Hi lovuian - This is the anomalous tile, with the red dot that Nic referred to. Apologies for the glare on the photo. It's the only one like it in there, and points to the staircase up to the roof, as it says in the article. I can't imagine why.

In our hotel that evening, we met some interesting characters. One was an old Flemish guy who was convinced that he had discovered the origin of all indo-European languages, and that it was - guess what? - Old Flemish. I would like to comment on the founder's name: Setne Khamuast, whose name means "Set is Beautiful, a Power Appears in Thebes." Most books will tell you that the name Setne just means Sem Priest. Better books will mention that Setne was the poetic description of the leopard skin, but neglect to say anything about Set. Setne is the name for the leopard skin that Sem Priests wore during the Opening of the Mouth Ceremony. It was the garment they wore to visit the Pool of Kepheru to bring back the deceased and to gain their own power.

LOS NIÑOS ESPIRITUALES FRENTE
A LA MADUREZ ESPIRITUAL
 En Hebreos 5:12-14, la Palabra de Dios nos dice que debemos crecer en el conocimiento de la Palabra de Dios. Al hacerlo, vamos a pasar de ser niños espirituales a la madurez espiritual. La madurez espiritual se describe usando la palabra griega "Téleios" que se traduce como "adultez". En Hebreos 5:12-14 está escrito:
- "Porque debiendo ser ya maestros, después de tanto tiempo, tenéis necesidad de que se os vuelva a enseñar cuáles son los primeros rudimentos de las palabras de Dios; y habéis llegado a ser tales que tenéis necesidad de leche, y no de alimento sólido. Y todo aquel que participa de la leche es inexperto en la palabra de justicia, porque es niño."
En estos versículos debemos distinguir entre los niños cristianos que sólo pueden digerir la leche y los cristianos maduros que pueden comer la fuerte carne de la Palabra de Dios. La palabra niño en el griego es la palabra "népios". Es la palabra (3516) de Strong. La palabra griega "népios" Strong la define como "un infante, persona simple, un cristiano inmaduro". El Thayer’s Greek Lexicon define la palabra "népios" como "un niño pequeño, pueril, sin instrucción, inexperto".
La palabra hebrea equivalente para la palabra griega, "népios", es la palabra "Péti". Es la palabra (6612) de Strong. La palabra hebrea "Péti" se traduce en el Antiguo Testamento como "simple." Por lo tanto, la Biblia hace una clara distinción entre los que son simples y pueriles en su fe (el cristiano carnal o inmaduro) y entre aquellos que son adultos, completos y maduros en su fe (el cristiano maduro y la Novia de Cristo).
El principio bíblico del crecimiento de niños espirituales a la madurez espiritual lo podemos ver más adelante en Efesios 4:11-15, según está escrito:
- "Y él mismo constituyó a unos apóstoles; a otros, profetas; a otros evangelistas; a otros, pastores y maestros, a fin de perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo, hasta que todos lleguemos a la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, a un varón perfecto ("Téleios" – maduro espiritualmente), a la medida de la estatura de la plenitud de Cristo; Para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes ("népios" – cristianos niños e inmaduros espiritualmente), llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que para engañar emplean con astucias las artimañas del error, sino que siguiendo la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todo en aquel que es la cabeza, esto es Cristo."
Dios nos dice las características de un cristiano carnal que es un niño espiritual en 1ª Corintios 3:1-4. Un cristiano carnal es alguien que está todavía controlado por las prácticas y caminos de la carne. Podemos ver esta verdad en 1ª Corintios 3:1-4, como está escrito:
- "De manera que yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños ("népios") en Cristo. Os di a beber leche (la característica de un cristiano que es un niño espiritual – Hebreos 5:12-14), y no vianda; Porque aún no erais capaces, ni sois capaces todavía, porque aún sois carnales; pues habiendo entre vosotros celos, contiendas y disensiones, ¿no sois carnales, y andáis como hombres? Porque diciendo el uno: Yo ciertamente soy de Pablo; y el otro: Yo soy de Apolos, ¿no sois carnales?"
Por lo tanto, podemos ver por estos versículos en Efesios 4.11-15, que Dios desea que los cristianos crezcamos en conocimiento de Dios y seamos maduros espiritualmente "Téleios" y no seamos niños (népios) ya más. Los cristianos carnales practican la envidia, la contienda y las divisiones y siguen a un líder cristiano dejando a un lado a otros 1ª Corintios 3:1-4. Dios desea tener una Novia madura espiritualmente porque su recompensa será la mayor en el Reino de los Cielos. Los cristianos espiritualmente inmaduros estarán en el cielo pero serán los menores en el Reino de los Cielos (Mateo 5:19).

