask, ‘What is the meaning of these things happening at this moment?’ The word Tao is the answer to this question. The present situation within and around oneself is Tao, for the present moment is life. Our memory of the past is contained in it as well as the potentiality for the future.”
Squaring the circle also comes to mind as a larger resolution of opposites, in the case of heaven and earth.

Slight dyslexia is all you need to get from Angels to Angles. In many areas of mathematics angles are measured in radians rather than degrees. One radian is equal to about 57 degrees (57.2957795…).
360 degrees = 2π or 6.283185… radians. An angle of 1 radian results in an arc with a length equal to the radius of the circle.
Tau is the 19th letter of the Greek alphabet. Three Taus therefore have a value of 3 x 19 = 57.
Triple Tau is an important Masonic symbol.
“This emblem, placed in the center of a Triangle and Circle – both emblems of Deity – constitutes the jewel of the Royal Arch as practiced in England, where it is so highly esteemed as to be called the “emblem of all emblems,” and “the grand emblem of Royal Arch Masonry.” -Source

The Royal Arch Degree Jew-el has a Star of David composed of two interlocking triangles (male and female) and a triple Tau at the bottom. This reminds me of the phrase triple bottom line or Hermes Trismegistus.
This ancient Alchemical emblem found in the ruins of Pompei suggests that the Star of David is a metaphor for the sexual act, a fact covered up by the SATOR magic square (see Paternoster Squares).
Robert Fowler discovered a cipher in Shakespeare’s sonnets dedication poem that requires one understand the Royal Arch Degree jewel in order to decode it. It’s a fascinating intellectual journey that I won’t belabour in this post.
However I will mention the decoded message refers to eternal life and a diagram that appears to depict Orion, an obelisk, a pyramid, the Star of David, and rays of the Sun. It is becoming harder not to see that Francis Bacon was involved in writing the works of “William Shakespeare.”

The 33rd degree jewel depicts four Taus forming a Greek cross.
“The quadruple tau, moreover, being composed entirely of ‘right angles, horizontals, and perpendiculars,’ contains within itself all the secret signs of Freemasonry, a fact which I am not permitted to further explain. I’m not a mason but am bright enough to see at least on one level that the Quadruple Tau cross represents the great cross in the heavens as discussed in my Esoteric Astronomy video. The four beasts corresponding to the fixed signs in the aforementioned alchemical seal and Royal Arch degree jewel support this notion.
Here’s the Hindu version of the 33rd degree jewel: the Sri Yantra aka Sri Chakra. In addition to four taus, it features nine interlocking triangles, just as the 33rd degree jewel shows a nine pointed star and the brazen serpent jewel depicts a nine-pointed star.

That brings me to a couple of very interesting buildings I’ve become aware of that I think encode the Quadruple Tau symbol. First up is Terrace on the Park at 52-11 111th Street in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, NY. Do you see the solar 52 weeks in a year encoded with all the ones? The building was contructed as a helipad for the 1964 World’s Fair, which I plan to post about another time. One can say it has a special connection with the sky.

The square base reminds me of the Quadruple Tau even though it is not highlighted as such.
Grant noticed that there are 32 full panels across the top of the T plus 2 half panels, making a total of 33 panels on each side. Just a coincidence or the Tao of the Tau?

