Asunción de María o Asunción de la Virgen es la creencia, de acuerdo a la tradición y teología de la Iglesia ortodoxa y de la Iglesia católica, de que el cuerpo y alma de la Virgen María fueron llevados al cielo después de terminar sus días en la tierra.
Este traslado es llamado Assumptio Beatæ Mariæ Virginis (Asunción de la Bienaventurada Virgen María) por los católicos romanos, cuya doctrina fue definida como dogma (verdad de la que no puede dudarse) por el Papa Pío XII el 1 de noviembre de 1950. The red line bisecting the ‘33’ pyramid happens to point to the opposite corner. The blue lines highlight the obvious 23.5 degree slant of the font. There are more clues as well. This is an obvious allusion to the overall message being handed down and possibly in Brown’s book. . . . Precession.

WASHINGTON D. C. ASTRONOMY
Washington D.C. and many of it's buildings and monuments are laid out according to the cardinal directions with the streets running due NS and EW. In the map of Washington D.C. below, due east is up and the star chart shows the constellation of Orion rising due east over Washington D.C., as it has done every day for the past two hundred years. Orion's belt points towards Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, and while Orion is rising and low on the eastern horizon, Orion's belt is vertical, pointing to Sirius below. In the diagram, Sirius is the bright star below Orion near the upper edge of the map of Washington D.C. The bright star above Orion is Aldebran, the alpha star in the constellation of Taurus.
The axis of the ancient Egyptian temple of Isis at Dendera was oriented to the rising point of Sirius on the eastern horizon. The angle of Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House to the Capitol building has pointed to the rising point of Sirius at the latitude of Washington D.C. since the avenue was laid out over 200 years ago. Looking southeast down Pennsylvania Avenue, Sirius rises directly over the Capitol building. Higher in the sky, Orion is also above Sirius and above the Capitol building from the viewpoint of Pennsylvania Avenue as Sirius rises over the horizon.
The diagram above also shows the sun below the horizon on the left side of the diagram. In relation to the fixed stars, the sun rises later each day due to the rotation of the earth around the sun. The sun rises just after Sirius at the latitude of Washington D.C. on August 15. This is known as the heliacal rising of Sirius. Prior to this time of year, the sun is above or too close to the horizon for the rising of the star to be visible. Ancient Egyptians based their calendar on the heliacal rising of Sirius, which signaled the onset of the annual flooding of the Nile. Christians celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on August 15, linking the Assumption to the first appearance of Sirius/Isis in the sky just before dawn.
The star spangled headdress on the statue on top of the Capitol dome suggests a stellar symbolism consistent with the alignment of Pennsylvania Avenue targeting the rising point of Sirius above the Capitol building. Orion has also set due west at the latitude of Washington D.C. for the past two hundred years. From the viewpoint of the Capitol building, Orion sets right behind the Washington Monument. Setting in the west, Orion's belt is horizontal, pointing to Sirius setting south of due west. From the viewpoint of the Capitol building, Sirius sets over the Potomac River, on the alignment of Maryland Avenue. A la polémica sobre si debe festejarse el descubrimiento del nuevo mundo o condenarse la conquista salvaje de los europeos sobre América, se suma ahora datos que revelan como la política y las obsecuencias también jugaron un rol fundamental hace cinco siglos atrás.
Ya nadie pone en duda que el afán de llegar a otras tierras era puramente comercial y de apropiación de nuevas rutas para mayor poder económico, y en ese aspecto el italiano Colón era un experto negociante con sed de llenarse los bolsillos de ganancias.
En ese marco, Colón estaba “casado” con los reyes Católicos que avalaron su aventura, y por eso señores, es hora de decir la verdad: no hubo entrega de joyas y dinero por parte de la reina Isabel para ello, sino un castigo ejemplar para un pueblo de la España reconquistada a los moros.
La ciudad de Palos –desde donde partió Colón— debió pagar toda la preparación del viaje con impuestos y expropiaciones en castigo por la ayuda que, según los nobles reyes, estos ciudadanos había otorgado a lo musulmanes durante la ocupación, además de ser socios de contrabando y piratería en contra de la corona.
Así, Colón luego de entablar una sociedad con los hermanos Pinzón, partieron en agosto de 1492, y ante los nervios creados en la expedición por no llegar a tierra en el tiempo determinado, el capítán de la expedición, una semana antes de descubrir el nuevo mundo, puso en juego una recompensa de 10 mil maravedíes para el primer hombre que avistará continente.
Eso fue lo que vio por primera vez desde el carajo de la carabela La Pinta, el sevillano de Triana, Juan Rodríguez Bermejo, cuando se vio la costa de la actual isla de Bahamas, y festejó su suerte y nueva adquisición económica.
Colón –fiel a su estilo tramposo- nunca se lo pagó al alegar que él desde la Santa Mmaría había visto primero la línea de tierra en el horizonte y como no era su rol anunciarlo solo se alistó para la llegada. Una vil mentira.
Esto sucedió en el amanecer del sábado 13 de octubre de 1492, según destacan los revisionistas, y por el número fatídico de mala suerte, y por ser el 12 de octubre el día de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, patrona de los reyes católicos y viernes, jornada de la pasión de Cristo, el datos de ese día le cerraron mejor al genovés que así buscó complacer a sus mentores.
Con mentiras y falsedades Colón llegó a ese nuevo mundo sin saber que lo había descubierto y convencido que su imagen del mundo era como suponía: “la tierra es de forma de una teta de mujer”.
En ese marco, solo atinó a razonar que los habitantes de esas tierras eran hospitalarios y dóciles, aunque con una cultura muy arraigada, que por supuesto el conquistador nunca entendió.
Sin embargo Colón no era tan duro como se intenta contar en ete relato, y para reparar el engaño al marinero de Triana lo dejó elegir primero a una de las nativas para acostarse con él. Colón lo hizo después, pero esa ya es otra historia porque al parecer el generó el primer contagio de sífilis en el continente nuevo. Lindo para justificar un feriado y un homenaje ¿no?.