When molten sulphur is cooled, it solidifies into monoclinic sulphur. Sublimate of sulphur is called ‘flower of sulphur’. When sulphur is obtained by a chemical reaction as precipitate it is called ‘milk of sulphur’. These are made up of rhombic sulphur. Scientists have discovered many more allotropes of sulphur under different conditions.
All of them get transformed into rhombic sulphur at room temperature.
Sulphur has catenating power. It forms strong S-S covalent bonds. This results in formation of Sg molecules. Sg molecules have a shape of a crown like ring (Fig. 1.5). Both, rhombic and monoclinic sulphur contain S8 rings. At high temperatures smaller molecules like Sg, S4, S2, S also exist.

Sulfur or sulphur ( /ˈsʌlfər/ SUL-fər; see spelling below) is the chemical elementwith atomic number 16, represented by the symbol S. It is an abundant, multivalentnon-metal. At normal conditions, sulfur atoms form cyclic octatomic molecules with chemical formula S8. Elemental sulfur is a bright yellow crystalline solid. Chemically, sulfur can react as either an oxidant orreducing agent. It oxidizes most metals and several nonmetals, including carbon, which leads to its negatives charge in mostorganosulfur compounds, but it reduces several strong oxidants, such as oxygenand fluorine.
In nature, sulfur can be found as the pure element and as sulfide and sulfate minerals. Elemental sulfur crystals are commonly sought after by mineral collectors for their brightly colored polyhedron shapes. Being abundant in native form, sulfur was known in ancient times, mentioned for its uses inancient Greece, China and Egypt.

The rhombic dodecahedron forms the hull of the vertex-first projection of a tesseract to 3 dimensions. There are exactly two ways of decomposing a rhombic dodecahedron into 4 congruent parallelepipeds, giving 8 possible parallelepipeds. The 8 cells of the tesseract under this projection map precisely to these 8 parallelepipeds.
The rhombic dodecahedron forms the maximal cross-section of a 24-cell, and also forms the hull of its vertex-first parallel projection into 3 dimensions. The rhombic dodecahedron can be decomposed into 6 congruent (but non-regular) square dipyramids meeting at a single vertex in the center; these form the images of 6 pairs of the 24-cell’s octahedral cells. The remaining 12 octahedral cells project onto the faces of the rhombic dodecahedron. The non-regularity of these images are due to projective distortion; the facets of the 24-cell are regular octahedra in 4-space.
This decomposition gives an interesting method for constructing the rhombic dodecahedron: cut a cube into 6 congruent square pyramids, and attach them to the faces of a second cube. The triangular faces of each pair of adjacent pyramids lie on the same plane, and so merge into rhombuses. The 24-cell may also be constructed in an analogous way using two tesseracts.

Patterns and properties
Pascal’s triangle has many properties and contains many patterns of numbers.
- When adding all the digits in a single row, each successive row has twice the value of the row preceding it. For example, row 1 has a value of 1, row 2 has a value of 2, row 3 has a value of 4, and so forth.
- The value of a row, if each entry is considered a decimal place (and numbers larger than 9 carried over accordingly) is a power of 11 ( 11n, for row n). Thus, in row two, ’1,2,1′ becomes 112, while ’1,5,10,10,5,1′ in row six becomes (after carrying) 161,051, which is 115. This property is explained by setting x = ’10′ in the binomial expansion of (x + 1)row=n, and adjusting values to the decimal system. But x can be chosen to allow rows to represent values in any base – such as base 3; 1 2 13['1,2,1'] = 42 (16), 2 1 0 13 ['1,3,3,1'] = 43 (64) – or base 9; 1 2 19 = 102 (100), 1 3 3 19 = 103 (1000) and 1 6 2 1 5 19 ['1,5,10,10,5,1'] = 105 (100,000). In particular (see next property), for x = 1 place value remains constant(1place=1). Thus entries can simply be added in interpreting the value of a row.
- The sum of the elements of row m is equal to 2m−1. For example, the sum of the elements of row 5 is 1 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 1 = 16, which is equal to 24 = 16. This follows from the binomial theorem proved above, applied to (1 + 1)m−1.
- If rows are numbered starting with n = 0, the sum of the elements in the row is simply 2n, so row 0 adds to 20 = 1, row 1 adds to 21 = 2, etc.
- Some of the numbers in Pascal’s triangle correlate to numbers in Lozanić’s triangle.
- The sum of the squares of the elements of row m equals the middle element of row (2m − 1). For example, 12 + 42 + 62 + 42 + 12 = 70. In general form:
- Another interesting pattern is that on any row m, wherem is odd, the middle term minus the term two spots to the left equals a Catalan number, specifically the (m + 1)/2 Catalan number. For example: on row 5, 6 − 1 = 5, which is the 3rd Catalan number, and (5 + 1)/2 = 3.
- Another interesting property of Pascal’s triangle is that in rows where the second number (immediately following ’1′) is prime, all the terms in that row except the 1s are multiples of that prime.

