   The graphic below shows another view of the precession of the poles from the perspective of the interlocking wheels of the ecliptic and Equator, with the fish shaped lozenge of the vesica between them. This "vessel of the fish" is formed from the lozenge of these two interlocking circles, the center of each located on the perimeter of the other. Archimedes called the formula associated with this, the "Measure of the fish." Its import to math and geometry was found in the ratio of its height to its length [153:265], and the fact that it represented the nearest whole number approximation of the square root of three, along with the controlling ratio of equilateral triangles.¹¹ This provides abasis from which we can explore genuine aspects of the Creator's application of mathematics and geometry in His structure and ordering of Creation, according to the ruling base 60 standard of the precession of the equinoxes. This will differ widely from what has occurred with past associations in the mysticism of "sacred geometry."

   This view powerfully depicts how the Temple and Tabernacle symbolized God's celestial design of the heavens, seen in their two altars, mirroring the two poles of the ecliptic and the Celestial Equator. This also agrees with many of the principles seen in the pattern of God's Intelligent Design inherent in His Creation. Since the "pattern of the Tabernacle" contains the phi ratio also known as the "divine proportion" or the golden section we can see definitive Biblical evidence that this universally recognized standard of measure is truly divine in origin, since the dimesions of these sacred architectural structures were given by revelation from God to Moses and King David.
A goal of Biblical Archaeo-Astronomy is to adopt a fresh view of the archaeology of Biblical artifacts like the Hebrew Temple and Tabernacle, viewed through the lens of the principles of Biblical Astronomy. This allows us to catch new glimpses of glories long hidden from the astrologers and empiricists, whose practices for too long have clouded the inherent grandeur of the Creator's sacred architecture.

   By liberating the divine blueprint of the Temple and Tabernacle from a profane orientation that has served to distort its original pattern, perhaps a new light can be shed upon the true Godly design and purpose hidden in these divine architectural blueprints. By allowing God's Word to speak for itself in this important area, we introduce a fresh perspective to the field of Archaeo-Astronomy, emphasizing the liberating power of adopting a genuine Biblical perspective in this meaningful area of research.

   We should keep in mind here that this double-square, (1x 2 rectangle) configuration of the Tabernacle's court containing the phi ratio, is also found in the dimensions of the Ark of the Covenant [Ex. 25:10], along with in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid. The dynamic celestial equator, the second circle secular in nature, relates to both the civil calendar year and the earthly Equator as it is mirrored above into the heavens. The movement of this equatorial pole around the static pole of the ecliptic is what is known as the precession of the poles. The intersection points of the ecliptic and the Celestial Equator are called the equinoctial points, which we know as the Spring and Fall equinox, the days when the length of daylight is equal to the dark of night. The altar in the Holy of Holies, keeping the Ark of the Covenant is represented in the sacred pole of the ecliptic, around which the equatorial pole moves, both wheels, inter-locked in the form of a Venn Diagram, depicting God's personal presence among His people. In the Old Testament, God's presence was only accessible annually as the people obeyed the guidelines of the Law carried out by the High Priest, to cover for their sins. The pattern of access from the east mentioned above, holds true not only for Solomon's Temple of the Old Testament, but also remained for the later Temple referred to in Ezekiel 43. Let's take a detailed look at how the return of Christ integrates this theme of eastern access in the Temple and Tabernacle.

Ezekiel 43:1-5 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. [4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house.

   God's people are no longer dependent upon the sacrifices of bulls and goats by a High Priest that could only enter the presence of God once a year, but would have continual access to the Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, the High Priest after the order of Melchisedek. As we have pointed out in other sections of our web-site, the planet Jupiter was known by the Hebrew name Sedeq, showing the relation of the planet Jupiter with Melchisedek. The Jews looked upon him (the Messiah) as the royal offspring of David "the Sedeq Branch" (Jer. 23:5 Jehovah-Tsidkenu). More than that, the word Sedeq was associated with the word Melek (King) which was combined to form Melchisedek, the Righteous King.¹²

