Beltane (Pronounced "B'yal-t'n") is an ancient celebration of fertility. Fertility celebrations have their origins in Ancient Mesopotamia. Orgies took place along with feasting to encourage the fertility of food animals and the abundance of crops for the coming year. Beltane is directly opposite Samhain (Halloween) on the Satanic Calendar as Samhain is the time of reaping. Beltane is also the celebration of the return of the Sun, the planting of crops, and the rebirth of spring.
In Ancient Mesopotamia, this fertility rite was known as “Zagmuku,” Zagmuku was celebrated at the first New Moon after the spring equinox. The Ancients also celebrated the harvest, directly opposite Zagmuku, which was the original Samhain.
Because the holiday focused on rebirth, the original creation epic known the Enuma Elish, was recited on the fourth day of the festival which lasted 12 days. Originally, the celebration was in honor of the Sumerian God, Enlil (Baal) and this is where the name “Beltane” originates. In Mesopotamia, the New Year’s Festival also served to reaffirm the bond between the community and the Gods, the community was represented by the king in temple ritual, for the king was the one responsible for the continual tending of earthly harmony and was held accountable to the Gods. The king joined with the high priestess in the Inner Sanctum of the ziggurat, and both performed ritual sex.
The Satanic year is based upon the natural cycle. The eight major Sabbats are the equinoxes and solstices of the Sun’s year (666), and the 4 cross quarter days that come between them. The four equinoxes and solstices are based upon the motion of the Sun. The equinoxes are at the center of the Sun’s movement and the solstices are the endpoints of the movement. These four solar points are cosmic events based upon the movements of the earth and Sun, symbolizing the interaction of light and darkness. “This date has long been considered a 'power point' of the Zodiac, and is symbolized by the Bull, one of the 'tetramorph' figures featured on the Tarot cards, the World and the Wheel of Fortune. (The other three symbols are the Lion, the Eagle, and the Spirit.)” ¹
These are also seen in the Egyptian Sphinx. “Astrologers know these four figures as the symbols of the four 'fixed' signs of the Zodiac (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), and these naturally align with the four Great Sabbats of Witchcraft.” ²
Beltane is midpoint between the vernal equinox and summer solstice. Due to the alignment of the earth at this important time, telepathic communication with the Gods and spirit world is very open. This is an excellent time to communicate with Demons

Otro misterio es que multiplicando el numero de dias en un año=365.242256 por 0.1618033 nos da practicamente 59 dias que es el periodo desde el 1/1 hasta el 1/3. Concretamente tenemos otra relacion aurea en el calendario gregoriano.

The Real African Feasts
We must remember that the modern Jewish feast has its walls erected in Eastern Europe but, they ignore the root in Africa. So hold on to your Yarmulke and throw those knishes, gefilta fish, matza balls and potato latkes away. There will be goat, fufu, couscous, joluf rice, ingera, casaba, kitfo and yams in the Feast from now on!
This is a case of the strongman [European] entering our home and taking the heritage of the African and changing it to fit their heritage in order to place them at the foundation AND apex of history.

