An incredible amount of time has been wasted trying to determine the historicity of Jesus, all because scholars and theologians are too conceited to consider astrology-or maybe there is too much money, egos and careers at stake? The book of Matthew practically tells you where to look.
Actually, the connection between astronomy and mythology has not gone unnoticed by apologists. I have a few Christian sources that go to great lengths to "disprove" the connection between astrology and Christianity by steering their readers away from the traditional sun cycle. To admit such a link would be fatal to the conceit of their faith.
Now, thanks to computer technology, we can simulate these biblical events for ourselves and see with positive proof that the Gospel narratives were derived from the stars. We can confirm that the Bible contains nothing more than a series of pagan myths with a different spin.
The favorite rationale for why Jesus' birthday is celebrated on December 25th is that the early Christian fathers chose that date as a way of attracting pagan followers. That's bull. The entire nativity legend can be seen played out in the sky.
Christian mythology is written as if the events took place on earth. Unless one looks for the double meaning in the Bible's language, the astronomical connection can't be seen. The Gospels are laid out according to the zodiacal motifs with Jesus, the sun hero, passing through the four seasons. He is born every year on December 25, the first day when daylight hours start to increase.
In the winter months, the darkness of evil is still in force. As the daylight hours start to increase, he is said to be increasing in strength. His mission starts on the first day of spring when daylight hours equal nighttime hours. Spring is the time of righteousness.
He is at full strength at the summer solstice when the sun is at its highest position in the sky. As the sun descends through the summer months, the dark forces of evil are said to be sapping his strength.
When the sun passes through the autumnal equinox, the evil forces of darkness are said to be ruling. On the three darkest days of the year, the sun is dead from December 21 to 24. His resurrection restarts on December 25, when the sun starts to ascend again.
32This Jesus hath God raised [ascended] up, whereof we all are witnesses. (Acts 2:32)

When Mary was engaged to marry Joseph and before they lived together, she was impregnated with a child from the Holy Spirit. Joseph, being a righteous man, planned to dismiss her quietly, but an angel came to Joseph and told him not to be afraid because the child was conceived by the Holy Spirit. His name is to be Jesus for he will save his people from their sins. When Joseph awoke from his sleep, he did what the angel commanded and took her for his wife.
In the time of Herod the king, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem, looking for the king of Jews so they could pay homage. King Herod was frightened when he heard this. So he asked his chief priests and scribes where the Messiah was to be born. They told him it was to be in Bethlehem because it was prophesized.
Herod secretly called for the wise men to learn when the star appears. He sent them to Bethlehem to find the child so he can pay homage too.
When the wise men left, they watched it move ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was born. They entered the house and paid homage with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Afterward they went by a different route and did not return to Herod.
Setup
To prove that the Nativity story conforms to the definition of mythology, the astral events have to take place on the day of December 25 from Jerusalem, which is close enough to Bethlehem. The year should be sometime around the first century.
To simulate the events, I am using freeware from Your Sky. Ambitious readers, who want to test these dates for themselves, can download the software or use the program available at the website. The origin of this nativity legend goes back a long way, probably to the ancient Egyptians. The schedules work at least as far back as 4,000 BCE to 1500 CE. The Bible text covers Matthew 1:18-2:23.
Divine Conception
Nine months before Jesus was born, the Holy Spirit came upon the virgin mother. To see how that works astronomically go to When was Jesus born
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit; (Matt. 1:18)
Joseph
1. Joseph resolved to divorce her quietly until an angel came to him in a dream and told him his wife was conceived by the Holy Spirit. The stars of Bootes the herdsman represent Joseph, who is always by Virgo's side, as Figures 1 and 4 show.
19and her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit; (Matt. 1:19-20)
2. The angel told Joseph she will bear a son who shall be called Jesus; he will save his people from their sins.
21she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."; (Matt. 1:21)
3. This is to fulfill a prophecy spoken by the prophet (Isaiah:7:14). One reason for the falsity of the prophecy lies in the fact that Jews didn't believe in him, so they weren't saved.
22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: 23"Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel" (which means, God with us). (Matt. 1:22-23)

Mary
1. Virgo represents Virgin Mary. Her name is Mary because the word connotes water-in biblespeak, water is the mother element of birth. For example in Genesis 1, God divided the waters to make heaven and earth; Moses' Red Sea crossing symbolized the birth of the new nation of Israel.
2. On December 25 at the first hour, Virgo ascends above the horizon (Figure 2). It is significant that Virgo be ascending. Ascension is looked upon as a fortuitous direction.
3. At dawn, the sun personifies the Christ child born on the first day of the year when daylight hours start to increase. Thus we have the phrase, "a virgin shall conceive and bear a son". She is even lying on her side (Figure 3) as if to be giving birth. When seen through the eyes of an astrologer, there is nothing miraculous about this divine conception.
4. The passage in Luke about "the low estate of his handmaiden" takes on an astronomical meaning when we see Virgo arriving from below with her hand first to emerge above the horizon, i.e. the hand of the maiden.
46And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; (Luke 1:48)

Bethlehem
Jesus was made to be born in Bethlehem because, in Hebrew it means "house of bread". The house of bread is in Virgo who is pictured above (Figure 3) with grain stalks in her arms.
1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, 2"Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the East, and have come to worship him." (Matt. 2:1-2)
Herod
Herod can be observed in Figure 4 as the constellation Serpens Caput the serpent. In the bottom of the picture there is Libra the balance scale. It could be that the scale was meant to weigh good and evil.
The implication that all Jerusalem was as much afraid of Jesus as Herod is rather silly.
3When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him 4and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5They told him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it is written by the prophet: 6'And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will govern my people Israel.'" (Matt. 2:3-6)

The wise men
The wise men are represented by the three stars (Figure 5) at the waistline of the constellation Orion.
1. The wise men came from the east because they saw his star in the east (Figure 5).
If the wise men were coming from the east, how can they see his star in the east? On land, the star should be west of them? The answer is that all stars come from the east, but the star of Bethlehem is to the east of Orion. As they drift westerly, the star of Bethlehem remains to the east.
To this day, Jews never accepted Jesus as king. He had no political power. He did not save them. Even worse, his name became a symbol of Jewish persecution.
1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, 2"Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the East, and have come to worship him." (Matt. 2:1-2)
2. Herod sent the wise men to Bethlehem to find out when the star appears. Astronomically, Orion disappears below the horizon for about twelve hours. This could be seen as the time they spent with Herod.
7Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star appeared; 8and he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, "Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him bring me word, that I too may come and worship him." (Matt. 2:3-8)
3. The wise men see the star of Bethlehem when Orion, with its three belt stars, hangs over Sirius (Figure 7). This is how the star "rests over the place where the child was".
9When they had heard the king they went their way; and lo, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy; (Matt. 2:9-10)
4. Their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh symbolize the whitish to gold colors of the three stars.
11and going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. (Matt. 2:11)
5. The wise men did not return to Herod because it is impossible for stars to reverse direction.
12And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. (Matt. 2:12)
6. "Wise" is falsely translated from the Greek magos, which denotes they were magicians. Or in this case, they were astrologers. In those days, astrologers were believed to be wise and learned men.

The Star of Bethlehem
1. At 4:00 PM, Sirius emerges above the horizon-astronomy handbooks list Sirius as the brightest star next to the sun (Figure 7). The three stars in Orion align towards Sirius.

