who is this mysterious Son of Man?
No lie can live forever. -Alfred North Whitehead
The Son of Man in the Gospels can be traced to the constellation Orion which represents Jesus' Spirit. Background for this report can be found in Gospel Zodiac, Jesus' Ghost and Pillar of Cloud. They explain how Jesus allegorizes the sun, the nature of Jesus' Spirit and the role the Milky Way plays in apocalyptic prophecies. This report explains the astrological significance of Son of Man.
Introduction
One of the imperatives in Christian mythology is the belief that the world as we know it will end someday. God will overthrow the forces of evil and all who side with them, and only those who repent and follow Jesus' teachings will be allowed to enter the new Kingdom of God. Jesus and Paul mention it often and the Book of Revelation is devoted to it.
Many passages attest that Jesus expected the end of the world to come in his time, not thousands of years later. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus refers to some mysterious Son of man, a cosmic judge sent from heaven who would destroy whoever opposes God and reward those who are faithful.
Who this Son of man? The popular claim has it that Jesus was referring to himself in the third person. It's plausible because many passages fit the course of Jesus' ministry. What is suspicious about this rationale is that Jesus appears to be describing someone else.
38For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of man also be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." 1And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power." (Mark 8:38-9:1)
I submit that Christian reasoning is entirely wrong. When Christians read the predictions of the end of the world, they are waiting for events to unfold on earth. Even after 2,000 years of false alarms, they have not lost patience, and I don't know if they will ever admit that maybe they are misreading the New Testament.
Such a calamity cannot happen as the Bible predicts. Something on that scale would take an event like a large meteor to hit earth. In such a case, a meteor would not care who is faithful to Jesus. If there was a nuclear war, bombs would be guided by human stupidity, not divine intelligence. If any other catastrophe happens on that scale, earth would not be a very pleasant place for the survivors. Whatever the cause of mass destruction, faith will not protect anybody. Even worse, if the entire world was destroyed, as devout Christians believe, there would be no survivors.
What confuses modern readers is the way the Bible's writers coded their belief in the power of the stars as if they affected life on earth. The matter before us is to decipher their writings for what they meant to ancients, not to what modern believers want to believe.
For this reason, we will examine the Bible from an astronomical point of view. It was a time when ancients perceived the stars in heaven as patterns to be interpreted as God's divine plan for life on earth. The sun was especially important to them because they understood that life on earth depended on it.
There are three clues which clarify what they were writing about. The first describes the Son of man as the constellation Orion. The second relates the yearly sun cycle to the end of the world. The third tracks Orion with the sun cycle. There can be no other conclusion except that the idea of a supernatural God was conceived as a ruse to mislead faithful Christians.
The Son of man
Three passages define the Son of man in physical form.
The first appears in the apocalyptic writings of the Book of Daniel, where Daniel describes the Son of man as riding on the clouds of heaven to the "Ancient of days" to give him everlasting dominion over the new kingdom of heaven.
13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Dan. 7:13-14)
Revelation's description of the Son of man fits the pattern of stars in the constellation Orion. The star on his right shoulder is bright red (upper left star). The three stars at his waste were later seen as the three wise men who announced the birth of Jesus.
12Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden girdle round his breast; 14his head and his hair were white as white wool, white as snow; his eyes were like a flame of fire, 15his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters; 16in his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. (Rev. 1:12-20)
The Son of man has a cluster of stars in the background that look like the clouds upon which the Son of man rides. Astronomical maps show the Milky Way behind the constellation Orion. From earth, they look like clouds.
14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. (Rev. 14:14-20)
A photograph of Orion, personified as the Son of man riding on a cloud.
Orion as seen in human form. His right hand could be holding a sickle or a club. His left hand could be holding an animal skin, a shield or a bow. The Milky Way is behind him. The arc above him represents the sun's path. The line going through his waste is the celestial equator which runs parallel to earth's equator.
Orion's legacy
After the Big Dipper, Orion is perhaps the next most celebrated constellation in the winter sky. Mythologies about Orion probably originated from the Egyptians thousands of years ago and extended to the Greeks at the turn of the first century. It is a very important constellation to astral religions and easy to recognize.
To the ancient Egyptians, Orion was Osiris the God of Light. Set was Orisis' brother and the God of Darkness. According to legend, Orisis was murdered by his evil brother Set, who tore his body into pieces and scattered the fragments. Isis, Osiris' wife, managed to put him back together except for his phallus, which had been swallowed by a fish. She made an artificial phallus and breathed into his body to restore his soul. Thereafter, he rose to the sky.
In one period, Orion represented the Egyptian god of the dead and the first king of Egypt. After death, the pharaoh was thought to mystically inseminate the stars to ensure that, through Osiris, Horus the sun god would be reborn as his successor.
In one Greek myth, Orion was the son of Neptune and the nymph Euryale. He was of gigantic size, strength and beauty. He was so tall that he could walk through deep water without wetting his head. His hubris invoked Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth to send a scorpion to kill him. His fall to earth can be seen when the stars of Orion sink defeated below the western horizon and the stars of Scorpion are just rising in the east.
The next night he rises again, saved by Ophiuchus, the Doctor of Antiquity who gave him an antidote for the scorpions poison. This can be seen when the Scorpion sets in the southwest with Ophiuchus standing over him as a symbol of the antidote. Later, when Ophiuchus sets in the west, Orion comes up from the east, fully recovered.
In these myths alone we see fragments of Christian mythology. Gods die and are restored to life. They are given a soul by being breathed into and they fall to earth as Adam did. The scorpion brings death as Judas did to Jesus. There is the eternal conflict between light and dark. (See Light verses Dark)
The timing of Orion's cycle fits with the birth of Jesus on December 25. It makes its first appearance in the east in mid December each year. And as the season progresses, Orion rises with the sun and sets in the west three days before it rises in the east again.
With the sun personified as Jesus, it is accurate to think of Orion as a constellation in synch with the sun's cycle. In a sense they are like conjoined twins who suffer the same fate. This is why the confusion about whether Jesus is referring to himself as the Son of Man in the third person or whether the Son of Man is some cosmic judge.
