What is even more interesting is that Vulcan is adored in Masonry under the name of Tubal Cain. In the Masonic Quiz Book the question is asked: "Who was Tubal Cain?" The answer is: "He is the Vulcan of the pagans.' In Masonry, Tubal Cain is the name of the password for the Master Mason (or third) degree. El mismo día en que se cumplían 11 años de la caída del Gobierno del radical Fernando de la Rúa, en una de las peores crisis de la historia de Argentina, pobladores de barriadas pobres de cinco ciudades argentinas protagonizaron este jueves saqueos o intentos de asaltos a supermercados y otros comercios. Dos personas murieron, al menos 45 resultados heridas (incluidos 25 policías) y 193 fueron arrestadas. Pese a que la economía argentina apenas ha crecido en 2012 después de varios años de alta expansión y a que la inflación continúa siendo alta (22,8%, según las agencias provinciales de estadística), la situación social dista mucho de asemejarse a la que este país sudamericano padecía en 2001. Sin embargo, se repitieron algunas imágenes de personas, sobre todo jóvenes, forzando las persianas de los comercios y llevándose alimentos, aunque esta vez también retiraban bebidas alcohólicas, bicicletas, ropa y televisores, en Rosario, Bariloche y ciudades de las provincias de Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos (este de Argentina) y Chaco (noreste).
Los incidentes comenzaron en Bariloche, la ciudad patagónica de ensueño donde se encuentra el principal centro de esquí de Argentina. Allí mismo donde hace dos años las barriadas pobres, ocultas de las postales turísticas, se levantaron para protestar por el asesinato de tres jóvenes a manos de la Policía. En esta ciudad del sur argentino se registraron los primeros y los mayores desmanes de la jornada. En al menos seis asaltos a supermercados, comercios y gasolineras resultaron heridos 15 presuntos saqueadores, uno de ellos con un tiro en el pecho, y 20 policías. Cientos de vecinos, muchos encapuchados, participaron de los saqueos. Tres fueron detenidos. El gobernador de la provincia de Río Negro (donde se encuentra Bariloche), el kirchnerista Alberto Weretilneck, pidió ayuda al Gobierno nacional, que encabeza la peronista Cristina Fernández y que envió un contingente de 400 gendarmes para controlar el desborde. Además, la Policía rionegrina mandó a Bariloche otros 150 agentes propios que estaban repartidos en otras zonas de la provincia.
Weretilneck negó que los saqueos obedecieran a un empeoramiento de la situación social: "No son hechos que tengan que ver con conflictividad social o cuestiones relacionadas con la supervivencia de la gente". Por el contrario, los relacionó con “grupos ligados al narcotráfico, el delito y la anarquía”, así como a cuestiones políticas. Además, calificó los saqueos como “aislados”. En tanto, un senador rionegrino por el peronismo, Miguel Pichetto, los atribuyó a “corrientes que vienen del indigenismo duro”. En su provincia, al igual que en regiones del sur de Chile, la comunidad mapuche tiene una presencia importante. El alcalde de Bariloche, el peronista Omar Goye, había pedido hace unos días a los supermercados que donaran canastas con alimentos para la Navidad. Meses atrás, Goye había recibido quejas de pobladores del empobrecido Alto Bariloche porque estaban suprimiéndose ayudas sociales.
Los saqueos de Bariloche produjeron un efecto contagio en otras ciudades de Argentina. En Rosario y sus alrededores, tres supermercados fueron saqueados y dos vecinos murieron por heridas de bala, según informó la prensa local. Unas 90 personas fueron arrestadas y 20 sufrieron lesiones, incluidos diez uniformados. Allí gobierna un opositor, el socialista Antonio Bonfatti. Vecinos de barrios pobres llevaban días quejándose por la falta de ayuda después de un reciente temporal, uno más en una primavera boreal con lluvias superiores a las habituales en Argentina.
En Campana, a 70 kilómetros al norte de Buenos Aires, cientos de pobladores de barrios pobres saquearon un supermercado e intentaron atacar otros dos, pero la Policía los dispersó. Al replegarse, los vecinos interrumpieron el tránsito en la aledaña carretera nacional 9, que une la capital con Rosario, y robaron algunos camiones y coches. Unos 100 vecinos fueron detenidos mientras saqueaban un supermercado en la madrugada del viernes. En la página web del periódico Tiempo Argentino, de línea editorial favorable al Gobierno de Fernández, se atribuían los incidentes de Campana al sindicato de camioneros, que dirige el líder del ala opositora de la peronista Confederación General del Trabajo (CGT), Hugo Moyano. Este dirigente que hace un año se divorció del kirchnerismo organizó este miércoles un acto no muy masivo en la Plaza de Mayo para pedirle a la presidenta que acabara con la inflación. Una vecina de Campana, que prefirió guardar el anonimato, comentó que en su barrio muchos habían participado de los saqueos: “Dicen que detrás está Moyano, pero yo hubiera ido si hubiera tenido transporte. Uno va al supermercado un día y al siguiente se encuentra con que las cosas salen más caras. Además, la gente está cansada de que no la ayuden con las inundaciones”. En la provincia de Buenos Aires, donde se encuentra Campana, gobierna el peronista Daniel Scioli, que no oculta sus aspiraciones de suceder a Fernández en 2015.
Moyano negó este viernes cualquier responsabilidad: "No puedo imaginarme que esto haya sido armado por alguien". En declaraciones a Radio Mitre, dijo que en su país "hay mucha necesidad, que se ve reflejada en esto (los saqueos)". También se refirió a las agresiones que camioneros sufrieron de parte de saqueadores: "Estamos preocupados por el temor que significan este tipo de situaciones. 'Ha habido forcejeos, algunos golpes, pero no de gravedad".
En otras provincias peronistas también se registraron incidentes. En Entre Ríos, la Policía evitó dos saqueos en supermercados de la ciudad de Concepción del Uruguay. En Resistencia, capital de Chaco, manifestantes que participaban de una marcha opositora entraron a una discoteca, robaron bebidas y provocaron destrozos.
Está claro que los saqueos de este jueves en Argentina no han sido generalizados. Aunque todavía no se conocen datos certeros sobre la evolución de la pobreza en Argentina en 2012, sí hay estadísticas que demuestran que la economía ya no crece al 9% anual como antes, sino al 1% o 2%, la inflación se mantiene alta pese a la desaceleración de la actividad y el paro, que había bajado en 2011 al 6,7%, el menor nivel en dos décadas, ahora ha subido al 7,6%, a diferencia de lo que ha ocurrido en la mayoría de los países latinoamericanos, donde ha seguido bajando.
El embajador argentino en Francia y reconocido economista heterodoxo, Aldo Ferrer, ha destacado en una reciente entrevista con Tiempo Argentino que en los nueve años de Gobiernos de los Kirchner su país había recuperado el “Estado, la soberanía y la capacidad de hacer política económica”, pero señaló como materias pendientes la “inclusión social” y la “erradicación de la pobreza”, que ha bajado del 57% de la población en 2002 al 21,9% 2011, según la Universidad Católica Argentina. Ferrer ha opinado que la inflación resulta “mayor que la que conviene”, aunque llamó a combatirla sin frenar el crecimiento o aumentar el desempleo.
