“ALPHA”   ~~~   APHELION    (farthest point in the twin orbit / safest)

“OMEGA”   ~~~   PERIHELION    (closest point in the twin orbit / most dangerous)

And this underlying motif would be the reason most deities are SOLAR figures,  as they serve to encode this knowledge
