When the destruction does occur what might we be in store for the United States in the near future? We briefly speculated above, but let’s ponder these things more intently. First let me call your attention to some recent news articles. Is this the way the plan will unfold? We will have to wait and see but we know that the illuminati plan calls for the United States as the mythical Phoenix bird, to be destroyed and then resurrected in a greater more glorious form. Their plan also tells us that the United States is supposed to be a part of the North American Union with Canada and Mexico and will have a new currency. I believe that the planned destruction of the United States will be the catalyst to bring this about. Look at this crop circle depicting a burning phoenix discovered in June 2009 in the U.K., which I believe is of demonic/ufo origin. Is this a sign that the phoenix will burn soon?

Countdown to Birth of 'Lucifer' 2010-2012

Sometimes fiction is just fiction. Sometimes life mimics art. Sometimes reality and fantasy are the same... in real time.
The graphic collage above is from a recent episode of Battlestar Galactica aired December 8, 2006 on SciFi Channel. Titled 'The Passage', the episode had a simple storyline: The fleet's food supply has been contaminated with radiation, which forces them to go to a certain planet. To get there they have to go through a highly radioactive star cluster and the pilots are given octagonal badges to monitor radiation levels (radiation turns the badge increasingly black). The mission is extremely dangerous and proves deadly for some, including a heroic pilot who stays in the radioactive area too long trying to save a civilian ship. The fleet does manage to get past the star cluster.
In the real world and on the same day (December 8, 2006), Earth was experiencing a severe radiation storm brought on by one of the two X-class solar flare unleashed on December 5/6, which was followed by another set of twin X-flares on December 13 and 14, powerful enough to raise some concerns for satellites in orbit around the earth.
 
Sun Unleashes Major Flare | Scientists Spot 'Tsunami' on the Sun
'X-flares' are those that belong to the most powerful category of solar flares (as explained here) and while they're not necessarily rare, the latest ones - four of them in a short period of time - caught people completely off-guard, as noted on space.com:
This latest event has set off a radiation storm that is preventing some sun-watching satellites from doing their jobs. Such storms are fairly common when the Sun is at its most active, but they are rare during the current low point in the 11-year cycle of solar activity.
The flares came out of nowhere... if you weren't paying attention to the multicontextual patterns encoded into the flow of 'reality'... for there actually was a stream of discernable signals pointing to the Sun, as suggested in 'X Marks the Spot' which was posted here on December 1st (that's four days before Sunspot 930 began exploding). The article contained a clear enough 'preview' of what was ahead right at the beginning and at the end:
Hmm... talk about 'X (flare) Marks the Spot'. (The 'double-sun' motif was cogently expressed through the twin double X-flares.) Speaking of 'prophetic' patterns, right now - 2006/2007 - is 'solar minimum' or when the Sun is supposed to be going through its quietest phase, which is also when the Sun begins a new cycle. The one starting now, labeled 'Cycle 24', is projected to peak ('solar maximum') in 2010-2012, ominously coinciding with the 'end' of the Mayan calendar.
The connection is intensified by the curious 'coincidence' of Mel Gibson's new film about the Mayan civilization, Apocalypto, being released on December 8th... right at the time of the solar flares/radiation storm and the 'radioactive' Battlestar Galactica episode.
December 8th is also our annual 'Damage Plan Disclosure Day', apparently acknowledged by the launch of Discovery STS-116, originally scheduled for December 7th and then pushed back to the 9th. 'Disclosure', 'Discovery', and 'Apocalypto', meaning 'I reveal', together conveyed basically the same 'message', hinting at a momentous revelation... concerning the Mayan 'end time'.
It also represented an 'instruction' prompting us to examine the Book of Revelation... specifically chapter 12 - corresponding to December the 12th month. Applying the early December time frame, we were apparently to pay attention to the beginning verses of the Revelation, which happen to tell a story I had already been carefully tracking as a 'script' underlying this very period and a development 'prophesied' during the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics in 2004... the year of the Transit of Venus.

 The 'woman clothed with the sun' would be the rare event of the goddess star Venus passing right in front of the Sun, called the 'Transit of Venus', that became the biggest celestial event of 2004 just a couple of months before the Athens Olympics where the story was reenacted through a pregnant woman giving birth to a 'messianic' child in front of a DNA double-helix 'dragon'.