Manger
Matthew says Jesus was born in a house; Luke says he was born in a manger. They do not contradict as much as it appears. A house defines one of the twelve sectors of the Zodiac. The manger is more specific in pointing to the house of Capricorn. There are reasons for the choice of manger.
The zodiac constellation preceding Capricorn is Sagittarius, half man half horse. As the sun descends, the horse is seen to be riding down towards its stable, or manger, into Capricorn. Also, it is a dark time of the year and mangers are dark places.
In the legend of the Twelve Labors of Hercules, when Hercules was in Capricorn, he was to clean out the stables of King Augeas
11and going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. (Matt. 2:11)
7And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.(Luke 2:7)
Los calendarios lunares y las culturas que desarrollaron solamente calendarios lunares no desarrollaron conciencia solar. Ahora podemos decir "¿Dónde están estos calendarios lunares?” Virtualmente todas las culturas de lo que llamamos el Viejo Mundo funcionaron solamente con calendarios lunares, y siguen un año lunar, y no un año solar. Así que tenemos el Chino, el Japonés, el Tibetano, el Hindú, el Arabe y el Judío – éstos son los calendarios lunares mayores, pero realmente sólo hay un calendario lunar. Porque el Hindú, el Arabe, el Judío, el Chino y el Japonés, todos ven la misma luna. Entonces a pesar del hecho que dicen calendario lunar Chino, el calendario lunar Arabe, calendario lunar Hebreo, ésas son todas sólo divisiones culturales arbitrarias, porque hay sólo una Luna. Es interesante observar estas culturas y civilizaciones desde este punto de vista. Vemos que todo lo que se desarrolló en lo que llamamos historia fue desarrollado por culturas que podríamos llamar desequilibradas. Es interesante también contemplar que a pesar del hecho que las civilizaciones del Viejo Mundo estaban basadas en calendarios lunares, eran patriarcales. Éste es un punto interesante para la psicología. Yo creo que debido a que ellos no tenían conciencia solar, los hombres compensaron esto dominando la sociedad y usaron un calendario lunar paradójicamente.
Así que cuando hablamos sobre el Calendario Gregoriano, se describe mejor como un calendario solar falso, pero esto también crea un desbalance aun peor, y una forma aun peor de patriarcado. El origen del Calendario Gregoriano es muy oscuro. Es muy claro que en las fases más tempranas de la civilización Egipcia e incluso en la Babilonia, que ellos consideraron un calendario solar. Babilonios y Egipcios tenían calendarios solares de 12 meses de 30 días, y luego un ciclo de 5 días, y ésta es una medida del año solar. Pero esos 30 días realmente no corresponden a ningún ciclo natural. Esto se derivó como una función de la geometría del círculo.
Esta forma temprana de calendarios solares en el Viejo Mundo desapareció después de algún tiempo, y cuando en el imperio romano el emperador Julio Cesar intentó formular un calendario solar, una medida de 365 días, era básicamente la otra versión torcida y desigual del Calendario Gregoriano. Los calendarios Gregoriano y Juliano son esencialmente el mismo calendario. Lo que el Papa Gregorio XIII hizo fue juntar a todos los científicos y astrónomos más buenos que pudo, para trabajar en el sistema para el año bisiesto. Ésta fue la introducción del 29 de febrero. Ellos hicieron eso tan sistemáticamente que el año bisiesto sucede cada cuatro años, pero no durante el cambio de siglo (por ejemplo en el 1900), a menos que el siglo fuera divisible entre cuatro. En otras palabras, no hubo año bisiesto en el año 1900, pero habrá uno en el año 2000. Éste es un sistema verdaderamente diabólico, porque fue diseñado de una manera muy sistemática, y ganó la admiración de los científicos de su época.
Eso es un poco de historia; hemos estado hablando principalmente de la historia de lo que llamamos el Viejo Mundo, y también mencionamos el Calendario de las Trece Lunas, que es una verdadera medida del año solar de 365 días, basado en una medida promedio del ciclo lunar de 28 días. Sabemos que este calendario fue usado por la civilización Inca e incluso antes de la civilización Inca en América del Sur. Cuando estudiamos la naturaleza de las civilizaciones que usaron este calendario, encontramos una descripción de la sociedad que, por un lado era colectivista, y por otro lado tenía lo que podríamos llamar un tipo de familia real o imperial. Pero la función de esta familia era ver que todo en la sociedad fuera colectivo. Encontramos que la noción del Tiempo era muy, muy desarrollada en la civilización Inca, que también tenían, además del Calendario de Trece Lunas, una concepción del tiempo que involucró cinco órdenes radiales diferentes, que se llaman Hanan y Urin - cercano Hanan y lejano Hanan, cercano Urin y lejano Urin.
También, cuando miramos la naturaleza del Inca y la sociedad pre-Inca, vemos cómo el tiempo informa los órdenes sociales: no sólo la sociedad era colectivista, sino que los grupos sociales se movían a través de diferentes funciones. Había un periodo de vida en la que usted era un granjero, otra fase de su vida cuando usted era un artesano. Entonces ésta era una forma social en movimiento. También el día extra, el 365, siempre era celebrado en el solsticio: En el hemisferio norte es llamado el solsticio de verano, pero en el hemisferio sur es el solsticio del invierno. Lo que llamamos el solsticio de verano en el hemisferio norte, era el día extra, el 21 de junio. Era el primer día del Año Nuevo y un día de gran celebración.
Otro tipo de estos Calendarios de Trece Lunas que conocemos es por ejemplo el Calendario Druida. Dando énfasis a la naturaleza pre-histórica de estos calendarios, el Calendario Druida llegó hace más de 3,000 años a Inglaterra. Este calendario es muy interesante; es un tipo de complemento al calendario Pachacuti, porque el día extra de este calendario está en el medio del invierno en el norte (o en el medio del verano en el Sur); mientras el día extra del Pachacuti era el 21 de junio, el día extra Druida era en Diciembre 23, apenas después del (en el norte) solsticio de invierno. Los nombres del Calendario Druida son todos nombres de árboles, y este Calendario de Trece Lunas de 28 días se usó con lo que se llama un alfabeto del árbol; es interesante que este alfabeto del árbol tenía 20 letras - con las 13 lunas - tenemos la frecuencia 13:20 incluida en el Calendario Druida.
La temprana cultura Druida/Celta también estuvo muy involucrada con las fuerzas de la naturaleza. Ellos también dividieron el año en cinco periodos, cada periodo era de 72 días - con eso de nuevo tenemos 5 días extra; lo que es muy similar al concepto del Uayeb - los 5 días extra de los calendarios solares Maya. No menciono estas cosas porque quiera parecer Profesor - qué es sin embargo inevitable - sino solo para demostrar que la Ley del Tiempo ha estado operando en la parte inconsciente de la cultura humana antes de nuestro tiempo. Éste realmente es el punto principal al plantear esto; y también para dar énfasis a que el Calendario de las Trece Lunas de 28 días ha sido una norma armónica para muchos humanos, pre-históricamente, y a través de varias de estas corrientes culturales.
Los Mayas por supuesto fueron los maestros del tiempo. En la cumbre de su civilización ellos usaban más de 17 calendarios, y esto enfatiza el punto de que el propósito del calendario es sincronizar. De hecho, ellos demostraron que entre más unidades de medida usted pueda usar simultáneamente, mejor se puede sincronizar. Cuando usted piensa en vivir por el Calendario Gregoriano que ni siquiera es un calendario lunar, y que realmente sofoca la mente, usted puede ver por qué seguimos en una línea simple, y por qué nos sorprendemos cuando algo sincrónico ocurre, cuando sincronía en realidad es todo lo que existe. Entre los calendarios usados por los Mayas había uno llamado Tun-Uc. Tun quiere decir cuenta, Uc quiere decir luna y siete. La cuenta de la luna o la cuenta de siete. Porque 28 es 4 x 7, éste es realmente de nuevo un punto muy simple, pero muy profundo. Hay una razón por la que decimos semana de 7 días, pero es más simple y más profunda que la que experimentamos con el calendario actual. El calendario Tun-Uc estaba sincronizado con la astronomía Maya y sus 13 constelaciones Mayas. Pero los mayas tenían un calendario solar que también se usó al mismo tiempo que se llamó el Haab. Ambos calendarios tenían la medida de 365 días pero el Haab usaba un sistema de cuenta de 20, así que habían
18 x 20 ciclos, y después 5 días que eran el periodo del Uayeb. El ciclo de los 20 días se llama Vinal y el Uayeb es el ciclo de 5 días.
Estos calendarios en el Siglo VII eran sincronizados a una fecha que se correlaciona con el 26 de julio. Ésta fecha fue elegida por razones galácticas. Mientras que vemos que los calendarios lunares estaban basados en la luna y los calendarios solares tomaban una medida del ciclo solar, y que el Tun-Uc o el Pachacuti o el calendario Druida, realmente son calendarios solares-lunares, lo que hizo a los calendarios Haab y al Tun-Uc galácticos es que escogieron para su punto de sincronización la fecha del 26 de julio. Y eso es porque ese día la estrella Sirio asciende en conjunción con el Sol. Éste es un punto muy interesante porque significa que los calendarios Druida y Pachacuti fueron marcados por los solsticios, mientras que al Tun-Uc y al Haab no los sincroniza el solsticio, tampoco la luna, sino una estrella, Sirio.
Ahora es muy interesante que también encontramos que en el antiguo Egipto lo que es conocido como la teología de Memphis (o teología Memphita). Esta escuela también usó el Calendario de Trece Lunas, llamado calendario de Toth, el famoso portador del conocimiento, lo encontramos también en la tradición de Hermes Trismegistos. El Calendario de Trece Lunas de Toth, que también tenía su punto de inicio con el ascenso de Sirio. Entonces tenemos en las dos civilizaciones, Egipcia y Maya, un reconocimiento de la estrella Sirio ascendiendo marcando el punto de inicio calendárico del año.
Hay varios otros puntos interesantes en eso: En el momento en que la ascensión de Sirio era escogida como el punto del inicio del calendario, en el año 692 de la era Cristiana, y la fecha en el Calendario Juliano era el 16 de julio. Es muy interesante que el calendario Islámico toma como su punto de arranque en el Calendario Juliano, 16 de julio, AD 622, así que hay una coordinación entre el Calendario Islámico, el de Toth, y los calendarios Mayas - Tun Uc y Haab. El Calendario Islámico tomó para su inicio el vuelo famoso del Hégira de Mohammad, que tuvo lugar el 16 de Julio de 622 en el Calendario Juliano y Julio 26 en el Gregoriano. Ese tipo de coordinación es interesante porque en el Croan hay sólo una estrella mencionada por nombre, y por supuesto es Sirio, y todo esto es muy serio!
Eso es solo un poco de información de fondo sobre el Calendario de las Trece Lunas que hemos estado usando durante los últimos 10 años, que esta basado en el Tun Uc y esas son algunas de las razones por las que lo estamos usando. También sabemos de los movimientos de reforma de calendario del siglo XX, en estos el calendario que siempre ha sido escogido es el Calendario de Trece Lunas de 28 días. Este calendario fue introducido en los tiempos modernos por el filosofo Francés Auguste Comte. En 1842 algunos viajeros Franceses que habían estado en Tahiti mostraron el calendario Polinesio de Trece Lunas de 28 días a Auguste Comte. Comte estudió esto durante siete años y en 1849 introdujo la primera propuesta de reforma del calendario Gregoriano basada en el Calendario de Trece Lunas.
Es interesante también que fue en el año 1842 cuando fue presentado el Calendario de Trece Lunas a Auguste Comte, exactamente 260 años después de la reforma del Calendario Gregoriano de 1852. Cualquiera que estudia el calendario Maya sabe que 260 años son lo que se llama un ciclo de Ahau. Cuando empecé esta conferencia hoy dije que los Mayas sabían todo. Ciertamente ellos sabían todo sobre el tiempo y los ciclos del tiempo. Ellos sabían que un ciclo Ahau pasaría después de la introducción del Calendario Gregoriano y entonces el calendario de estilo Maya seria reintroducido en Occidente.

The brightest of all the fixed stars is Sirius. Known to astronomers as Alpha Canis Major, it is the principal star of the constellation Canis Major (the Big Dog). The ancient Egyptians called it Septit, the Hebrews knew it as Sihor, to the Greeks as Sothis and also as the "the Dog Star" that followed Orion the Hunter. Sirius has a magnitude of -1.42, which makes it nine times more brilliant than a standard first magnitude star. It can even been seen in daylight with a telescope having an aperture of 12 mm.

Its colour is a brilliant white with a tinge of blue and purple. Sometimes when atmospheric conditions are right, Sirius will scintillate with all the colours of the rainbow when seen low on the horizon. Classified as a type 'A1' star, Sirius is 23 times as bright as our sun and has almost twice its diameter. Being only 8.7 light-years away, Sirius is the fifth nearest star to our solar system, and the nearest after Alpha Centauri among the naked eye stars. Because of this, Sirius has a very high apparent proper motion of -1.21 arc seconds per year. Some 100,000 years ago it was near Cancer on the 'east' side of the Milky Way. Since then it has crossed the Milky Way and now rests on its 'west' bank. In the last 2000 years, for example, the position of Sirius has shifted some 45 arc minutes (almost half a degree) which is about one-and-a-half times the apparent size of the moon.

Throughout recorded history, and probably long before, Sirius was the subject of much veneration and myth making throughout the world. Even as late as the 1970s it became the subject of a very controversial theory linked to extra-terrestrials and the Dogon tribe of Mali published by the scholar and author Robert Temple. There is much speculation on the origin of its modern name which is generally thought to be derived from the Greek word "Sirio" meaning "scorching" or "sparkling", apparently because it rose in the height of the summer heat. Some etymologists, however, have suggested a connection with the ancient Egyptian god Osiris. But of all the various names and epithets that this star was given, none can match the notoriety of its role in history as the "Star of Isis".
Since earliest times the ancient Egyptian paid particular attention to Sirius, which they identified to the 'soul' of the Goddess Isis. There was a time, very long ago, that Sirius could not be seen in the sky from Egypt. This was because of a phenomenon known as the Precession of the Equinoxes. The Precession is a very slow wobble of our planet taking the polar axis of the Earth in a circular swing of 47 degrees every 26,000 years. The general effect is that the stellar landscape appears to swing up and down like a pendulum. Before the 12th millennium BC Sirius was below the horizon line as seen from the region of Cairo/Giza. It made its first appearance in the skies at that place in c.10,500 BC. Then it had a declination of about 58 degrees 43', which meant it would have just been visible in the south about 1.5 degree above the horizon line. For early man to witnessing the 'birth' of such a bright star must have been a very impressive sight rich with meaning and messages from the gods. Also the rising of Sirius occurred when the constellation of Virgo was rising in the east, which may partly explain why the star became the symbol of a virgin-goddess. We do not know when exactly Sirius became identified to the goddess Isis, but the idea certainly goes back to the origin of Egyptian culture. It was from the 'womb' of Isis-Sirius that was born the divine child, Horus.

The conception and birth of Horus occurred in a magical way as told in the myth of Isis and Osiris:
"HORUS WHO IS IN SIRIUS"
Isis and Osiris were among the four children born from the womb of the sky-goddess, Nut and fathered by Ra, the sungod. The other two children were Seth and Nephtys. Osiris took Isis as his wife, and they became the first rulers of Egypt. At the age of 28 Osiris was brutally killed by his jealous brother Seth and his body cut into fourteen pieces. Isis recovered all of the pieces of Osiris' body except the phallus, which she could not find. Isis fashioned an artificial phallus for Osiris, placed herself on it in the form of a kite, and became pregnant with his seed. She then went into hiding in the marshes of the Nile, and gave birth to Horus. From the Pyramid Texts and various other religious writings, it is clear that this myth has its counterpart in the stars, with Isis identified to Sirius and Osiris to the constellation of Orion. In the Pyramid Texts it is said of Osiris-Orion:
"Your sister Isis comes to you rejoicing for love of you. You have placed her on your phallus and your seed issues in her, she being ready as Sirius, and Horus Sopd (a star) has come forth from you as Horus who is in Sirius…" [Pyr. Text line 632]