The sun cycle
In allegorical language, the sun goes through four seasonal cycles. It is born on December 25 when daylight hours start to increase. At about this same time Orion rises in the east with its three belt stars as the three wise men. As Orion rises, the star Sirius ascends above the horizon as the star of Bethlehem. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky.
The powers of darkness are still in power, but as the daylight hours increase, it is seen as overcoming the forces that try to stop it. In the Gospels, this is when Jesus is born and when his parents take him away to keep Herod from killing him.
At the spring equinox it has entered the gates of heaven when daylight hours start to emerge more powerful than the dark evil forces. Jesus' mission starts in the spring when he collects his disciples and builds a following.
At the summer solstice, when the sun is the highest in the sky, the sun is on its throne. In the following summer months, as the sun descends, it is still strong, but it is weakening as the dark forces start to make war against it. To show his strength, Jesus performs miracles and exorcises demons. At this time Orion is at the height of its ascent.
When the sun passes through the fall equinox, it enters the gates to hell. Night time hours start to lengthen and the dark forces are said to be fighting their way back to power. The sun continues to weaken until it dies for three days following December 21. This is when Jesus is betrayed by Judas and is taken to trial and executed. Allegorically, this is the end of the world.
On December 25, the sun is resurrected and the cycle repeats.
This cycle is not unique to Christianity; it plays out through the mythologies of resurrected gods. It was the age of fable when the constellations were assigned the names of gods. There was Hercules who died on his twelfth labor like Jesus. There is Jason and the Argonauts with their ship Argo, reminiscent of Noah's ark. The constellation Perseus holding the head of Medusa looks like David holding the head of Goliath. There are creation myths, supreme gods who mate with virgins, giants, serpents and a host of other characters like those in the Bible.
The Bible cannot be understood by those who are so blinded with faith that they keep their heads buried in the ground trying to make historical sense out of it. Look up to the sky. The keys to unlocking the secrets of the Bible can be found with a map of the constellations and a good book on star mythology. My favorite is New Patterns in the Sky New Patterns in the Sky by Julius D. W. Staal,
The Zodiac wheel shows how the sun's yearly ascension and descension conforms to the Bible's motifs.
biblical Omens
In Mark chapter 13, there is an allegorical summary of the astronomical omens that lead to the end of the world. They start when the sun is at full power at its highest position on the horizon to when it descends to its death at the lowest position.
1. When the sun is at the summer solstice in Gemini, Jesus predicted that some day the temple will be destroyed. His disciples wanted to know what sign they should look for to know when this event will happen. In biblespeak, "sign" denotes astrological signs.
1And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!" 2And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down." 3And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4"Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign when these things are all to be accomplished?" (Mark 13:1-4)
2. After the sun passes the high point of the summer solstice it descends lower with each passing day. Allegorically, the sun is weakening because the dark forces of evil are said to waging war against it. The wars are just beginning.
The sun starts to descend in the house of Cancer. It is usually a time of hesitation, so Jesus warns what to expect and not to be alarmed.
7And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is not yet. 8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places, there will be famines; this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs. 9"But take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils; and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them. (Mark 13:7-8)
3. The wars between light and dark intensify as the days get shorter. The sun is still strong, but the forces of evil are gaining power.
The house of Leo brings strength from the new harvest. So Jesus says to be strong against adversity and you will be saved.
11And when they bring you to trial and deliver you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say; but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death; 13and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. 14"But when you see the desolating sacrilege set up where it ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; (Mark 13:11-14)
4. Virgo is the last house before the sun descends into hell-Virgo is described as a nursing mother. There is no turning back.
15let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything away; 16and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle. 17And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck [Virgo] in those days! (Mark 13:15-17)
5. The sun has passed the fall equinox into Scorpio. The days are getting progressively shorter than the nights. According to Jesus, if the days did not get shorter, no one could be saved, so God shortened the days. Pray that the sign doesn't happen in winter because it is the worst of times. If the days are still getting shorter and someone says the Christ has come, do not believe them. It is not the right time.
18Pray that it may not happen in winter. 19For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be. 20And if the Lord had not shortened the days, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. 21And then if any one says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. 22False Christs and false prophets will arise and show signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. 23But take heed; I have told you all things beforehand. (Mark 13:18-23)
6. The sun is in Sagittarius as the sun descends to its lowest point on the horizon. On the darkest days of the winter when the moon does not give light, the Son of man will come in clouds. The Son of man in clouds can be seen in the picture above. Below, the next frame shows the son of men descending on December 21.
24"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, 25and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26And then they will see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27And then he will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. (Mark 13:24-27)
7. You will know he is near the gates to heaven (the spring equinox) when fig trees start to grow leaves.
28"From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. (Mark 13:28-29)
8. This generation will see these things take place. -He means his generation.
30Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away before all these things take place. 31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:30-31)
In the first century on December 21 at midnight, when the sun is darkened and the moon does not give up its light, the Son of man can be seen descending to earth. A month later it disappears from view.
Orion ascends in the east three days after its disappearance in the west.

Look at Amos 5:8 – in the KJV – The 7 stars in Orion is Osiris. Why is this in the bible?
The 7 stars in Orion’s belt represents Osiris in Kemet and others religions as well. I thought Christians were not supposed to indulge in astronomy. Then why is it in the Bible?
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=amos%205:8&version=9
Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name: Here is a pic-

The identification of these three stars as a belt is a very old one. The Arabic names of two of the stars reflect this: Mintaka means 'the belt' and Alnitak means 'the girdle'. (The name of the third star, Alnilam, means 'the string of pearls'.) It has been suggested that the three Belt-stars influenced the placing of the Pyramids at Giza, and it is certainly true that there is a remarkable correspondence of position between the Pyramids and the stars. Across the centuries, the three stars we know familiarly as Orion's Belt have held a special meaning to many people in many cultures, especially when the number three held spiritual significance as kings, wise men, or gods.
