La idea de un templo fijo surgió hacia el año 1000 a. C., a raíz del traslado de la capital de Hebrón a Jerusalén, cuando David conquistó la fortaleza jebusea; allí David construyó su palacio y un tabernáculo para la instalación del Arca de tal manera que la "ciudad de David" pudiera transformarse en el centro religioso de Palestina.
Correspondió a Salomón realizar el verdadero templo, cuando amplió la capital. Las medidas y su esplendor están descritas en la Biblia y por ello sabemos que su planta se adaptaba a la "casa larga" mesopotámica o templo con vestíbulo, la nave (habitación larga) y el adytum (cámara cuadrada). Estaba orientado en la dirección este-oeste, con un patio para el altar de los holocaustos, frente a la puerta del templo, adornada con dos columnas de bronce que medían 12 codos de alto por 4 de diámetro. La nave constaba de dos espacios: el lugar sagrado o hekal, y un santuario o debir , lugar sagrado por excelencia. En el patio se situaba el altar de los holocaustos a manera de zigurat de tres pisos, a los que se accedía por una escalera; además estaba el Mar de Bronce, pila gigantesca metálica de 10 codos de diámetro y 5 codos de profundidad, que se apoyaba en doce bueyes, dispuestos en cuatro grupos de tres, colocados en la dirección de los puntos cardinales.
Se dice que el templo fue construido según el modelo de la tienda santa, antes descrita, y que sus medidas, sin los edificios anexos, parecen haber sido el doble que aquella. Hasta el presente no han sido posibles las excavaciones en el Templo de la Roca o Mezquita de Omar, donde estuvo el Templo de Salomón; la "roca sagrada" de la mezquita actual fue la del templo salomónico, y no se sabe con seguridad si sobre ella estuvo el arca o el altar de los sacrificios. Otros elementos de la forma de este templo hebreo vienen de la arquitectura KIfenicia, porque Salomón encomendó al arquitecto Hiram de Tiro su construcción. En cuanto a las dos columnas de la fachada, su origen puede rastrearse ya en santuarios neolíticos; respecto a sus nombres de Jakim y Boaz señala Mertens como probable que deriven de inscripciones que debieron tener y que empezaban por estas palabras: "Que él erija (Jakim) esta casa" y "con poder (Boaz) expulse de estas puertas a todos sus enemigos".
Fue grande el esfuerzo realizado por Salomón en esta construcción religiosa, y como en el pueblo de Israel no había tradición artística, aceptó las formas de otros pueblos con el único fin de dar esplendor al culto. No faltaron las consideraciones políticas pues tal templo era "capilla real" del palacio, en la que debían de converger los sectores de Israel y de Judá, que constituían el reino.
El observador se situaba en el centro del lugar sagrado, de cara al Este, es decir de cara al sol naciente (...) Seguía los desplazamientos progresivos de las salidas del sol en el horizonte, entre los dos límites extremos alcanzados por los solsticios de Verano e Invierno. Se señalaban esos dos puntos esenciales con dos postes, dos menhires en algunas alineaciones prehistóricas de Bretaña o de Inglaterra, o con dos columnas si se trataba de templos más elaborados".13Las columnas Jakin y Boaz14 no eran entonces simples elementos decorativos, sino que con ellas se establecía un enmarque espacio-temporal indicado por las distintas posiciones del astro solar, posiciones que determinan el esquema simbólico universal de la cruz cuaternaria, pues al señalarse los solsticios de Invierno y de Verano (correspondientes al eje Norte-Sur) se obtenía también la situación de los equinoccios de Primavera y Otoño (correspondientes a su vez al eje Este-Oeste).15