Recreating the ancient skies of the early Dynastic Era (c.3300 BC) which took place just before the great Pyramid Age (c.2750 - 2100 BC) we find that the star Sirius performed a very evocative cycle in the heavens which readily explains why it was associated to a magical birth.
Because the earth moves around the sun, the fixed background of the stars appears to shift throughout the year in relation to the sun. Yearly observations of Sirius, for example, would show that there is a time when the star sets in the west immediately after sunset. After that the star is no longer visible for a period of about 70 days. It will reappear again, however, just before sunrise in the east. This reappearance is known as the heliacal rising of the star. In c. 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred exactly on the day of the summer solstice (21 June Gregorian). Precession has since caused that date to shift 45 days, and now the heliacal rising of Sirius occurs on the 5th August.
The striking conjunction of the heliacal rising of Sirius and the summer solstice in 3300 BC was, in itself, a powerful omen; but there was something else also occurring at the same time which, quite literally, caused the whole of Egypt to be reborn. This was the annual flooding of the Nile. Since the construction of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s, the annual flood of the Nile is fully controlled and regulated. But in ancient times (and until the turn of the late 19th century) the Nile would begin to swell in early June caused by the huge volume of water brought down river by the melting snows in the highlands of Central Africa. By late June the water would begin to spill over the banks to eventually flood the whole Nile Valley by end July. We know for certain that the ancient Egyptians considered the heliacal rising of Sirius to be the magical cause of the Nile Flood. The heliacal rising of Sirius became the celestial sign that marked the beginning of the New Year. There are many ancient texts which refer to the conjunction of the 'New Year', the summer solstice, the start of the Flood and the appearance of Sirius which shows that this event was of the utmost importance to the Egyptians. The oldest of these texts is carved on a small ivory tablet dated to the 1st Dynasty (c. 3100 BC) where it is said that "Sirius is the Opener of the Year's Flood". The very same notion is given in the Pyramid Texts (c. 2200 BC), where it is stated that: "It is Sirius, the beloved daughter (of Ra, the Sun-god), who prepares yearly sustenance (the flood) for you in her name of 'Year'". In his book Echoes of Ancient Skies, the archaeo-astronomer Dr. Ed Krupp writes that,
"After disappearing from the night sky (for 70 days) Sirius eventually reappears in the dawn, before the sun come up. The first time this occurs each year is called the star's heliacal rising, and on this day Sirius remains visible for only a short time before the sky gets too bright to see it. In ancient Egypt this annual reappearance of Sirius fell close to the summer solstice and coincided with the time of the Nile's inundation. Isis, as Sirius, was the 'Mistress of the Year's beginning', for the Egyptian new year was set by this event. New Year's ceremony texts at Dendera say Isis coaxes out the Nile and causes it to swell. The metaphor is astronomical, hydraulic, and sexual, and it parallels the function of Isis in the myth. Sirius revives the Nile just as Isis revives Osiris. Her time in hiding from Seth is when Sirius is gone (70 days) from the night sky. She (Isis) gives birth to her son Horus, as Sirius gives birth to the new year, and in the texts Horus and the new year are equated. She is the vehicle for renewal of life and order. Shining for a moment, one morning in summer, she stimulates the Nile and starts the year."
SIRIUS AND THE GREAT PYRAMID
It is known that on the east of the Great Pyramid once stood a building called the 'temple of Isis'. On the Inventory Stella dated to the 26th Dynasty, Isis is called "Mistress of the Pyramid". It is also possible that the capstone that once stood on the summit of this monument may have been associated in some way to Isis and Sirius. It has often been suggested that the Fifth Division of the Duat (afterworld) depicted in the Book of the Dead showing a giant double-sphinx guarding a huge pyramid may be a stylised representation of the Giza necropolis. If so, then an interesting association can be made, for the pyramid of the Fifth Division shows the 'Face of Isis' on the summit instead of the capstone.

Perhaps more convincing is the Egyptian name of Sirius itself, or rather the way it is written with three hieroglyphic signs, a five-pointed star, a half-circle and a small pointed triangle. According to E.C. Krupp:
"One last peculiarity of the Egyptian treatment of Sirius appears to link it, through the cult of Osiris, to the Pyramids. The hieroglyphic inscription of Sirius:
includes an obvious symbol of a star and two other symbols that may be related to the Benben. The half circle was used to signify the Benben. The long, thin triangle is most reminiscent of a pyramid, or perhaps an obelisk… Just as the Benben symbolised the emergence of existence from non-existence, of the birth of the world, so Sirius, as the Bennu (Phoenix), recommemorated creation by alighting upon the Benben, be it obelisk, observation platform or pyramid…"
The Benben which Krupp is referring to was a very sacred stone that was once kept in the 'Temple of the Phoenix' at Heliopolis and which served as a model for the capstones of monumental pyramids and obelisks, also called Benbens.

The 'Benben' (pyramidion) of the Great Pyramid has been missing since recorded history, and we cannot tell what it really looked like. It was probably made of black granite and covered with gold, possibly to symbolise the star. But perhaps the most convincing connection between the Great Pyramid and the star Sirius come from the interior design system of the pyramid. From each of the two main chambers of the Great Pyramid i.e. the King's Chamber and the Queen's Chamber, emanate two long and narrow shafts, one going due north and the other going due south. It has been known since 1964 that these shafts had astronomical alignments to the stars when the pyramid was completed in c. 2500 BC. Those of the King's Chamber were directed to the Pole Star Alpha Draconis (Thuban) in the north, and to the three stars of Orion's belt in the south. Over twenty years later, in 1987 I discovered that the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber was directed to Sirius. Such associations between the Great Pyramid and Sirius is not surprising, as the pyramid was almost certainly the agency of astral rebirth of the pharaonic cult modeled on the myth of Osiris and Isis.

THE CHANGING SKY
Throughout the ancient Egyptian civilisation the celebration of the birth of the divine child, Horus, from the womb of the goddess Isis was commemorated at the opening of the New Year when the star Sirius rose heliacally at dawn. But because of the effect of precession, the event shifted along the calendar at approximately the rate of 8.5 days every 1000 years. In 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 21 June (Gregorian) as seen from Giza. When Jesus was born the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 19 July, and today it occurs on the 5 August. Some three hundred years before the birth of Jesus, Egypt had fallen under the rule of the so-called Ptolemys, Greek-pharaohs who ruled Egypt from 305 BC until 30 BC, the last being Queen Cleopatra VII. During this period the capital city of Egypt moved to Alexandria, where the pseudo-Egyptian cult of Sarapis was installed. Sarapis was a synthetic god modeled on the Egyptian god Asar-Hapi (Osiris-Apis), a name meaning 'Osiris of the Nile'. Isis, quite naturally, became the consort of Sarapis and her cult flourished in Alexandria and the whole Mediterranean basin. It was adopted by many of the Roman legions and, through them, found its way into Western Europe. Temples of Isis have been found in Italy, France, Germany and as far as Oxford in England. Along with the cult of Isis also spread the celebration of the birth of Horus, called Hapocrates by the Greeks and identified to Apollo and Sol Invictus by the Romans. This event, as we have said, associated by the rising of the birth-star Sirius in the east at dawn. Interestingly, when Julius Caesar introduced the so-called Julian Calendar, it was the Alexandrian astronomer Sosigenes who converted for Caesar the old lunar calendar into a solar one. There can be little doubt that Sosigenes borrowed the idea from the Egyptians, who had a solar calendar since at least 3300 BC. This calendar, as we have seen, fixed the New Year with the heliacal rising of Sirius which, in Sosigenes' epoch, began in the month of 'July' and this, I would imagine, is probably why this particular month was named after Julius Caesar. His famous consort, the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, was also a high priestess of Isis and Caesar dedicated in her honour a temple in the Rome Forum. After the death of Cleopatra in 30 BC, Egypt became a Roman province, where there was a large Greek and Roman community in Alexandria as, more importantly, a great number of Jews who had fled Judea. With the rise of the newly formed Christianity in Egypt, the ancient mystery cult of the pharaohs that had mingled with those of the Greek and Romans, now also mingled with the Judeo-Christian ideologies.

The basic tenets of these older mystery cults rested on the belief that "immortality" was achieved through the initiatory teachings of a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and the symbolic re-enactment of his 'death' and 'rebirth'. The Phoenician Adonis, the Phrygian Attis, the Egyptian Osiris and the Alexandrian Sarapis, were all contenders for such a doctrine. The Romans furthermore had imported into Egypt the mystery cult of Mithras who also was a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and, more intriguingly, whose 'birthday" was celebrated at sunset on the 25th December. It is no wonder, therefore, that the early Christian community also celebrated the 'birth' of their own dying and resurrecting 'Son of God', Jesus, on the 25th December and with the idea of a nativity 'star in the east' to mark this supernatural event. But which star?
THE MADONNA AND CHILD
It is a strange peculiarity among the four canonical gospels that only one of them, the Gospel of Matthew, speaks of the birth of Jesus in relation to the appearance of a star in the east and the Magi. The Gospel of Matthew is also unique in its narrative of the 'flight into Egypt' by the Holy Family. But if these event are historically true, then why are the other Gospels so conspicuously silent on such a crucial and important event in the birth of the Messiah? Could it be that the event was not 'historical' at all but mythical? It has long been believed by scholars that the 'Matthew' Gospel was probably written between 40 and 80 AD in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. Now in Alexandria at the time of the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel, the celebration of the new day and the new year were not anymore observed at dawn but at sunset to conform with both the Judeo-Christian tradition and Roman traditions of marking such events at sunset. In consideration of this, let us examine the sky at sunset looking east on the 25th December in c. 50 AD (the average date for the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel) as seen from the latitude of Alexandria.

Curiously, the starry picture that is afforded is exactly the same as that seen in ancient Egypt in c. 3300 BC at DAWN when the 'birth' of Horus from the womb of Isis was celebrated by the heliacal rising of Sirius. Here is what an observer in Egypt would have witnessed:
At about 4 h 28 GMT, the sun begins to set in the west at 28 degrees N of W.
Some 35 minutes later, at about 5 h 03 GMT, the sun has fully set in the west. In the east, at exactly the same time, Orion's belt sits on horizon, about 2 degrees S of E.
A further 51 minutes, at 5 h 54 GMT, the sun has gone down about - 10 degrees below the western horizon, and the sky is now dark enough to see the stars with the naked eye. Looking east at exactly the same time, the star Sirius is seen rising in the east (Orion's belt is now about 25 degrees higher up over the eastern horizon, giving the illusion that it has 'heralded' the rising of Sirius).
The celestial imagery, therefore, is that on the 25th December, right after sunset, the three stars of Orion's belt were seen rising in the east as if to 'herald' the coming of the birth-star Sirius, which followed about one hour after. It would be very unlikely that such a powerful celestial sign which was known to denote the 'birth of the divine child' in Egypt since time immemorial would not have been unnoticed by the writer of the 'Matthew' Gospel. It seems evident that the introduction of a new divine child (Jesus) born from the Madonna (Mary) in Egypt and the Graeco-Roman world would benefit greatly by absorbing the older and very powerful mythology of Isis and her star, Sirius.

Thus Isis and the child Horus were metamorphosed into the Madonna and child Jesus, and the star Sirius became the 'Star of the East' which the wise men saw and heralded the birth of Jesus. Much later, three wise men became known as the 'three kings' in Western tradition and, in keeping with stellar symbolism, they also became identified to the three stars of Orion's belt. In his book Star Names: Their Lore and Meaning, the astronomer Richard H. Allen states that in European folklore the three stars in Orion's belt are often called the Magi or the Three Kings. And the Christian mythologist, Alvin Boyd Kuhn wrote:
"There is the legend of the 'Three Kings of the Orient' who came on Christmas to adorn the new-born God… from days of old the Three Kings were the three conspicuous stars in the belt of Orion… that so easily distinguishes this notable constellation… and their title was for long the Three Kings of Orion… They point almost in a direct line to the following…Sirius (which) was made in the type of Christ-soul in mankind. (Sirius) is preceded by the Three Kings who anticipate its coming (rising)…"
Kuhn then proceeds to give a variant of the popular Christmas carol:
"We three kings of Orion are, bearing gifts we traverse afar, fields and fountains, moors and mountains, following yonder star…"
Today, in our modern calendar, we celebrate the changing of the New Year at midnight on the 31st December. It is a strange synchronicity that at exactly that time, for the year 1999 and 2000 the star Sirius reaches it culmination at the meridian. The Egyptian authorities had planned to place a golden capstone on the summit of the Great Pyramid at midnight on the 31st December 1999, to mark the start of the new age. The idea was to have a 4 meters high pyramidion made of light metal covered with gold sheet lowered into place by a military helicopter, and laser beams reflected on its surface during a concert performed by French musician Jean-Michel Jarre. This event, however, was cancelled at the last minute due to pressure from the Arab press which claimed a "Masonic" connotation with the glowing capstone seen on the US one-dollar bill. The full implications of this curious affair are discussed in my new book, Secret Chamber (Century Books, 1999) and in an article entitled "The Great Pyramid and the Freemasons" (HERA magazine Issue 2 February 2000).
Had the placing of the capstone ceremony taken place, the whole event would have been a spectacular "reunion" of Sirius and its symbol to mark the new millennium. For as seen from the north face of the Great Pyramid and in alignment with the North-South axis (i.e. along the meridian), the star Sirius would appear to hover on top of the summit of the pyramid at precisely midnight on the 31st December, as if to urge us that its principal symbol, the golden capstone, has been missing for far too long. In many esoteric traditions the capstone of the Great Pyramid, and more especially its return to the summit of the Great Pyramid, will signal the return of the 'great initiate' which, according to some prophecies, such as those of Edgar Cayce, signifies the return of the Christ. Many have argued that the true start of the new millennium is, in fact, 31st December 2000. If so, then the Egyptian authorities still have another opportunity to perform this powerful and evoking ceremony. What better signal than the ancient star of 'divine rebirth' seen hovering over the golden capstone on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza to symbolise the start of a new spiritual age for Humankind.