In geometry, a vertex configuration (or vertex type, orvertex description) is a short-hand notation for representing the vertex figure of a polyhedron or tiling as the sequence of faces around a vertex. For uniform polyhedra there is only one vertex type and therefore thevertex configuration fully defines the polyhedron. (Chiral polyhedra exist in mirror image pairs with the same vertex configuration.)
A vertex configuration is given as a sequence of numbers representing the number of sides of the faces going around the vertex. A a.b.c means a vertex has 3 faces around it, with a, b, and c sides.

In geometry, polyhedra are associated into pairs called duals, where the vertices of one correspond to the faces of the other. The dual of the dual is the original polyhedron. The dual of a polyhedron with equivalent vertices is one with equivalent faces, and of one with equivalent edges is another with equivalent edges. So the regular polyhedra — the Platonic solids and Kepler-Poinsot polyhedra— are arranged into dual pairs, with the exception of the regular tetrahedron which is self-dual.

The interior of the compound of two dual tetrahedra is an octahedron, and this compound, called the stella octangula, is its first and only stellation. Correspondingly, a regular octahedron is the result of cutting off from a regular tetrahedron, four regular tetrahedra of half the linear size (i.e. rectifyingthe tetrahedron). The vertices of the octahedron lie at the midpoints of the edges of the tetrahedron, and in this sense it relates to the tetrahedron in the same way that thecuboctahedron and icosidodecahedron relate to the other Platonic solids. One can also divide the edges of an octahedron in the ratio of the golden mean to define the vertices of an icosahedron. This is done by first placing vectors along the octahedron’s edges such that each face is bounded by a cycle, then similarly partitioning each edge into the golden mean along the direction of its vector. There are five octahedra that define any given icosahedron in this fashion, and together they define a regular compound.
Octahedra and tetrahedra can be alternated to form a vertex, edge, and face-uniformtessellation of space, called the octet truss by Buckminster Fuller. This is the only such tiling save the regular tessellation of cubes, and is one of the 28 convex uniform honeycombs. Another is a tessellation of octahedra and cuboctahedra.
The octahedron is unique among the Platonic solids in having an even number of faces meeting at each vertex. Consequently, it is the only member of that group to possess mirror planes that do not pass through any of the faces.
Using the standard nomenclature for Johnson solids, an octahedron would be called asquare bipyramid. Truncation of two opposite vertices results in a square bifrustum.
Uniform colorings and symmetry
There are 3 uniform colorings of the octahedron, named by the triangular face colors going around each vertex: 1212, 1112, 1111. The octahedron’s symmetry group is Oh, of order 48, the three dimensional hyperoctahedral group. This group’s subgroups include D3d (order 12), the symmetry group of a triangularantiprism; D4h (order 16), the symmetry group of a square bipyramid; and Td (order 24), the symmetry group of a rectified tetrahedron. These symmetries can be emphasized by different colorings of the faces.

