I would advise you to form study groups with your fellow classmates or friends. Then you can help each other out with homework questions that you can’t solve or answer alone. Studying in groups also cement the learning process as that when you can explain a concept to someone else, your brain also reinforces that concept in your memory. Thus making your academic foundation stronger.
If that’s not enough, please seek out help from your teachers, school counselor or ask for a school tutor. There are after school homework programs with teachers or upper level students helping the younger/new students. Of course, the availability of such programs depends on the school or local educational culture, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