”La Misión de Sirio es responsable, sólo de la supervisión de vuestra Galaxia de la Vía Láctea… la Misión de Sirio es responsable de reunir los sistemas solares, dentro de sí mismos, como una necesidad del Campo Unificado… (“por el Comando del Sistema Central, Aviso de la Sección de la Unificación de la Materia,” Postulados 40 y 42, El Libro del Conocimiento, p. 146).
Esta información, acerca de Sirio, nos taladra directamente en el Alto Comando de Sirio, dándonos una nueva comprensión entera de la Ley del Tiempo y del sistema Maya Galáctico de matemáticas y de sincronización del tiempo. Es evidente, el sincronario de 13 Lunas de 28 días es el perfecto instrumento para sincronizar los ciclos de 52 años, porque sincroniza perfectamente con el medidor de tiempo cuatridimensional de 260 días, para crear ciclos de permutación de 52 años. 73 x 260 Días = 52 x 365 días= 18. 980 días = 52 años = una Rotación de Sirio B alrededor de Sirio A. El Ciclo Solar-Galáctico de 52 años, es realmente el ciclo Siriano. Esto tiene muchas implicaciones, como arrojar luz, sobre el porqué los Mayas Galácticos introdujeron el ciclo 52 años – como un medio, para afinar la conciencia humana, con la más alta frecuencia vibracional y con el canal del Consejo de Sirio.
Como, con todos los métodos históricos y las religiones, el alto nivel del llamado de los Mayas Galácticos no fue mantenido, y así, en 1987, una nueva dispensación tuvo que ocurrir. Así, como El Libro del Conocimiento es para reemplazar, aunque no invalida el Corán, así, la nueva dispensación Maya Galáctica, llamada el Encantamiento del Sueño, fue para reemplazar, aunque no, para invalidar el tradicional calendario Maya o la Cuenta Larga, que, por este tiempo, no estaba utilizando, por más tiempo, el ciclo de 52 años.
Interesantemente, un mayor ciclo profético de 22 de los ciclos Sirianos de 52 años, fue concluido en 1987. Este ciclo profético transcurrió, del año 843 DA a 1987 DA. La conclusión de este ciclo de profecía – Los 13 Cielos y los Nueve Infiernos – señaló el momento, para una nueva dispensación del tiempo. De ahí, con el Encantamiento del Sueño y el sincronario de 13 Lunas de 28 días, los ciclos de 52 años del Nuevo Sirio tienen su punto de comienzo, el 26 de Julio 1987, y corren ad infinitum, hacia el futuro, preparando la mente humana, con una conciencia del Nuevo Tiempo, para la Era Dorada.
La fecha de sincronización del 26 de julio del nuevo calendario, conmemorada por un tiempo, en la tradición del Chilam Balam, fue revelada como el punto natural de comienzo de la nueva dispensación, porque, en tiempos remotos, se registró el día, cuando Sirio estaba en conjunción con el surgimiento del sol. En el Encantamiento del Sueño, los ciclos de 52 años son también llamados, ciclos solar-galácticos. Ahora, esa significación tiene más sentido, porque registra precisamente la órbita de Sirio B alrededor de Sirio A, en sincronización con el ciclo solar-lunar del sincronario de 13 Lunas de 28 días. Siguiendo la nueva medida de 13 Lunas de 28 días, estamos elevando nuestras mentes y cuerpos a estar en sincronización solar-galáctica, con la conciencia del Consejo de Sirio, como es simultáneamente registrado, en las órbitas, tanto de Sirio B, como de nuestro planeta.
De todo esto, concluimos, entre otras cosas, que el 52 es el número del código de Sirio – lo cual es también, el porqué hay 52 semanas en el año. Las 52 semanas (héptadas) son un fractal del ciclo 52 años. Esto, por supuesto, también se refiere a la importancia del 7, en relación al 52, cuando la semana es un ciclo de siete días, y el siete, originalmente, se refería a los siete días de la creación. 52 x 7 = 364 + 1 = 365 x 52 = 1 órbita de Sirio B. Como sabemos, en el nuevo calendario, el 365º día del año es el “día fuera de tiempo” – ningún día de la semana o del mes, y, por lo tanto, el día perfecto, para celebrar el amor, la tolerancia, el perdón universal, y el principio del tiempo es arte. Ya que, este día siempre cae el 25 de julio, podemos también decir, que éste es el día, para celebrar el amanecer de la conciencia cuatridimensional Siriana, en la Tierra. Esto es preliminar, a entrar en el conjunto de la civilización cósmica, a ocurrir después del 2013.
Seriamente Conciencia más Elevada: Sirio B es por Beta , Sirio A es por Alfa
Colocándose, en la medida del sincronario de 13 lunas de 28 días, y sus precisos ciclos de 52 años/anillos orbitales, el humano está sincronizado con el doble ciclo estelar Siriano del universo, elevándolo hacia una conciencia y orden de realidad, verdaderamente cósmico-galácticos. La raíz de esta consciencia seriamente más elevada, es la relación de Sirio B con Sirio A. Sirio B, es por Beta, y Sirio A, es por Alfa. El Alfa es lo primario, el Beta es lo secundario. Mientras, Alfa es también, uno de los siete plasmas radiales, Beta es un superagente unificador. Estos factores definen el doble ciclo estelar del Universo, como un campo arquetípico de resonancia, entre dos cuerpos celestes de diferentes proporciones, sinergetizándose cada uno con el otro, para crear un mayor campo de conciencia cósmica y energía plásmica. Esta descripción arroja luz sobre la afirmación: “Durante el tiempo del Orden Jerárquico, desde donde las Corrientes Cósmicas directas caían directamente sobre la órbita de tu planeta, el Despertar Cósmico correspondía principalmente a estas edades {ciclos de 52 años}. ”
El Libro del Conocimiento, a menudo, habla del futuro. Sabemos, por el Encantamiento del Sueño, que, rayos de las Corrientes Cósmicas están, aún, cayendo sobre la órbita planetaria. Esto significa, que el ciclo solar galáctico de 52 años es emitido directamente, como una transmisión Siriana hacia la órbita solar de V. 24.3. Después de 1987, esta transmisión de doble emisión estelar de Sirio del Universo fue bajada, como el Encantamiento del Sueño – el código de Sirio revelado.
El conocimiento del Encantamiento del Sueño es la verificación del propósito Siriano, de trabajar en nuestra órbita planetaria, en un momento muy crítico, en el tiempo: “… La Misión de Sirio es la de ser el responsable de unir los sistemas solares, dentro de sí mismos, como una necesidad del Campo Unificado. ” Como cualquier estudiante del Encantamiento del Sueño sabe, él existe claramente, para la unificación del sistema solar, incluyendo los códigos de los Planetas Perdidos. Esto es perfectamente ejemplificado, por el código planetario 0-19 del tablero de Viaje. Esto también significa, que, a través del Encantamiento del Sueño, nuestro sistema solar está unificado con el comando Siriano, como una necesidad del Campo Unificado.
También, observa, que el mínimo fractal de Sirio es el Castillo del Encantamiento del Sueño de 52 kines del Módulo Armónico de 260 unidades – cinco castillos por un giro galáctico (cuatridimensional). En el ciclo solar galáctico de 52 años, hay 365 castillos de 52 días – así, como en el anillo orbital solar de un año, hay 52 semanas de 365 días. De allí, la equivalencia fractal del anillo solar de 365 días de 52 semanas, con la órbita galáctica de Sirio Beta de 52 años terrestres de 365 castillos.

Lo Concerniente a la Fuente de información del Código de Sirio
La fuente de la información, en relación al ciclo de 52 años de Sirio, es El Libro del Conocimiento. Esta transmisión sin precedentes y única – 1111 páginas en la edición inglesa (también traducido al ruso, alemán, francés y, más recientemente, al español) – es el resultado de la perseverante dedicación de V. Bulent Onsu Corak. Una mujer Turca, nacida en 1923, Bulent Corak, primero estuvo en contacto con canales de más elevada conciencia, en 1966. Ella empezó, recibiendo muchas transmisiones a través del “canal Alfa. ” Empezando, en 1981, ella fue instruida para reunir las comunicaciones en marcha, en la forma del Libro del Conocimiento.

La perspectiva presentada, en el Libro del Conocimiento, es vasta y organizada, por una jerarquía espiritual dimensional más alta. En esta cadena jerárquica de comando, la Misión de Sirio, el peldaño más inferior del sistema de ordenanzas, tiene la responsabilidad, entre otros deberes, de administrar el Plan Divino, para proyectar los puntos focales, y como se afirmó arriba, de unificar los sistemas solares en el Camino de la Unificación.
Una nota final, en relación al código 52 de Sirio y el poder del 7 (7 x 7): si el 52 es tomado como el número del Código de Sirio, en el Corán, el suras 52, Al-tur, tiene 49(o 7 x 7) versos (49 = el poder de 7 x 52 = 364 + 1 = 365, fractal del ciclo de Sirio Beta). En el verso 52:49, se lee: “Y, en parte de la noche, oradle a Él. Y, al retiro de las estrellas . ” Esta es una referencia implícita a Sirio. El mismo siguiente Sura 53, el llamado: “La Estrella. ” (Suras 53 = kin 53-Quetzalcoatl). Si vamos luego, del verso 49, Sura 52, al verso 49, Sura 53, entonces tenemos la referencia vinculada, haciendo lo implícito, explícito.
”Que Él Es el Señor de Sirio, la Estrella Poderosa. ” Corán, 53:49. Este es el único verso, en todo el Corán, en que una estrella es mencionada por el nombre.
(La traducción de Yousef Ali. Es interesante, que en este verso 53:49, en virtualmente todas las otras traducciones al inglés, Sirio sea mencionado por el nombre. Rashad Khalifa sólo evita usar el nombre de Sirio, aunque en árabe, que es en lo que está escrito. En cambio, en la traducción de Khalifa del verso 53:49, se lee: “É es el Señor de las galaxias. ” Sin embargo, es interesante, que es la doble estrella Sirio, la que coordina la galaxia de la Vía Láctea).
Más Códigos de Sirio, 52:7
En el Mapa Estelar Interdimensional de los Mayas Galácticos, Sirio es el código posicional 9, mediado por Hunabku, número de código 12, “El Templo,” y en un canal directo, debajo de la Fuente Omnigaláctica, número de código 13. Sirio es el primer orden estelar, debajo del Orden Galáctico de Hunabku, el que está directamente debajo de la Fuente Omnigaláctica, el Preeminente Poder Omnidirectivo del UNO. El 9 de Sirio, multiplicado por el 12 de Hunabku, “el Templo” = 108, “El Templo de Sirio,” el código de la transmisión Maya Galáctica, GM108X. Pero, son el poder del 9 de Sirio y el 13 Omnigaláctico – los que son las raíces del Bolontiku y del Oxlahuntiku. El 13 y el 9 producen el código clave, el número 22.
Entre otras cosas, el 22 (9 + 13) significa: los ciclos de los 13 Cielos y los Nueve Infiernos de la profecía de Quetzalcoatl; la dedicación de la tumba, en la cuenca larga 9.13.0.0. 0, y el kin 22, Viento Solar Blanco, la fuerza solar-cósmica, que inicia cada nueva etapa de la evolución terrestre. Lo más importante, es el poder posicional del 9 de Sirio, que designa el origen del Bolontiku, los maestros galácticos descendidos ahora, que coordinan la órbita terrestre, con la frecuencia orbital de Sirio Beta.
En el programa de los maestros Galácticos del ser infinito, cada uno de los siete generadores psíquicos (chakras) es potenciado por 52 flujos – 13 rojos, 13 blancos, 13 azules y 13 amarillos, para un total de 364 flujos. El 365º flujo es el Canal Central, que conecta los siete generadores plásmicos. El sistema plenamente activado reconstituye al Maestro Galáctico, en un Cuerpo de Tiempo Siriano. Los dos nuevos chakras – el Corona de la Corona y en raíz de la raíz – están aparte de este sistema, o, más exactamente, ellos son activados por el espín, generando los 364 flujos, en pleno movimiento, a través del 365avo flujo, o canal central.
12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, 13 that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it? 14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features stand out like those of a garment. 15 The wicked are denied their light, and their upraised arm is broken. God is now talking about the appearance of dawn every day. Job has no control over the appearance of the morning, even though there were pagans in ancient times who made sacrifices to ensure that dawn would return every day. The image of the passage revolves around the word “wicked” in verses 13 and 15. In verse 13, the wicked are shaken off the earth like crumbs from a tablecloth. In verse 15, the wicked are denied the cover of darkness. A robber seems to be pictured with his arm up in the air just as light breaks in the east. His “light” (which is darkness, the thing that enables him to do his wicked work) is denied him as the true light of day brightens the world and shows the truth of things as they are. “Like clay under a seal,” the morning light shows us what is really there all around us.
The light of God was new on the first day of creation, and the return of the light every day reminds us that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). His justice is as constant as the return of the sun each day (Zephaniah 3:5).
A Hebrew Oddity:
Some time after the time of Christ (and the Dead Sea Scrolls) but before 500 AD, a few unusual markings were put into manuscript copies of the Hebrew Bible. These included four places where a letter in the text was raised slightly. One is in Judges 18:30 (where an n was put into the middle of the name of Moses—I’ll talk about that in our devotions on Judges in the future). Another is in Psalm 80:14 in the word “forest.” I have no explanation for that case.
The other two are here in Job 38:13-15 in the word rashaʻim רשעים “wicked.” The letter ayin (a y-shaped letter) is raised both times the word wicked occurs in verses 13 and 15. This seems to show that the older scribes were not sure about the word “wicked” here. The word rashaʻim usually means wicked, but in this case it might be the name of a star or constellation—whose light would also be “denied” at dawn. One suggestion is that this might be a reference to Sirius, the Dog Star, one of the last stars to vanish in the morning light because of its brightness. This is probably because of the Arabic name of Sirius, Ash-Shira, “the Leader.” Some think that Ash-Shira sounds a little like the word rashaʻim, but unless the Hebrew term (which we don’t have) was different than the Arabic, it’s doubtful that this is a good explanation.
Another suggestion along the same lines is that the “upraised arm” in verse 15 could be a constellation that was once called “the Navigator’s Line,” a string of stars to the left of Orion including Sirius, Procyon, and the twin stars Castor and Pollux. Perhaps this focus on constellations is due to the reference to other constellations coming up later in the chapter (Job 38:31-32).
Four or five hundred years after these letters began to be written in this superscript way, a group of Hebrew Scribes called the Masoretes made careful notes about the text of the Old Testament, but by the time of the Masoretes, the reason for the raised letters had been forgotten. There is no good explanation I have found for all four cases of these raised letters. The letters are part of the inspired text, but the raised placement of the letters is not.