How did the Feasts of the Hebrews come to be?
The according to the Bible, the Lord put lights in the sky as a calendar. In this calendar mankind saw a connection with the universe and himself. The Feast days were a outgrowth of worship in a Theocratic society with God being the head and man being his voice on earth. The Feast were establish for fellowship, thanksgiving and bonding with the Creator, his creation and the family of God. The parents of the original Hebrews were the Egyptians, had long established Feasts days in celebration to seasons of abundance. To do all this you needed a calendar.
'Let the lights appear in the sky to separate day form night and show the time when days, years, and religious festivals begin.' Gen. 1:14
Egypt or Kemet was not out of the loop when this edict came forth. The Bible is speaking of the synopsized report. Egypt had the original thesis.
Nut [Sky] Geb [Earth] the Neteru
Nut [Shamayim] Geb[Adamah] with his penis [seed] pointing at her NAVEL.
Nut was the Egyptian name for the Sky and Geb the name for the Earth. Gebs' phallus is pointed toward Nut's NAVEL and not her vagina as some assume. This is not sexual iconography. This is noting the Nut is the mother of the sky - overshadowing Geb and not having intercourse with her. It is giving a picture of creation. The navel was the important thing it proved our divinity and humanity!
To the ancient Egyptians Nut (Nuit) was the personification of the sky [originally she was an attribute of the sky at day, where the clouds formed] and the heavens.'
Nut the Egyptian word for Sky is the Hebrew word for Shamayim. How does that relate?
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”Genesis 1:26
The Hebrew word for air is: Shamayim, aka Heaven. Shamayim (shaw-mah'-yim): dual of an unused singular shameh {shaw-meh'}; from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve):--air, X astrologer, heaven(-s)." - Strong's Hebrew Dictionary.
The word itself literally means: Sha ("of" or "from") the waters (mayim). Heaven means literally: "From the Waters"! Houses of the star, sun and moon.
Hebrew version:
"And God called the firmament (raqiyah) Heaven (Shamayim)."
Egyptian version:
'And God called the firmament Nut.'
In Nut [the sky/heavens] dwelt the sun, moon and stars and these bodies became a way to develop a calendar in order to have seedtime and harvest.
While the earth remains seedtime and harvest, seedtime and harvest ...shall not cease." (Genesis 8:22)
How did the Egyptians develop and accurate Calendar to perform the Feasts?
'To develop a calendar, you need a regular event that is predictable. And what was more regular and important to the ancient Egyptians than the rise and fall of the River Nile?
The waters started rising around the end of June, and the flood period (achet) lasted until October, covering the land with rich black mud and preparing it for the sowing and growing period (peret). The harvest time (schemu) started at the end of February and ended with the new Nile flood This predictable, ongoing cycle defined the agricultural year. This became fraught with problems since the flood came within a range of 80 days with variable intensities.
Eventually, Sirius, or Sothis as it was called by the ancient Egyptians, the star who's heliacal rising was in early July 3000 years ago [but due to the wobble of the earth on its axis is now a few weeks later] turned out to be a very reliable predictor of the recurring flood and defined the exact length of the trip of the earth around the sun .
The discovery and plotting of the stars like Sirius or Sothis and Orion was very important.
Velikovsky, on the authority of Pliny identifies the star of Isis as the planet Venus and explains that both Venus and Sirius had a role in the Egyptian calendar, the real purpose of the Decree being to make the calendar independent of Venus. Egyptologists generally consider both “star of Isis” and “Sothis” to refer to Sirius.
Immanuel Velikovsky [1895-1979] Earlier in his life, he played a role in the founding of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and was a respected author, psychiatrist/psychoanalist.
His books primarily used comparative mythology and ancient literary sources (not least the Bible) to propose that the Earth had suffered catastrophic close-contacts with other planets in the solar system (principally Venus and Mars), during and before recorded history. He argued that electromagnetic effects played an important role in celestial mechanics. He also proposed a revised chronology of Ancient Egypt, Greece and the Land of Israel and the Near East, aiming to eliminate Dark Ages and reconcile Biblical history with both archeology and Egyptian Chronology.
Sirius was the star that began the accurate calendar for the Egyptian. Naming Sirius after Isis is not idolatry. I would expect that they would not name it anything other than the name of the child of a neteru like Isis. Neteroo was misinterpreted god and goddess by the European translators, but they were just the ancient names for earth, sun, sky, air etc and how they formed the universe. So when you see Geb, Nut and the rest don't panic.
Sirius has been identified by some as the Biblical star Mazzaroth (the Book of Job, 38:32). The Semitic name for Sirius was Hasil, while the Hebrews also used the name Sihor. The latter an Egyptian name, learned by the Hebrews prior to their Exodus. But ancient Egypt provides the most regal history for Sirius. Initially, it was Hathor, the ancient great mother goddess, who was identified with Sirius. But Isis soon became the major archetype, sharing honors with the title of Sirius as the Nile Star.
Remember, the times the Festivals are celebrate by vary depending on what area of the world you are in. just like Florida has a different type of winter that Minnesota so the variation in worship around the world. So in African [ including Palestine] the Festivals were at the same time as the Harvest months.