La Fiesta de las Naciones
Otro nombre que se le da a la Fiesta de Sukkot (Tabernáculos) es la Fiesta de las Naciones. Sukkot (Tabernáculos) va a ser celebrada por todas las naciones de la tierra durante la era Mesiánica, el Milenio (Zacarías 14:16-18). La celebración de Sukkot por parte de las naciones en el futuro está íntimamente relacionado con el papel y la misión que tiene Israel. El plan de Di-s para el pueblo judío data desde el pacto que El hizo con Abraham (Avraham). En este pacto, Dios prometió que, como está escrito en Génesis (Bereishit) 12:3: "...serán benditas en ti todas las familias de la tierra". De Abraham (Avraham), Di-s levantaría un pueblo, Israel, para llevar bendición a las naciones. Esa promesa fue cumplida en Yeshua, el Mesías, como está escrito en Gálatas 3:8,14,16,29. De hecho, la mejor obra evangelística de la historia del mundo será llevada a cabo por los 144,000 judíos ungidos quienes proclamarán el evangelio (basar) del Reino de los Cielos en YeshuaHaMashiach (Apocalipsis 14:1-7).
Israel fue escogida por Di-s para ser la luz del mundo (Deuteronomio [Devarim> 7:6-8). Di-s dio a Israel la misión de servirle. La razón es muy simple. Di-s quería escoger a un pueblo entre las naciones a través del cual pudiera obrar de tal forma que mostrara Su gloria al mundo. Por esta razón El eligió a Israel y esta es la misión que debe tener todo creyente en el Mesías. Al hacerlo, Di-s puede revelar Su plan de redención a todo el mundo, para que todo el mundo pueda ver que Di-s y Su Mesías Yeshua son luz (Juan 1:1-4; 1 Juan 1:5). Israel fue elegido para ser testigo (luz) al mundo. Esto puede verse en las siguientes Escrituras: Isaías (Yeshayahu) 43:1,10,12,14; Lucas 24:44-49; y Hechos 1:1-8. La misión de Israel es proclamar al mundo que el Di-s de Israel es el único verdadero Di-s y que nadie más nos puede salvar (Hechos 4:10,12).
Israel, como nación, falló en su misión de ser testigo al mundo. No sólo el pueblo desobedeció los mandamientos de Di-s, sino que tampoco llevaron la luz al mundo. Al contrario, el mundo, en general, ha llegado al colmo de odiar al pueblo judío.
Pero en lo individual, aquellos que creyeron y siguieron a Di-s, los judíos fueron fieles a su cometido. Sólo debemos ver la fe de Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moisés, los profetas y los reyes, tales como David y Salomón. De hecho, si estudiamos la Biblia, veremos que ésta fue escrita por judíos fieles siervos de Di-s, guiados por el Espíritu Santo (Ruach HaKodesh). Sobre todo, la luz más brillante y el mayor testimonio que el mundo jamás recibió era judío. Su nombre es Yeshua, el Mesías. Ya que Israel dio luz al Mesías, ellos, en esencia, han servido de bendición para todas las naciones, a través de El (Génesis [Bereishit> 12:3; Gálatas 3:8,14,16,29).
Aunque Israel falló como nación en su misión, este error no es permanente. Es un lapsus temporal de su destino de llegar a ser bendición para todas las naciones, lo cual llegará a realizarse en el reinado de mil años del Mesías, conocido como el Reino Mesiánico o Era Mesiánica. I’ve discovered amazing synchronistic connections between the former World Trade Center towers in NYC, an ancient temple on Malta, and Lake Nasser in Upper Egypt.
I drew a line from the former location of the Great Spherical Caryatid (known as The Sphere) in between the WTC North and South Towers (destroyed on 9/11) to a point in Lake Nasser just south of the Aswan High Dam such that the line passes directly over the Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni on Malta.

The Great Spherical Caryatid between the Twin Towers reminds me of Pomodoro’s series of Sphere within Sphere sculptures I mention many times in my video series. This Sphere represents the Earth (with 52 bronze panels representing weeks, rotating once every 24 hours) or bottom sephiroth in the kabbalistic Tree of Life.
The [Sphere] artwork was meant to symbolize world peace through world trade, and was placed at the center of a ring of fountains and other decorative touches designed by trade center architect Minoru Yamasaki to mimic the Grand Mosque of Mecca, Masjid al-Haram, in which The Sphere stood at the place of the Kaaba. -Source

It is a great irony that the official story of 9/11 is of Islamic terrorists who destroyed what the architect who designed the WTC saw as an exquisite monument to Islam.
Bobzimmerfan’s above video reveals that the term caryatid in the “Great Spherical Caryatid” means “replacement pillar”. Imagine an invisible pillar between the Two Towers.
If the twin towers represent Boaz and Jachin, severity and mildness, strength and beauty then the High Priestess Tarot card shows how the third pillar is the human body. The pomegranates are arranged in the Tree of Life pattern. The moon goddess Isis/Mary is holding the Torah.

World Trade Center
An architect friend David Shipway had a hunch that the original Twin Towers might match the proportions of the columns of Boaz and Jachin (as described in the Bible) that were part of Solomon’s temple and a part of every Freemasonic lodge in the world. I made a model in SketchUp and verified this is indeed the case. The Twin Towers are overlaid as rectangles, drawn with real-world proportions:
Recall that Towers 1 and 2 had 110 stories each. If you include the roof level, the North and South towers had 111 floors.

Hypogeum of Hal-Saflieni
This 5600 year old underground temple consists of halls, chambers and passages hewn out of the living rock. The site was discovered accidentally by a stone mason in 1902.
The Hypogeum was depicted on a 2 cents 5 mils stamp issued in the Maltese Islands in 1980 to commemorate the acceptance by UNESCO of this unique structure in the World Heritage Site list.
I was reading an article about the Hypogeum at Viewzone.com that really resonated with me:
Science Officer at the Hypogeum, Joseph Farrugia describes unusual sound effects in the UNESCO World Heritage Site: “There is a small niche in what we call ‘The Oracle Chamber’, and if someone with a deep voice speaks inside, the voice echoes all over the hypogeum. The resonance in the ancient temple is something exceptional. You can hear the voice rumbling all over.”
Linda Eneix, President of The Old Temples Study Foundation Foundation, dedicated to archaeology research and education related to the ancient temples of Mediterranean Malta says, “Standing in the Hypogeum is like being inside a giant bell…you feel the sound in your bones as much as you hear it with your ears. It’s really thrilling!” -Source
OK that may be interesting, but so what? Here are the facts that floored me:
“Stone rooms in ancient temples in Malta were found to match the same pattern of resonance, registering at the frequency of 110 or 111 hz. This turns out to be a significant level for the human brain. Whether it was deliberate or not, the people who spent time in such an environment were exposing themselves to vibrations that impacted their minds.
Findings indicated that at 110 hz the patterns of activity over the prefrontal cortex abruptly shifted, resulting in a relative deactivation of the language center and a temporary switching from left to right-sided dominance related to emotional processing. People regularly exposed to resonant sound in the frequency of 110 or 111 hz would have been “turning on” an area of the brain that bio-behavioral scientists believe relates to mood, empathy and social behavior.” -Source
So the 110-111 hz signal helps us to integrate the two halves of the brain into a state of balanced consciousness.
To get a better sense of this I used a sound generator to create the following track which plays two sawtooth signals at 110 hz and 111 hz. It’s nothing like the resonance one must experience in the Hypogeum but it’s as close as I can get without traveling to Malta.
The same article on Viewzone goes on to describe how omphalos stones were discovered deep in ancient Maltese temples. This rang a few more bells in my head and ties in perfectly with my post on Omphale.