Este evento es de gran importancia para esoteristas y ocultistas, ya que lo denominan como el "retorno de Cristo", dado que durante ese tránsito energéticamente es aprovechado por la élite para diversos fines como pudimos ver en algunos ejemplos que menciono sobre momentos coincidentes durante este movimiento astronómico y energético.

Astronómicamente se le denomina a la tierra y a Venus, planetas gemelos, dadas las similares condiciones de ambos astros como tamaño, densidad, gravedad, composición química, una de las diferencias está en su presión atmósferica la cual es 90 veces mayor a la de la tierra, y su superficie, la de Venus, es literalmente "infernal", cubierta de azufre. We have enjoyed writing and posting Daily Blogs now for nearly a month and a half. We appreciate all the feedback we have been getting and hearing how many of you are challenged and blessed by what the Spirit is saying through us.
In our January 1, "2011 Prophecy" Publication near the end we mentioned some of the celestial events that would be taking place this year. One in particular or shall I say (3) in particular is the Unique Triple Eclipse that's happening within a 30 day period, we did not elaborate on it. June 2nd & 1st there was a Partial Solar Eclipse at midnight, it started on the 2nd and ended on the 1st. Yes, I know that is weird and we are not used to hearing of such things and at midnight. June 15, there was a Total Lunar Eclipse with a Blood Red Moon - we posted a video of it on the Daily Blog. Now again there will be a Partial Solar Eclipse on July 1st and June 30th along with an Alignment and Grouping of Planets. (Ok, just think on this again. An Eclipse that starts tomorrow and ends yesterday...at midnight, very rare).
The Prophets of every culture and Jesus all told us to watch for strange signs in the heavens so that we would be aware of the time we are in. The celestial bodies in space happens to be one of the Creators favorites ways or languages to communicate with creation for eons. Why? Because the Planets and Constellations are the Prophets that can not lie.
There seems to be more control of information coming from NASA and other Space Agencies in the past year. Normally one would think they would be making a big deal out of this Strange Triple Eclipse (Solar- Lunar -Solar) or trying to explain it and the frequent Grouping of Planets. Instead we are being distracted by the Congressman's weiner, endless wars, Obamacare and the 2012 sideshow performers. There is very little they are saying these days, why? They know something that most of the public don't know that could create panic. (Did you realize that the government shut down the SETI Program in April 2011 - SETI is an acronym for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. It is the science of using telescopes, radio and optical, to search the skies for signals from alien civilizations. Is there something going on in deep space headed this way that they don't want the public to see or know, yet)? Everything in the heavens seems to be more erratic and out of course. The Planets are conjuncting more frequently, the Planets are massing more frequently, everything seems to have sped up in the heavens and a newly discovered tour bus size Asteroid just missed Earth by 7500 miles Monday morning.