The calendar system of ancient Egypt is unique to both the cosmology of the Egyptians and their religion. Unlike the modern Julian calendar system, with it's 365 days to a year, the Egyptians followed a calendar system of 360 days, with three seasons, each made up of 4 months, with thirty days in each month.
The first new moon following the reappearance of Sirius [the dog star] after it disappeared under the horizon for 70 days was established as the first day of the New Year (Egypt: wepet senet) and of the achet (flood) period--even if the Nile had not yet started to rise.
The priests also observed there were four moon periods that fit into each of the three seasons , but it did not fit. The lunar month has 29 ½ days, resulting in "short" or "long" years of 12 or 13 new moons.
The appearance of Sirius and the next New Year put the calendar back to baseline. Later they developed a ' leap year' to put the calendar back on schedule with the Sun Moon and Stars.
The Egyptian calendar clearly took into account the lunar cycles, as it, according to Herodotus, "consisted] of twelve divisions of the seasons." and they used forms of intercalculatis to keep the lunar calendar seasonally consistent. "the Egyptians, reckoning thirty days to each of the twelve months, add five days in every year over and above the total, and thus the completed circle of seasons is made to agree with the calendar."
They eventually had a system of 36 stars to mark out the year and in the end had three different calendars working concurrently for over 2000 years: a stellar calendar for agriculture, a solar year of 365 days (12 months x 30 + 5 extra) and a quasi-lunar calendar for festivals. The later Egyptian calendars developed sophisticated Zodiac systems, as in the stone calendar at right.
According to the famed Egyptologist J. H. Breasted, the earliest date known in the Egyptian calendar corresponds to 4236 B.C.E. in terms of the Gregorian calendar.
The seasons of the Egyptians corresponding with the cycles of the Nile, and were known as:
1. Inundation (pronounced akhet which lasted from June 21st to October 21st).
2. Emergence (pronounced proyet which lasted from October 21st to February 21st).
3. Summer (pronounced shomu which lasted from February 21st to June 21st).

 The earliest Egyptian calendar was based on the moon's cycles, but the lunar calendar failed to predict a critical event in their lives: the annual flooding of the Nile river. The Egyptians soon noticed that the first day the "Dog Star," which we call Sirius, in Canis Major was visible right before sunrise was special.
The Egyptians were probably the first to adopt a mainly solar calendar. This so-called 'heliacal rising' always preceded the flood by a few days. Based on this knowledge, they devised a 365-day calendar that seems to have begun in 4236 B.C.E., the earliest recorded year in history.
Early Egyptians depended on the Nile's annual rising and flooding. Each year as that great river flooded it brought down mountain soil to the Egyptian plain. This enriched the fields and enabled creation of an agricultural system that supported a large civilization.
In the eighth century B.C.E., the Egyptian Pharaoh's primary advisor, the Vizier, was charged with reporting the first appearance of the bright star we call Sirius after it had been missing from the sky for (depending upon the observer's latitude) approximately two weeks.
This first appearance of Sirius in the pre-dawn sky was used to start the Egyptian calendar year, which was used for purposes of regulating religious affairs and everyday life.
Shortly after Sirius first reappeared in the east, the Nile would have its annual life-giving flood [same as a woman's menstruation]. Because of the Nile's flooding at this time, the fixing of the new year could well be said to have been based on a geophysical as well as an astronomical event. Although many other stars may be used to fix the beginning of a sidereal year, the Egyptians.
'Frequently, inscribed on the walls of such temples are detailed lists of feasts, all presented in a systematic manner. Such festival calendars were also copied and kept in the scrolls of the temple archives. From these, we can often determine whether a feast took place within the civil calendar or according to the moon.'
'Most of the festivals that we know of from ancient Egypt are cultic [see definition below], rather than civil. There were probably plenty of civil celebrations, but our sources are mostly religious.