It’s amazing how so much of what I’m tuning into is interconnected. I am led forward by “coincidence” if you believe there truly is such a thing. As for me, I’m not so sure.
The Healing Voice
Two nights ago I just went to another opening evening at Hollyhock, this time with Jill Purce (whose husband is the very interesting Rupert Sheldrake best known for his theories of morphic resonance). Jill gave a fascinating and brilliant talk about sound. She says we have lost our voices in modern times. People in the past more or less were continually singing when they worked. The song did the work. She posed the question of if we are to sing what song will it be? She concluded that one note is all that is needed. You can’t be out of tune if you are only singing one note.
After she concluded the talking portion of the evening she gave a mind-blowing demonstration of this one note in the form of overtone chanting.
Overtone chanting makes audible the natural harmonic spectrum of the voice in its pure rainbow colours, so that unearthly, angelic and bell-like tones are heard floating above the deep voices of the chanters.
It is a form of chanting on one note where the partials – constituent parts (overtones or harmonics) are selectively amplified by changing the shape of the resonant cavities of the mouth, larynx and pharynx. These notes are always present in any note, but while they colour the note and give it its quality they are usually inaudible. -Source
This one note contains an abundance of overtones like white light which contains a rainbow of colours. I wonder if this one note doesn’t hover around 110-111 hz? It seems to me that this must be the one note that was sung in the Hypogeum and probably at many ancient temples around the world.
This one note reminds me of Aum, the great omnific word behind all creation:
Aum is pronounced in three sounds – A (aaa) , U (ooooo) and M (mmmmm) and signifies Right (A) and Left (U) Sympathetic Nervous Systems (SNS) and (M) Parasympathetic Nervous System. Right SNS (controlled by Left part of brain) looks after the actional aspect where as the left SNS [controlled by the Right part of the brian] looks after the emotional aspect of human beings. -Source
Lake Nasser
Lake Nasser was created with the completion of the Aswan High Dam which I’ve mentioned in several previous posts. I did a fair bit of research but wasn’t able to locate the precise GPS coordinates of the original sites of the Temples of Dendur, Debod, Taffeh, and Ellesyia which nonetheless are in today’s Lake Nasser. UNESCO spearheaded the rescue of the Nubian monuments from Philae to Abu Simbel in the 1960’s. These temples were moved to New York, Madrid, Leiden, and Turin. By the way, I discovered the Temples of Debod, Taffeh, and Ellesyia align with the wind rose markers surrounding the Vatican obelisk in St. Peter’s Square.
The point at the end of the line is north of Abu Simbel and south of Aswan and Philae, right where these four ancient Isis temples were originally located. Perhaps the circle is a bullseye on one of the temples?

As I mentioned in my Snowflake and the Flower post, the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth UK is 555 feet high but its roof is 110 meters high.

One Times Square, also known as the Crossroads of the World at 42nd and Broadway, is 111 meters in height. This is the location of the 77 foot Time Ball Drop mega-ritual that has been happening there on New Year’s Eve since 1907.

From the base, 109 steel rods, one for each of the victims remembered by this memorial, extend like spokes of a wheel which then intertwine. A 110th rod was crafted for the memorial as well, but that rod was cut apart so that each portion could be presented to an individual who helped make this memorial possible. -Source

The Future: Hermitage Plaza in Paris
Hermitage Plaza is a project of two towers to be built on the newly named Place Napoleon Bonaparte (who was responsible for amazing secret architecture, see my Paris episodes) commencing construction this year. The tallest of the two towers will be one meter shorter than the Eiffel Tower at 323 m, making this project the tallest in the European Union when it will be completed in 2016. The twin Hermitage Plaza towers will eventually eclipse the Shard (which is currently under construction in London) as the tallest building in the EU.
The name “Hermitage Plaza” reminds me of The Hermit tarot card. The Hermit is of course another light bringer.
Hermitage Plaza was designed by Foster + Partners and revealed by Sir Norman Foster himself on 3/11/09, exactly two years before the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Thelema
The number 93 is of great significance in Thelema, a religious philosophy founded by English author and occultist Aleister Crowley with the writing of The Book of the Law. The word thelema equates to 93 using Greek isopsephy, which is like gematria in Hebrew.

The philosophy of Thelema is expressed in these 11 words:

It is common for Thelemites to greet each other with “93” in person as well as in the opening and closing of written correspondence. This custom derives from Aleister Crowley’s guideline that Thelemites should greet each other with the Law of Thelema by saying “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” Since saying the entire Law can be cumbersome, using 93 has become a kind of shorthand.