Never A Straight Answer
NASA has created many secrets in plain sight. I blogged a bit about Apollo 11 in a previous post, in relation to why 11 “happened to be” the first mission to officially land a man on the moon.
Did you know the Apollo 11 astronauts brought some very interesting flags to the moon? Of course they left the Stars and Stripes (whose numerical symbolism I go into in my NY Part 2 video), but here is some little-known evidence of two other flags that went to the Moon on Apollo 11 which were returned to Earth:
The Vatican City Flag
As the fine print reads President Richard Nixon presented this flag to “the people of Vatican City” which was carried to the Moon by Apollo 11 and returned along with some moon fragments pictured at the top.
The Scottish Rite Flag
The cover of Richard Hoagland and Mike Bara’s book depicts the flag mentioned in Aldrin’s above letter, although they may have Photoshopped it over the US flag for dramatic effect. I don’t hold it against them as NASA has sure done a lot of airbrushing themselves (airbrushing is what people did in the old days before Photoshop).
The authors have say this in their eye opening book:
However, if you looked closely at the sky over the Apollo 11 landing site, 33 minutes after Landing, not only was Sirius (“Isis”) at 19.5 degrees…[the tetrahedral angle] but, so was the constellation of “Columba”—from which St. Columba and the Apollo 11 Command Module both ultimately drew their names. “The Dove” came with its own sets of coded “double meanings”—relating to ancient Egyptian systems for measuring the Earth, and “previous, now destroyed, ancient civilizations” (one version of which even shows up in the Old Testament, as the familiar Noah story of “releasing a dove after the Great Flood”)…. -Dark Mission page 252
Doves
Doves and pigeons constitute the bird family Columbidae.
Egyptians used to mummify birds, Celtic priestesses used to talk to birds to foretell the future in their sacred groves, in ancient Rome augurs would observe natural signs, especially the behavior of doves, interpreting these as an indication of divine approval or disapproval of a proposed action.
Ornithomancy (Gk. οἰωνίζομαι) is an Ancient Greek practice of reading omens from the actions of birds, equivalent to the Augury employed by the ancient Romans. The Orion Connection
What does the Orion constellation have to do with the Greek Sun god Apollo? Pretty much nothing at first glance. But wait, what’s this?
The original Apollo mission insignia depicts the Orion constellation:

Tabernacle Colors
We can see this four-fold pattern carried further in the four colors of the tabernacle, as they embody together the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the chief corner-stone in the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, showing his dominion over all Creation. As we have seen, the four celestial pillars/cherubim correspond to the four Cardinal Directions, known as the equinox and Solstice, seen on the eclipticand Equatorat the four-corners of the heavens. The vision of Ezekiel at the river Chebar describes these living creatures, specifically their four faces, matching the signs of the four Cardinal Directions of the heavens. As we have noted regarding the North, it was omitted, as only 3 sides of the Tabernacle are disclosed regarding the order of its Curtains. In the North we find the face of the sign Aquila the Eagle [Ezek.1:10], replacing that of his natural born enemy, the Scorpion/ serpent, as is evident in the triple sign Ophiuchus as he wrestles Serpens the serpent, representing the dragon who fell from his first estate as a lead archangel of God. The gap opened by this fall, will be superseded by the authority of Christ over his Body-the Church, including not only this authority over human kingdoms but angelic kingdoms also. This consistent pattern of four continues throughout the world order as seen in the four basic alchemical elements: earth, wind, fire & water. This also carries over into the four states of matter: liquid, solid, gas and Plasma, not to mention the 4 forces of nature: Gravitational force, Electromagnetic force, Weak Nuclear force and Strong Nuclear force. This basic pattern of nature is not only witnessed in the ministry of angels, but in Christ’s ministry also, as reflected in the 4 gospels above. Thus when we view the two phases of the Return of the Promised Seed, first in his sufferings second in his glory, we can see the following division along the lines of Jesus" ministry as seen in the four gospels:

En Shavuot es costumbre decorar la sinagoga con ramas y flores. Esto es porque el Monte Sinai floreció el día en que se entregó la Torá. La Biblia también asocia a Shavuot con la cosecha de trigo y frutas, y marca el momento en que se traían los primeros frutos al Sagrado Templo, como una expresión de gracias (ver Éxodo 23:16, 34:22 y Números 28:26).

19. Ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde está tu Padre? Respondió Jesús: Ni a mí me conocéis, ni a mi Padre; si a mí me conocieseis, también a mi Padre conoceríais.
20. Estas palabras habló Jesús en el lugar de las ofrendas, enseñando en el templo; y nadie le prendió, porque aún no había llegado su hora.
21. Otra vez les dijo Jesús: Yo me voy, y me buscaréis, pero en vuestro pecado moriréis; a donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir.
22. Decían entonces los judíos: ¿Acaso se matará a sí mismo, que dice: A donde yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir?
23. Y les dijo: Vosotros sois de abajo, yo soy de arriba; vosotros sois de este mundo, yo no soy de este mundo.
24. Por eso os dije que moriréis en vuestros pecados; porque si no creéis que yo soy, en vuestros pecados moriréis.
25. Entonces le dijeron: ¿Tú quién eres? Entonces Jesús les dijo: Lo que desde el principio os he dicho.
26. Muchas cosas tengo que decir y juzgar de vosotros; pero el que me envió es verdadero; y yo, lo que he oído de él, esto hablo al mundo.
27. Pero no entendieron que les hablaba del Padre.
28. Les dijo, pues, Jesús: Cuando hayáis levantado al Hijo del Hombre, entonces conoceréis que yo soy, y que nada hago por mí mismo, sino que según me enseñó el Padre, así hablo.
29. Porque el que me envió, conmigo está; no me ha dejado solo el Padre, porque yo hago siempre lo que le agrada.
30. Hablando él estas cosas, muchos creyeron en él.
31. Dijo entonces Jesús a los judíos que habían creído en él: Si vosotros permaneciereis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;
32. y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres. (UNA REFERENCIA A SALMO 119:142. ES OBVIO QUE TODO ESTO ESTA EN ESE CONTEXTO)