una evidencia historica y cientifica de que Dios mueve la historia es hacer un estudio sobre los dias de luto que tenian los judios. Uno de estos dias era el 9 de AV, que es el quinto mes judio. En dicho dia los judios tuvieron varias desgracias a travez de la historia.
1) Cuando vuelven los 10 espias sin confianza, y luego ningun judio de esa generacion pudo ingresar a la tierra de Canan.
2)Destruccion del templo de salomon en el 586 AC
3)Destruccion del segundo templo en el 70 DC.
4)Destruccion de SIMON BAR KOHBA en el 135DC y comienzo de la diaspora del pueblo judio. Fijate que fue despues de exactamente 65 años como dice la profecia de Isaias.
5)Expulsion de los judios en Inglaterra en el 1290 DC.
6)Expulsion de los judios de España en el 1492 DC.
7)Comienzo de la primera guerra mundial, la cual estuvo muy relacionada con el pueblo judio.

La Aparición de Moisés En Cada Generación
El Zohar enseña que nuestro Maestro Moisés "aparece" en cada generación, y en cada una de ellas hay un único individuo que es su encarnación. El espíritu de Moisés emana a todo hombre sabio de la generación, y de él a todos los que viven en su época, iluminando el alma judía con la luz de las partes internas y ocultas de la Torá ("el 'alma' de la Torá"), confiriéndoles el poder del Conocimiento Supremo, el poder que le permite a uno conocer y aferrarse al que "Da la Torá", Di-s, Bendito Sea.
Luego de la entrega de la Torá, en el principio del mes de Sivan, Moisés ascendió al monte Sinaí, donde permaneció por "cuarenta días y cuarenta noches", hasta el diecisiete (tov - "bien" = 17) de Tamuz ( "no hay otro "bien" que la Torá" - Pirkei Abot 6:3).
Si no fuera por el pecado del becerro de oro (que se produjo como resultado de la decepción al imaginar que Moshé había muerto - Talmud Bavli, Shabbat 89a), hubiéramos sido meritorios de poder ver concretamente la esencial "benevolencia" de Di-s cada día (como es sabido que "Di-s es la esencia del 'bien'", "y por naturaleza, alguien que es bueno siempre desea hacer el bien").
Ese mismo día se dió testimonio de la consumación de la entrega del verdadero "bien" al pueblo "bueno", o como afirman los sabios: "Deja que el "bueno" (Moisés) venga y reciba el "bien" (Torá) de parte de "El Bueno" (Di-s), para el pueblo "bueno" (Israel), Talmud Bavli, Menajot 53b).
La Cadena de Transmisión de la Torá
Esos 40 días que Moisés permaneció en el monte (en un estado que trasciende el tiempo tal como es conocido en este plano terrenal... "Él no comió pan ni tomó agua" - Exodo 34:28), comparable a las 40 generaciones de la transmisión de la Torá desde Moisés, nuestro Maestro, (quien recibió la Torá Escrita [en forma completa, y también la revelación inicial de la Torá Oral]), hasta Rav Ashi (en cuya generación y a través suyo fue plasmada la Torá Oral) como fue aclarado por Maimonides en la Introducción de su gran tratado legal Mishné Torá.
Moisés, nuestro Maestro, vivió en la 26o generación desde la Creación. 26 es también el equivalente numérico del Nombre de Di-s Havaiá, asociado con la Torá Escrita (el secreto de la sefirá de tiferet - "belleza", como está argumentado en Cabalá). Rav Ashi es la 65o generación (26 hasta Moisés incluido, más 39 generaciones hasta Rav Ashi). 65 es el equivalente numérico de otro Nombre central de Di-s: Adnut, el nombre asociado con la Torá Oral (el secreto de la sefirá de maljut, "reinado", "maljut es la boca, también llamada la Torá Oral" [Pataj Eliahu]). Evolución, Investir, Morar
La cadena generacional en la transmisión de la Torá, no debe ser vista como que se produce sólo a nivel de "desarrollo" y "evolución" (descripciones usadas para entender el "desencadenamiento de los mundos" durante el proceso de Creación). En todo proceso de desarrollo y evolución, el "final" del "nivel superior" está incluido en la "cabeza" o "principio" del "nivel inferior" (como la sucesión de eslabones en una cadena). El "final" del que influencia (el maestro), puede revelar enseñanzas (en forma oral) al receptor. Esta instrucción entra y es aprehendida por la "cabeza" del que recibe.