Here are a few of those stories:

The Three Magi of Christian Tradition from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_Magi
The word Magi is a Latinization of the plural of the Greek word magos (μαγος pl. μαγοι), which is a derivative from Old Persian Magupati. The term is a specific occupational title referring to the priestly caste of a branch of Zoroastrianism known as Zurvanism. As part of their religion, these priests paid particular attention to the stars, and gained an international reputation for astrology.
The phrase from the east is the only information Matthew provides on where the Magi came from, apart from identifying that they come from their own country rather than Judea. Traditionally the view developed that the Magi were Persian or Parthian, a view held for example by John Chrysostom, and Byzantine art generally depicted them in Persian dress. The main support for this is that the first Magi were from Persia and that land still had the largest number of them. Some believe they were from Babylon, which was the centre of Zurvanism, and hence astrology, at the time. Brown comments that the author of Matthew probably didn't have a specific location in mind and the phrase from the east is for literary effect and added exoticism. Though the Bible does not number the Magi [nor, apparently, name them], traditionally there were always seen to be three, as three of the gifts were specifically named.
In the Eastern church a variety of different names are given for the three, but in the West the names have been settled since the 8th century as Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. The names of the Magi derive from an early 6th century Greek manuscript in Alexandria, translated into the Latin Excerpta Latina Barbari. The Latin text Collectanea et Flores continues the tradition of three kings and their names and gives additional details of their clothes, coming from Syria. This text is said to be from the 8th century, of Irish origin. In the Eastern churches, Ethiopian Christianity, for instance, has Hor, Karsudan, and Basanater, while the Armenians have Kagbha, Badadakharida and Badadilma.
In China, the three stars of Orion's Belt represented the Three Pristine Ones in Daoism: Celestial Worthy of Numinous Treasure, Celestial Worthy of Original Beginnings, Celestial Worthy of the Dao and Inner Power
Also from China, the three belt stars represented the Chinese Star Lords of Good Fortune whose worship began in the 15th c., Fu (Prosperity/Wealth), Lu (Success) and Shu (Longevity). However, Shu was worshipped much earlier, as early as the 3rd c. BCE
In Shinto beliefs: http://www2.gol.com/users/stever/orion.htm According to Uchida (1973), many Japanese came to call the three belt stars of Orion Taishikou San Daishi. Taishikou refers to Winter, and San Daishi refers to three great preachers or teachers. Around the 11th month of each lunar calendar year, on the 23rd and 24th days, various celebrations were and still are made honoring three particularly significant Buddhist teachers who founded sects of that religion in the Nara and Heian eras of Japan: Tendai Daishi (founder of the Tendai Buddhist Sect), Saichou (follower and teacher of the Tendai sect), and Kobo Daishi (founder of the Shingon sect and also famous for establishing the 88 temples of Shikoku around the 9th century).
One can hardly speak of the stars of the Belt of Orion without mentioning the significance of Sirius, the Dog Star. For more information on Sothis/Sopdet/Sirius the Dog Star see How Long Does a Phoenix Live .

Ever since its discovery atop a hill in Germany in 1999, a bronze and gold artefact dubbed the ‘Nebra disc’, has baffled both archaeologists and historians alike as to its authenticity. Despite numerous court hearings to prove that this supposed Bronze Age relic is not a hoax, researchers are still adamant about defining what they believe it means. The general consensus is that it is representative of important stars, although opinions differ vastly as to which stars are purportedly shown… except for a cluster of ‘dots’ that all seem to be in agreement with.
The cluster seems to represent the Pleiades.
One of the more recent opinions expressed by an archaeologist in an entry on ‘Online Spiegel’( 21 February 2006) is that in BC1600, the year the disc supposedly dates back to, the people living in the Sachsen-Anhalt area where it was found, used the disc to orientate themselves as to the seasons… an astronomical clock as it were.
Be that as it may, Wayne Herschel, author of ‘The Hidden Records’ has reason to believe there is a lot more at play here. For him the disc is yet another piece of the cosmic puzzle he proposes in his star map theory that seems to fit with almost all ancient civilisations.
On first examining it, Wayne could not help thinking: Would the Orion, Pleiades and Sun-like-star cosmic pattern that seems to be included in most ancient cultures appear on this disc also? Would Orion come into play, as the cosmic signpost theme as it appears in so many of the other star maps in his book?
Of course if this is the case, it will also put Germany onto the map as once hosting an advanced culture just like the ancient Egyptians and other ancient civilisations.
From his interpretation, Wayne agrees with other researchers who say the disc maps out the Pleiades among its 32 stars, but he takes this finding to new as yet unexplored heights.
|
|
|
|
|
Firstly, he has only recently realised that there appears to be an interpretation of the Milky Way in relation to the position of the Pleiades.
Once he had made this simple deduction, the missing Orion constellation fell into place. It was perfectly presented. There are three dots in the very centre and it fits precisely between the two gold curved edges that adorn the two opposite ends of the disc. Is this the answer? In the image below, notice how the four outer Orion stars seem interpreted symmetrically and are located near the ends of each of these curved gold edges.
Wayne ’s proposed interpretation is as follows:
|
|
|
|
|
Note how Wayne has proposed a completely new solution for the Milky Way on the right hand side gold insert on the Nebra disc. It is surrounded with hundreds of small grooves (stars) while having lines like a curved rainbow. This is the clue here, because the Milky Way is depicted curved from one horizon to the other, just like a rainbow.
Orion appears to fit centrally as the cosmic signpost that one must follow to find the Pleiades. This is true in the night sky. Wayne realises that the way in which Aldebaran is shown may be reason for debate. He believes they would not have left out Aldeberan or Sirius. However, he ascribes this to its ‘designers’ possibly having allowed themselves a certain amount of ‘artistic licence’:
“It is as if they first put in the orb and crescent… associated with Orion, Aldebaran and Sirius showing the way to these sacred gold icons… then the Pleiades and the outer star references were filled in.
Why?