Hebrews 7:11

If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Heb 10:19 -20

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

   As the redeemer and High Priest for all mankind, the ministry of Jesus Christ would include not only the restoration of man to the principles that governed the Paradise Administration before the serpent's temptation of Eve, but much more. Christ's redeeming work encompasses not only the sins of Adam and Eve, but also the many offenses of man since the fall of Adam. Thus we regain in Christ much more than we lost in Adam's fall, resulting from his one sin. The death of the first Adam, the death of a sinless man, initiated the ruin of Paradise and the transfer of Adam's dominion over the earth, to the serpent. Only a similar sacrifice will pay the legal debt of our salvation. To redeem humanity, Jesus had to come to us, [I John 4:1-3] totally within the category of flesh to redeem those born into the same category, [Heb. 2:16-17, 4:15]. A "God-man" would not be tempted by the world of fleshly things as other men [James 1:13-15]. If Jesus was not a man of flesh and bone as he called himself in his resurrected body, then he could not have been the perfect sacrifice required-the death of a sinless man, to redeem humanity, and we would remain unsaved!  This is consummated in the final Paradise Administration referred to in Revelation 21-22. We find this in the reference to Jesus Christ as the "no more curse" in Rev. 22:3, who healed the curse that was put upon man as a result the fall in Genesis 3:17.

Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

   Thus, the birth of the only begotten Son of God signaled the beginning of the end of this curse. The pattern of eastern access to the Temple and Tabernacle is also found in the order of the celestial signs surrounding the birth of Christ. We find this in the pattern of the three Jupiter-Venus Conjunctions, marking the birth of Christ that occurred from 3 to 1 BC. The first Conjunction was in the final degree of Cancer, near its zero line border with Leo. The second was in fully in Leo, while the third was in Virgo. These three signs represent the eastern quarter of the zodiac of Israel, the heavenly image of the eastern side of the wilderness camp of the Israelites, the entrance or Way to the Door of the holy place (the truth) in the Hebrew Tabernacle. In Genesis 3:24, after God rejected Adam & Eve from Paradise, He protected the Way of the Tree of Life on the east of Eden, with the Cherubim's fiery sword, until the redeemer could come to reactivate the way of salvation and eternal life with God, for humanity. This door ultimately lead to the altar of the holy of holies, (the Life) in the inner heart of God's Sanctuary, containing the Ark of the Covenant. The temporal progression of these conjunctions perfectly matches the divine pattern of Israel's tribal arrangement on the eastern side of the Tabernacle. Judah/Leo was due east of the entrance to the holy of the holies, via the holy place, centrally located between the other two eastern tribes of Issachar/Cancer and Zebulon/Virgo. These planetary unions surrounding the birth of Christ are fully detailed in my book on The Season of the Morning Star. This eastern door to the Tabernacle represents the way, the truth, and the life, of John 14:6, which is embodied in Jesus Christ as the light of the world, and the door of the sheep, the Good Shepherd [Jn.10], the true way which leads unto life.

   The truths of Jesus as the Shepherd are vividly seen in three Psalms 22, 23 and 24, showing the sufferings and glory of the Lord. As the Prophet, the Good Shepherd gave his life not only for the sheep, but for the safe-keeping of all people who would come unto him [John 10:11]. As the High Priest and the Great Shepherd, he is the first, last and only door, the alpha and omega, which provides the way of access through his resurrection [Heb. 13:20] unto life, into the true spiritual fellowship with our Heavenly Father. As the King and Chief Shepherd, his return will exhibit his final glory, coming as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, [I Pet. 5:4, Rev. 19:16].

   Thus, like the eastern shepherd, Jesus Christ embodies Jehovah-Nissi: the redemptive name for God protecting His people, [Ps. 23:1].

   The Door, or gate giving access to the holiest of all was covered by a veil in both the Temple & Tabernacle. The veil ofthe Tabernacle, which hung on four pillars, separated the holy of the holies, the central point of God's presence among His people, from the holy place. Woven into the fabric of this linen veil, the Cherubim were depicted, the special class of angels who are always prominent in God's throne-room. They are uniquely pictured as having four faces that correspond to the "four royal signs" of the zodiac, ruling the four-corners or celestial pillars of heaven, previously seen in Numbers 24:7-9.