Sin embargo, la transmisión generacional de la Torá es mucho más que un simple proceso de desarrollo y evolución. Más exacto es verlo como que el maestro se "inviste" dentro del estudiante-receptor, algo similar al alma que se "inviste" dentro del cuerpo, con el fin de traerlo a la vida y darle continua existencia. No sólo el conocimiento revelado del maestro pasa al estudiante de una manera evolutiva, sino que también el alma del maestro "impregnada" en el estudiante, causa el despertar del poder intelectual de este, que luego fluye como un "inagotable manantial".
Más aún, y más esencial por cierto: desde una perspectiva más profunda, el Rebe (el Moisés de cada generación) y el discípulo son verdaderamente "uno" completamente unificados. Este nivel de revelación es el secreto del "morar" Divino a través de la aceptación de la Torá en cada generación. El nombre hebreo Moisés, es un acrónimo de "lo que fue, es lo que será" (Eclesiastes 1:9). "Moisés es Verdad y su Torá es Verdad" (Midrash Tanjuma, Koraj 11), y como es sabido, la Verdad es una cualidad eterna e indestructible. Cuando Di-s llama: "Moisés Moisés" (Exodo 3:4), notamos que no hay ninguna nota de entonación que indique un corte o pausa entre los dos "Moisés". Ambos, Moisés y la Torá, participan de lo eterno, de lo inquebrantable, porque ambos reflejan la Verdad.
Durante los 40 Días desde la entrega de la Torá hasta el diecisiete (tov) de Tamuz, Moisés (y a través de él toda alma judía) recibió iluminación desde la Morada Divina. Esta inspiración Divina fue otorgada en la entrega de la Torá a Moisés, y por eso -y en cada generación hasta la llegada del Mashiaj- "Moisés es el primer redentor, y es el redentor final". El pecado del becerro de oro, fue causado por una falta de conciencia de este secreto. El avanzado nivel de percepción de Moisés en la montaña (behar es similar a la palabra behirut, denotando un entendimiento claro y cristalino) no trajo al pueblo judío a un nivel similar de conciencia Divina. Por eso, después del pecado, le es dicho a Moisés: "Ve abajo (de la montaña)", para conducir al pueblo judío hacia una percepción conciente de que en su interior mora algo Divino.
Para aquel que alcanza esta percepción Divina (y consecuentemente rectifica el pecado del becerro de oro, la falsa ilusión de que "Moisés murió" como fue dicho arriba), Moisés vive eternamente -un alma dentro del cuerpo- "Porque la tierra (el cuerpo) estará llena del conocimiento de Di-s (el alma de Moisés) como las aguas ("Yo lo saqué de las aguas" - Exodo 2:10) cubren el lecho del mar" (Isaias 11:9).

 Jan I did not want to overwhelm the readers on this forum. I have a feeling that folk's eyes glaze over if the posts are too long.  Now in reference to the above imagery and sacred geometry taken from your website Jan, I too have noticed the same 'patterns' being used since time immemorial. And these archetypal connections I feel have something to do with the evolution of our own DNA. La estrella Spica es la que estaba más cerca del Sol desde nuestro punto de vista cuando se inició el conteo del tiempo gregoriano. Ocurrió el 13 de octubre de 1582. Las personas que inauguraron el calendario gregoriano lo hicieron "drásticamente" convirtiendo al 14 de octubre en 4 de octubre, "borrando" virtualmente 10 días de la memoria histórica. Entonces el planeta Mercurio estaba justo al otro lado del Sol, es decir, la Tierra y Mercurio en oposición, y cuando, desde la Tierra, hacía 13 días que el Sol había pasado por encima de Spica (un 30 de septiembre). El día 13 de octubre los líderes religiosos decidieron que el día 14 de octubre sería el 4 de octubre, día en el que la estrella Spica era la que estaba más cerca del Sol desde nuestro punto de vista.

