Emad El-Din Mohamed Abdel Mena'em Fayed[b] (; 15 April 1955[a] – 31 August 1997), commonly known as Dodi Fayed,[c] was an Egyptian film producer and the eldest child of the businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed. He was romantically involved with Diana, Princess of Wales, when they both died in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997.
Early life and education

Fayed was born in Alexandria, Egypt, the eldest child of Mohamed Al Fayed (1929–2023). His father later became the owner of Harrods department store, Fulham Football Club, and the Hôtel Ritz Paris.[11] Fayed's mother Samira Khashoggi (1935–1986),[12] was a Saudi author.[13] She was a daughter of Muhammad Khashoggi and sister of Saudi billionaire arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. She and her brother were first cousins of the late Washington Post Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was assassinated in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul in 2018.[14]
Fayed had four half siblings from his father's second marriage to Heini Wathén: Omar, Camilla, Karim, and Jasmine Fayed.[12][15]
Fayed was a student at Collège Saint Marc in Alexandria before attending the Institut Le Rosey in Rolle, Switzerland.[16][17] He also briefly attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.[11]
After completing his education, he worked as an attaché at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in London.[17]
Through his family's production company, Allied Stars, Fayed was an executive producer of the films Chariots of Fire, Breaking Glass, F/X, F/X2, Hook, and The Scarlet Letter, and an executive creative consultant for F/X: The Series. He also worked for his father on marketing for Harrods.[2]
In 1986, Fayed married model Suzanne Gregard. They divorced eight months later. According to her memoir, Babylon Confidential, Claudia Christian had an on-again, off-again romance with Fayed.[18]
In 1997, Fayed reportedly became engaged to American model Kelly Fisher. With money from his father, he bought a house in Malibu, California, for Fisher and himself.[19]
In July 1997, Fayed became romantically involved with Diana, Princess of Wales, after entertaining her on his yacht Cujo.[20][21] Fisher learned of Fayed's relationship with Diana only after seeing paparazzi photos of the two embracing. Fisher announced that she was filing a breach of contract suit against him, saying he had "led her emotionally all the way up to the altar and abandoned her when they were almost there," and that he "threw her love away in a callous way with no regard for her whatsoever".[22] Fayed denied that he was ever engaged to Fisher.[23] Fisher dropped the lawsuit shortly after Fayed's death.[24]

In the early hours of 31 August 1997, Diana and Fayed died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma underpass in Paris. They had stopped in Paris en route to London after spending nine days on holiday in the French and Italian Rivieras aboard his family's yacht, the Jonikal. Neither Fayed nor Diana was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.[25] The only survivor of the crash was bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones.
Investigations by French and British police concluded that the chauffeur, Henri Paul, was driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs. They also reported that paparazzi chasing the couple were believed to have contributed to the accident.[26][27]
Fayed's father, Mohamed Al-Fayed, said that the couple "were executed by MI6 agents".[28] Fayed's former spokesman, Michael Cole, has said that the couple became engaged before their deaths.[29]
Fayed was originally buried in Brookwood Cemetery near Woking, Surrey, but was re-interred in October 1997 on the grounds of Barrow Green Court, the family estate in Oxted, Surrey.[30][31]

Fayed's father erected two memorials to his son and Diana at Harrods. The first, unveiled on 12 April 1998, consists of photos of them behind a pyramid-shaped display containing a wine glass smudged with lipstick from Diana's final dinner, and the ring Fayed had purchased for her the day before they died.[32] The second, unveiled in 2005 and titled Innocent Victims, is a 3-metre (9.8-foot) high bronze statue of the two dancing on a beach, beneath the wings of an albatross, a symbol of freedom and eternity.[33]
The memorials were designed by Bill Mitchell, a close friend of Fayed's father who had worked for the Fayed family for more than 40 years, including as a designer at Harrods.[34] Fayed's father sold Harrods in 2010.
In January 2018, the manager of Harrods announced that the statue would be returned to the Al-Fayed family. He noted that Diana's sons William and Harry had commissioned a memorial to be installed at Kensington Palace, which the public could visit.[35]

Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed's brief romance is being explored on The Crown.
After being introduced in season 5 of the Netflix series, actor Khalid Abdalla continues to portray the Egyptian billionaire scion who was romantically involved with Diana (played by Elizabeth Debicki) in the show's sixth and final season.
The couple dated for a few months before their untimely deaths in late August 1997, when their car crashed in Paris. As a result of the crash, Fayed and their driver died instantly, while Diana died hours later from her injuries.
Their relationship will be further explored in the show's sixth season as the series documents Diana's final days.