The Sirius Star System as the Source of Creation
Scientific, linguistic, and mythological evidence places the Sirius star system, Sirius A and Sirius B, at the origin of the creation.
Eastern and western mythological and religious traditions agree that a primal sound, a Word, is the origin of the creation. Quantum physics also agrees that vibration (sound) is the essence of all forms in the creation.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through Him, and without him was not anything made that was made.” – Bible, John 1:1
The Rig Veda and the Vedic Sanskrit tradition revealed long ago that this primal sound, this Word of God, is AUM.
OM and AUM are the same. In Vedic Sanskrit, O is the vowel combination AU.
The acoustics and mythology of the Sirius Star System will reveal the truth concerning this Word of God.
All celestial objects, including Sirius A and B, are moving in helical spirals, and generate tones and sounds.
With the computer’s help, we can hear the perfect harmony generated by the orbital sounds of our own planetary system, the harmony of the spheres, as predicted by Johannes Kepler in the sixteenth century. Kepler said:
“. . . we should not be surprised that men have discovered the beautiful, effective succession of tones in the musical modes, when we see that in doing so, they are imitating God’s work by bringing down to earth the sounds of the celestial motions.”

The computer also allows us to transpose into audible range and hear the orbital sounds of atoms, and their sound combinations as molecules.
How is AUM generated by Sirius A and B, and how is it said correctly?
The three sounds and tones of AUM are generated by the individual orbits and double helical spiral shaped linear motion of Sirius A and B in the same way as the harmony of the orbital sounds of our planetary system, and happens in the following way.
1. The A is generated by Sirius B’s orbital motion, and is said like the a in America, uh, in the tone F. 2. The U is generated by Sirius A’s orbital motion, and is said like the u in tune in F#. 3. The M is generated by their combined double-helix linear motion, and is said in the tone G.
Their combined linear motion produces the nasalated M in the tone G, completing the three sounds and tones of AUM.
The picture below shows the actual orbits and double helical linear pathway of Sirius A and B, and how these motions generate the three sounds and tones of AUM.
Because the orbits and double helical linear motion of Sirius A and B produce the three sounds and tones of AUM in the F, F#, G, tritone, the question arises:
Why the F, F#, G, Tritone?
The F, F#, G, tritone is the fabled quintessence of the alchemists, who said that this sound accompanies all creative processes, including, of course, the creation of the universe. They are correct. AUM is the quintessential creative sound, the Word of God that was in the beginning.
The F, F#, G, tritone of AUM is the creative sound that accompanies the miracles of:
A. Creation: AUM is the fractal sound pattern of the Big Bang. B. Cell division (mitosis): when the DNA makes a copy of itself and checks it for errors. C. Photosynthesis: when light becomes living matter.

From the single DNA molecule we all once were, our entire organism has unfolded by way of the F, F#, G, tritone of AUM.
Saying AUM correctly in the creative tritone induces resonance in the soft palate in the roof of our mouth, and transfers this resonance to our pineal gland, which sits directly above the soft palate.
The specific resonance induced by saying AUM in the F, F#, G, tritone, causes our pineal gland to secrete dimethyltryptamine into our blood. Dimethyltryptamine is a powerful mind-manifesting, visionary, and meditative substance.
Our pineal gland is known as our third eye, and is recognized as a connecting point between our physical and spiritual being. This sound resonance connection to our pineal gland was designed into our DNA by the Creator.
By saying AUM in the F, F#, G, tritone, we are creating the fractal sound formula of our own DNA, and consciously activating our pineal gland (our third eye) using sound resonance.
The miraculous and creative F, F#, G, tritone of AUM is the only sound ever banned by the Catholic Church, who declared it to be the diablos en musica, the devil in music.
Because AUM cannot be said correctly without using the tritone, the Catholic Church has in effect banned the Word of God.
When contacted, Catholic Church authorities were unable to explain or offer any reason. In any case, they do not want us to say the Word of God, and access the visionary consciousness that was designed into our being by the Creator.
What other evidence shows AUM coming from Sirius?
The classic iconic imagery of Asia has always shown AUM radiating from the star Sirius.

The Sanskrit word tara, meaning star is one of the Goddess’ thousand names, and applies specifically to Sirius, the brightest star. Tara is synonymous with AUM.
The Sanskrit-English Dictionary, Clarendon Press, Oxford, 1899, defines ‘tara‘ as 1. the mystic syllable AUM, and 2. star or asterism.
The Goddess, (Sirius A), is verybright. Her male counter-part, (Sirius B), is totally invisible without a telescope), and is also very heavy (he is the size of the Earth, but weighs as much as the Sun). He is the brightest X-ray source in the sky, and is known as the God who sees through everything.
Sometimes Shiv(a) is shown standing with AUM behind him. AUM is in fact, behind His image. He is an icon (eye-con) of AUM.
His first orbital movement caused the first sound in the progression of orbital movements and sounds that is AUM.
The name of the blue God in Sanskrit, is Shiv, meaning orbit, hem, or border, in reference to Sirius B’s orbit.
The Dogon people of Mali, West Africa know that Sirius B’s orbit is the source of creation.
Sirius A and Sirius B are the origin of the Yin and Yang symbol, they are the Yin and Yang. They are two parts of one thing, and the source of AUM, the sound that created the universe.
Far into pre-history, the religions and mythologies of the world have given divine status to Sirius A and Sirius B as the star forms of the God and Goddess. Sirius A as the Goddess, in red, and Sirius B as the God, in blue.
Sirius plays a large role in the life of Jesus. Sirius is known as the Morning Star. In the Bible, Jesus says, “I am the bright Morning Star.” Rev. 22:16. The Three Wise Men, the Magi of Persia, were followers of the star Sirius. Upon their arrival in Jerusalem to attend the birth of Jesus, the Magi said in court, “We have seen His Star in the east” Matthew 2:2.
Is Jesus Sirius? Does Jesus in some real way personify AUM, this Word of God in the sky? Jesus said he was the Alpha and Omega, the first and last sound. AHA.
AUM is also known to be the origin of the fifty sounds of the Vedic Sanskrit language. These fifty sounds are shown distributed throughout the Sri Yantra. Vedic Sanskrit is the language of the hymns of the Rig Veda, and is the visionary Mother Tongue of the planet.

Anteriormente a los romanos, 300 años antes del nacimiento de Jesús, Alejandro Magno murió sin descendencia, por lo que su imperio se dividió entre sus generales, siendo Ptolomeo el que quedó a cargo del país de las pirámides. Surgieron nuevos dioses como el adorado Serapis, dios artificial creado a partir del dios egipcio Asar-Hapis (Osiris-Apis), que pasó a ser el esposo de Isis, cuyo culto se desarrolló por todo el Mediterráneo. La adoración a Isis llevó consigo la celebración del nacimiento de Horus, conocido como Harpócrates por los griegos e identificado on ÇApolo y el Sol Invictus por los romanos.

Tras la muerte de Cleopatra (30 a.C.), quien fue una alta sacerdotisa de Isis, Egipto se convirtió en una provincia romana. Alejandría, capital cultural de Egipto, reunía una gran cantidad de filósofos griegos, romanos y judíos escapados de Judea, que fueron desarrollando un culto común en la creencia de que la inmortalidad se conseguía gracias a la iniciación de un “Hijo de Dios muerto y resucitado”, en donde la muerte y el renacimiento era simbolizado por el nacimiento de Horus. El Adonis fenicio, el Attis frigio, el Osiris Egipcio, el Serapis alejandrino todos ellos fueron hijos de dios. Los romanos habían importado de Egipto el culto de Mitra, “Hijo de Dios muerto y resucitado”, cuyo cumpleaños se celebraba el 25 de diciembre.
Con este escenario de creencias hace aparición en Alejandría el cristianismo. La fecha del nacimiento de Mitra fue adoptada por los primeros cristianos como fecha del nacimiento de Jesús, hecho asociado a la señal en el cielo que marcaba una estrella de oriente. Pese que el apóstol que evangelizó Egipto fue Marcos, padre de la iglesia copta, es el evangelio de Mateo el único que nos habla del viaje realizado por la Sagrada Familia a Egipto. Los expertos aseguran que dicho evangelio fue escrito en Alejandría entre los años 40 y 80 d.C. por personas que no podían mantenerse ausentes de los acontecimientos astronómicos que se celebraban desde los antiguos egipcios. Por aquellas fechas en la noche del 25 de diciembre se podía ver ascender por el horizonte las tres estrellas del cinturón de Orión, los tres “reyes” que antecedían la salida de la estrella de oriente, Sirio, que si antiguamente simbolizaba a Isis de la que nació Horus, se transformo en época cristiana en la Madona que daba luz al niño Jesús. Las tres estrellas se convirtieron en la tradición en los Reyes Magos de Oriente.
Por el efecto de la precesión de los equinoccios, la estrella Sirio permanece 72 días al año bajo el horizonte, por lo que no se puede ver. Después de este periodo la estrella vuelve a verse, momento en que se conmemoraba en el Antiguo Egipto el año nuevo. La simbología era la del nacimiento del Horus divino desde el vientre de su madre Isis, representada por dicha estrella. El acontecimiento astronómico varía 8,5 días cada 1000 años. Actualmente el orto helíaco de Sirio se produce el día 5 de agosto, mientras que época de Jesús el hecho se producía el 19 de julio. Es por ello por lo que cuando los romanos cambiaron su calendario lunar a otro solar, de la mano del astrónomo alejandrino Sosígenes, se nombró al mes de salida de la estrella de Sirio con el nombre de Julio César, en ese nuevo calendario “juliano” que no era otra cosa que la continuidad que tuvieron los egipcios durante 3300 años a la hora de medir el tiempo.