We talked about the alignment of Mars opposition (i.e. Sun-Earth-Mars) that takes place approximately every 2 years (26 months, 'synodic' cycle), but there are other ways of tracking Mars' orbital cycle. For instance, there is the 'sidereal' orbital cycle, based on which we can ask ourselves: 'When did Mars return to the same solar winter-solstice stargate spot where it was positioned on Sept. 11, 2001?' (See illustration above). The answer:

Mars returned to the '9/11 position' at the intersection of the Milky Way and the ecliptic in March 2003 - that is, the very month the Iraq war started!

The Iraq war began on March 20 (Iraqi time); the Red Planet's '9/11 return' came on March 7. Interestingly, the 13-day difference closely matches a half cycle of the Moon's sidereal orbit around the earth (~27 days) - meaning the Moon would be on the opposite side of the earth relative to the background stars in about 13 days. So we see the familiar notion of 'opposition' subtly embedded here. But there is a more compelling way of bridging March 7 and March 20. There is now a 13-day difference between the Julian calendar and the modern (and more accurate) Gregorian calendar - which means that March 20 Gregorian is March 7 Julian... Or, March 20 equals March 7!

We also observe that there is exactly a 13-day difference between the historic Mar-Earth encounter of Aug. 27, '03 (closest distance on 8/27; opposition on 8/28) and the historic major power outage ('Total Blackout') that struck the east coast of the US (and Canada) on August 14 which is symbolically linked to the 'rise of Schwarzenegger' that came just days earlier.
Further supporting the Martian nature of the Iraq war is the timing of, again, its commencement. March 20 coincided with the spring equinox - when the Sun is at the crossing point of the ecliptic and the celestial equator. The Sun rises due east on the two equinoctial days of the year. This phenomenon is inseparable from the Great Sphinx at Giza, Egypt; and the Sphinx was - like Mars - considered a form of Horus.

And because of the traditional Sphinx-Mars association, equinoctial days such as March 20 in 2003 are 'Mars days'. The Iraq war could thus be said to have begun on a 'Mars day', in the month of March/Mars! And Mars has long been considered the planet/god of... war.
Given this apparent importance accorded to the spring equinox of 2003, we certainly cannot ignore the other 'Mars day' - the autumnal equinox (September 23). And there is indeed much to be learned there too.

El mágico día del Solsticio...Hor-em-Akhet, <>. ....552 dias y contando.....
Y en la Tierra hace 12.000 años, apenas un segundo del Tiempo Cósmico, se desarrolló una Civilización Antigua y Sabia en el país de Khemet (así se llamaba Egipto en la antigüedad), el legado de una herencia de una Civilización Milenaria que desapareció de la faz de la Tierra y que fue conocida como AHA-MEN-PTAH o La Atlántida.