There are 121 (11×11) documented bronze medallions in a line across Paris marking the Paris prime meridian which was used in France for 200 years before Greenwich UK became the world’s prime meridian. The metric system was defined using the Paris prime meridian. Arago was a French astronomer.

The movie builds to a rendezvous with a UFO. Personally I think the movie sucks except for the cleverly encoded symbolism. Here is an image from the end of the movie:

In ten-pin bowling, there are only 10 frames. Grace says there is one more chance making an eleventh frame, and John Person proceeds to bowl one last time. The bowling ball rolls down the alley and then it cuts to a bowling ball rolling across the desert. Very intriguing. By the way ten pin bowling has the pins arranged in the Pythagorean tetractys, the most sacred diagram in the Pythagoreans secret worship of number. Many sports encode secrets in plain sight. Statue of Liberty
The height of the Statue of Liberty is 111′-1″ from bottom of foot to top of head. The 7 rays on the crown and the 11 points of the base star echo the proportions of the Great Pyramid’s 7:11 height to base proportion. The superb book Talisman by Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval convincingly shows this goddess is actually the Egyptian Isis.

The Great Pyramid
According to Richard Heath’s metrology in Sacred Number (well worth reading by the way) the Great Pyramid (GP) measures 480 English feet to the top of the “unfinished pyramid” which happens to be precisely 1/11th of a mile.
The pyramidion measured 1-1/11 feet in height. Herodotus tells us it was made of electrum and brilliantly reflected light (electrum is an alloy of gold and silver). The valuable pyramidion is long gone of course.
Earth Measure
One degree of longitude measures 111,111 meters at the equator. The mean degree of latitude is 111,111m.

There is a frieze on the building exterior representing a gigantic tug of war between good and evil forces where they are pulling on the Sun. The interior strangely contains gravel and soil from each of the 58 counties in California, suggesting some kind of sympathetic magic at work.
111 Cannon Street is the address of the London Stone at the base of the street pyramid in the City of London. This is the stone the Romans laid as the omphalos stone, the point from which all distances were measured in Britainnia.
The London Stone is recognized as the symbolic authority and heart of the City of London. It was the place where deals were forged and oaths were sworn. It was also the point from which official proclamations were made.

Remembrance Day
The major hostilities of World War I were formally ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the armistice. As a result Remembrance Day is observed on 11/11 at 11 AM in commonwealth countries.
The Shrine of Remembrance was built in Melbourne Australia in 1934 to help people remember Remembrance Day. One third of the population of the time came out on opening day. The building features an Egyptian style truncated pyramid on top.
The core of the building houses the Stone of Remembrance. This is a marble stone sunk below the pavement, so that visitors must bow their heads to read the inscription on it:
GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN
The Stone is aligned with an aperture in the roof so that a ray of sunlight falls on the word LOVE on the Stone of Remembrance at exactly at 11 AM on the 11th day of the 11th month. The beam of light hitting the word LOVE is an appropriate touch for anyone who loves the light.
Cenotaphs
Cenotaph means empty tomb. A cenotaph marks the remains of a person or group of people whose remains remain elsewhere. This cenotaph in London says “The Glorious Dead” to honor those soldiers who died in WWI. Red wreaths or red poppies are left at these geomantic markers representing the blood split in war. Very morbid to glorify death and blood when you think about it. How about celebrating these young men’s lives rather than their spilled blood? Here is the cenotaph in London but they are all over the world in commonwealth countries.

London Alignment
Here’s an intriguing alignment I discovered in London. A straight line connects the Victoria memorial in front of Buckingham Palace with the aforementioned Remembrance Day cenotaph, goes through the highly symbolic 444′ high, 32 car London Eye and continues to The Shard whose address is 32 London Bridge. 32 is of course an important Masonic number in the Scottish rite.
111,000 Square Meters
The Shard at 32 London Bridge will be the tallest building in the EU for a few years before it is eclipsed by Hermitage Plaza in Paris. Architect Renzo Piano’s structure is currently under construction and has 72 habitable floors comprising a floor area of 111,000 m2
In the Kabbalah the number 72 is called the Shemhamphorasch referring to the number of names of God.
The IM Pei (of Louvre Pyramid fame) designed Fountain Place and the SOM designed Trammel Crow Center (with pyramid on roof) both on Ross Avenue (rose or rosicrucian symbol) in Dallas Texas have exactly the same symbolic floor area of 111,000 m2