Reddish Aldebaran – the fiery eye of the Bull in the constellation Taurus – is an aging star and a huge star! The computed diameter is between 35 and 40 solar diameters. If Aldebaran were placed where the sun is now, its surface would extend almost to the orbit of Mercury.
This star glows with the orangish color of a K5 giant star. In visible light, it is about 153 times brighter than the sun, although its surface temperature is lower (roughly 4000 kelvins compared to 5800 kelvins for the sun).

Aldebaran is about 65 light-years away, much closer than the stars of the Hyades with which it misleadingly seems associated. The Hyades are about 150 light-years away.
Aldebaran is an erratic variable with minor variations too small to be noticed by the eye. It also has a small, faint companion star, an M-type red dwarf, some 3.5 light-days away. In other words, light from Aldebaran would need to travel for 3.5 days to reach the companion, in contrast to light from our sun, which requires 8 minutes to travel to Earth.
Aldebaran is part of a V-shaped pattern of stars called the Hyades. This pattern represents the Face of the Bull in the constellation Taurus.
How to see it
Aldebaran is easy to find. Frequently imagined as the fiery eye of Taurus the Bull, Aldebaran is part of a V-shaped star grouping that forms the face of the Bull. This pattern is called the Hyades.
You can also locate Aldebaran using the famous constellation Orion as a guide. Simply locate the three stars of Orion’s Belt. Then draw an imaginary line through the belt to the right. The first bright star you come to will be Aldebaran with its distinctive reddish-orange glow.

Aldebaran is the 14th brightest star, but five of those that outshine it are only barely visible or not visible at all from much of the Northern Hemisphere. Aldebaran is primarily a winter and spring star. At least, that is when this red star is most easily visible in the evening sky. By early December, it rises shortly after sunset and is visible all night. Three months later it is high to the south at sunset, and sets at around midnight. By early May, it hangs low about the western sunset glow – and before the end of the month, it’s lost altogether. It returns to the predawn sky around late June.
By the way, although it appears among them, Aldebaran is not actually a member of the V-shaped Hyades cluster. It is actually much closer to us in space than the actual Hyades stars.
History and Myth
Aldebaran is often depicted as the fiery eye of Taurus the Bull. Because it is bright and prominent, Aldebaran was honored as one of the Four Royal Stars in ancient Persia, the other three Royal Stars being Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut.

The name Aldebaran is from the Arabic for “The Follower,” presumably as a hunter following prey, which here likely was the star cluster we call the Pleiades. The latter was often viewed as a flock of birds, perhaps doves. According to Richard Hinckley Allen in his classic book Star Names, the name Aldebaran once was applied to the entire Hyades star cluster, a large loose collection of faint stars.
In Hindu myth, Aldebaran was sometimes identified with a beautiful young woman named Rohini, disguised as an antelope and pursued by her lecherous father, disguised as a deer, Mriga. Apparently several ancient peoples associated the star with rain. The Wikipedia entry notes a Dakota Sioux story in which Aldebaran was a star which had fallen to the Earth and whose killing of a serpent led to the formation of the Mississippi River. Allen notes a number of other alternate names, but precious little mythology is known for Aldebaran separately.
Aldebaran is the name of one of the chariot horses in the movie Ben Hur.
On a different note, astronomer Jack Eddy has suggested a connection with the Big Horn Medicine Wheel, an ancient circle of stones atop a mountain in Wyoming. Eddy wrote that the ancient Americans may have used this site as a sort of observatory to view the rising of Aldebaran just before the sun in June to predict the June solstice.
Interestingly, in about two million years, the American spaceprobe Pioneer 10, now heading out into deep space, will pass Aldebaran.