ASTRONOMÍA Y ASTROLOGÍA
La sabiduría astronómica de los egipcios sobrepasa los límites de la ciencia que practican los individuos de la presente civilización. Los astrónomos modernos se ven en la imposibilidad de explicar cómo dedujeron aquellos antiguos sabios algunas de sus interpretaciones astronómicas.
En esta rama de estudio y sabiduría vamos a extendernos con placer, ya que es una de las ramas que más nos gustan y que podemos aportar múltiples conocimientos y anotaciones.
La Gran Pirámide está ubicada sobre el paralelo 30, el cual es la doceava parte de un círculo, o sea, que ha sido colocada de tal manera que quepa siempre debajo de un signo exacto del Zodiaco.
Si a la altura h=147 m lo multiplicamos por 10 (9) es igual a la distancia media de la Tierra al Sol, distancia que sólo pudo calcularse a comienzos de nuestro siglo XX.
-La distancia media Sol-Tierra es 1 U.A. (Unidad Astronómica), que equivale a 149.675.000 km.
La gran pirámide de Keops medía originalmente 147 metros de altura.
Su altura coincide a escala casi exactamente con la distancia entre el SOL y la Tierra 149.504.000 Km, es decir equivale aproximadamente a la milmillonésima parte de la distancia que media entre la Tierra y el Sol.
Habíamos dicho que el perímetro total de la base de la Gran Pirámide p= 23o x 4= 920m
Si dividimos el perímetro por dos veces la altura= (920 / 2h)= 3,1416= П.
Y este valor a escala no es una referencia sin importancia. Que el perímetro tenga una relación de 2 П respecto a la altura h, representa el Hemisferio Norte a una escala 1:43.200. Si multiplicamos 146,347 por 43.200 obtenemos la cifra de 6.322190,4 que son -30 kilómetros por abajo- los kilómetros del radio polar de nuestro planeta. Y aún hay más. A nivel astronómico, en el ciclo de la precesión de los equinoccios, que explicaremos más adelante, 4.320 años corresponden al paso de 2 Eras Zodiacales de 2160 años y el cambio de la Estrella Polar en el Norte de la Bóveda Celeste. Esto tiene su enorme importancia como veremos en la explicación de la precesión de los equinoccios.
Al conocer la forma esférica de la Tierra, les sirvió para establecer en 365,25 días la duración del año solar, así como para dar al perímetro de la base de la Pirámide un valor equivalente a una fracción exacta de la circunferencia terrestre.
Históricamente se le atribuye el descubrimiento de la precesión de los equinoccios a Hiparco de Nicea como el primero en dar el valor de la precesión de la Tierra con una aproximación extraordinaria para la época. Las fechas exactas no son conocidas, pero las observaciones astronómicas atribuidas a Hiparco por Ptolomeo datan del 147 a.C. al 127 a.C. Algunos historiadores sostienen que este fenómeno ya era conocido, al menos en parte, por los antiguos sabios de la India, existen indicios también de que el astrónomo Babilonio Cidenas hubiese advertido este desplazamiento ya en el año 340 a.C.
Según fuentes oficiales de la historia, datan el conocimiento de la precesión de los equinoccios a Hiparco de Nicea en el año 147 a.C. aproximadamente. Como veremos La Gran Pirámide es entre otras cosas un marcador cósmico de la precesión de los equinoccios, y en una fecha que según pruebas arqueológicas no oficiales de la Esfinge de Gizeh por erosión según John Anthony West podrían datarla en el 10.000 a.C. y por pruebas astronómicas no oficiales de Robert Bauval (principio de correspondencia del Cinturión de Orión con las Pirámides de Gizeh y marcador equinoccial de la esfinge) también en el 10.500 a.C.
Ciclo Zodiacal y Año Cósmico
Según los egipcios y sus antecesores los atlantes, así como otras antiguas culturas como los mayas y los indios hopi, el Sistema Solar gira alrededor de la estrella Alcyone, el Sol Central de las Pléyades, y tarda 25.920 años en hacer un giro completo alrededor de este Centro Galáctico pasando por las 12 constelaciones zodiacales.
La Tecnología del Antiguo Egipto muestra más signos de retroceso que de progreso. Sabemos que las pirámides de los últimos faraones del Imperio Antiguo son notablemente inferiores, en términos de calidad y perfección técnica de la obra, en comparación a las grandes realizaciones de los antepasados. Este conjunto de pruebas demuestra una involución con el paso de las dinastías.
De setenta y tres metros de largo por veinte de alto, la Esfinge es en realidad una roca natural a la que un día se le dio forma de león y que los elementos se encargaron después de desgastar sin piedad. Clavada frente a la segunda pirámide del conjunto y orientada con una precisión asombrosa hacia el este.
Los antiguos egipcios, la conocieron en cambio como Hor-em-Akhet, <>. La Esfinge y las pirámides no sólo resultan un enigma de tremendas implicaciones por sus anomalías físicas — bloques de hasta doscientas toneladas (casi el peso de trescientos coches) pueden hallarse en la meseta de Gizeh—, sino por cuestiones más formales, como la ausencia de inscripciones de la época de su construcción que ayuden a entender quienes las levantarón y por qué.
Sin inscripciones, sin el cuerpo de un sólo faraón descubierto en el interior de una pirámide, y rodeados de los monumentos más grandes jamás diseñados por el hombre, el misterio sigue vigente desde hace siglos.
En uno de sus últimos libros, Robert Bauval afirmaba que la Gran Esfinge había sido construida, entre otras cosas, como una especie de gran marcador de los equinoccios. Durante dos días al año (alrededor del 21 de marzo y el 21 de septiembre, al principio de la primavera y el otoño, respectivamente), el día y la noche tienen exactamente la misma duración. Además, a diferencia de los solsticios, el Sol durante esos dos momentos surge exactamente por el este, proporcionando un dato geoastronómico de inestimable valor para la fijación del resto de los puntos cardinales. Y aún hay más. Fue construido con cuerpo de León porque marcaba la Era de Leo (10.000 años a.C), cuando en el amanecer del equinoccio de primavera salía por el Este la constelación de Leo. ¿Cuál fue su propósito? ¿Porqué quisieron marcar esta fecha singular y la llamaron Zep Tepi (Tiempo Primordial)?