Swansea City Association Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Dinas Abertawe) is a Welsh professional football club based in the city of Swansea, South Wales that play in the Premier League. The only Wales-based club in the division, they play their home matches at the Liberty Stadium.
The club was founded in 1912 and joined the Football League in 1921. The club changed their name in 1969, when it adopted the name Swansea City to reflect Swansea's new status as a city.[1] They were promoted to the original Football League First Division in 1981. It was during the following season they came close to winning the league title, but a decline then set near the season's end before finishing sixth, although a club record. It was from here the club suffered a relegation the season after, returning back to the Football League Fourth Division a few seasons later, then narrowly avoided relegation to the Football Conference in 2003. Prior to playing home matches at the Liberty Stadium, the team had previously hosted at the Vetch Field. The area around Swansea traditionally had been a Rugby area, and despite previous attempts by a football club named Swansea Villa, there were no notable football clubs until the establishment of Swansea Town AFC in the summer of 1912. They, following the lead of many other South Wales sides, joined the second division of the Southern League for the following season. J.W. Thorpe was the club's first chairman. A site owned by Swansea Gaslight Co., called Vetch Field due to the vegetables that grew there, was rented to be the club's ground. The club's first professional match was a 1–1 draw at the Vetch Field against Cardiff City on 7 September 1912. During that first season the Welsh Cup was won for the first time, and the following season the Swans became the first side to reach the First Round of the FA Cup. Blackburn Rovers were the first First Division side to the visit Vetch Field for a competitive game in the 1914–1915 FA Cup – Blackburn Rovers were then the Champions of England, but Swansea Town from the Second Division of the Southern League beat them 1–0 at Vetch Field, Swansea's goal coming from Ben Beynon,[4] while Blackburn Rovers' penalty taker Bradshaw missed a penalty. There is little remarkable about that, but before the game Bradshaw had scored with thirty-six consecutive spot kicks. Even more remarkable when Swans played most of the second half with ten men and the final fifteen minutes with just nine men as two players were forced to retire through injury[5][6] The Swans drew at another First Division side, Newcastle United, in the next round, before losing narrowly in the replay.
Following the First World War the Southern League dropped its second division, and with many clubs dropping out due to financial difficulties, the Swans were placed in the first division. After just four seasons in the Southern League, Swansea Town became founder members of the new Third Division of The Football League in 1920 and then Division Three (South) the following season.
After five seasons in Division Three (South) and a few failed bids for promotion, the Swans reached the Second Division for the first time in 1925, beating Exeter City 2–1 at home on the final day of the season to beat perennial runners-up Plymouth Argyle to the Championship. The side had remained unbeaten at home in the league all season – something the next promotion team would emulate over twenty years later. The following season the Swans reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time – beating Exeter City, Watford, Blackpool, Stoke City, Millwall and Arsenal on the way to playing Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane. Sadly for the Swans, an experienced Bolton side won the game 3–0 and went on to win the cup. Swans record their highest average attendance during the season of 16,118 for pre-war league games. During the 1926–27 season they beat Real Madrid 3–0 on tour and reached the FA Cup quarter finals before losing 3–1 to Reading at the Vetch Field.
During the 1931–31 season they finished 20th and went out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. However they won the Welsh Cup after beating Wrexham 2–0 away after a replay, Cyril Pearce scored 35 league goals from 40 games league appearances during the season. It was not until the 1933–34 season that Wilfred Milne scored his first goal for Swansea at Lincoln City after 501 appearances without a goal. In the 1935–36 season the Swans set a league record for longest distance travelled between consecutive matches, Good Friday Swans played at Plymouth(2–1), and Easter Saturday Swans played at Newcastle United(1–2).

La compañía alemana Adidas, actual sponsor oficial de la NBA -todos los equipos usan ropa provista por esa marca-, chocó contra una férrea oposición y una lluvia de críticas que objetaron su modelo JS Roundhouse Mids.
El diseño incluía, sobre la media caña tradicional de las zapatillas de básquetbol, una cadena que unía el cuerpo del calzado con una llamativa pulsera de tobillo, que remite a los grilletes a los que eran atados los esclavos negros durante su traslado al continente americano para ser vendidos al mejor postor.
Adidas tenía previsto lanzar el modelo en agosto, pero al realizar su anuncio en su Facebook oficial, estalló una verdadera ola de críticas desde todo el planeta. La mayoría se mostró ofendida porque el modelo invoca a una de las imágenes más características del comercio de seres humanos.
El número de comentarios del posteo sigue creciendo sin cesar desde el 14 de junio, día en que apareció, y este martes alcanzaba casi 4.000. También coleccionaba casi 38.000 "me gusta", algo que pareciera entablar un debate que se ve reflejado también en algunos comentarios que no creen que el modelo sea especialmente agresivo. Pero las críticas son evidente mayoría.
No solamente en Facebook se han visto repercusiones. Varios medios norteamericanos realizaron informes especiales sobre el tema -en todos los casos con ásperas críticas- y numerosas webs de organizaciones sociales expresaron su estupor.
"Obviamente no había nadie de color en la sala cuando el equipo de marketing y producto dio el OK para esto", dice uno de los comentarios posteados. "Quedé literalmente congelado cuando vi el nuevo diseño de Adidas para agosto", dijo el Dr. Boyce Watkins en un posteo que aparece en la web de Your Black World.
Una de las celebridades que dedicó unas palabras a este caso fue el Reverendo Jesse Jackson: "El intento de comercializar y hacer popular más de 200 años de degradación, donde los negros eran considerados 60% humanos por nuestra Constitución, es ofensivo, atroz y falto de sensibilidad".
El diseñador Jeremy Scott, responsable de las JS Roundhouse Mids, fue defendido por la empresa en el momento de decidir la cancelación del lanzamiento. "No es más que una muestra de su creatividad y solamente hace a la moda, no tiene nada que ver con la esclavitud", señala el comunicado de la empresa.
Sin embargo, también pide disculpas a quienes se hayan sentido ofendidos por el modelo y finalmente anuncia formalmente la decisión de no hacerlas llegar a las vidrieras: "Desactivamos nuestros planes para sacarlas a la venta en el mercado".