Because, as was the case in other ancient civilisations, they most likely would have wanted to give prominence to the heavenly bodies that were of greatest significance!
Coincidently, the gold dots that make up the Pleiades also have three small stars in a row, which Wayne has referenced previously in his other proposed star map solutions. The three small stars generalise the direction to the Sun-like star… and it seems approximately correct here. The angle ‘x’ formed is very similar to the angle the Pleiades form with the Orion’s Belt star alignment, in comparison with the significant Sun-like star he isolates on the star atlas shown below. It is the same angle that seems to repeatedly recur at numerous ancient sites.
He believes that in all likelihood the crescent on the Nebra disc is not representative of the moon, just as the orb in all likelihood is NOT our Sun. Primarily because the Sun and the stars do not appear concurrently when we look at the sky, but also because it is more reasonable to understand more emotion might be attached to the place of their ‘gods’ rather than our very mundane daily Sun.
Wayne has a slightly different interpretation of the Pleiades than that suggested by academics. Scholars have commented that this cluster does not appear to have exacting form.
|
|
|
|
|
Examine the star atlas image above. Notice that the brightest star constellations have a general similarity to the stars on the Nebra disc.
If one studies the Sumerians, there are hundreds of instances in which a large star and a crescent with seven heavenly bodies are depicted in conjunction with one another. Scholars have already suggested that the seven heavenly bodies are the Pleiades. If the ancients claim there ‘gods’ came from the stars, is it not fair to suggest this Orb and crescent have something to do with their place of origin?
It would therefore make sense that what is being depicted, is not our Sun at all, but a ‘Sun-like’ star system. In the same token, the crescent might in all likelihood be a planet associated with this star. A place of origin perhaps for a very advanced flesh and blood ‘god’!
Researchers claim that the Nebra disc is the "oldest representation of the stars in the world."
Wayne believes this claim could be a little premature. One need only take a look at the Lascaux cave which he explores in his book. This cave in France has the very same star map theme, and the site is over 17000 years old. Watch the website soon for a preview. The cave also has a second ‘mythological’ version of the star map, and quite amazingly it appears to portray Orion as a deity, the very same bird headed deities of the Egyptians and Sumerians.
Given that archaeologists have come to believe that the Mittelberg hill and its concrete pit where the disc was found, served as a type of observatory, they will no doubt find Wayne’s new theory hard to swallow. The archaeological dig has gone down about half a metre into the soil, leaving loose stone walls standing. The site was once surrounded by wooden palisades and a complex of defensive ditches. Small wonder that many have likened it to Stonehenge!

‘MISSING’ PYRAMIDS AT GIZA DISCOVERED… ON AN OLD MAP!
|
A NEW recently revealed pyramid/star correlation theory for Giza can now be proven conclusively. Wayne Herschel - the proponent of the new hypothesis - has just found the remaining missing pyramids that will make his theory conclusive. |
|
His ‘missing pyramid hypothesis’ was first mentioned in his book, ‘The Hidden Records’, which has recently been published. The author made this invaluable breakthrough while setting out to prove author Robert Bauval’s much acclaimed theory that the three pyramids of Giza correlate with Orion’s ‘belt’. |
|
|
|
However, he proposes an entirely new star map interpretation to Bauval’s, using a completely new layout scale for the Orion constellation as a whole (which leads to the inclusion of the all important Taurus constellation alongside it). This new scale interpretation displays some very ingenious mathematical adjustments (explored in the book) that must have been made intentionally by the pyramid builders, and speaks of an incredibly advanced very early civilisation. |
|
Not only does this new scale provide the answer for so many of the objections scholars have come up with… BUT IT HAS BECOME INSTRUMENTAL IN CONFIRMING WHAT APPEAR TO BE FOUR UNRECOGNISED PYRAMID RUINS AT GIZA! Discovering these elusive ‘ruins’ has also enabled the author to crack a decipherable message, which is key to unlocking the prime reason as to why the ancients built such an elaborate pyramid star map in the first place! |
|
Wayne, with many years experience in astronomy and familiarity with star maps, could see why astronomers were not completely convinced with the model Bauval proposed for his overall pyramid/star correlations (see below). This star map identified two pyramids at quite a distance from Giza (Abu Rawash in the north and Zaweyet Al Aryan in the south) to represent two of the Orion periphery stars (Saiph and Bellatrix). |
|
Although there seemed to be fairly similar distances and angles between the pyramids and the stars they were supposed to represent, one could not help observing that Bauval had no counterparts for the two brightest periphery stars of Orion. (See yellow question marks in the map below). But the biggest doubt in this model was the difference in scale when it came to comparing the size of the Orion’s ‘belt’ stars with the size of the three main pyramids at Giza. |
|
Academics have also recently pointed out that if the pyramids had been built to represent stars in a grand design so to speak, why would their builders not have included earlier pyramids - the pyramids at Saqqara and Abusir - as part of a star map? One has to query the inevitable here: What if there is a whole new interpretation that answers all these questions? And if so, would it reveal an age old secret behind the pyramids? |
|
|
|
It was this prime question that inspired Wayne Herschel to dig deeper. Given the huge distance between the Giza ‘belt’ pyramids and the closest pyramids neighbouring them (in the north Abu Rawash and in the south Zaweyet Al-Aryan), he could not help thinking that completely different stars were at play in this pyramid star map. What if two far more significant stars, namely Sirius and Aldebaran, were to fit here as the correct correlations for these two pyramids? |
|
After all, the ancient Egyptians revered Sirius as very important and the name given to the star Aldebaran was “Ad-Dab-aram”, which means “follower of the Pleiades”. (This is because if one were to follow one’s line of sight from Orion’s belt through Aldebaran, one’s eye would follow directly to the Pleiades in the night sky). Quite uncannily, the name even sounded like the pronunciation of the ancient pyramid name “Zaweyet Al-Aryan”. What if there was a connection here? And could it be that the Pleiades (part of the constellation Taurus) also somehow fitted into the picture? |
|
This could easily be tested and if it turned out to be right, the size of the Giza pyramids would most likely match the size of the three stars making up Orion’s ‘belt’… exactly! |
|
|
Wayne Herschel’s quest was further fuelled by one of the earliest Egyptian texts. The Thoth Prophecy claims the ultimate corroborating truth: |
|
“Egypt is the image of the heavens… the whole Cosmos dwells here”. |
|
“Whole” being the operative word! This very conspicuous clue suggested to him that a much wider interpretation of stars in the night sky was at play and that in all likelihood a whole 360° revolution of the Milky Way (of which Orion and Taurus form a part) was being replicated in the pyramid star map of the ancients. It was a possibility that had been entirely overlooked by Egyptologists, and it would leave him no peace. He was determined to find out if there was an astronomical solution to the grand master plan that was apparently at work in how the ancients had laid out their pyramid field. To do this, he created a series of transparencies of the stars. |