Speaking of that, perhaps I should go ahead and do some data dump here concerning the last Damage Plan Event (Midway, Chicago). Let's do that in a crash course fashion. Hopefully you get it, if not, well, don't worry about it... at least your sub/unconscious mind will get the gist. :) The most basic contextual foundation here is that December 8th is 'Damage Plan Disclosure Day' - when things happen that contain 'seeds' of information concerning major 'Damage Events' ahead. This was first noticed in 2004 (the Damageplan concert shooting event in Columbus, Ohio) partly through which we were able to anticipate the upcoming exit of Pope John Paul II and the Sumatra 'Great Flood', though the latter was seen to have been foreshadowed by the DP Day event along with a few others more clearly in hindsight. (Based on multicontextual signals that preceded it, we were actually anticipating something substantial to take place on 12/8/04.)
Exactly a year after that original Damage Plan Disclosure scheme came the plane crash/hard-landing at Midway Airport in Chicago. Aside from being a 'kamikaze' incident (by that time plane crashes were considered to be practically always major 'signals' relating to that 'divine wind' motif), the location of Chicago itself was already a telling 'signal' making reference to the last major Damage Event, as you can see:
Taking a closer look, it quickly became obvious that the shape of the airport where the incident took place was ('Midway' = balance = justice/judgment) very much in accordance with many of the 'underground' themes/contexts, prominently the 'cross-quarter' concept. (And 'cross quarter days' are of course those that come right at the halfway point between a solstice and a equinox.) The following decoding was done by the end of last year (2005):

The Axes of Paris are aligned with key sites in the US as you should know by now, and in 2005 it was most notable that the 'Tower Axis' (the axis of the Eiffel Tower/Champ de Mars) was aligned with the landing site of the sole space shuttle mission in 2005 ('Return to Flight').
There is a big secret yet to be revealed concerning this but that's for another time. It was a supremely important event and as a matter of fact without it we wouldn't be talking about Paris and the US Golden Transit Line and such as we have done all year. It facilitated discoveries of such momentous revelations - 'Grail' stuff - that we have never looked at space shuttle missions the same way again. In a way, 'Enki' speaks the loudest through NASA - and why not, NASA is the organization that bridges heaven and earth at this point in history. NASA is the Tower of Babel through which 'divine' Communication can take place a la the Ark of the Covenant - symbolically speaking. In this sense, the lightening strike of Atlantis STS-115 right before launch day in August (delayed as a result) was highly telling and ominous development, evoking the Tarot cart #16 - discussed in my Gateway to War article. 'Atlantis', as 'Atlas', is a tower figure as in the 'Pillars of Hercules' embodying the lost world famously described in Plato's writings. So that's very fitting indeed. On a symbolic level, the storyline has to do with the 'Stargate' project initiated by mankind being 'blocked' by... the 'gods' as per the famous story in the Book of Genesis. This closely related to the Great Flood story (which is the ultimate 'Judgment' event).
Keep in mind that it is the 'Tower Axis' of Paris that's aligned with Edwards AFB, where Discovery STS-114 made its 'Grail landfall' in August 2005 right during a cross-quarter window (Lughnasadh, early August). And the same alignment line passes right through the 'Genesis Crossroads' where NASA's Genesis (and Stardust) probe crash landed in 2004, thus intensifying the echo of the Genesis-driven events.
The force of 'Judgment' gaining momentum through this pattern is applicable to the Pope situation as touched on in Gateway to War. The #16 tarot card and the '#16' Pope (i.e. Benedict XVI) cannot be seen separately, and the fact that the period of great trouble for the Pope in September (caused by his anti-Islam rhetoric) almost perfectly coincided with the Atlantis STS-115 mission, and the fact that I saw it coming days before he made the controversial speech in Germany, should speak volumes and can be viewed as a clear foreshadowing of what's ahead for the Pope/Church. The Vatican/Church can easily be seen as a form of the Tower of the Babel, (supposedly) occupying the space between heaven and earth or the realms of God and men.

Bernabé (en griego Βαρναβᾶς) La Sagrada escritura lo presenta como un apóstol[2] y como San Pablo, considerado por la Iglesia en la categoría de los doce aunque no sea ninguno de ellos, originario de Chipre, fue un judío que pertenecía a la tribu de Leví, vivió durante el siglo I.

Su nombre original era José. Los apóstoles lo cambiaron por el de Bernabé, que significa Hijo de la Exhortación, aunque según San Lucas significa el esforzado, el que anima y entusiasma.[3]
Los Hechos de los Apóstoles afirman, en el capítulo 4 versículos 34 a 37, que Bernabé vendió su finca y el producto que de ella obtuvo lo entregó a los apóstoles para distribuir entre los pobres.
Fue un gran colaborador de San Pablo quien a su regreso a Jerusalén, tres años después de su conversión, recibió de Bernabé apoyo ante los demás apóstoles, e intercesión para obtener la aceptación del resto de los apóstoles de Jerusalén a su ministerio.
No se encuentra entre los doce elegidos por Jesucristo, pero probablemente fue uno de los setenta discípulos mencionados en el Evangelio. Bernabé es considerado apóstol por los primeros Padres de la Iglesia y también por San Lucas por la misión especial que le confió el Espíritu Santo.
Los Apóstoles lo apreciaban mucho por ser "un buen hombre, lleno de fe y del Espíritu Santo" (Hechos 11,24), por eso lo eligieron para la evangelización de Antioquía. Con sus prédicas aumentaron los convertidos