RARE ALIGNMENT It was in May we shared another Rare Alignment that lasted for about 2 weeks as 6 planets came from behind the Sun within 6 degrees of each other. Now on June 30th there will be another Alignment and Grouping of Planets Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Moon Sun, Earth and Mercury. UNUSUAL SIGN OVER FATIMA
Ok, during the Alignment of the Planets June 30, 2011, Venus will do a dance that has not been seen in a while. Venus will actually move out of alignment and conjunct even tighter with the Crescent Moon. This dance will be complete by 7:00 am and be visible exactly above FATIMA.
(Pause this video at exactly 20 seconds. This will be the exact image seen, Venus, Crescent Moon, directly aligned with the steeple and Cross - Islam & Christianity).
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima
History Lesson: May 13, 1917 Fatima, Portugal - 3 Shepherd kids (Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia) had a vision (saw an apparition) of a being who they described as the Virgin Mary, although the being never identified herself as the Virgin. She told the kids to meet her each month for 6 months on the 13th of the month at the same location she appeared to them. (This is the spot where the Sanctuary now sits). During the visits she told them of future world events that they had no way of knowing, which all came to pass. (World War 2, the spread of Communism through Russia, the end of it, many other things, the kids were even told how they would die. There was also a 3rd Secret revealed to them).
Word spread about the children having these encounters- there were mixed feelings. People did not believe that children could have such experiences, their lives were threatened. Finally they asked the Being for a miracle to show the people they were not lying, and she told them she would give them one. On the way to the October 13, 1917 encounter the kids were kidnapped to prevent them from meeting with the heavenly being and threatened to be boiled in oil. The kidnappers also wanted to know the 3rd secret which they were told not to tell. They were eventually let go after and went on to where over 70,000 people were gathered to see a miracle. They were not disappointed and no one doubted the kids after that day.
FACT: At 3:00 pm when this miracle happened, the Sun was moving through the hand of the Constellation Virgo the Virgin in the heavens. Strange lights were seen all over Europe; where the 70,000 were gathered, they witnessed the Sun changing into many colors, twirling and appearing to crash into the Earth. All of the people fell on their knees in repentance and crying out to God. I guess one might call that a revival meeting without an evangelist, just children and child like faith.
Since then up to about a million people travel there each year on May 13 and October 13. There are reported healings and many other supernatural things happening. Some even call it the official headquarters of "the real Catholic Church". 94 years later another heavenly sign will be appearing over the exact spot. Take note: This unique positioning of the sign in the heavens WILL ONLY BE VISIBLE IN THAT AREA.
When I first saw the video clip of the Planet Venus (like a star) and Crescent Moon, I thought of Islam and knew I had seen the exact Flag somewhere but could not remember the nation. It was easy to find- Mauritania, a Northwest African Nation. This is not coincidence that the exact image will be appearing a short distance from this country, just over 1000 miles. More about this later.
VENUS CONNECTION Venus is called the Bright and Morning Star. In the Bible it is called "His Star" (planet). This was one of the stars (planets) that conjunct over Bethlehem 2000 years ago to announce the birth of Jesus the Christ. How ironic, it was the Astrologers (Magi-wise men) that found the Messiah and announced Him to the dead Church (religious system) that was busy with their "programs". It was the Astrologers (Magi-wise men) that actually saved Jesus' life by not telling Herod where he was. The religious system today persecutes the science of the Magis-wise men (Astrologers) that revealed the Christ which later became Christianity. "For we have seen his star in the east and have come to worship him." "When they saw the star they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy." Matthew 2
Venus (symbolic of Love & Beauty) rules the houses of Finance (Taurus) and Relationships (Libra). Jesus was born while the Sun was in Libra (late September-early October), not Capricorn (December 25) which is ruled by Saturn. This is another reason why Venus was called His Star and He is called the Bright and Morning Star.
Jesus said His coming would be preceded by the Sign of the Son of Man in the heavens. Matthew 24:30 What was the Sign of the Son of Man (Jesus) in the heavens 2000 years ago that led the Wise men-Magi (Astrologers) to know something that one would think the religious system would have known? Was it not Venus and Jupiter conjunction in LEO, prophesying that he would be the Lion of the tribe of Judah? If Venus was the sign to the first coming and He said the sign would precede the second coming, why would Venus not be one of the signs again? (We realize that many progressive Kingdom folk don't see a literal 2nd Coming-it's ok, that will soon change. We are not saying that people should spend time obsessing with the heavens or anything outside of them- we do realize the "spirit" of Christ has come and is here always).
In 2004, we wrote a prophetic publication, "Venus Transit" http://www.atam.org/VenusTransit.html - The 2nd stage of Venus Transiting the Sun will be June 6, 2012. Venus shall continue to exhibit strange behavior as one of the main signs of His coming. Another sign of His coming which shall soon be seen in the heavens will be a large planet that no one in our life time has seen before and science has denied it exist. Every eye shall see this sign almost appearing as a "Red Cross" in the sky. This is the planet of the Crossing, called by many names (Nibiru, Planet X, Tychee, etc).
(Just a thought: What if He does not come using the name Jesus, this time? Would people recognize him? The Bible does prophesy of him coming with a new name in the book of Revelation. This is not just a new nature, "and I will write upon him my new name." Do you know what it is)? Keep in mind as you read the next part, there is always darkness before the sunrise of a new day. We are aware of what appears as darkness but our focus is on Light.