El interés por el conocimiento de la forma o la estructura del templo de Jerusalen es, en realidad, el interés por el conocimiento hermético de Salomón que personifica la sabiduría de la Tradición de todas las edades. De acuerdo con el Talmud recopilación de la tradición oral judía y base de la religión judía ,Salomón era experto en Magias. También tenía profundos conocimientos de Teurgia y Goecia y era capaz de controlar sus propios demonios internos, obteniendo de ellos buena parte de su sabiduría. El papa Inocencio III reconoce la posibilidad de que se tratara de un mago en el más amplio sentido de la palabra. Hipótesis que basa en las afirmaciones del historiador judío Flavio Josefo, quien hizo especial mención a los trabajos mágicos y dotes sobrenaturales de este rey. Todo lo cual se encuentra asimismo reflejado en muchas tradiciones orientales que subrayan, entre otras muchas, las facultades mágicas de Salomón, como se indica frecuentemente, por ejemplo, le hermetique kabahala. Pero este misterios monarca encierra aún más sorpresas. Así por ejemplo, los alquimistas medievales estaban convencidos de que conocía los secretos de Hermes Trismegisto y que, gracias a ellos, llegó no sólo a multiplicar los metales, sino también a fabricar la piedra filosofal. Y se dice también que Salomón sabía cómo controlar la "esencia od incorpórea del espíritu universal", conocimiento que lo habría asistido en la construcción del Templo. Por otro lado, y de acuerdo con los antiguos rabinos, Salomón habría sido, paralelamente, un iniciado de las escuelas mistéricas, siendo su templo un lugar de iniciación que. Tanto las gradas como los pilares situados a ambos lados del pórtico, los querubines babilónicos y todo el arreglo de las alcobas indican, de hecho, que el templo habría sido erigido de acuerdo a patrones tomados de Egipto. Michel Lamy nos recuerda en La otra historia de los templarios que Salomón hizo también erigir unos santuarios para unas "divinidades extranjeras". Consagró en particular unos templos a Astarté, "la abominación de los sidonios" y a Milkom, "el horror de los amonitas". Según el canon místico, siempre han existido sobre la Tierra una serie de hombres santos que han accedido al trato íntimo con la seidad. De ellos, el que alcanza la posición más alta entre sus contemporáneos es el enclave de su época, siendo los demás intermediarios. El enclave es un individuo misterioso que, desconocido y nada conspicuo, se mezcla con la humanidad. Como un dinamo extraño alrededor del cual todo converge, en él se encarna el significado y el espíritu de una edad hasta nuestros días. ¿Pudo ser Salomón el enclave del judaísmo kabalistico ? En el seno de la primera monarquía terrestre se elevó el primer templo a Dios. La Biblia recoge claramente las tradiciones según las cuales fue el propio Gran Arquitecto del Universo -al que identificaban como Dios- quien, en última instancia, ordenaba cuándo, quién y cómo se había de construir el Templo. Para esta misión, de entre todos los hijos de David Dios elegiría a Salomón: Y así fue. Cuando Salomón quiso alzar el templo, pidió ayuda al rey de Tiro, Hiram, ya que tal edificación requería un arquitecto experimentado en las técnicas y conocedor de la doctrina secreta de los números y de las formas. De ahí que el monarca enviara a Hiram-Abiff el fundidor, para que se hiciera cargo de la sagrada obra. Pero como en todas los hechos acaecidos en épocas remotas, en los que no se sabe muy bien donde termina la historia y donde comienza la leyenda, las circunstancias iniciales no están nada claras. Michel Lamy, en su obra La otra historia de los templarios nos dice que "fue sin duda edificado hacia el año 960 a.C., al menos en su forma primitiva. Salomón, que deseaba construir un templo para mayor gloria de Dios, había establecido unos acuerdos con el rey fenicio, que se había comprometido a proporcionarle madera (de cedro y de ciprés). Éste le enviaría también trabajadores especializados: canteros y carpinteros reclutados en Guebal, donde los propios egipcios tenían por costumbre reclutar a su mano de obra cualificada. El templo se elevó en el monte Moriah y su construcción tardó siete años. Fue uno de los edificios más sagrados que jamás hayan existido en la Tierra. La geometría secreta con la que fue erigido por Hiram había sido heredada por el propio arquitecto, cuyo probable origen es develado por Heckethorne en su libro Las sociedades secretas de todos los tiempos y países. Según Heckethorne, Hiram habría sido descendiente directo de la línea de Caín, lo cual podría explicar la creencia de que el templo había sido realizado por demonios -o elementales- sobre los que tanto Hiram como el propio Salomón ejercían cierto control. Pero ocurrió que la Reina de Saba se enamoró de Hiram, el arquitecto del templo, éste cayó en desgracia ante los ojos del rey y, finalmente, murió asesinado. Esto no quiere decir que el rey tenga algo que ver con tal asesinato. Sin embargo, antes de morir dijo Hiram que tendría muchos descendientes que completarían su trabajo, es decir, que construirían otros templos humanos. Y, en este sentido, son muchos los estudiosos que están convencidos de que esos descendientes fueron los templarios, ya que ellos mismos se consideraban los arquitectos y custodios de la "ciencia más secreta". De cualquier forma es esta una cuestión muy confusa también, pues dice Michel Lamy al respecto: "El arquitecto Hiram, según la leyenda, murió a manos de unos compañeros celosos a quienes había negado la divulgación de determinados secretos. Como consecuencia de la desaparición de Hiram, Salomón envió a nueve maestros en su busca. Nueve maestros, como los nueve