El misterio del nacimiento de Horus, nacido de la virgen Isis, tenía por tanto continuidad en la liturgia cristiana, ideas tradicionalmente aceptadas que favorecieron la expansión del cristianismo en tierras egipcias. Un concepto de muerte y resurrección que ha llegado hasta nuestros días ya que, por azares del destino o por causalidades misteriosas, en la pasada noche del 31 de diciembre del año 1.999, cuando todo el mundo se preparaba para la festividad de la entrada del tercer milenio, Sirio marcaba su culminación en el meridiano. Si el helicóptero hubiera colocado (cosa que al final no ocurrió) el piramidión dorado sobre la cúspide truncada de la Gran Pirámide, se podría haber visto mirando desde la cara norte del monumento a Sirio colocado sobre la cúspide, alineado correctamente con el canal sur de ventilación de la cámara de la Reina. Es seguro que muchas sociedades secretas, que muchos estudiosos de los cultos isíacos, considerasen ese momento como el que anunciara la segunda venida de Horus, o de Jesucristo.
Resulta curioso que el único de los discípulos que visitó Egipto fuese Marcos, cuando el único que en los evangelios habla de Egipto fuese Mateo. La tradición oculta esotérica, recogida en sectores de librepensadores, afirma que si por un lado Mateo configuraba las normas de la Iglesia Marcos ofrecía un cristianismo que fue acogido por las corrientes gnósticas.
Hasta el nacimiento del cristianismo todos los adeptos a las diferentes liturgias debían pasar por una iniciación más o menos extensa. El cristianismo rompió esa tradición ya que para pertenecer al grupo sólo se debía profesar la creencia como acto de fe. Fue entonces cuando se produjo la ruptura entre los que, como los antiguos egipcios, el conocimiento era el camino hacia la iluminación, y los que dejaban en manos de la incipiente Iglesia su “salvación”. Una diferenciación que, a lo largo del tiempo, se convirtió en verdaderas persecuciones de los poderosos contra los sectarios y produjo el oscurantismo religioso y científico cuyos flecos han llegado hasta nuestros días pese a los esfuerzos realizados durante el Renacimiento.
En Alejandría se gestó, o pudo gestarse el pensamiento que ha predominado los últimos dos milenios. Los sabios que moraban en sus casas tuvieron la capacidad de combinar el hábito por la meditación con el desarrollo de la cosa pública, algo que iba en contra de unos poderes a los que no interesaba que el pueblo tuviera un acceso a la divinidad distinto al que propocionaba sus arcas. Y cuando en marzo del año 415 los cristianos enardecidos por el patriarca de Alejandría asesinaron a Hipatia no sólo acabaron con la mujer más notable de la Antigüedad, sino que obligaron a los herederos de la filosofía griega, a los seguidores de Horus, a refugiar su culto a ojos profanos. En Belén nació Jesús, en Alejandría volvió a nacer, como lo había hecho varias veces a lo largo de los tiempos.
The brightest of all the fixed stars is Sirius. Known to astronomers as Alpha Canis Major, it is the principal star of the constellation Canis Major (the Big Dog). The ancient Egyptians called it Septit, the Hebrews knew it as Sihor, to the Greeks as Sothis and also as the "the Dog Star" that followed Orion the Hunter. Sirius has a magnitude of -1.42, which makes it nine times more brilliant than a standard first magnitude star. It can even been seen in daylight with a telescope having an aperture of 12 mm.

Its colour is a brilliant white with a tinge of blue and purple. Sometimes when atmospheric conditions are right, Sirius will scintillate with all the colours of the rainbow when seen low on the horizon. Classified as a type 'A1' star, Sirius is 23 times as bright as our sun and has almost twice its diameter. Being only 8.7 light-years away, Sirius is the fifth nearest star to our solar system, and the nearest after Alpha Centauri among the naked eye stars. Because of this, Sirius has a very high apparent proper motion of -1.21 arc seconds per year. Some 100,000 years ago it was near Cancer on the 'east' side of the Milky Way. Since then it has crossed the Milky Way and now rests on its 'west' bank. In the last 2000 years, for example, the position of Sirius has shifted some 45 arc minutes (almost half a degree) which is about one-and-a-half times the apparent size of the moon.

Throughout recorded history, and probably long before, Sirius was the subject of much veneration and myth making throughout the world. Even as late as the 1970s it became the subject of a very controversial theory linked to extra-terrestrials and the Dogon tribe of Mali published by the scholar and author Robert Temple. There is much speculation on the origin of its modern name which is generally thought to be derived from the Greek word "Sirio" meaning "scorching" or "sparkling", apparently because it rose in the height of the summer heat. Some etymologists, however, have suggested a connection with the ancient Egyptian god Osiris. But of all the various names and epithets that this star was given, none can match the notoriety of its role in history as the "Star of Isis".
Since earliest times the ancient Egyptian paid particular attention to Sirius, which they identified to the 'soul' of the Goddess Isis. There was a time, very long ago, that Sirius could not be seen in the sky from Egypt. This was because of a phenomenon known as the Precession of the Equinoxes. The Precession is a very slow wobble of our planet taking the polar axis of the Earth in a circular swing of 47 degrees every 26,000 years. The general effect is that the stellar landscape appears to swing up and down like a pendulum. Before the 12th millennium BC Sirius was below the horizon line as seen from the region of Cairo/Giza. It made its first appearance in the skies at that place in c.10,500 BC. Then it had a declination of about 58 degrees 43', which meant it would have just been visible in the south about 1.5 degree above the horizon line. For early man to witnessing the 'birth' of such a bright star must have been a very impressive sight rich with meaning and messages from the gods. Also the rising of Sirius occurred when the constellation of Virgo was rising in the east, which may partly explain why the star became the symbol of a virgin-goddess. We do not know when exactly Sirius became identified to the goddess Isis, but the idea certainly goes back to the origin of Egyptian culture. It was from the 'womb' of Isis-Sirius that was born the divine child, Horus.

The conception and birth of Horus occurred in a magical way as told in the myth of Isis and Osiris:
"HORUS WHO IS IN SIRIUS"
Isis and Osiris were among the four children born from the womb of the sky-goddess, Nut and fathered by Ra, the sungod. The other two children were Seth and Nephtys. Osiris took Isis as his wife, and they became the first rulers of Egypt. At the age of 28 Osiris was brutally killed by his jealous brother Seth and his body cut into fourteen pieces. Isis recovered all of the pieces of Osiris' body except the phallus, which she could not find. Isis fashioned an artificial phallus for Osiris, placed herself on it in the form of a kite, and became pregnant with his seed. She then went into hiding in the marshes of the Nile, and gave birth to Horus. From the Pyramid Texts and various other religious writings, it is clear that this myth has its counterpart in the stars, with Isis identified to Sirius and Osiris to the constellation of Orion. In the Pyramid Texts it is said of Osiris-Orion:
"Your sister Isis comes to you rejoicing for love of you. You have placed her on your phallus and your seed issues in her, she being ready as Sirius, and Horus Sopd (a star) has come forth from you as Horus who is in Sirius…" [Pyr. Text line 632]

Recreating the ancient skies of the early Dynastic Era (c.3300 BC) which took place just before the great Pyramid Age (c.2750 - 2100 BC) we find that the star Sirius performed a very evocative cycle in the heavens which readily explains why it was associated to a magical birth.
Because the earth moves around the sun, the fixed background of the stars appears to shift throughout the year in relation to the sun. Yearly observations of Sirius, for example, would show that there is a time when the star sets in the west immediately after sunset. After that the star is no longer visible for a period of about 70 days. It will reappear again, however, just before sunrise in the east. This reappearance is known as the heliacal rising of the star. In c. 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred exactly on the day of the summer solstice (21 June Gregorian). Precession has since caused that date to shift 45 days, and now the heliacal rising of Sirius occurs on the 5th August.
The striking conjunction of the heliacal rising of Sirius and the summer solstice in 3300 BC was, in itself, a powerful omen; but there was something else also occurring at the same time which, quite literally, caused the whole of Egypt to be reborn. This was the annual flooding of the Nile. Since the construction of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s, the annual flood of the Nile is fully controlled and regulated. But in ancient times (and until the turn of the late 19th century) the Nile would begin to swell in early June caused by the huge volume of water brought down river by the melting snows in the highlands of Central Africa. By late June the water would begin to spill over the banks to eventually flood the whole Nile Valley by end July. We know for certain that the ancient Egyptians considered the heliacal rising of Sirius to be the magical cause of the Nile Flood. The heliacal rising of Sirius became the celestial sign that marked the beginning of the New Year. There are many ancient texts which refer to the conjunction of the 'New Year', the summer solstice, the start of the Flood and the appearance of Sirius which shows that this event was of the utmost importance to the Egyptians. The oldest of these texts is carved on a small ivory tablet dated to the 1st Dynasty (c. 3100 BC) where it is said that "Sirius is the Opener of the Year's Flood". The very same notion is given in the Pyramid Texts (c. 2200 BC), where it is stated that: "It is Sirius, the beloved daughter (of Ra, the Sun-god), who prepares yearly sustenance (the flood) for you in her name of 'Year'". In his book Echoes of Ancient Skies, the archaeo-astronomer Dr. Ed Krupp writes that,
"After disappearing from the night sky (for 70 days) Sirius eventually reappears in the dawn, before the sun come up. The first time this occurs each year is called the star's heliacal rising, and on this day Sirius remains visible for only a short time before the sky gets too bright to see it. In ancient Egypt this annual reappearance of Sirius fell close to the summer solstice and coincided with the time of the Nile's inundation. Isis, as Sirius, was the 'Mistress of the Year's beginning', for the Egyptian new year was set by this event. New Year's ceremony texts at Dendera say Isis coaxes out the Nile and causes it to swell. The metaphor is astronomical, hydraulic, and sexual, and it parallels the function of Isis in the myth. Sirius revives the Nile just as Isis revives Osiris. Her time in hiding from Seth is when Sirius is gone (70 days) from the night sky. She (Isis) gives birth to her son Horus, as Sirius gives birth to the new year, and in the texts Horus and the new year are equated. She is the vehicle for renewal of life and order. Shining for a moment, one morning in summer, she stimulates the Nile and starts the year."
SIRIUS AND THE GREAT PYRAMID
It is known that on the east of the Great Pyramid once stood a building called the 'temple of Isis'. On the Inventory Stella dated to the 26th Dynasty, Isis is called "Mistress of the Pyramid". It is also possible that the capstone that once stood on the summit of this monument may have been associated in some way to Isis and Sirius. It has often been suggested that the Fifth Division of the Duat (afterworld) depicted in the Book of the Dead showing a giant double-sphinx guarding a huge pyramid may be a stylised representation of the Giza necropolis. If so, then an interesting association can be made, for the pyramid of the Fifth Division shows the 'Face of Isis' on the summit instead of the capstone.

Perhaps more convincing is the Egyptian name of Sirius itself, or rather the way it is written with three hieroglyphic signs, a five-pointed star, a half-circle and a small pointed triangle. According to E.C. Krupp:
"One last peculiarity of the Egyptian treatment of Sirius appears to link it, through the cult of Osiris, to the Pyramids. The hieroglyphic inscription of Sirius:
includes an obvious symbol of a star and two other symbols that may be related to the Benben. The half circle was used to signify the Benben. The long, thin triangle is most reminiscent of a pyramid, or perhaps an obelisk… Just as the Benben symbolised the emergence of existence from non-existence, of the birth of the world, so Sirius, as the Bennu (Phoenix), recommemorated creation by alighting upon the Benben, be it obelisk, observation platform or pyramid…"
The Benben which Krupp is referring to was a very sacred stone that was once kept in the 'Temple of the Phoenix' at Heliopolis and which served as a model for the capstones of monumental pyramids and obelisks, also called Benbens.

The 'Benben' (pyramidion) of the Great Pyramid has been missing since recorded history, and we cannot tell what it really looked like. It was probably made of black granite and covered with gold, possibly to symbolise the star. But perhaps the most convincing connection between the Great Pyramid and the star Sirius come from the interior design system of the pyramid. From each of the two main chambers of the Great Pyramid i.e. the King's Chamber and the Queen's Chamber, emanate two long and narrow shafts, one going due north and the other going due south. It has been known since 1964 that these shafts had astronomical alignments to the stars when the pyramid was completed in c. 2500 BC. Those of the King's Chamber were directed to the Pole Star Alpha Draconis (Thuban) in the north, and to the three stars of Orion's belt in the south. Over twenty years later, in 1987 I discovered that the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber was directed to Sirius. Such associations between the Great Pyramid and Sirius is not surprising, as the pyramid was almost certainly the agency of astral rebirth of the pharaonic cult modeled on the myth of Osiris and Isis.