The heavenly bodies are busy and discussing the plans for a new day, everything is shifting and the old is passing away.
Don't try to hold on you wont be able to, just let go and prepare for something new.
Eye see old structures and paradigms rapidly crumbling and falling, many that had closed ears will begin to hear the calling.
Look into the sky and you will see the signs of the Son of Man appearing, on Earth failing hearts, fainting and strokes from fearing.
The day is near that many thought would never come, but you can 't stop it-Thy will be done.
The planets are grouping, aligning in frequent council together, preparing for the one that's coming from behind the Sun to make everything better.
Shake up, tear down, destroy and smash- Stock Market crumbling, nations in distress, get rid of your cash.
Fearful sights and wondrous glory, unbelievable reality like a science fiction story.
Lights, sounds and objects filling the skies, darkness at noonday-listen to the people cries.
Chaos, destruction, confusion will it ever end? Then the Sun will shine and a new age will begin.

EYE SEE there will be some religious/political upheaval in the Vatican. There will be Assassinations and Assassination attempts. Within the next 4 -8 months there will be much Exposure.
The Fall of Religious Babylon is not limited to the Mother of Harlots (Roman Catholicism), but her daughters (Protestantism) also that have corrupt the Earth. The System will shake to the core and then an outpouring of Spirit will come.

Its really an extremely tight integration of all these Threads. I begin with the word "teach" in the verse above. It is from the root Lamad, cognate with the Name of the 12th Letter:

This fundamental Lamed KeyWord integrates with the index of Psalm 144 above through its ordinal value of 12 through two pathways. The Number 144 is the square of 12 (144 = 12 x 12) and the Number 144 is congruent to 12 modula 22. Writing 144 = 12 + 132 = 12 + 5 x 22 shows that Psalm 144 lies on Spoke 12, Cycle 6 in the Inner Cycle of the Psalms. This all integrates with the meaning of the name of the 12th letter Lamed. Further resonance is found in the fundamental Greek identity The Elect = 144 = 12 x 12 which thematically originates in the Hebrew revelation. (This link between the 12 tribes, the value of Greek phrase "The Elect", and the Number 144 is one of the great mysteries of Scripture.) The Elect are they who are taught of God.

The first and most astounding thing that leaps out from these identities is the recurrence of the Numbers 1776 and 813. They occur together in verses 3 and 4 in a tightly integrated fashion:
The relations are astounding. The Number 271 - the large prime factor of 813 - is the Tenth Hexagonal Number found in the heart of the prime Star Number 541 (Israel). Likewise, the Number 37 - the only prime factor of 1776 larger than 3 - is the bifigurate heart of the Creation HyperHolograph, being both the third Star and the fourth Centered Hexagon. The Number 1776 is also integrated with the Great Seal of the United States of America, which God raised up as a witness to the Everlasting Light of Jesus Christ. We now can represent the above relations as symmetric combinations of the hexagonal numbers 271 and 37, which are very closely related to the first two elements of the Holographic Generating Set (A = 27, B = 37, C = 73):
This is the prime structure of Genesis 1.3-4, the Creation of Light! Glory! The two largest prime factors are both Centered Hexagons, and the small factors are all powers of 2 and 3. This is the definition of integrity, the defining characteristic of Biblical Holographs. The verses are symmetrically divided into four overlapping segments that are multiples of two primes - Hexagons both - and one of which is the very Heart of Wisdom itself! And this, all in the verses declaring God's creation of Light. Endless, miraculous glory! This structure is divine to the core - straight from the Mind of God. It is immutable, unchangable, eternal, and He has given it to us to reveal Himself that we might know Him who is the fullness of all in all with all the fullness of the intellect created in the image of God. This is the purpose of this study. Time and again, I am asked what this study is good for - well this is it - it is good to know the Mind and Thoughts of our Creator, and to behold the glory of His Eternal Word!
Yet we have but just begun. The Number 271 arises from the GenSet as a variation on the theme of 2701 (Genesis 1.1):