|
The astronomical scale was adjusted so that Orion’s ‘belt’ would coincide with the sizes the three main pyramids at Giza. The transparency was placed over one of the most credible ancient pyramid maps. The result was breathtaking. What emerged was a series of very accurate correlations for the most prominent stars in Taurus. (Orion is located alongside the sacred bull of the ancients…Taurus). |
|
But there was still something missing. Wayne was perplexed as to why there did not appear to be any correlations for the four important outer stars that comprise Orion: |
|
“Although this new correlation seemed to feel right, I felt very sure there must be correlations at least for the two brightest stars of Orion (that were left out of Bauval’s model).” |
|
“A trip to Giza soon solved this lingering doubt. As I gazed over the plateau from the Sphinx, there it stood right in front of my very eyes. It appeared to be one of my missing pyramids… in all its grandeur! A forgotten ‘pyramid ruin’! It had a vast causeway, which all this time scholars thought was the ruin of a wall! The ‘pyramid ruin’ is so massive that it defies all logic as to why no historian to date has interpreted it to be a ruin! I could hardly keep the camera still as I photographed ‘my’ incredible finding (see below).” |
|
|
|
|
|
Note how the middle area of the ‘ruin’ seems to have collapsed. The debris is literally the same size as the pyramid blocks at Giza. Is this ‘engineered’ bedrock that was once the base ruin of a pyramid, or are these real blocks? Note also the rear of the Sphinx (the vantage point from which the picture was taken) and the eroded walls that have been said to be over 10,000 years old, dating back to an epoch when rain fell in this area. |
|
This is when the author decided he needed an aerial image of Giza. There was only one option… an image from a hot air balloon, and that is exactly what happened. He recalls how frustrated he was with the result. The area had changed considerably over time with roads, a cemetery and building developments almost cancelling out what the area must have looked like in ancient times. But this would not deter him. |
|
What he did with the photograph was to remove all the anomalies that his research told him had been built in the last one thousand years or so. The processed image that resulted from his efforts was remarkable and it has been published in ‘The Hidden Records’ as the first colour overhead image of how Egypt once looked, at the time of Napoleon arriving in Egypt. The new image clarified that in all likelihood this was a pyramid ruin. This could be further confirmed by it aligning exactly with one of the Orion stars. |
|
|
But what really had the author puzzled, was that this ‘ruin’ had been built two thirds closer to the three main Giza pyramids, when compared to the distances of the star in question in relation to the ‘belt’ stars. The author’s book, ‘The Hidden Records’, goes to great lengths to reason this peculiarity, and comes up with some very thought provoking explanations, which once again goes to show how ingenious the pyramid builders really were. |
|
But what about the three other outer pyramids that would complete the star map? What could be lurking under the desert sand? The search was on once again… but this time for an antique map of Giza by one of the earliest cartographers. |
|
The author tracked down a map that was well over 100 years old which would give him a more accurate idea of what the plateau would have looked like in ancient times. It resulted in a fantastic breakthrough. It turned out that there were four anomalies exactly in position for all four of the outer stars of a ‘two thirds reduced’ Orion. (The author gives a comprehensively illustrated explanation of the very obvious reasons behind this differential in distance scales). Note that an altered scale depiction for the distance of the periphery stars has been introduced into the astronomical image below, for realistic comparative purposes for ‘ruin’ positions and the apparently intentional improved mathematical portrayal of these important stars. (Note how the intersecting alignment lines in red all intersect at one finite point… is this just another coincidence?) |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
As already mentioned earlier, even Taurus (ostensibly the most important to the ancients according to all their texts) fits into this new model? It too has its pyramid counterparts on the ground! Not only did the author’s transparency test reveal such correlations, but it also included numerous others beyond Taurus and Orion… including the oldest Egyptian pyramids found at Memphis. |
|
In an infinitely important breakthrough, it turns out that the star map that emerged from Wayne Herschel’s transparency experiment included very accurately all the brightest stars alongside the Milky Way in one complete 360° revolution. This is exactly what the ancient Egyptian text of Thoth claimed. |
|
Here is the final NEWLY ADJUSTED image in support of his theory. Notice how his correlations differ from the model proposed by Robert Bauval, as seen on the top of this web page. Wayne has overcome all the previous objections proposed by scholars, all of which are detailed in the book. After all… pyramids must be built on bedrock and not sand and the code of mathematics seems to take slight precedence over precise stellar positions. All of this is on debate in the book. |
|
|
|
|
The reasons for the altered scales and why Giza is aligned the way it is, is meticulously unravelled in the book. Also how the Da Vinci codex fits into the Giza layout… where the ‘fingerprint of humanity’ literally shows the way to a measurable nearby Sun-like star in the sky… the star that Egypt and many other ancient civilisations all claimed to be the star… of the ‘gods’! (This is the prime theme of the book). This pattern is also matched on the ground… with a correlating ‘Sun-like’ temple… the ‘Sun-like’ star temple of ‘Ra’. |
|
But what about the missing pyramids at Saqqara, and Dashour that have not yet been included in the new star map theory? Are there accurate star correlations for these? |
|
The answer is yes again… there are accurate correlations with the brightest stars that remain in completing one full side of the Milky Way! A very logical yet simple message can be decoded in this star map. It isolates one pyramid/star correlation that qualifies as the proverbial ‘x’ on the star map. |
|
See the remainder of the Egyptian star map that is shown only in thumbnail size. (Click on the Star Map web page link shown earlier). The full size is depicted in the book with some interesting proof why the bent pyramid… is bent! |
|
Click here to see the thumbnail preview of the balance of the star map evidence. The whole of Lower Egypt represents one complete revolution of one side of the Milky Way… all for the purpose of one reason, and one reason only. |
|
This new pyramid star map interpretation has been aired recently on a South African television documentary and various radio interviews and the latest findings on this news release have been sent to universities all over the world to evaluate. Scholars are not prepared to comment yet, but undoubtedly will feel compelled to make a statement in the near future. |

1. ORION (The Coming Prince) Light breaking forth in the Redeemer
29. Orion (the Glorious One)
This picture is to show that the coming one is no mere animal, but a man: a mighty, triumphant, glorious prince.