THE CHANGING SKY
Throughout the ancient Egyptian civilisation the celebration of the birth of the divine child, Horus, from the womb of the goddess Isis was commemorated at the opening of the New Year when the star Sirius rose heliacally at dawn. But because of the effect of precession, the event shifted along the calendar at approximately the rate of 8.5 days every 1000 years. In 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 21 June (Gregorian) as seen from Giza. When Jesus was born the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 19 July, and today it occurs on the 5 August. Some three hundred years before the birth of Jesus, Egypt had fallen under the rule of the so-called Ptolemys, Greek-pharaohs who ruled Egypt from 305 BC until 30 BC, the last being Queen Cleopatra VII. During this period the capital city of Egypt moved to Alexandria, where the pseudo-Egyptian cult of Sarapis was installed. Sarapis was a synthetic god modeled on the Egyptian god Asar-Hapi (Osiris-Apis), a name meaning 'Osiris of the Nile'. Isis, quite naturally, became the consort of Sarapis and her cult flourished in Alexandria and the whole Mediterranean basin. It was adopted by many of the Roman legions and, through them, found its way into Western Europe. Temples of Isis have been found in Italy, France, Germany and as far as Oxford in England. Along with the cult of Isis also spread the celebration of the birth of Horus, called Hapocrates by the Greeks and identified to Apollo and Sol Invictus by the Romans. This event, as we have said, associated by the rising of the birth-star Sirius in the east at dawn. Interestingly, when Julius Caesar introduced the so-called Julian Calendar, it was the Alexandrian astronomer Sosigenes who converted for Caesar the old lunar calendar into a solar one. There can be little doubt that Sosigenes borrowed the idea from the Egyptians, who had a solar calendar since at least 3300 BC. This calendar, as we have seen, fixed the New Year with the heliacal rising of Sirius which, in Sosigenes' epoch, began in the month of 'July' and this, I would imagine, is probably why this particular month was named after Julius Caesar. His famous consort, the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, was also a high priestess of Isis and Caesar dedicated in her honour a temple in the Rome Forum. After the death of Cleopatra in 30 BC, Egypt became a Roman province, where there was a large Greek and Roman community in Alexandria as, more importantly, a great number of Jews who had fled Judea. With the rise of the newly formed Christianity in Egypt, the ancient mystery cult of the pharaohs that had mingled with those of the Greek and Romans, now also mingled with the Judeo-Christian ideologies.

The basic tenets of these older mystery cults rested on the belief that "immortality" was achieved through the initiatory teachings of a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and the symbolic re-enactment of his 'death' and 'rebirth'. The Phoenician Adonis, the Phrygian Attis, the Egyptian Osiris and the Alexandrian Sarapis, were all contenders for such a doctrine. The Romans furthermore had imported into Egypt the mystery cult of Mithras who also was a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and, more intriguingly, whose 'birthday" was celebrated at sunset on the 25th December. It is no wonder, therefore, that the early Christian community also celebrated the 'birth' of their own dying and resurrecting 'Son of God', Jesus, on the 25th December and with the idea of a nativity 'star in the east' to mark this supernatural event. But which star?
THE MADONNA AND CHILD
It is a strange peculiarity among the four canonical gospels that only one of them, the Gospel of Matthew, speaks of the birth of Jesus in relation to the appearance of a star in the east and the Magi. The Gospel of Matthew is also unique in its narrative of the 'flight into Egypt' by the Holy Family. But if these event are historically true, then why are the other Gospels so conspicuously silent on such a crucial and important event in the birth of the Messiah? Could it be that the event was not 'historical' at all but mythical? It has long been believed by scholars that the 'Matthew' Gospel was probably written between 40 and 80 AD in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. Now in Alexandria at the time of the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel, the celebration of the new day and the new year were not anymore observed at dawn but at sunset to conform with both the Judeo-Christian tradition and Roman traditions of marking such events at sunset. In consideration of this, let us examine the sky at sunset looking east on the 25th December in c. 50 AD (the average date for the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel) as seen from the latitude of Alexandria.

Curiously, the starry picture that is afforded is exactly the same as that seen in ancient Egypt in c. 3300 BC at DAWN when the 'birth' of Horus from the womb of Isis was celebrated by the heliacal rising of Sirius. Here is what an observer in Egypt would have witnessed:
At about 4 h 28 GMT, the sun begins to set in the west at 28 degrees N of W.
Some 35 minutes later, at about 5 h 03 GMT, the sun has fully set in the west. In the east, at exactly the same time, Orion's belt sits on horizon, about 2 degrees S of E.
A further 51 minutes, at 5 h 54 GMT, the sun has gone down about - 10 degrees below the western horizon, and the sky is now dark enough to see the stars with the naked eye. Looking east at exactly the same time, the star Sirius is seen rising in the east (Orion's belt is now about 25 degrees higher up over the eastern horizon, giving the illusion that it has 'heralded' the rising of Sirius).
The celestial imagery, therefore, is that on the 25th December, right after sunset, the three stars of Orion's belt were seen rising in the east as if to 'herald' the coming of the birth-star Sirius, which followed about one hour after. It would be very unlikely that such a powerful celestial sign which was known to denote the 'birth of the divine child' in Egypt since time immemorial would not have been unnoticed by the writer of the 'Matthew' Gospel. It seems evident that the introduction of a new divine child (Jesus) born from the Madonna (Mary) in Egypt and the Graeco-Roman world would benefit greatly by absorbing the older and very powerful mythology of Isis and her star, Sirius.

Thus Isis and the child Horus were metamorphosed into the Madonna and child Jesus, and the star Sirius became the 'Star of the East' which the wise men saw and heralded the birth of Jesus. Much later, three wise men became known as the 'three kings' in Western tradition and, in keeping with stellar symbolism, they also became identified to the three stars of Orion's belt. In his book Star Names: Their Lore and Meaning, the astronomer Richard H. Allen states that in European folklore the three stars in Orion's belt are often called the Magi or the Three Kings. And the Christian mythologist, Alvin Boyd Kuhn wrote:
"There is the legend of the 'Three Kings of the Orient' who came on Christmas to adorn the new-born God… from days of old the Three Kings were the three conspicuous stars in the belt of Orion… that so easily distinguishes this notable constellation… and their title was for long the Three Kings of Orion… They point almost in a direct line to the following…Sirius (which) was made in the type of Christ-soul in mankind. (Sirius) is preceded by the Three Kings who anticipate its coming (rising)…"
Kuhn then proceeds to give a variant of the popular Christmas carol:
"We three kings of Orion are, bearing gifts we traverse afar, fields and fountains, moors and mountains, following yonder star…"
Today, in our modern calendar, we celebrate the changing of the New Year at midnight on the 31st December. It is a strange synchronicity that at exactly that time, for the year 1999 and 2000 the star Sirius reaches it culmination at the meridian. The Egyptian authorities had planned to place a golden capstone on the summit of the Great Pyramid at midnight on the 31st December 1999, to mark the start of the new age. The idea was to have a 4 meters high pyramidion made of light metal covered with gold sheet lowered into place by a military helicopter, and laser beams reflected on its surface during a concert performed by French musician Jean-Michel Jarre. This event, however, was cancelled at the last minute due to pressure from the Arab press which claimed a "Masonic" connotation with the glowing capstone seen on the US one-dollar bill. The full implications of this curious affair are discussed in my new book, Secret Chamber (Century Books, 1999) and in an article entitled "The Great Pyramid and the Freemasons" (HERA magazine Issue 2 February 2000).
Had the placing of the capstone ceremony taken place, the whole event would have been a spectacular "reunion" of Sirius and its symbol to mark the new millennium. For as seen from the north face of the Great Pyramid and in alignment with the North-South axis (i.e. along the meridian), the star Sirius would appear to hover on top of the summit of the pyramid at precisely midnight on the 31st December, as if to urge us that its principal symbol, the golden capstone, has been missing for far too long. In many esoteric traditions the capstone of the Great Pyramid, and more especially its return to the summit of the Great Pyramid, will signal the return of the 'great initiate' which, according to some prophecies, such as those of Edgar Cayce, signifies the return of the Christ. Many have argued that the true start of the new millennium is, in fact, 31st December 2000. If so, then the Egyptian authorities still have another opportunity to perform this powerful and evoking ceremony. What better signal than the ancient star of 'divine rebirth' seen hovering over the golden capstone on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza to symbolise the start of a new spiritual age for Humankind.

The general effect is that the stellar landscape appears to swing up and down like a pendulum. Before the 12th millennium BC Sirius was below the horizon line as seen from the region of Cairo/Giza. It made its first appearance in the skies at that place in c.10,500 BC. Then it had a declination of about 58 degrees 43', which meant it would have just been visible in the south about 1.5 degree above the horizon line. For early man to witnessing the 'birth' of such a bright star must have been a very impressive sight rich with meaning and messages from the gods. Also the rising of Sirius occurred when the constellation of Virgo was rising in the east, which may partly explain why the star became the symbol of a virgin-goddess. We do not know when exactly Sirius became identified to the goddess Isis, but the idea certainly goes back to the origin of Egyptian culture. It was from the 'womb' of Isis-Sirius that was born the divine child, Horus.

The conception and birth of Horus occurred in a magical way as told in the myth of Isis and Osiris:
"HORUS WHO IS IN SIRIUS"
Isis and Osiris were among the four children born from the womb of the sky-goddess, Nut and fathered by Ra, the sungod. The other two children were Seth and Nephtys. Osiris took Isis as his wife, and they became the first rulers of Egypt. At the age of 28 Osiris was brutally killed by his jealous brother Seth and his body cut into fourteen pieces. Isis recovered all of the pieces of Osiris' body except the phallus, which she could not find. Isis fashioned an artificial phallus for Osiris, placed herself on it in the form of a kite, and became pregnant with his seed. She then went into hiding in the marshes of the Nile, and gave birth to Horus. From the Pyramid Texts and various other religious writings, it is clear that this myth has its counterpart in the stars, with Isis identified to Sirius and Osiris to the constellation of Orion. In the Pyramid Texts it is said of Osiris-Orion:
"Your sister Isis comes to you rejoicing for love of you. You have placed her on your phallus and your seed issues in her, she being ready as Sirius, and Horus Sopd (a star) has come forth from you as Horus who is in Sirius…" [Pyr. Text line 632]