La Última Cena del Señor

   Jesús realiza la institución de la Eucaristía, anticipa de forma sacramental –“mi Cuerpo entregado, mi Sangre derramada”- el sacrificio que va a consumar al día siguiente en el Calvario. Jesús se nos da en la Eucaristía para fortalecer nuestra debilidad, acompañar nuestra soledad y como un anticipo del Cielo. Jesús, aquella noche dió a sus Apóstoles y sus sucesores, los obispos y sacerdotes, la potestad de renovar el prodigio hasta el final de los tiempos:Haced esto en memoria mía (Lucas 22,19;1 Corintios 2,24)

I. Jesús celebra la Pascua rodeado de los suyos. Todos los momentos de esta Última Cena reflejan la Majestad de Jesús, que sabe que morirá al día siguiente, y su gran amor y ternura por los hombres. Jesús encomendó la disposición de lo necesario a sus discípulos predilectos: Pedro y Juan. Los dos Apóstoles se esmeran en los preparativos. Pusieron un especial empeño en que todo estuviera perfectamente dispuesto. Jesús se vuelca en amor y ternura hacia sus discípulos. Es una cena testamentaria; es una cena afectuosa e inmensamente triste, al tiempo que misteriosamente reveladora de promesas divinas, de visiones supremas. Lo que Cristo hizo por los suyos puede resumirse en estas breves palabras de San Juan: los amó hasta el fin (Juan 13, 1). Hoy meditamos en ese amor de Jesús por cada uno de nosotros, y en cómo estamos correspondiendo: en el trato con Él, en los actos de desagravio, en la caridad con los demás, en nuestro amor a la Eucaristía...

II. Jesús realiza la institución de la Eucaristía, anticipa de forma sacramental –“mi Cuerpo entregado, mi Sangre derramada”- el sacrificio que va a consumar al día siguiente en el Calvario. Esta tarde, cuando vayamos a adorarle en el Monumento, nos encontraremos con Él: nos ve y nos reconoce. Le contaremos lo que nos ilusiona y lo que nos preocupa y le agradeceremos su entrega amorosa. Jesús siempre nos espera en el Sagrario.

III. Jesús habla a sus Apóstoles de su inminente partida, y es entonces cuando enuncia el Mandamiento Nuevo, proclamado, por otra parte, en cada página del Evangelio: Este es mi mandamiento: que os améis los unos a los otros como yo os he amado (Juan 15, 12). Hoy, Jueves Santo, podemos preguntarnos si nos conocen como discípulos de Cristo porque vivimos con finura la caridad con los que nos rodean, mientras recordamos, cuando está tan próxima la Pasión del Señor, la entrega de María al cumplimiento de la Voluntad de Dios y al servicio de los demás. “La inmensa caridad de María hace que se cumpla, también en Ella, la afirmación de Cristo: nadie tiene amor más grande que el que da su vida por sus amigos (Juan 15, 13)” (SAN JOSEMARIA  ESCRIVÁ, Amigos de Dios).

El Pez, Júpiter y el Zodíaco

<> El Pez de Piscis, representado por el 12avo signo del Zodíaco, encapsulado con dos medias lunas, una creciente y otra menguante, es uno de los símbolos más antiguos usado por los tempranos cristianos para identificarse con el nuevo rey de los dioses, como se distingue como el "Pescador de hombres".

Los Apóstoles Pedro, Santiago, Andrés y Juan fueron adicionalmente retratados como pescadores. En el siglo II, uno del tempranos padres cristianos, Tertulio, escribió de esta manera:

"Pero nosotros, los cristianos, somos peces pequeños, según el tipo de nuestro gran Pez, Jesús Cristo, nacido en el agua".

Los himnos populares se referían después a Jesús como "el Pequeño Pez que la Virgen cogió en la Fuente".

Sin embargo, en griego, los Peces fueron conocidos como "Icthys", que también después llegó a ser el icono para Jesús en hebreo, usado después como un acróstico del griego “Iesous Cristos Theou Hyios Soter" o "Jesús Cristo de Dios el Sol/Hijo (Sun/Son), el Salvador". Este Ichthys, pez del agua, también se conoció como descendencia del Sol del antiguo mar y diosa Luna, que por mucho tiempo fueron una figura central de muchas mitologías muy tempranas que giraban alrededor del zodíaco, cuando Júpiter entró en Aries, el Carnero, a través de Piscis.