He is so pictured in the ancient Denderah Zodiac, where we see a man coming forth pointing to the three bright stars (Rigel, Bellatrix, and Betelguez) as his. His name is given as Ha-ga-t, which means this is he who triumphs. The hieroglyphic characters below read Oar. Orion was anciently spelt Oarion, from the Hebrew root, which means light. So that Orion means coming forth as light. The ancient Akkadian was Ur-ana, the light of heaven.
Orion is the most brilliant of all the constellations, and when he comes to the meridian he is accompanied by several adjacent constellations of great splendour. There is then above the horizon the most glorious view of the celestial bodies that the starry firmament affords; and this magnificent view is visible to all the habitable world, because the equinoctial line (or solstitial colure) passes nearly through the middle of Orion.
ARATUS thus sings of him:
"Eastward, beyond the region of the Bull, Stands great Orion. And who, when night is clear, Beholds him gleaming bright, shall cast his eyes in vain To find a Sign more glorious in all heaven."
The constellation is mentioned by name, as being perfectly well known both by name and appearance, in the time of Job; and as being an object of familiar knowledge at that early period of the world's history. See Job 9:9; 38:31, and Amos 5:8 (Heb. Chesil, which means a strong one, a hero, or giant).
It contains 78 stars, two being of the 1st magnitude, four of the 2nd, four of the 3rd, sixteen of the 4th, etc.
A little way below i (in the sword) is a very remarkable nebulous star. A common telescope will show that it is a beautiful nebula. A powerful telescope reveals it as consisting of collections of nebulous stars, these again being surrounded by faint luminous points, which still more powerful telescopes would resolve into separate stars.
Thus beautifully is set forth the brilliancy and glory of that Light which shall break forth when the moment comes for it to be said, "Arise, shine, for thy light is come."
The picture presents us with "the Light of the world." His left foot is significantly placed upon the head of the enemy. He is girded with a glorious girdle, studded with three brilliant stars; and upon this girdle is hung a sharp sword. Its handle proves that this mighty Prince is come forth in a new character. He is again proved to be "the Lamb that was slain," for the hilt of this sword is in the form of the head and body of a lamb. In his right hand he lifts on high his mighty club; while in his left he holds forth the token of his victory--the head and skin of the "roaring lion." We ask in wonder, "Who is this?" and the names of the stars give us the answer.
The brightest, a (in the right shoulder), is named Betelgeuz, which means the coming (Mal 3:2) of the branch.
The next, b (in the left foot), is named Rigel, or Rigol, which means the foot that crusheth. The foot is lifted up, and placed immediately over the head of the enemy, as though in the very act of crushing it. Thus, the name of the star bespeaks the act.
The next star, g (in the left shoulder), is called Bellatrix, which means quickly coming, or swiftly destroying.
The name of the fourth star, d (one of the three in the belt), carries us back to the old, old story, that this glorious One was once humbled; that His heel was once bruised. Its name is Al Nitak, the wounded One. * Similarly the star k (in the right leg) is called Saiph, bruised, which is the very word used in Genesis 3:15, thus connecting Orion with the primeval prophecy. Like Ophiuchus, he has one leg bruised; while, with the other, he is crushing the enemy under foot.
* The star z (in the belt) is called Mintaka, dividing, as a sacrifice (Lev 8:2).
This is betokened by other stars named Al Rai, who bruises, who breaks (as in Cepheus); and Thabit (Hebrew), treading on.
Other (Arabic) names relate to His Person: Al Giauza, the branch; Al Gebor, the mighty; Al Mirzam, the ruler; Al Nagjed, the prince; Niphla (Chaldee), the mighty; Nux (Hebrew), the strong. Some names relate to His coming, as Betelgeuse and Bellatrix, as above; Heka (Chaldee), coming; and Meissa (Hebrew), coming forth.
Such is the cumulative testimony of Orion's stars, which, day after day, and night after night, show forth this knowledge. That testimony was afterwards written in the Book. The Prince of Glory, who was once wounded for the sins of His redeemed, is about to rise up and shine forth for their deliverance. Their redemption draweth nigh; for--
"The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war; He shall cry, yea, roar; He shall prevail against His enemies. I have [He says] long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: Now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once." Isaiah 42:13, 14
Then it will be said to His people (and the setting of the prophecy in its beautiful introverted structure shows us the beauty and glory of the truth it reveals): *
a: Arise, b: Shine; for thy light is come, c: And the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. d: For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, d: And gross darkness the people; c: But the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee. b: And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, a: And kings to the brightness of thy rising. (Isaiah 60:1-3)
* Note that-- In a and a, we have the rising of Israel; In b and b, the light that is come upon her; In c and c, the glory of the LORD; and In d and d, the darkness of the world.
This is "the glory of the God" which the heavens constantly declare (Psalm 19:1). They tell of that blessed time when the whole earth shall be filled with His glory (Num 14:21; Isa 11:9); when "the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together" (Isa 40:5), as all see now the beauty of Orion's glory.