La anotación de los periódos del año, equinoccios y solsticios, es importantísimo para la fijación del calendario anual, y para el seguimiento y datación de la precesión de los equinoccios, como veremos más adelante.
Equinoccios y Solsticios.
Vamos a ver en imágenes como se producía esta anotación en función de la esfinge de Gizeh.
1. Equinoccio de primavera. Durante el equinoccio de primavera, el 21 de Marzo, el Sol sale justo por el Este durante 2 días.
2. Solsticio de Verano.
Actualmente, cada 19 de junio del calendario gregoriano, la Nave Tierra en la que viajamos se coloca en el punto de su órbita en el que cruza por la línea que une al Sol y al centro de la Galaxia, es decir, que el planeta se coloca entre dos centros cósmicos: el centro del Sistema solar (el Sol) y el común a todas las estrellas, el Centro de la Galaxia. El centro del Ser galáctico es el punto de referencia fundamental para nuestra orientación en un Espacio en el que no existen fechas ni horas, y por ello es un "vacío terrible" para la mente acostumbrada a "marcapasos".
Teniendo en cuenta que el Sol (Sistema solar, y con él las órbitas de los planetas como la Tierra) gira alrededor de otro centro como puede ser el propio centro galáctico, y que los calendarios son estructuras mentales estáticas no vivientes y por ello incapaces de adaptarse a la dinámica de los movimientos de los astros en el Espacio, es fácil imaginar que hace 2000 años (por ejemplo) esta circunstancia ocurriera en otra fecha, en tal caso de hace 2000 años el 24 de mayo. Pero para los astros no existen nuestras fechas sino sus movimientos circulares y sus alineaciones que se producen cíclicamente en el infinito EspacioTiempo (88) del Ser universal. Sus astros (sus reflejos, sus señales, nuestros guías) son los puentes para la reintegración de nuestra conciencia en la dinámica universal. Los calendarios, al ser estáticos, "congelan" la conciencia, y se hacen útiles sólo para una existencia lineal con una esperanza media de 70 años (tal es la duración media de una persona moderna).
Durante el solsticio de verano, el 21 de Junio, el Sol salía por el Noreste a 28º a la izquierda de la visión de la esfinge.
3. Equinoccio de Otoño. Durante el equinoccio de otoño, el 21 de Septiembre, el Sol salía justo por el Este durante 2 días.
4. Solsticio de invierno. Durante el solsticio de invierno, el 21 de Diciembre, el Sol salía a 28º Sureste de la visión de la esfinge.