These kind of relations are typical of GenSet identites (cf. Table of GenSet Binary Products). The last identity on top reveals the Number 271 as the difference between the 9th and 10th cubes. This results from the general property of Hexagons as the difference of sequential cubes, coupled with the facts that AB + 1 = 999 + 1 = 1000 and A2 = 729 = 93. Obviously, all of this is deeply integrated with the GenSet and Base Ten. A solid foundation for Creation! Yet even more astounding is the discovery that the elements of the GenSet and the Number 271 are all factors in the small repunits which are required for numbers to return to unity after division characteristic of creation.
Here is a visual representation of the numerical relations implicit in Genesis 1.1-5. The Number 37 is bifigurate. It represents both the Hexagonal core of 73-as-Star, and the Star associated with 19-as-Hexagon. I alternate between Hexagonal and Star representations simply for the symmetry it yields in the image below:
The dotted line from the prime Hexagonal Number 271 to the G4 segment is meant to indicate that it is the ordinal value of G4, when the Spirit of God moved upon the waters.
The Creation of Light portion of this structure (Genesis 1.3-5) integrates with the Wheel of Light - where the word Light (Aur = 207) is found to be auto-correlated on a Cycle of 22 letters.

Dr G. W. Brown, author of Researches in Oriental History, says: "Strange as it may seem whilst Mithras and Osiris, Monysos and Bacchus, Apollo and Serapis, with many others [including Christ] in name, all masculine Sun gods, and all interblended, a knowledge of one is generally a knowledge of the whole, wherever located or worshiped." This is because Ancients man saw the same things in the heavens and created legends and myths of observations of Heavens. The names of the participants changed over time but the basic story remained intact from nation to nation. And along comes Jesus in the age of Pisces as the new personified Sun for the New Age of Pisces and this continues today for we are yet in the age of Pisces till around 2012 and then who knows?
In particular to this article however we saw that in the ancient zodiacs of Egypt as well as other nations like India, there is seen this virgin nursing a male child, with Sun rays around his head…which is emblematical of the infant Sun at the winter solstice, and of his being then in the sign of the Virgo. As Albert the Great acknowledged:
- The virgin-birth motif is astrotheological, referring to the hour of midnight, December 25th, when the constellation of Virgo rises on the horizon.
- The Assumption of the Virgin, celebrated in Catholicism on August 15th, represents the summer sun's brightness blotting out Virgo.
- Mary's Nativity, celebrated on September 8th, occurs when the constellation is visible again. Such is what these "Christian" motifs and holidays represent, as has obviously been known by the more erudite of the Catholic clergy. Hence, the virgin who will conceive and bring forth is Virgo, and her son is the Sun.
"He is always born at the winter solstice, after the shortest day in the year, at the midnight of the 24th December when the sign Virgo is rising above the horizon; born as this Sign is rising, he is born always of a virgin, and she remains a virgin after she has given birth to her Sun-child as the celestial Virgo remains unchanged and unsullied when the Sun comes forth from her in the Heavens. Weak, feeble as an infant is he, born when the days are shortest and the nights are longest..." (Annie Besant, Esoteric Christianity, p. 157).