Este símbolo del pez estaba virtualmente atado a una serie de antiguas deidades Lunares, debido a esta órbita lunar que gobierna el mar y las mareas, como según Plinio, junto con la intercesión de los Cielos, también se volvió una profesión sostenida exclusivamente por mujeres que promulgaron los cambios de estaciones y la cosecha, así como el diseño de calendarios que predecían eclipses y prediciendo el futuro. Aun en uno de los santuarios más importantes y más antiguos en Grecia, el “Delphos/Delphi", que también quería decir "Ballena" y "Útero", de donde el Oráculo de Pythia (Pitonisa) recibía sus profecías y donde los griegos consultaban antes de tomar decisiones importantes.

Plutarco, afamado sacerdote en Delfos hizo el recuento que, después de que el dios Sol, Apolo derrotó a Pitón y presidió sobre Delfos durante 9 meses, que la Urna fue después, entonces fijada y designada de nuevo a los a las Menadas de Dionisio para la preparación del renacimiento. En los Misterios Eleusinianos de la diosa Demeter, la iniciación incluía un bautizo en agua de mar, significando esto el renacimiento, con un saludo a la ascensión de la Luna nueva después haber tenido lugar de tres noches de cielos oscuros.

El escritor romano Apuleius incluso relató que la diosa Afrodita Salacia era el útero de los peces pululando que llevaba al reencarnado dios Sol Palaemon, así como Empedocles conjuró el agua como para manifestar las lágrimas de la diosa Persophone. En India, fue Vritas y Danu, o en Persia, se convirtió en la diosa Anahita, que gobernó las aguas.

En Babilonia fue el cuento Solar de la diosa-pez Derceto/Atargatis con el dios Oannes/Joannes, también incluyendo a Nammu y Tiamat. En el cuento Bíblico, como Jesús, nacido de María, de donde viene Marino, o donde viene el agua se le envió a través de Oannes/Jonah, quien alegóricamente hizo la misma hazaña dentro del Útero/Tumba del Mamífero marino más grande del mundo.

Yahweh concluyó igualmente en el Antiguo Testamento, subyugando a la Serpiente marina Leviatán ( “Ballena" en hebreo). La sediciosa evolución del historiador natural, Charles Darwin también dio énfasis a esta creencia implicando que el útero gestante del acuoso gestando era igualmente interdependiente de los ritmos lunares de las mareas, vinculando nuestra herencia y orígenes al mar.

"porque, cuando Jonás estaba en la barriga del pez tres días y tres noches, así el Hijo de Hombre estará en el corazón de la tierra tres días y tres noches".

Como acompañado por la historia del pez de Jesús, ayudando milagrosamente a sus discípulos a hacer una captura de 153 peces, este mismo hecho también es extrañamente logrado por Pitágoras quinientos años más temprano en una antigua leyenda registrada por el neo-platonista Porfirio. El propio Pitágoras prediciendo el número exacto de peces a ser cogidos, con el número 153 siendo un número sagrado Pitagórico, asociado con el "Vesica Piscis" o "Envase del Pez ".

Cuando la circunferencia de un círculo toca el centro del otro, ambos se combinan para producir el pez, o la proporción de altura a la longitud de esta forma, que es 153:265, una fórmula conocida a Arquímedes y era una muy potente herramienta matemática, siendo la aproximación más cercana al número entero del triángulo equilátero. Los eclesiásticos más tarde tuvieron que formular una narrativa para explicar por que estaban usando tal simbolismo, y por el siglo IX, el ideograma del pez había sido parcialmente todo menos abandonado, dadas sus conexiones paganas con Icthys y Júpiter.

Incluso en griego, el nombre para Jesús, siendo Iesous, es muy similar al nombre del mismo Zeus/Jupiter. Cuando Acharya S describió a Zeus, aka "Zeus Pateras", de quien nosotros ahora automáticamente creemos que es un mito y no una figura histórica, toma su nombre de la versión india, "Dyaus Pitar". Dyaus Pitar, a su vez, se relaciona a su vez al "Ptah egipcio", y de Pitar y Ptah viene el palabra "pater”, o "padre". Zeus, es igual que "Dyaus", que se convirtió en "Deos" “Deus" y "Dios".