primeros templarios, en busca del arquitecto de los secretos". En aquella época se creía que el Templo de Jerusalén unía el Cielo y la Tierra y que los ritos que allí se desarrollaban reforzaban está asociación; por tanto, cualquier desviación en el servicio del templo podía tener consecuencias catastróficas. El Templo de Salomón, construido en el siglo X a.C., se convirtió así en algo esencial no sólo para la imaginería religiosa judía, sino también para el simbolismo cristiano en siglos venideros. En el 587-586 a.C. fue arrasado hasta los cimientos por Nabucodonosor. Restaurado alrededor del 500 a.C. por Zorobabel, fue nuevamente destruido, para ser reconstruido una vez más por Herodes "El Grande", no mucho antes del nacimiento de Jesús. El tercer templo fue abatido finalmente por los romanos en el año 70 d.C., ocupando en la actualidad su antiguo lugar la mezquita de la Cúpula de la Roca, en la Explanada del Templo. Dice Michel Lamy sobre las reliquias que se custodiaban en el Templo: "Si bien la mayor parte de los objetos sagrados habían desaparecido en el momento de las diversas destrucciones, y principalmente durante el saqueo de Jerusalén por Tito, hubo uno que, aún habiéndose volatilizado, no parecía haber sido sacado de allí. Ahora bien, había sido para albergar dicho objeto por lo que Salomón hizo construir el Templo: el Arca de la Alianza que guardaba las Tablas de la Ley. Una tradición rabínica citada por Rabbí Mannaseh ben Israel (1604-1657) explica que Salomón habría hecho construir un escondrijo debajo del propio Templo, a fin de poner a buen recaudo el Arca en caso de peligro"... Y continúa explicando: "No parece que el Arca hubiera sido robada con ocasión de alguno de los diferentes saqueos o por lo menos, de ser cierto, fue recuperada, según los textos. Su desaparición por medio de un robo habría dejado numerosos rastros, tanto en los textos como en la tradición oral. Louis Charpentier nos recuerda a este respecto: "Cuando Nabucodonosor tomó Jerusalén, no se hace ninguna mención al Arca entre el botín. Hizo quemar el Templo en 587 a.C.". A Charpentier no le cabe ninguna duda acerca de ello: el Arca permaneció en su sitio, oculta bajo el Templo, y los templarios la descubrieron. Esta es una cuestión en la que entraremos en profundidad cuando tratemos los pormenores de la creación de la Orden del Templo. Según ha escrito Jonathan Smith, recordando antiguas creencias, "la Piedra de la Fundación, como en las construcciones mesopotámicas, es el centro exacto del Cosmos, el eje o polo, y fue sobre esta Piedra donde estuvo Yahvé cuando creó el mundo; de esta Piedra surgió por primera vez la Luz (se entiende que esta luz iluminaba el templo, que fue construido sobre la Piedra y cuyas ventanas estaban diseñadas para dejar salir la luz y no para permitir su entrada); de la superficie de esta Piedra se obtuvo, rascando, polvo para crear a Adán; bajo esta Piedra está enterrado Adán; en esta Piedra ofreció Adán el primer sacrificio; sobre esta Piedra Caín y Abel ofrecieron su fatal sacrificio; de esta Piedra vinieron las aguas del diluvio y bajo esta Piedra recedieron". Se creía, en efecto, que bajo la roca fluían las aguas subterráneas, fuerzas del caos que no cesaban de amenazar con engullir el mundo ordenado. La función del Templo era, supuestamente, mantener a raya a aquellas fuerzas. Han sido muchos los exégetas que han tratado de reconstruir teóricamente la estructura del Templo. Es el caso del franciscano normando Nicolás de Lyre o el filósofo François Vatable. Incluso el mismo Isaac Newton, subyugado por la magia de la visión de Ezequiel donde se apuntaban las medidas del Templo de Jerusalén, hizo alarde de erudición como teólogo, filósofo, físico y matemático exponiendo sus resultados en Solomon´s Temple. Su intención, dado el carácter simbólico del templo, era conocer su forma para averiguar su significado. Pero ni siquiera un gigante del pensamiento como él, artífice de la Física clásica y de la mecánica celeste, pudo descifrar el mensaje mistérico subyacente en esa misteriosa forma arquitectónica. Y es que la sabiduría que el rey Salomón plasmó en la construcción del Templo parece estar más allá de las mediciones y los cálculos matemáticos. Los que más se han acercado a esa fuente que inspiró a Salomón son los masones, cuyos rituales dejan entrever un conocimiento esotérico milenario comparable al que configuró el Templo. Como ilustración de esta herencia espiritual, tenemos los pilares de la masonería, las columnas J y B; columnas de sabiduría y rigor del cabalístico Árbol de la Vida-, que corresponden a los pilares del mismo nombre que sostenían al pórtico del Templo de Salomón y que Hiram-Abiff había hecho forjar en bronce. En su tiempo, Salomón fue la personificación de la sabiduría universal, siendo su Templo la "Casa de la Luz Eterna", nombre que algunos exégetas han querido ver en el propio rey: "Sol-om-on". De acuerdo con las enseñanzas mistéricas, hay tres templos de Salomón. El primero es la "Gran Casa del Universo", en medio de la cual se asienta el Sol, rodeado de sus compañeros artesanos: los doce signos del Zodíaco. Tres luces -la estelar, la solar y la lunar- iluminan este templo cósmico. Acompañado de sus planetas, lunas o asteroides, es Divino se pasea con pompa por las avenidas del espacio. Según esta interpretación, Hiram representaría la luz física activa del Sol, mientras que Salomón simbolizaría su refulgencia intelectual y espiritual, invisible pero todopoderosa. El segundo templo simbólico es la "Mansión" o "Catedral del Alma", una estructura invisible cuya comprensión corresponde única y exclusivamente a un arcano masónico supremo. El misterio