Recreating the ancient skies of the early Dynastic Era (c.3300 BC) which took place just before the great Pyramid Age (c.2750 - 2100 BC) we find that the star Sirius performed a very evocative cycle in the heavens which readily explains why it was associated to a magical birth.
Because the earth moves around the sun, the fixed background of the stars appears to shift throughout the year in relation to the sun. Yearly observations of Sirius, for example, would show that there is a time when the star sets in the west immediately after sunset. After that the star is no longer visible for a period of about 70 days. It will reappear again, however, just before sunrise in the east. This reappearance is known as the heliacal rising of the star. In c. 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred exactly on the day of the summer solstice (21 June Gregorian). Precession has since caused that date to shift 45 days, and now the heliacal rising of Sirius occurs on the 5th August.
The striking conjunction of the heliacal rising of Sirius and the summer solstice in 3300 BC was, in itself, a powerful omen; but there was something else also occurring at the same time which, quite literally, caused the whole of Egypt to be reborn. This was the annual flooding of the Nile. Since the construction of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s, the annual flood of the Nile is fully controlled and regulated. But in ancient times (and until the turn of the late 19th century) the Nile would begin to swell in early June caused by the huge volume of water brought down river by the melting snows in the highlands of Central Africa. By late June the water would begin to spill over the banks to eventually flood the whole Nile Valley by end July. We know for certain that the ancient Egyptians considered the heliacal rising of Sirius to be the magical cause of the Nile Flood. The heliacal rising of Sirius became the celestial sign that marked the beginning of the New Year. There are many ancient texts which refer to the conjunction of the 'New Year', the summer solstice, the start of the Flood and the appearance of Sirius which shows that this event was of the utmost importance to the Egyptians. The oldest of these texts is carved on a small ivory tablet dated to the 1st Dynasty (c. 3100 BC) where it is said that "Sirius is the Opener of the Year's Flood". The very same notion is given in the Pyramid Texts (c. 2200 BC), where it is stated that: "It is Sirius, the beloved daughter (of Ra, the Sun-god), who prepares yearly sustenance (the flood) for you in her name of 'Year'". In his book Echoes of Ancient Skies, the archaeo-astronomer Dr. Ed Krupp writes that,
"After disappearing from the night sky (for 70 days) Sirius eventually reappears in the dawn, before the sun come up. The first time this occurs each year is called the star's heliacal rising, and on this day Sirius remains visible for only a short time before the sky gets too bright to see it. In ancient Egypt this annual reappearance of Sirius fell close to the summer solstice and coincided with the time of the Nile's inundation. Isis, as Sirius, was the 'Mistress of the Year's beginning', for the Egyptian new year was set by this event. New Year's ceremony texts at Dendera say Isis coaxes out the Nile and causes it to swell. The metaphor is astronomical, hydraulic, and sexual, and it parallels the function of Isis in the myth. Sirius revives the Nile just as Isis revives Osiris. Her time in hiding from Seth is when Sirius is gone (70 days) from the night sky. She (Isis) gives birth to her son Horus, as Sirius gives birth to the new year, and in the texts Horus and the new year are equated. She is the vehicle for renewal of life and order. Shining for a moment, one morning in summer, she stimulates the Nile and starts the year."
SIRIUS AND THE GREAT PYRAMID
It is known that on the east of the Great Pyramid once stood a building called the 'temple of Isis'. On the Inventory Stella dated to the 26th Dynasty, Isis is called "Mistress of the Pyramid". It is also possible that the capstone that once stood on the summit of this monument may have been associated in some way to Isis and Sirius. It has often been suggested that the Fifth Division of the Duat (afterworld) depicted in the Book of the Dead showing a giant double-sphinx guarding a huge pyramid may be a stylised representation of the Giza necropolis. If so, then an interesting association can be made, for the pyramid of the Fifth Division shows the 'Face of Isis' on the summit instead of the capstone.

Perhaps more convincing is the Egyptian name of Sirius itself, or rather the way it is written with three hieroglyphic signs, a five-pointed star, a half-circle and a small pointed triangle. According to E.C. Krupp:
"One last peculiarity of the Egyptian treatment of Sirius appears to link it, through the cult of Osiris, to the Pyramids. The hieroglyphic inscription of Sirius:
includes an obvious symbol of a star and two other symbols that may be related to the Benben. The half circle was used to signify the Benben. The long, thin triangle is most reminiscent of a pyramid, or perhaps an obelisk… Just as the Benben symbolised the emergence of existence from non-existence, of the birth of the world, so Sirius, as the Bennu (Phoenix), recommemorated creation by alighting upon the Benben, be it obelisk, observation platform or pyramid…"
The Benben which Krupp is referring to was a very sacred stone that was once kept in the 'Temple of the Phoenix' at Heliopolis and which served as a model for the capstones of monumental pyramids and obelisks, also called Benbens.

The 'Benben' (pyramidion) of the Great Pyramid has been missing since recorded history, and we cannot tell what it really looked like. It was probably made of black granite and covered with gold, possibly to symbolise the star. But perhaps the most convincing connection between the Great Pyramid and the star Sirius come from the interior design system of the pyramid. From each of the two main chambers of the Great Pyramid i.e. the King's Chamber and the Queen's Chamber, emanate two long and narrow shafts, one going due north and the other going due south. It has been known since 1964 that these shafts had astronomical alignments to the stars when the pyramid was completed in c. 2500 BC. Those of the King's Chamber were directed to the Pole Star Alpha Draconis (Thuban) in the north, and to the three stars of Orion's belt in the south. Over twenty years later, in 1987 I discovered that the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber was directed to Sirius. Such associations between the Great Pyramid and Sirius is not surprising, as the pyramid was almost certainly the agency of astral rebirth of the pharaonic cult modeled on the myth of Osiris and Isis.

THE CHANGING SKY
Throughout the ancient Egyptian civilisation the celebration of the birth of the divine child, Horus, from the womb of the goddess Isis was commemorated at the opening of the New Year when the star Sirius rose heliacally at dawn. But because of the effect of precession, the event shifted along the calendar at approximately the rate of 8.5 days every 1000 years. In 3300 BC the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 21 June (Gregorian) as seen from Giza. When Jesus was born the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on the 19 July, and today it occurs on the 5 August. Some three hundred years before the birth of Jesus, Egypt had fallen under the rule of the so-called Ptolemys, Greek-pharaohs who ruled Egypt from 305 BC until 30 BC, the last being Queen Cleopatra VII. During this period the capital city of Egypt moved to Alexandria, where the pseudo-Egyptian cult of Sarapis was installed. Sarapis was a synthetic god modeled on the Egyptian god Asar-Hapi (Osiris-Apis), a name meaning 'Osiris of the Nile'. Isis, quite naturally, became the consort of Sarapis and her cult flourished in Alexandria and the whole Mediterranean basin. It was adopted by many of the Roman legions and, through them, found its way into Western Europe. Temples of Isis have been found in Italy, France, Germany and as far as Oxford in England. Along with the cult of Isis also spread the celebration of the birth of Horus, called Hapocrates by the Greeks and identified to Apollo and Sol Invictus by the Romans. This event, as we have said, associated by the rising of the birth-star Sirius in the east at dawn. Interestingly, when Julius Caesar introduced the so-called Julian Calendar, it was the Alexandrian astronomer Sosigenes who converted for Caesar the old lunar calendar into a solar one. There can be little doubt that Sosigenes borrowed the idea from the Egyptians, who had a solar calendar since at least 3300 BC. This calendar, as we have seen, fixed the New Year with the heliacal rising of Sirius which, in Sosigenes' epoch, began in the month of 'July' and this, I would imagine, is probably why this particular month was named after Julius Caesar. His famous consort, the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, was also a high priestess of Isis and Caesar dedicated in her honour a temple in the Rome Forum. After the death of Cleopatra in 30 BC, Egypt became a Roman province, where there was a large Greek and Roman community in Alexandria as, more importantly, a great number of Jews who had fled Judea. With the rise of the newly formed Christianity in Egypt, the ancient mystery cult of the pharaohs that had mingled with those of the Greek and Romans, now also mingled with the Judeo-Christian ideologies.

The basic tenets of these older mystery cults rested on the belief that "immortality" was achieved through the initiatory teachings of a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and the symbolic re-enactment of his 'death' and 'rebirth'. The Phoenician Adonis, the Phrygian Attis, the Egyptian Osiris and the Alexandrian Sarapis, were all contenders for such a doctrine. The Romans furthermore had imported into Egypt the mystery cult of Mithras who also was a "dying-resurrecting Son of God" and, more intriguingly, whose 'birthday" was celebrated at sunset on the 25th December. It is no wonder, therefore, that the early Christian community also celebrated the 'birth' of their own dying and resurrecting 'Son of God', Jesus, on the 25th December and with the idea of a nativity 'star in the east' to mark this supernatural event. But which star?
THE MADONNA AND CHILD
It is a strange peculiarity among the four canonical gospels that only one of them, the Gospel of Matthew, speaks of the birth of Jesus in relation to the appearance of a star in the east and the Magi. The Gospel of Matthew is also unique in its narrative of the 'flight into Egypt' by the Holy Family. But if these event are historically true, then why are the other Gospels so conspicuously silent on such a crucial and important event in the birth of the Messiah? Could it be that the event was not 'historical' at all but mythical? It has long been believed by scholars that the 'Matthew' Gospel was probably written between 40 and 80 AD in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. Now in Alexandria at the time of the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel, the celebration of the new day and the new year were not anymore observed at dawn but at sunset to conform with both the Judeo-Christian tradition and Roman traditions of marking such events at sunset. In consideration of this, let us examine the sky at sunset looking east on the 25th December in c. 50 AD (the average date for the writing of the 'Matthew' Gospel) as seen from the latitude of Alexandria.

Curiously, the starry picture that is afforded is exactly the same as that seen in ancient Egypt in c. 3300 BC at DAWN when the 'birth' of Horus from the womb of Isis was celebrated by the heliacal rising of Sirius. Here is what an observer in Egypt would have witnessed:
At about 4 h 28 GMT, the sun begins to set in the west at 28 degrees N of W.
Some 35 minutes later, at about 5 h 03 GMT, the sun has fully set in the west. In the east, at exactly the same time, Orion's belt sits on horizon, about 2 degrees S of E.
A further 51 minutes, at 5 h 54 GMT, the sun has gone down about - 10 degrees below the western horizon, and the sky is now dark enough to see the stars with the naked eye. Looking east at exactly the same time, the star Sirius is seen rising in the east (Orion's belt is now about 25 degrees higher up over the eastern horizon, giving the illusion that it has 'heralded' the rising of Sirius).
The celestial imagery, therefore, is that on the 25th December, right after sunset, the three stars of Orion's belt were seen rising in the east as if to 'herald' the coming of the birth-star Sirius, which followed about one hour after. It would be very unlikely that such a powerful celestial sign which was known to denote the 'birth of the divine child' in Egypt since time immemorial would not have been unnoticed by the writer of the 'Matthew' Gospel. It seems evident that the introduction of a new divine child (Jesus) born from the Madonna (Mary) in Egypt and the Graeco-Roman world would benefit greatly by absorbing the older and very powerful mythology of Isis and her star, Sirius.

Thus Isis and the child Horus were metamorphosed into the Madonna and child Jesus, and the star Sirius became the 'Star of the East' which the wise men saw and heralded the birth of Jesus. Much later, three wise men became known as the 'three kings' in Western tradition and, in keeping with stellar symbolism, they also became identified to the three stars of Orion's belt. In his book Star Names: Their Lore and Meaning, the astronomer Richard H. Allen states that in European folklore the three stars in Orion's belt are often called the Magi or the Three Kings. And the Christian mythologist, Alvin Boyd Kuhn wrote:
"There is the legend of the 'Three Kings of the Orient' who came on Christmas to adorn the new-born God… from days of old the Three Kings were the three conspicuous stars in the belt of Orion… that so easily distinguishes this notable constellation… and their title was for long the Three Kings of Orion… They point almost in a direct line to the following…Sirius (which) was made in the type of Christ-soul in mankind. (Sirius) is preceded by the Three Kings who anticipate its coming (rising)…"
Kuhn then proceeds to give a variant of the popular Christmas carol:
"We three kings of Orion are, bearing gifts we traverse afar, fields and fountains, moors and mountains, following yonder star…"
Today, in our modern calendar, we celebrate the changing of the New Year at midnight on the 31st December. It is a strange synchronicity that at exactly that time, for the year 1999 and 2000 the star Sirius reaches it culmination at the meridian. The Egyptian authorities had planned to place a golden capstone on the summit of the Great Pyramid at midnight on the 31st December 1999, to mark the start of the new age. The idea was to have a 4 meters high pyramidion made of light metal covered with gold sheet lowered into place by a military helicopter, and laser beams reflected on its surface during a concert performed by French musician Jean-Michel Jarre. This event, however, was cancelled at the last minute due to pressure from the Arab press which claimed a "Masonic" connotation with the glowing capstone seen on the US one-dollar bill. The full implications of this curious affair are discussed in my new book, Secret Chamber (Century Books, 1999) and in an article entitled "The Great Pyramid and the Freemasons" (HERA magazine Issue 2 February 2000).
Had the placing of the capstone ceremony taken place, the whole event would have been a spectacular "reunion" of Sirius and its symbol to mark the new millennium. For as seen from the north face of the Great Pyramid and in alignment with the North-South axis (i.e. along the meridian), the star Sirius would appear to hover on top of the summit of the pyramid at precisely midnight on the 31st December, as if to urge us that its principal symbol, the golden capstone, has been missing for far too long. In many esoteric traditions the capstone of the Great Pyramid, and more especially its return to the summit of the Great Pyramid, will signal the return of the 'great initiate' which, according to some prophecies, such as those of Edgar Cayce, signifies the return of the Christ. Many have argued that the true start of the new millennium is, in fact, 31st December 2000. If so, then the Egyptian authorities still have another opportunity to perform this powerful and evoking ceremony. What better signal than the ancient star of 'divine rebirth' seen hovering over the golden capstone on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza to symbolise the start of a new spiritual age for Humankind.