[editar] Labor con Pablo
Se fue a Tarso, y se asoció con San Pablo. Juntos obtuvieron un éxito extraordinario. Regresaron a Antioquía, donde permanecieron por un año. Éste se convirtió en el gran centro de evangelización y donde por primera vez se le llamó Cristianos a los seguidores de la doctrina de Cristo.
Volvieron a Jerusalén enviados por los Cristianos de la floreciente iglesia de Antioquía, con una colecta para los que estaban pasando hambre en Judea.
El Espíritu Santo habló por medio de los maestros y profetas que adoraban a Dios: "Separad a Pablo y Bernabé, para una tarea que les tengo asignada".
Después de ayuno y oración Pablo y Bernabé recibieron la misión y la imposición de manos.
Partieron acompañados de Juan Marcos, primo de Bernabé, futuro evangelista, a predicar a otros lugares, entre estos
Fueron luego a Perga en Panfilia, donde se inició el más peligroso viaje misionero. Juan Marcos no estaba muy decidido y les abandonó, regresando solo a Jerusalén. Luego prosiguieron su viaje misionero por las ciudades y naciones del Asia Menor.
En Iconio, capital de Licaonia, estuvieron a punto de morir apedreados por la multitud. Se refugiaron en Listra, donde el Señor por medio de San Pablo curó milagrosamente a un paralítico y por esa razón los habitantes paganos dijeron que los dioses los habían visitado, haciendo lo imposible evitaron que la población ofreciera sacrificios en honor a ellos y por eso se pasaron al otro extremo y lanzaron piedras contra San Pablo y lo dejaron maltrecho.
Tras una breve estancia en Derne, donde muchos se convirtieron, los dos Apóstoles volvieron a las ciudades que habían visitado previamente, para confirmar a los convertidos y para ordenar presbíteros. Recordaban que "es necesario pasar por muchas tribulaciones para entrar en el Reino de Dios" (Hch 14, 22). Después de completar la primera misión regresaron a Antioquía de Siria.
Poco después, algunos de los judíos cristianos, contrarios a las opiniones de Pablo y Bernabé, exigían que los nuevos cristianos, a parte de ser bautizados fueran circuncidados. A raíz de eso, se convocó al Concilio de Jerusalén. Se declaró entonces que los gentiles convertidos estaban exentos del deber de la circuncisión.
[editar] Segundo viaje misionero
Ante el segundo viaje misionero surgió un conflicto entre Pablo y Bernabé. Bernabé quería llevar a su primo Juan Marcos y Pablo se oponía por haberles abandonado en la mitad del primer viaje (por miedo a tantas dificultades). Por ello decidieron separarse. San Pablo se fue a su proyectado viaje con Silas y Bernabé partió a Chipre con Juan Marcos. lo cual según el evangelio lo llaman como el creador del evangelio Más tarde se volvieron a encontrar como amigos misionando en Corinto (1 Co. 9, 5-6), por lo que se deduce que Bernabé aún vivía y trabajaba en los años 56 o 57 P.C. Posteriormente San Pablo invita a Juan Marcos a unirse a él, cuando estaba preso en Roma, cosa que nos indica que Bernabé ya había muerto alrededor del año 60 o 61. Otros dicen que era predicador en Alejandría y Roma y primer obispo de Milán.
Escritos apócrifos hablan de un viaje a Roma y de su martirio, hacia el año 70, en Salamina, por mano de los judíos de la diáspora, que lo lapidaron. Tertuliano afirma que Bernabé escribió la Epístola a los Hebreos, otros creen que escribió en Alejandría la Epístola de Bernabé. En realidad, lo que se sabe de él tiene como fuente principal al Nuevo Testamento.