But side by side with the glory which the coming Light of the world shall bring for His people, there is "that wicked," whom the Lord "shall destroy with the brightness of His coming." Hence, as in the concluding chapter (4) of the First Book (of which this Third Book is the expansion) we had in LYRA (the harp), as 1, Praise prepared for the Conqueror; and in ARA (the burning pyre), as 2, consuming fire prepared for His enemies: so in the first chapter of this book, we have in ORION, as 1, Glory prepared for the Conqueror; and in ERIDANUS, as 2, the River of wrath prepared for His enemies. This brings us to--

LA ESTRELLA BETELGEUSE
|

Global Orion Links: A Celestial Plan? 2006 12 05
By Gary A. David | theorionzone.com
Humans naturally seem to resonate with the hermetic maxim “As above, so below.” We like the idea that the earth mirrors the stars. We even try to enhance this duality by constructing pyramids, temples, stone circles, henges, or sacred villages to reflect star patterns. Biblically speaking, God’s will shall be done “in earth as it is in heaven.” But why did ancient astronomer-priests from diverse cultures around the world apparently focus on the constellation Orion as the supreme celestial template? As some readers know, the primary “Orion Correlation Theory” (OCT) was developed in Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert in their international bestseller The Orion Mystery. The co-authors discovered an ancient “unified ground plan” in which the pyramids at Giza form the pattern of the belt of Orion. According to their theory only briefly summarized here, the Great Pyramid (Khufu) represents Alnitak, the middle pyramid (Khafre) represents Alnilam, and the slightly offset smaller pyramid (Menkaure) represents Mintaka. In addition, two ruined pyramids —one at Abu Ruwash to the north and another at Zawyat al Aryan to the south— correlate to Saiph (Orion’s right foot) and Bellatrix (Orion’s left shoulder) respectively, while three pyramids at Abusir farther south correspond to Orion’s head. http://www.robertbauval.co.uk/articles/articles/gizaorion.html • (A number of researchers have disputed either all or part of the OCT since its publication nearly a decade ago. http://www.teamatlantis.com/yucatan_test/orion1.html • And most recently: http://www.mysterious-america.net/cygnus-orion.html and also: http://www.andrewcollins.com/page/articles/Cygnus_Orion_Giza.htm.) Egypt was not the only place, however, where Orion’s influence was felt. Inspired by Bauval’s work, I stumbled across an Orion Correlation that the Anasazi (ancestral Hopi Indians) constructed in Arizona from about 1050-1300 AD. Every major star in the constellation corresponds to a specific masonry village site. The terrestrial replication of the celestial pattern is uncanny. • Read about the Arizona Orion Correlation at the Graham Hancock Forum: http://www.grahamhancock.com/forum/DavidGA1.php?p=1 • See more information at my own website http://www.theorionzone.com. • Also consult the maps of this correlation: http://www.theorionzone.com/maps.htm About one hundred miles west of Aswan in the Sahara Desert lies an archaeological site called Nabta Playa. Only ten to eleven feet in diameter, this megalithic calendar circle has a north/south line-of-sight as well as a summer solstice sunrise alignment. According to former NASA physicist Thomas G. Brophy, Ph.D., three stones inside the circle mirror the pattern of Orion’s belt at the meridian for this season during the period 6,400 to 4900 BC. Three other interior stones represent the shoulders and head of the constellation for the astoundingly early date of 16,500 BC. Another set of megaliths south of the circle at Nabta Playa aligns to the vernal equinox heliacal rising [http://www.answers.com/topic/heliacal-rising] in 6300 BC of six key stars in Orion (Alnitak, Alnilam, Mintaka, Betelgeuse—Orion’s right shoulder, Bellatrix, and Meissa—Orion’s head). This vernal equinox heliacal rising happens only once per precessional cycle (nearly 26,000 years). Satellite Imagery Measures of the Astronomically Aligned Megaliths at Nabta Playa (pdf) Rock art researcher Rob Milne has found at least three distinct rock engraving sites in South Africa that have been laid out to reflect Orion. At Boomplaas, for instance, an alignment of engraved stones mirrors Orion’s belt as it appears on the summer solstice, December 22nd. Another alignment of stones at the same site imitates the belt during the rising of the constellation shortly before sunrise on the winter solstice, June 21st. Check out Rob’s fine Web site replete with photographs from his expeditions in the bush. http://sabic.co.za/robmilne Orion Correlations indeed seem to be popping up all over the world. Just over thirty miles north of Mexico City the massive site of Teotihuacán also apparently reflects the stars of Orion. In particular, the configuration formed by the Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun, and the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl spatially correlates to Mintaka, Alnilam, and Alnitak respectively, i.e., the belt. http://www.philipcoppens.com/orionimage.html Author Page Bryant has suggested that two sites erected by the Mound Builders of North America are potentially Orion correlations as well. Both O’Byam’s Fort in Hickman County, western Kentucky and the Hill Works in Ross County, Ohio (the latter about thirty miles northeast of the Serpent Mound) consist of three major mounds corresponding to the belt stars, with one of the three slightly offset in each case. [Bryant, Starwalking: Shamanic Practices For Traveling Into the Night Sky (Bear & Co, Santa Fe, 1997] Knights Templar researcher Jeff Nisbet has discovered an Orion correlation in Scotland. To very briefly sum up the template: the islands of Fidra, Lamb, and Craigleith located off the southern coast of the Firth of Forth represent the belt stars of Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka respectively. Northeast of the belt, the Isle of May correlates to Bellatrix. Northwest of May on the Fife Peninsula a few miles south of Eden River once lay a stone circle called the Dunino Circle, now lost. If again found, this may correspond to Betelgeuse. A line drawn northwest between May and the hamlet of Dunino comes to rest at Dunsinane Castle of Shakespeare’s “MacBeth.” A line drawn southwest from May through Fidra leads to the famous Rosslyn Chapel. A second line drawn from May through the Lamb leads directly to Tara in Ireland, an even more remarkable geomantic feat. A third line drawn from May through Craigleith leads to Temple, Scotland’s earliest known headquarters of the