de este edificio intangible está encerrado tras la alegoría del "Soma Psychon" o "traje de boda", como lo describió San Pablo, las "Vestiduras de Gloria" del gran sacerdote . Según esta última interpretación, el alma, creada a partir de una sustancia ígnea invisible, un metal áureo llameante, habría sido introducida por el maestro masón Hiram-Abiff en el molde de barro (el cuerpo físico), conformando el denominado "Mar Fundido". Así, el Templo del alma humana habría sido construido por tres maestros masones que personifican la sabiduría, el amor y el servicio, y sólo cuando esta operación se realiza de acuerdo con la Ley de la Vida, el espíritu de Dios mora en este lugar sagrado. El templo del alma así concebido es la verdadera "Casa Eterna" y sólo quien es capaz de erigirlo de esta manera está considerado como un verdadero maestro masón. En la película la acción comienza en el año 8.000 a. C., en una pequeña aldea situada en el desierto norteafricano. Es de noche y los habitantes de la aldea duermen... hasta que les despierta un ruido atronador causado por una nave alienígena que aterriza a pocos cientos de metros, emitiendo una luz cegadora. Todos huyen, a excepción de un joven que, para saciar su curiosidad, se acerca a la luz (al no saber lo que es) y, un destello cegador desciende sobre él...
En 1928 el equipo de arqueólogos del profesor Langford descubre en Guiza (Egipto) un extraño artefacto metálico con forma de anillo, cubierto por unas losas de protección con unas escritura. Mientras el profesor analiza las losas, su hija (Catherine) curiosea entre otros objetos descubiertos, y coge un colgante dorado que le llama la atención. Años más tarde, en 1994, el Dr. Jackson (James Spader), lingüista que daba una conferencia sobre la escritura egipcia, recibe la visita de Dra. Langford, que le propone una traducción de unas tablillas del Antiguo Egipto.
El Dr. Jackson se tiene que trasladar hasta unas instalaciones militares en la Montaña Creek, Colorado, donde le muestran unas enormes losas de protección. En una pizarra contigua existía una traducción de parte de los símbolos, que no duda en corregir. La traducción de los otros símbolos le lleva dos semanas, hasta que se da cuenta que no son símbolos sino constelaciones que señalan un punto en el Universo.
Cuando explica sus descubrimientos al General West y el resto de los militares, deciden enseñarle qué se encontraba debajo de las losas de protección. Gracias al Dr. Jackson, consiguen activar el Stargate y establecer un agujero de gusano con la otra punta del universo conocido.
Un grupo de militares encabezado por el Coronel O'Neil (Kurt Russell) y al que acompaña el Dr. Jackson, cruzan la puerta para explorar lo que se encuentren al otro lado.
Al cruzar la puerta, llegan a un mundo aparentemente desértico. El Stargate de aquel lado está dentro de un templo junto a una gran pirámide. Los militares acampan y el Dr. Jackson sale a explorar, encontrando por casualidad a una civilización de humanos prehistóricos que trabajan una mina. Algunos de los hombres de la expedición van a Nagada, la aldea de esta gente, y entablan amistad con ellos. Al Dr.Jackson le es ofrecida Sha'uri, la hija del jefe como esposa, quien le conduce a una gruta donde descubre la historia de ese mundo: hace miles de años, un alienígena moribundo llegó a la Tierra, tomó a un humano como anfitrión y utilizó su tecnología para autoproclamarse dios de aquellos primitivos humanos. Con el tiempo, hubo una revuelta en la Tierra, Ra huyó y el Stargate fue enterrado.
Mientras tanto, en el campamento base junto al Stargate, una nave con forma piramidal ha aterrizado, y los terrícolas han sido capturados por unos extraños seres con cabeza de animal. Cuando los demás regresan de la aldea y ven la nave, intentan averiguar que ocurre y son capturados también. O'Neil y Jackson son llevados ante quien parece estar al mando: el dios egipcio Ra.
O'Neil intenta matar a Ra y en la trifulca muere el Dr. Jackson, que será resucitado gracias a la tecnología alienígena. Para seguir vivo, Ra le insta a matar a sus compañeros capturados durante una ceremonia pública. Llegado el momento, entre el gentío que ha acudido, Jackson distingue a algunos de los jóvenes de Nagada, que portan armas de los soldados terrícolas. Comienza un tiroteo que aprovechan para escapar de allí y organizar un ataque contra el falso dios.
Ocultos como aldeanos en una caravana que lleva miernal como ofrenda a Ra, los soldados y algunos de los jóvenes, se dirigen hasta la nave palacio de Ra. En el camino, para no ser descubiertos, O'Neil mata a uno de los guardias de Ra. Al quitarle el casco con forma de animal, los aldeanos descubren que han sido esclavizados no por dioses sino por hombres como ellos, lo que les alienta a emprender la revuelta.
Una vez en la pirámide, los terrícolas empiezan a atacar a los guardias de Ra. Cuando se ven sitiados, aparecen todos los demás aldeanos armados con palos y piedras. Superando enormemente en número a los guardias, consiguen derrotarlos. Al ver esto, Ra activa la nave para huir. Antes de alejarse demasiado, consiguen teletransportar una bomba hasta la nave pirámide, que explota en el cielo para júbilo de todos los presentes.
Finalmente, todos los terrícolas que han sobrevivido regresan a la Tierra, salvo el Dr. Jackson, que prefiere quedarse con su ahora esposa Sha'uri.
Aunque Stargate marca el inicio de la saga Stargate, en realidad pretendía ser la primera de una trilogía de películas con un rumbo en la trama diferente al que seguiría la serie. Pero no se pudo llevar a cabo debido a otro proyecto que Devlin y Emmerich tenían entre manos otro proyecto (Independence Day).