Mars, Saturn, and Spica
The tower erected in 1889 by freemason Gustave Eiffel (who also designed the inner structure of the Statue of Liberty) remains to this day the tallest structure in Paris. The Eiffel tower served as the entrance to the World’s Fair, opening out onto the Champ de Mars. The Mars Field is named after the Campus Martius in Rome, which honors the Roman god of war.
I’ve been using the most popular depiction of a man’s body ever made – Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian man – to uncover embodied urban symbolism, see Astana and the Olympics.
The Roman Vitruvius’ Ten Books of Architecture explained how effective temples are based on the human body. I have found just such a temple resonating with Mars in the heart of Paris.
Mars’ phallus obviously maps to the Eiffel tower, his navel power chakra maps to the fountain at the center of the paths, his heart chakra is on the cross axis with Mitterand’s ancient Egyptian-themed 1989 French bicentennial Monument of Human Rights, and the obelisk at Place Fontenoy is his pineal gland/third eye chakra. Incidentally, this same obelisk forms part of the solar alignment discussed in Secrets In Plain Sight – Volume 1.
Notice also that the Military School itself forms a collar to the Vitruvian man’s head and UNESCO forms a kind of helmet, horn, or Martian antenna.
The red and white fields resonate with the two hemispheres of the brain, the colors of upper and lower Egypt, the two springs at Glastonbury, or blood and semen. The lattermost pairing resonates with the killing and rape associated with war. You could say Mars is embodied at the scale of this famous linear urban complex. Is his power somehow magically transferred to the military school?
I find it fascinating that the Comte de Saint-Germain reorganized the Ecole Militaire in 1777. St. Germain is one of the most interesting persons in history.
Myths, legends and speculations about St. Germain began to be widespread in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and continue today. They include beliefs that he is immortal, the Wandering Jew, an alchemist with the “Elixir of Life”, a Rosicrucian, and that he prophesied the French Revolution. He is said to have met the forger Giuseppe Balsamo (alias Cagliostro) in London and the composer Rameau in Venice. Some groups honor Saint Germain as a supernatural being called an Ascended Master. -Source
Synchronicity: St. Germain is one of the main characters in a book I’m currently reading to my son, The Magician by Michael Scott.
Napoleon attended the Ecole Militaire in 1784 and is entombed very close by in Les Invalides.
Being familiar with David Wood’s book GenIsis (1985), I see a connection to the Mars linear complex in Paris. Before I tell you what that is, let me show you the structured landscape that Wood discovered 660 kilometers due South in the region of Rennes le Chateau.
When I first saw this geometry I dismissed it because it is not a regular pentagram but a pentacle. However I was far too hasty. After having recently read Wood’s follow up book that he wrote with Ian Campbell called GeneSet (1994), I see incredible wisdom in the diagram that wasn’t open to me until I grew to have eyes to see it.
If the green circle has a radius of 1 then its circumference is exactly 2 Pi. The amazing thing is, the golden triangle also has a perimeter of 2 Pi (99.8% accurate). So in a sense this diagram is every bit as important as Squaring the Circle is in sacred geometry. I think of this as Triangulating the Circle.
The key to Triangulating the Circle is dividing the circle into 15 parts as was done with the gray 15 pointed star. This 15 part division was suggested by the placement of the towns around Rennes le Chateau and that is how Wood chanced upon this geometric discovery.
In GenIsis Wood mentions the Osiris story and how it is usually reported that Set cut Osiris’ body into 14 pieces and threw his phallus into the Nile. He claims there were therefore a total of 15 pieces rather than 14 as is usually reported. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. There really are 15 parts to the male body if you count them. The 15th part would be the pointy extension in the diagram that penetrates the circle. It has a 36 degree internal angle just like the regular pentagram.
I noticed another intriguing layer embedded in Wood’s diagram. In John Martineau’s A Little Book of Coincidence in the Solar System he mentions that Saturn’s and Earth’s sizes (99%) and mean orbits (98%) are given by a 15 pointed star such that the inner circle represents Earth and the outer circle represents Saturn.
Immanuel Velikovsky equated Saturn with Osiris in his book In the Beginning.