"Zeus Pateras", como Dyaus Pitar, significa, "Dios el Padre", un concepto muy antiguo que de ninguna manera se originó con "Jesús" y la Cristiandad. En el Hinduismo (una de las religiones vivientes más antiguas) Krishna/Cristona también fue llamado "Khrist-os" siglos antes de que algún carácter judía fuera llamado de forma similar.

From: BARILOCHENSE6999 Sent: 14/08/2012 12:06   A Heavenly Annuniciation?   I recently received an email asking if I thought the recent conjunction between Venus and Jupiter, together with the crescent Moon and the Pleiades (perhaps better known as the "seven sisters") on the feast of the Annunciation on 25th March held any significance. I remember reading an interesting blog article on this subject which Spirit Daily linked to around the time of this event, but hadn't really given it much thought until I was asked about it (hence the lateness of this post in relation to event in question). The full article can be found on Daniel O'Connor's blog here, and I'll quote some of the relevant content below: On March 25, 2012, millions of Christians (Catholic and Orthodox) will celebrate the “Annunciation” – which commemorates the conception of Jesus. This March 25, there will be a neat astronomical arrangement in the sky, that seems to mesh nicely. See the description below:   The sky will be spectacular in the west after sunset on March 25, 2012, with the waxing crescent moon and the planet Jupiter very close to each other in the evening twilight sky. Plus Venus is nearby – the sky’s brightest planet. You’ll see Jupiter and the moon below Venus in the west after sunset. The famous Pleiades star cluster is above Venus. In this configuration, the Morning Star appears with the moon at her feet. The Pleiades (from “peleiades” the Greek word for doves) overshadows the Morning Star. Jupiter, the “King Planet” approaches the configuration. The symbolism is striking. This is a interesting arrangement for the mystery of the Annunciation which heralds Christ’s coming through Mary. We should first note that while the practise of astrology (attempting to discern future events through an elaborate system of occult interpretation) is condemned by the Church, the Bible clearly teaches that important events are often heralded by symbolic astronomical and geophysical phenomena. For example the birth of Christ was accompanied by the appearance of the Star of Bethlehem. And during his eschatological discourse on Mount Olivet, Jesus explicitly states that great signs would appear in the heavens before His Second Coming: There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.(Luke 21:11)  “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”(Luke 21:25-28) This is followed by Peter's eschatological sermon during the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost: And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.(Acts 2:19-20) The Book of Revelation also foretold that the unbinding of Satan's chains "for a little while" (which I argue corresponds to the "100" years given to Satan in the Prophecy of Pope Leo XIII) would be signified by a star fallen to earth: Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.  (Rev 20:1-3) And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth... (Rev 9:1-3) (See the earlier post Tunguska, Pope Leo XIII, and the Opening of the Abyss, where I equate this "fallen star" to the Tunguska event of 1908) And the sounding of the third trumpet in Rev 8 was predicted to be accompanied by the sign of a great star falling from heaven "blazing like a torch" (which I equate with the last appearance of Halley's Comet and its timing in relation to the Chernobyl disaster in the post Chernobyl, Wormwood, and the Hrushiv Apparitions). Perhaps most importantly, the opening of the sixth seal in the Book of Revelation was foretold to be accompanied by a combination of an earthquake, a total solar eclipse, a total lunar eclipse and a major meteor shower (which in the post Signs in the Sky, I point out all occurred at the turn of the millennium centred on modern Turkey - the location of Pergamum in Asia Minor, which the Apocalypse identifies as "the throne of Satan" in Rev 2:13). As I argue in Unveiling the Apocalypse, the eschatological astronomical phenomena described at the opening of the sixth seal in Rev 6, is once again recapitulated in Rev 12. The Woman Adorned with the Sun with the Moon at her feet represents a total solar eclipse - which corresponds to the Sun turning "black as sackcloth" in Rev 6:12. The Moon at the Woman's feet represents the Dragon intent on devouring her Child, and the red colour of the Dragon represents the reddish hue typical of a total lunar eclipse, which in turn corresponds to the Moon becoming blood-red at the opening of the sixth seal. And the Dragon sweeping a third of the stars from the sky in Rev 12:4, directly refers to the stars falling from the sky in Rev 6:13 (which is also recapitulated again at the sounding of the fourth trumpet in Rev 8:12, when a third of the Sun, Moon and stars are struck). The twelve stars around the Woman's head are traditionally associated with the Twelve Apostles; but they also represent the twelve tribes of Israel, as is shown by the allusion of this