It would be good to go over some basic information regarding the Chronology of the Bible, in the hopes of clarifying this issue. Here is a simple four point statement describing some of these same issues in Biblical Chronology, showing how to explain the data given in Scripture regarding the dating of historical events:
1. From the time of the division of the kingdom after the death of Solomon, the official scribes of the southern kingdom of Judah counted the regnal years of their kings from the month Tishri (September - October), while the scribes of the northern kingdom of Israel apparently reckoned the regnal years of their kings from the month Nisan (March - April). Proof that Tishri reckoning was employed in Judah may be found by comparing II Kings 22:3 with 23:23, where the discovery of the law by Hilkiah and the subsequent Passover in Nisan, which must have occurred several months later, are both dated in the 18th year of Josiah. Although no scriptural evidence is available for the time of the beginning of the regnal year in the northern kingdom of Israel, when a Nisan-to-Nisan regnal year is used for Israel together with a Tishri-to-Tishri year for Judah, the perplexing discrepancies disappear and a harmonious chronological pattern results.
2. The scribes of Israel used the Egyptian nonaccession-year ("postdating") system in reckoning the reigns of their kings from the division of the kingdom down to 798 BC, and the Babylonian accession-year ("antedating") system from that year onward. According to the nonaccession-year system, that portion of a year which followed a king's accession to the throne and which preceded the official New Year (whether Tishri 1 or Nisan 1) was counted as his first official year. But according to the accession-year system, that initial period was called his accession year, and not until after the New Year did his first official year begin. Proof that Israel followed the nonaccession-year system during the 9th century B.C may be found in the fact that Jehu (according to Assyrian records) paid tribute to Shalmanezer III only 12 years after Ahab fought in the Battle of Qarqar, while the scribes of Israel attributed 14 years to the reigns of the two intervening kings, Ahaziah and Joram. On the other hand, the scribes of Judah must have employed the accession-year system for their kings, except during that dark period of their history when the influence of the northern kingdom, through Queen Athaliah, was predominate (848-796 BC); for only by means of this assumption is it possible to harmonize the synchronisms employed by the northern and southern scribes.
3. When the scribes of one kingdom synchronized the reign of their king with the reign of the neighboring king, they employed their own system of reckoning for both kings instead of employing the foreign system for the foreign king.
4. Many of the kings of Judah (and also Jehoash of Israel) associated their sons with them on their thrones during the final years of their reigns, thus necessitating the allowance of considerable overlapping or coregencies.46
Timeline of Evidences Showing Both a Spring and a Fall Calendar
Before we continue with this study, I feel it is important that we summarize and chart out the facts which demonstrate what type of calendar the Israelites used. Yes, we know that according to Exodus 12:1-2 they used a spring-to-spring calendar. And yes, the 1st month of the Hebrew calendar is still the month of Abib, in the spring. However, the evidence of Scripture, history, and Biblical chronology show conclusively that they also employed a fall-to-fall calendar, in which they often started the count of the years from the 7th month, the month of Tishri. Please review this and consider each of these points carefully.

"This calamity happened in the six hundredth year of Noah's government, [age,] in the second month,(14) called by the Macedonians Dius, but by the Hebrews Marchesuan: . . ." We know that the Hebrew civil calendar was essentially equivalent to the Canaanite calendar because both began in the fall and 3 of the 4 pre-exilic month names mentioned in the TaNaK are also found in Phoenician inscriptions to be Canaanite names of months. The first temple is begun in the 2nd month of Solomon's Fourth Year, and is completed in the 8th month of his 11th year. The text says it covers seven years. Chronology of the construction of the first temple indicates this can only involve a fall-to-fall calendar, since a Nisan calendar would require eight years to complete the temple, not seven. 1 Kings 6:38 plainly states that it took seven years to complete the temple (see chart above).

A calendar from the tenth century BCE was found at Tel Gezer, which starts with the two months of olive harvest (September, October, November), a clear indication of the use of a fall calendar. This is the famous Gezer calendar, the oldest known Hebrew calendar.47 |

Josiah is said to be in his 18th year (2 Kings 22:3). He orders the temple to be repaired, and the High Priest informs the servant of Josiah that he found the Torah scroll. The scroll is read to the king and he realizes that his people have broken the Torah by offering sacrifices to baal, and other abominable things (verse 11). He orders idolatry to be taken away from Jerusalem and later in the other provinces (from Geba to Beersheba). He also commands that the priests of baal should be destroyed, that this reform be carried out in nearby Samaria, and many other things that should be done. In 2 Kings 23:21-22 the king orders the keeping of Passover, and in verse 23 it clearly states that this Passover was kept in the 18th year of Josiah. The chronology of events described in chapters 22 and 23 indicates that all of those things could not possibly have taken place in only two weeks, but in fact several months would have been required. Therefore, the 18th year of Josiah, king of Judah, could not have been calculated based upon a Nisan New Year, but instead by a Tishri New Year.