Today using Google Earth I drew a circle that hits Rennes le Chateau, Cassaignes, Serres, Bugarach, and Saint-Just-et-le-Bezu (see enlarged diagram) and noticed that its area is 66,666,666 square meters. Amazing. This is the circumcircle in Wood’s diagram, shown in blue in my Google Earth image.
Then I copied the longitude of the center of this circle and flew back to Paris where I created a placemark along the Eiffel tower- Champ de Mars axis. Guess where this exact center point is: the center of la Place de Breteuil. This point is therefore perfectly due north of the center point of the same sized circle in the Languedoc. It is the intersection point of the Eiffel tower- Champ de Mars axis with the axis of Les Invalides where Napoleon was entombed. Breteuil was the Minister of War twice under Louis XV.
Drawing a circle with an area of 66,666,666 square meters from la Place de Breteuil has a resonance with Leonardo’s Vitruvian man because the center point is at the top of the circumcircle around the urban body of Mars and the corners of Leonardo’s page are touched by the circle itself.
The red line from the obelisk at Place Fontenoy traces the central axis of embodied Mars straight through the Eiffel tower at a heading of 314 degrees, recalling Pi.
Extending this line across the earth it goes directly to the center of Danebury iron age hill fort in the UK. Built in the the 6th century BC, Danebury is an intriguing place for the Paris Mars axis to end up for several reasons.
The Meteoritical Society lists the ‘first British meteorite find’ from the Danebury hill fort site. -Source I’m going to hazard a guess that this meteorite came from Mars.
Just a stone’s throw from the “hill fort” was a Roman villa or country farmhouse whose central floor mosaic has survived and been recently installed in the Museum of the Iron Age in nearby Andover. The Fullerton Mosaic depicts Mars at the center of the main room.
In the book Two-Thirds: A History of Our Galaxy (1993), the author David P. Myers tells an amazing story of an extra-terrestrial human civilization that colonized Mars eons ago and after a great war, they eventually came to our planet which they called…wait for it…Danebury. So perhaps the Danebury ring actually depicts the Earth. If so then the Paris Eiffel-Champ de Mars axis represents the colonists coming from Mars to Earth! All written out on the ground in plain sight.
Myers also goes on to draw a parallel between Cydonia on Mars and the Avebury/Silbury Hill complex. He claims the Martian colonists actually built Avebury ring and Silbury Hill as a mirror of their destroyed settlement on Mars. Here I’ve overlaid Google Mars imagery over Google Earth imagery and you can see the large crater and conical mound do match Avebury ring and Silbury Hill. The face on mars isn’t represented on earth (it’s a field) nor is the 5 sided pyramidal structure.
On August 5th 2012, Curiosity, NASA’s next Mars rover is scheduled to land on the red planet. August 5th just happens to be the date when a very special astronomical event occurs. An equilateral triangle (eye of God) forms with Mars, Saturn, and Spica in the constellation Virgo. All 3 are first magnitude objects and this arrangement will be easy to spot almost everywhere on Earth. Thanks to Daniel White for posting this intriguing video on my facebook wall.

Rose Line

Rose Line is a fictional name given to the Paris Meridian and to the sunlight line defining the exact time of Easter on the Gnomon of Saint-Sulpice, marked by a brass strip on the floor of the church in the Priory of Sion mythology, where the two are conflated.

The fictional name Rose Line was also popularized by Dan Brown in his 2003 novel, The Da Vinci Code.[1]

The 1967 Priory of Sion document Au Pays de la Reine Blanche[2][3] states that "Rennes-les-Bains is located precisely on the Zero Meridian, which connects Saint-Sulpice in Paris" adding that "the parish of Rennes-les-Bains guards the heart of Roseline", being a reference to Saint Roseline de Villeneuve. Au Pays de la Reine Blanche also referred to "the line of the Zero Meridian, that is to say the red line, in English: 'Rose-line'".[4] Later in 1978, Pierre Plantard also referred to the "red line of the meridian, the 'Rose-Line'...since Roseline, the Abbess of the 'Celle aux Arcs', celebrates her feast day on 17 January... and her legend is well worth a read".[5]
The document entitled Le Serpent Rouge - Notes sur Saint-Germain-des-Près et Saint-Sulpice de Paris[6] conflates the Paris Meridian with a gnomon in the Parisian church of Saint-Sulpice marked in the floor with a brass line, which it calls the "Red Serpent".
Philippe de Chérisey in his document Stone and Paper recounted a story that a Roseline was also the name of his acquaintance: "there was a Roseline I knew who died on 6 August 1967, on the Feast of the Transfiguration, when leaving the zero meridian by car."[7] Another document by Philippe de Chérisey entitled Circuit,[8] in Chapter VII, adds the detail that Roseline was killed in a car accident whilst working as a double on the Television film La beauté sur la terre (1968),[9] a film that also starred Philippe de Chérisey under his stage name of Amédée.[10] The story about Roseline in Circuit also involves an imaginary character named Charlot who appears frequently throughout Circuit and both characters are patently imaginary beings appearing in one of Philippe de Chérisey's surrealist compositions.
Chapter XIII of Circuit is devoted to the Zero Meridian, with de Chérisey claiming it was established by Till Eulenspiegel (before Jean Picard), listing key sites that it passes through (in a fictional work attributed to Abbé François-Pierre Cauneille). In this chapter Roseline is called 'Fisher Woman', preferring herself to be known as "Di O Nysos, DON" ("dondon" is French slang for "fat woman"), an otherworldly being who organises funerals for the dead who are still living in her new Citroen 2CV (the make of car she was killed in).