verse to Joseph's dream in Gen 37: Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”(Gen 37:9) The eleven stars symbolise the sons of Jacob who make up the tribes of Israel, with the tribe of Joseph being divided between his two sons - Mannaseh and Ephraim, bringing the number up to twelve. So the twelve stars around the Woman's head in Rev 12 is a further allusion to the opening of the sixth seal, which includes the sealing of the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel in Rev 7. The manifold similarities between the opening of the sixth seal in Rev 6 and the sealing of the saints in Rev 7, held in juxtaposition with the unfolding of the Divine Drama of Rev 12 and marking of the inhabitants of the earth with the mark of the Beast in Rev 13, further confirms that the bestowing of the saints with the Seal of God is an antithetical parallelism to those who are marked with the number of the Beast. Chapters 6 and 7 of the Apocalypse are therefore directly connected with chapters 12-13, and forms a theological diptych which deliberately contrasts these portions of the Book of Revelation. Since they both describe the same events, the astronomical signs at the opening of the sixth seal thus herald the eschatological casting of Satan to earth described in Rev 12 (which must be distinguished from his primordial fall from grace), and the subsequent rise of the Beast from the sea to mark the inhabitants of the earth in Rev 13 should be considered to be a direct inversion of the sealing of the saints in Rev 7 - events which logically would coincide at the same moment in real-time. Now that we have determined that astrology should be clearly distinguished from the Bible's admonition to regard certain astronomical signs as portentous of contemporary and future world events, we can safely discuss whether the particular planetary conjunction on the 25th March may be imbued with any religious significance. Since it took place on the feast of the Annunciation, it would follow that any particular event this may signify would only be revealed nine months later - the gestation period of an unborn child. So we could safely assert that we would know exactly if it does indeed herald any future event during the Christmas period - close to the rather ominous date of 21st December 2012. We will only know that it was truly a sign if anything of historical or religious importance occurs around this time period. As exactly to what event it could herald can only be guessed at. We can be almost certain that it is not the Second Coming of Christ, since the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that this pivotal moment in salvation history is delayed until the future conversion of the Jews - an event which is synonymous with the Second Pentecost and the preaching of the Gospel to the ends of the earth: "The glorious Messiah's coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by "all Israel", for "a hardening has come upon part of Israel" in their "unbelief" toward Jesus. St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old." St. Paul echoes him: "For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?" The "full inclusion" of the Jews in the Messiah's salvation, in the wake of "the full number of the Gentiles", will enable the People of God to achieve "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ", in which "God may be all in all". (CCC 674 See full text here) We have clearly not reached the stage of the conversion of the Jews at the Second Pentecost just yet, but there are other prophesied events that it may concern. The promised religious revival to take place at the Second Pentecost is almost certainly the next major prophesied event that is to take place - at least according to any provisional schedule which may be determined from analysing the eschatological events foretold in Scripture. So could it herald the coming of the Second Pentecost itself? This event seems to be intimately related to the prophecies of the ministry of the Two Witnesses and the martyrdom of a future pontiff. And in turn these events also appear to be connected to the "great sign" promised in various prophecies, including those of St. Fautina and Our Lady of Akita. Therefore any of these events are the most likely prophetic occurrences yet to unfold at the highly significant schedule relating to the date of 21st December 2012. Yet foremostly it has to be admitted that the most likely explanation is that this particular date bears no significance at all to the date of the end-time (especially not to Christianity), and that like every other prophesied date purporting to pinpoint the end of the world, it will come to nought. We can only be left guessing until nearer the time. Either way, it is extremely unwise to tie ourselves to an exact date - especially when we know that the coming of the Lord will be as a "thief in the night" (Rev 16:15), and that we should always be prepared for the arrival of the Groom. Attempting to to preempt this crescendo of salvation history through the process of logic is all but impossible. We can only conclude with the same prayer as the apostle himself and subject ourselves to the immanent glory of Christ  - Maranatha! "Come, Lord Jesus!"