The Jews of Elephantine island clearly used the Tishri-to-Tishri fall calendar for establishing dates. It is among these double dated papyri documents (written in Aramaic) that we find that the reigns of the Persian kings were dated according to the Tishri fall-to-fall calendar, instead of a Nisan calendar (the calendar typically used by the Persians). In the Kraeling papyrus number 6 it is dated as the month of Tammuz, in the fourth month of 420 BCE (July). Kraeling papyrus number 7 is dated to Tishri (or October) of that same year, 420 BCE. However, the regnal year of Darius II listed there changes from year three to year four between them. The only way this could have happened is if the Jewish authors of these scrolls were using a Tishri (fall) calendar, instead of a Nisan (spring) calendar. |

The Book of Jubilees says that the flood came in the spring and that they celebrated the feast of weeks in the 3rd month. "1And at the new moon of the third month he came out of the ark and built an altar on that hill. 2And he appeared on the earth, and he took a young goat and atoned by its blood for all the guilt of the earth, because every thing that had been on it was destroyed except those that were in the ark with Noah; . . . 14And He gave to Noah and his sons a sign that there should not again be a deluge over the earth; He placed His bow in the clouds as the sign of the eternal covenant that no water of the deluge should again come over the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. 15On this account it is ordained and written on the tablets of heaven that the celebration of the festival of weeks should be in this month, once a year, for a renewed covenant in each year . . ." Philo of Alexandria speaks of a two calendar system. He clearly states that the autumn equinox could also be considered the start of the first month of the year. According to his statement, the month of Abib (when Passover takes place) is actually the seventh month "according to the revolutions of the sun." In contrast, he states that the month associated with the autumn equinox is the first month according to the "solar orbits," but not according to the Law (that is, the command of Exodus 12).

This historical reference from Josephus clearly shows that the date given in Genesis 7:11 for the time of the flood is for a Tishri (fall) start of the New Year, in the 8th month of the Abib calendar (Marchesuan), which is also the 2nd month of a Tishri calendar. "This calamity happened in the six hundredth year of Noah's government, [age,] in the second month,(14) called by the Macedonians Dius, but by the Hebrews Marchesuan: . . . But Moses appointed that · Nisan, . . . should be the first month for their festivals,. . . so that this month began the year as to all the solemnities they observed to the honor of God. . ." In addition to this, his further statement that Moses "preserved the original order of the months" proves that the "original order" (a fall-to-fall calendar) was still in use during his own day.