Y tu ley la VERDAD.
33. Le respondieron: Linaje de Abraham somos, y jamás hemos sido esclavos de nadie. ¿Cómo dices tú: Seréis libres? (ES OBVIA LA CONEXION CON GALATAS 4:26)
34. Jesús les respondió: De cierto, de cierto os digo, que todo aquel que hace pecado, esclavo es del pecado.
35. Y el esclavo no queda en la casa para siempre; el hijo sí queda para siempre.
36. Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres.
37. Sé que sois descendientes de Abraham; pero procuráis matarme, porque mi palabra no halla cabida en vosotros.
38. Yo hablo lo que he visto cerca del Padre; y vosotros hacéis lo que habéis oído cerca de vuestro padre.
39. Respondieron y le dijeron: Nuestro padre es Abraham. Jesús les dijo: Si fueseis hijos de Abraham, las obras de Abraham haríais.
40. Pero ahora procuráis matarme a mí, hombre que os he hablado la verdad, la cual he oído de Dios; no hizo esto Abraham.
41. Vosotros hacéis las obras de vuestro padre. Entonces le dijeron: Nosotros no somos nacidos de fornicación; un padre tenemos, que es Dios.
42. Jesús entonces les dijo: Si vuestro padre fuese Dios, ciertamente me amaríais; porque yo de Dios he salido, y he venido; pues no he venido de mí mismo, sino que él me envió.
43. ¿Por qué no entendéis mi lenguaje? Porque no podéis escuchar mi palabra.
44. Vosotros sois de vuestro padre el diablo, y los deseos de vuestro padre queréis hacer. El ha sido homicida desde el principio, y no ha permanecido en la verdad, porque no hay verdad en él. Cuando habla mentira, de suyo habla; porque es mentiroso, y padre de mentira.
45. Y a mí, porque digo la verdad, no me creéis.
46. ¿Quién de vosotros me redarguye de pecado? Pues si digo la verdad, ¿por qué vosotros no me creéis?
47. El que es de Dios, las palabras de Dios oye; por esto no las oís vosotros, porque no sois de Dios.
48. Respondieron entonces los judíos, y le dijeron: ¿No decimos bien nosotros, que tú eres samaritano, y que tienes demonio?
49. Respondió Jesús: Yo no tengo demonio, antes honro a mi Padre; y vosotros me deshonráis.
50. Pero yo no busco mi gloria; hay quien la busca, y juzga.
51. De cierto, de cierto os digo, que el que guarda mi palabra, nunca verá muerte.
52. Entonces los judíos le dijeron: Ahora conocemos que tienes demonio. Abraham murió, y los profetas; y tú dices: El que guarda mi palabra, nunca sufrirá muerte.
53. ¿Eres tú acaso mayor que nuestro padre Abraham, el cual murió? ¡Y los profetas murieron! ¿Quién te haces a ti mismo?
54. Respondió Jesús: Si yo me glorifico a mí mismo, mi gloria nada es; mi Padre es el que me glorifica, el que vosotros decís que es vuestro Dios.
55. Pero vosotros no le conocéis; mas yo le conozco, y si dijere que no le conozco, sería mentiroso como vosotros; pero le conozco, y guardo su palabra.
56. Abraham vuestro padre se gozó de que había de ver mi día; y lo vio, y se gozó.
57. Entonces le dijeron los judíos: Aún no tienes cincuenta años, ¿y has visto a Abraham?
58. Jesús les dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo: Antes que Abraham fuese, yo soy.
59. Tomaron entonces piedras para arrojárselas; pero Jesús se escondió y salió del templo; y atravesando por en medio de ellos, se fue.