Stargate is a 1994 American adventure-military science fiction film released through Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Carolco Pictures. Created by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich, the film is the first release in the Stargate franchise. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the film stars Kurt Russell, James Spader, Jaye Davidson, Carlos Lauchu, Djimon Hounsou, Erick Avari, Alexis Cruz, Mili Avital, John Diehl, French Stewart, and Viveca Lindfors. The plot centers around the premise of a “Stargate”, an ancient ring-shaped device that creates a wormhole enabling travel to a similar device elsewhere in the universe. The film’s central plot explores the theory of extraterrestrial beings having an influence upon human civilization.
PLOT SUMMARY
The film begins in 1928, where Professor Langford discovers a massive stone ring in the sands of Giza, Egypt. In the present day, Langford’s daughter Catherine offers Egyptologist Daniel Jackson, a down-on-his-luck linguistics professor, the chance to translate ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs that may prove his controversial theory regarding the Pyramid of Khufu. Jackson accepts and travels to a US Air Force installation inside Creek Mountain, Colorado. Jackson translates the hieroglyphs on the stone ring’s coverstones, which read: “A million years into the sky is Ra. Sealed and buried for all time, his Stargate.” Formerly retired Special Forces Colonel Jack O’Neil arrives to take command of the project and declares it classified.
Jackson deduces that the symbols are star constellations that are coordinates for a location within space. The sequence is entered into the stargate, creating a wormhole to a location in another galaxy. After O’Neil leads a team through the Stargate, they find themselves inside a pyramid in the middle of vast sand dunes. Jackson reveals they cannot dial home because the Stargate coordinates to go back to Earth are missing. Some team members stay at the pyramid while Jackson, O’Neil, and others go out and discover a mining village inhabited by humans who assume them to be gods sent by Ra.
Jackson realizes that the people speak a dialect of Ancient Egyptian and begins communicating with them. The team develops friendships with the people; O’Neil with Skaara, and Jackson begins a budding romance with Sha’uri, a daughter of the leader. Jackson learns from hieroglyphs in the catacombs how the Egyptian god Ra was actually an alien life form who enslaved humans with his advanced technology. While these humans eventually rebelled and buried the Stargate, some had been taken to the other planet through the Stargate and used to mine the quartzite-like mineral on which all of Ra’s technology is based. Fearing another rebellion on this planet, Ra outlawed reading and writing. At this point, the team from Earth discovers the coverstone to get back to Earth, but the seventh symbol is eroded away.
O’Neil orders the team to return to the pyramid. A short time later, a huge spacecraft lands on top of the pyramid. All team members in the pyramid are either killed or taken into the pyramidal craft. O’Neil and Jackson are escorted to the throne room, where they meet Ra. Despite wearing fearsome armor, Ra’s guards and servants are human. Ra reveals his intention to send the atomic bomb brought by O’Neil, which was to be used to destroy the Stargate to prevent invasion by any threat, back to Earth; it is now enhanced with his quartzite-like material to produce cataclysmic results. O’Neil attempts to disarm the guards and kill Ra, but relents when Ra uses his children courtiers as human shields. Jackson is killed during the altercation. O’Neil is thrown into a dungeon with the captured team members, while Jackson is regenerated in a sarcophagus-like device. Ra states that he will kill Jackson and everyone who has seen him unless Jackson kills the rest of the team to show the villagers that Ra is their one true god.
However, once Ra has the local people gathered before the pyramid craft, several young villagers signal to Jackson that they have recovered the team’s weapons. Jackson then shoots at Ra while the kids create a distraction. O’Neil, Jackson, and the rest of the team flee Ra’s ship and take shelter in a cave with the boys. The next morning, when Skaara draws a picture of the people’s victory against Ra, Jackson realizes that part of this drawing depicts the seventh symbol needed to reactivate the Stargate: three moons over a pyramid.
O’Neil convinces the locals that their “gods” are mere mortals and, with their help, O’Neil, Jackson, and the remaining members of the team make it back to the Stargate hoping to deactivate the bomb. When the locals begin an open rebellion against Ra’s troops, Ra decides to retreat and prepares his ship for takeoff. Sha’uri is killed in the battle, but Jackson resurrects her in Ra’s sarcophagus and manages to escape when O’Neil activates the ship’s ring transporter. Unable to deactivate the bomb, O’Neil and Jackson transport the bomb to Ra’s ship in orbit via the rings where it explodes, killing Ra. The team is able to return to Earth through the Stargate, though Jackson decides to remain on the planet.
I assume David made the not unwarranted assumption that the bible would be considering someone entering rather than leaving - hence Jachin on the right (on the way in) in the above.But 12 bible texts place Jachin in the south as well as to the right = the perspective MUST be of someone exiting the temple.