Fall Calendar is the Original Creation Calendar
While contemplating the enormous amount of evidence in support of a dual calendar system in Israel, let us consider a statement from another chronologist in regard to the issue of spring verses fall start of the Hebrew calendar. Godfrey Faussett, author of Sacred Chronology, believed that the year originally started in the fall, and says this about the idea of originally starting the year from the spring:
It is worthy of notice too that even in one sacred institution the old order of the year was of necessity maintained; for if the Sabbatical year had commenced otherwise than in the Autumn, the understood relation between the seed not sown and the harvest not reaped, would have been destroyed. The year of Jubile too was proclaimed by the trumpet in the seventh month. However poetical imagination may point to the spring as the infancy of the World; if by spring is meant the vernal equinox, nature herself seems to repudiate an order of things which cuts off the seed time from the harvest. Even the winter solstice falls too late by many weeks for that actual spring, which is properly indicated by the earliest germs of annual vegetation.48
Faussett makes several good points. For instance, he talks about the natural order of the seasons. How can we think of dividing the year between seed time and harvest, when the most natural division of the year would be at the time of the harvest? Yahweh instituted a religious calendar that calculated the years starting in the spring, according to Exodus 12:1-2. And yet this appears to be a special calendar given for a special purpose―as an object lesson concerning the celebration of the life cycle of man.‡ Other than this, logic and nature itself seem to mitigate against the idea of ending and starting the year after the time that the seed has already germinated (the spring equinox), for such a system breaks up the agricultural cycle. The fact that Faussett refers to the "old order of the year," which is also in alignment with what Josephus says when he speaks of this "original order," lends credence to the idea that there is also an agricultural year which naturally starts in the fall.
Through the research of many chronologists, including Faussett, Horn and Thiele, ancient historical testimonies (including Josephus, Philo and the Elephantine Papyri), ancient Jewish Rabbis, and the Scriptures themselves, we can determine conclusively that even as far back as the days of Noah the beginning of the year was in the fall, and was not changed to the spring until the time of Moses—when Yahweh sought to change the focus of his children from the celebration of “death” to the celebration of “life.”‡ In addition, a fall calendar was used in the days of Solomon, and in the days of Josiah (just before the Babylonian captivity). And after the captivity it was used by the Elephantine Jews of 5th century BCE Egypt. It was also used by Ezra and Nehemiah of that same period, as well as the Qumran community two centuries later. Of course, through the Mishnah and the Talmud we learn that the Rabbis of the 2nd to the 5th century CE also followed a fall-to-fall calendar. We cannot say that they only used a fall calendar during the time of the existence of the nation of Israel, for there is also evidence (both Scriptural and historical) for the use of a spring calendar during that time. However, the idea that they only used a spring calendar or that the fall calendar was a later innovation, is proven to be false by the evidence presented in this study. So, while some believe that the original calendar was a spring-to-spring calendar, the Scriptural and historical evidence conclusively supports the fact that the original calendar was a fall-to-fall calendar, that the spring calendar was introduced to Israel at the time of the Exodus, and that both calendars (the spring and the fall calendar) were in continuous use even up to and including the present day. In Judaism today, Rosh Hashanah (meaning "the head of the year") is celebrated on Tishri 1 as the beginning of the Jewish civil year, and it would seem this practice can be documented going back at least 2200 years.49
Another chronologist, Roger Beckwith, in his book Calendar and Chronology, Jewish and Christian, points out that it is not just the opinion of the Rabbis that forms the basis of a fall new year, but historical documentation from a wide assortment of sources both prior to and contemporaneous with the days of Messiah:
The Jews had four new-year days, (M. Rosh ha-Shanah 1:1), but much the most important were Nisan 1, the new year for feasts, etc., and Tishri 1, the new year for sabbatical and jubilee years etc. The former of these is the more prominent in the Old Testament, but the later is also found there, and has lately been the centre of a great deal of attention. It was recognized at Qumran, as well as in mainstream Judaism: in the Qumran literature also, "Rosh ha-Shanah" (New Year's Day) is a title for the feast on Tishri 1.∫ First century evidence for the Tishri New-year is provided by Philo . . . and Josephus . . . and in the rabbinic literature it is attested from the outset.50
It would seem that history and Scripture confirm the use of a Tishri (fall-to-fall) calendar in ancient history, all the way back to the times of Noah (c. 2400 BCE). Now in summary here are some Scripture questions which we should ponder: Why does the 8th Hebrew month Bul mean "rain," and a closely related word mabul mean "flood," unless these are also connected with the flood of Noah (Genesis 7:11) in the 2nd month of a fall calendar? Why would the author of the book of Kings say it took seven years for building the temple, yet it would take eight years based upon a Nisan calendar? How could Josiah still be in his 18th year by the time of Passover using a Nisan calendar (which begins two weeks before Passover), when he was also in his 18th year several months earlier? Why would Nehemiah and the Elephantine Jews (five centuries before the coming of Messiah) use a fall-to-fall calendar to date the reigns of Persian kings, when the Persians themselves would not typically do this? Why would Genesis 7:11 give us a fall calendar date for the time of the flood using a fall-to-fall calendar? Why would Josephus lend support to such a calendar (based on Genesis 7:11) in use prior to the exodus, calling it "the original order"? And finally, why would Moses command that the trumpet of the Jubilee should announce the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25:8-10) in the month of Tishri, if the Jubilee year did not actually start at that time? Blowing a trumpet to announce something important (like the start of the year of Jubilee), and yet that Jubilee year would have started either six months in the past or six months into the future, does not really make much sense! We could ask other questions as well, but this will be sufficient. The only reasonable explanation to all of these questions is that the original calendar from Creation started in the fall and the Jews still continued to use this Tishri calendar for dating "foreign kings," for "the reckoning of years," and other matters, such as buying and selling and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years. Since we have already clearly established that the Tishri calendar had to have been the original calendar in the time of Noah, it would also (naturally) have to be the calendar used to determine Sabbatical and Jubilee years―since those cycles have also been shown (through the Jubilee Code) to have existed from the time of Creation.