Templar Knights. Due south of Craigleith is the Castle of Yester, which corresponds to Rigel (Orion’s left foot). A line drawn from this isle through Yester intersects the Cisterian Abbey of Melrose to eventually reach the Glastonbury Tor in England. For more on this excellent research, see Jeff’s Web site: mythomorph.com - The Pyramids of Scotland According to the Czech magazine WM, three pyramids of stone perfectly mirror the belt stars in Montevecchia, a town in northern Italy about 40 kilometers from Milan. The highest of these pyramids is 150 meters tall. Identified by satellite and aerial imagery, these structures so overgrown with vegetation that they were originally mistaken for natural hills are thought to be over 3,000 years old. http://farshores.org/a03ipyr.htm and http://farshores.org/a03ipyr2.htm Patrick Conlan has discovered another correlation to Orion’s belt in Ireland at Loughcrew, located three miles from the town of Oldcastle, County Meath. Running for three miles northeast to southwest along a ridge 700 feet high, three evenly spaced peaks are located with the western one slightly offset—similar to Mintaka. Nearby are 5,000-year-old cairn tombs, or passage graves, together with rock art. One stone with star glyphs apparently represents these peaks. http://conlanabu.com/ In addition, three henges located at the Thornborough Neolithic Monument Complex in North Yorkshire, England correlate to the belt stars. This template is arranged similar to the Arizona Orion, with his head pointed southwest. http://thornborough.ncl.ac.uk/index.htm Other promising candidates for sites corresponding to Orion need further research. For instance, southwest of X’ian in China’s Shensi Province is a pattern of large ancient pyramids constructed of clay that appear to mirror the belt stars. http://www.earthquest.co.uk/articales/theory.html The Jordanian author Rami Sajdi posits that the belt stars of Mitaka, Alnilam, and Alnitak correspond to the Middle Eastern sites of Jerusalem, the Essene community of Masada on the Dead Sea, and Petra respectively. http://www.acacialand.com/orion.html Besides providing the exact pattern for locations of temple complexes or sacred cities, the rising or setting stars of Orion were incorporated into the archeo-astronomy of megalithic construction. The Bighorn Medicine Wheel, for instance, is a stone circle about seventy-five feet in diameter with twenty-eight spokes. It is located upon a promontory on the western slope of the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming at an altitude of over 9,600 ft. The circle is adjacent to a number of line-of-sight cairns that forms astronomical alignments. The heliacal rising of Rigel is marked by one cairn. The helical risings of Aldebaran in Taurus and Sirius in Canis Major are also aligned with specific cairns, and each event is separated by twenty-eight days—the lunar cycle. Medicine Wheel, Wyoming In Guatemala, the archaeologist José Fernandez determined that all of the primary temples at the Postclassic Quiche Maya site of Utatlán (established about the time the Hopi Mesas were first being settled in Arizona) were oriented like the Nazca spider to the heliacal setting points of the stars in Orion. [José Fernandez, "A Stellar City: Utatlán and Orion," paper presented at the international symposium "Time and Astronomy at the Meeting of Two Worlds," Warsaw, 27 April-2 May 1992; see Graham Hancock, Heaven’s Mirror: Quest for the Lost Civilization, p. 35.] Also, recent study of the eponymous Great Zimbabwe located in the country formerly known as Rhodesia shows that on the winter solstice three bright stars in the constellation rise over three stone monoliths on the eastern arc of the Great Enclosure. http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn3137 The ultimate purpose of these earth-sky reflections scattered across the globe remains elusive.
“Is it possible that the incorporation of a ‘celestial plan’ in ancient and mysterious monuments from many different parts of the world, and a particular focus on the three stars of Orion’s Belt... could be parts of a global scientific legacy passed on by a lost civilization of very remote times?”
The above quotation from Graham Hancock’s Fingerprints of the Gods is part of the caption for a photograph depicting a huge spider “geoglyph.” Made in the desert like by removing the darker colored pebbles in order to leave exposed the lighter ones, this earth sculpture found on the Nazca Plain in southern Peru is 150 feet long. The German mathematician and astronomer Maria Reiche studied this and other Nazca figures and lines for over forty years. She believes that the spider’s legs were shaped to represent the outstretched limbs of Orion with its waist forming his belt. Nazca spider She furthermore posits that a particular line intersecting this anatomically correct arachnid from the Amazon jungles was oriented toward the heliacal setting of this constellation, perhaps for the purpose of coordinating solar and lunar calendars. The spider figure is located close to what is known as the Great Rectangle, a geometric form of which has associations with Orion. Located nearby, an anthropoid figure deemed “the Owl Man” also bears an eerie resemblance to the Hopi god of death and the Underworld named Masau’u, who also has associations with Orion. http://www.morien-institute.org/nazca5.html (See a picture of Masau’u: http://www.theorionzone.com/outline.htm.) The list goes on. As we have seen, either Orion’s pattern in the sky is reproduced by human-made structures on the ground or the rising and setting of Orion’s stars are lined up with astronomical markers. Various cultural sites in Peru, Mesoamerica, North America, Great Britain, Ireland, Europe, Africa, and Egypt along with other locations across the globe concentrate on this particular constellation with an archetypal intensity. Probably not all of these sky-ground patterns are valid. Still we must still ask the question: Is this merely a series of colossal coincidences or are we witnessing a worldwide Orion legacy that was propagated long ago by a single cohesive force or intelligence? Are these correlations just the result of the collective unconscious or are they the manifestation of a deliberate, unified celestial plan? Are the Orion Correlations merely the intense need for humans to find patterns in the cosmos, or are they the inheritance of some lost super-civilization or even a gift from the stars? Orion strides across the cold winter sky in stoic silence. Email: islandhillsbooks@msn.com Excerpt from The Orion Zone: Ancient Star Cities of the American Southwest Copyright © 2006 by Gary A.