The term Rose Line has been popularized by Dan Brown in his novel The Da Vinci Code as an alternate name for "the world's first prime meridian",[1] identified as the Paris Meridian.[11] Brown's novel also conflates this meridian with a gnomon in the Parisian church of Saint-Sulpice marked in the floor with a brass line,[12] as did the 1967 Priory Document Le Serpent Rouge - Notes sur Saint-Germain-des-Près et Saint-Sulpice de Paris. The Paris Meridian actually passes about 100 metres east of the gnomon,[13] which according to author Sharan Newman and a sign in the church was "never called a Rose-Line".[12][14] A St Sulpice booklet dating from 2000, in the page about the history of the gnomon describes the brass line as "a meridian", it does not use the term Roseline or Rose Line.[15] Author Paul Murdin describes such sun lines as a "Meridian", or meridiana.[16]
Brown identified the Paris Meridian with the alleged bloodline of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene as well as Rosslyn Chapel, the central part of his novel. Quoting from The Da Vinci Code:
"Rosslyn Chapel's entrance was more modest than Langdon expected. The small wooden door had two iron hinges and a simple oak sign, Roslin. This ancient spelling, Langdon explained to Sophie, derived from the Rose Line meridian on which the chapel sat; or, as Grail academics preferred to believe, from the 'Line of the Rose' — the ancestral lineage of Mary Magdalene..."[17]
Quoting Mark Oxbrow and Ian Robertson from their book Rosslyn and the Grail:
"Dan Brown simply invented the 'Rose Line' linking Rosslyn and Glastonbury. The name 'Roslin' definitely does not derive from any 'hallowed Rose Line'. It has nothing to do with a 'Rose Bloodline' or a 'Rose Line meridian'. There are many medieval spellings of 'Rosslyn'. 'Roslin' is certainly not the 'original spelling': it is now the most common spelling for the village."[18]
At the climax of the novel, the protagonist follows the line of Arago medallions to the Louvre museum, where (according to the book) the Paris Meridian passes beneath the so-called Inverted Pyramid in an underground mall in front of the museum. Following the tradition of esoteric interpretations of this meridian, the novel hints that this is the final resting place of the Holy Grail. The fact that the meridian passes near the Inverted Pyramid is also noted in the book Le guide du Paris maçonnique by Raphäel Aurillac, who likewise ascribes some deeper, esoteric significance to this.
In the Louvre area, the meridian line marked by the Arago medallions actually runs through the museum and the great courtyard at a spot considerably to the east of the Inverted Pyramid. The medallions in the museum are behind ticketed access points, while the Inverted Pyramid is located in a public mall next to the museum.
Other landmarks said to lie on the line are Arques and Conques,[19] the Lady of the Roses cathedral in Rodez, St. Vincent's in Carcassonne, and the Church of St. Stephen's in Bourges, and Rennes-les-Bains.
While Dan Brown presents the Rose Line as "the world's first prime meridian",[1] the idea of establishing a Prime Meridian dates back to antiquity,[20] with suggested meridians running through Rhodes or the Canary Islands. When Greenwich was adopted as the universal zero longitude in 1884[21] (not 1888 as the novel says), it had at least nine rivals besides Paris (Berlin, Cadiz, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Rio, Rome, Saint Petersburg, Stockholm, and Tokyo).