Fayed was the eldest son of the Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed, and his only son with his first wife Samira Khashoggi. Though Egyptian-born, Al-Fayed was well known for his business ventures in Europe, including his former ownership of Harrods department store and Fulham F.C. in the United Kingdom as well as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Paris, where Diana spent her last meal and evening with Fayed before their car crash.
As shown on The Crown, Al-Fayed also had an interesting connection to the royal family, as he took over the lease of Paris' Villa Windsor (the former home of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor) following Wallis Simpson's death. He also worked closely with Sydney Johnson, who was the former valet of Edward VIII.

Following his graduation from Sandhurst Military Academy, Fayed had plans to join the Dubai air force but instead briefly worked as an attaché at the United Arab Emirates embassy in London, per Vanity Fair.

Fayed executive produced a handful of big films in the '80s and '90s, including Chariots of Fire, Hook, and The Scarlet Letter. The former took home Best Picture at the 1982 Oscars, where producer David Puttnam thanked Fayed and his father during his speech.

La trágica muerte de la princesa Diana y Dodi Al- Fayed
El 31 de agosto de 1997 el mundo quedó conmocionado por la trágica muerte de la princesa Diana y Dodi Al- Fayed en un accidente automovilístico en el túnel Pont de l'Alma en París. Después de dejar el Ritz Hotel, donde estaban alojados, la pareja fue perseguida por los paparazzi.

Dodi Al Fayed fue un empresario que causó revuelo cuando se dio a conocer que era novio de Lady Di y quien lamentablemente perdió la vida el mismo día que la madre de los príncipes William y Harry. Por si fuera poco, Dodi siempre demostró su gusto por el cine y ayudó a financiar algunas películas, entre ellas una que le ganó el Oscar a Steven Spielberg.
En la quinta temporada de The Crown, la cual llegó a Netflix este 9 de noviembre vemos un poco de la historia de Dodi Al Fayed y entre los hechos que nos muestran se encuentran el momento en el que decide producir una de las películas que se hizo acreedora a algunos Oscar: Carros de Fuego.

Lion of Amphipolis

The Lion of Amphipolis (Greek: Λέων της Αμφίπολης) is a 4th-century BC tomb sculpture near Amphipolis, Macedonia, northern Greece. According to Oscar Broneer and archaeologist Dimitris Lazaridis, the first person excavating in the area in the 1960s, it was set up in honour of Laomedon of Mytilene, an important general of Alexander the Great, king of Macedon.
It is now located about 1 km outside the south gate of the ancient city.
The discovery of the monument is connected to the modern history of Greek Macedonia, as the first parts of it were found initially by Greek soldiers during the First Balkan War in 1912–13 when they drained the Strymonas river bed (where the stone from the Lion’s plinth had been used in a dam in or after the Roman period) to build the modern bridge.[1] They were followed by British soldiers a few years later in 1916, during World War I, who also discovered significant parts of the monument while building fortifications at the bridge. The British tried to steal (evidence required) the pieces, but a Bulgarian attack prevented their plans.
In the early 1930s, during works for draining part of Lake Kerkini nearby, there was a discovery of an ancient bridge and close to it in the river mud further, very large pieces of the marble lion. In 1937, and thanks to Lincoln MacVeagh, the US ambassador in Greece at the time, there was a private initiative along with support and funds from the Greek government to restore the Lion of Amphipolis, which eventually came to be in its current form. The whole process has been documented thoroughly by Oscar Broneer in his book The Lion of Amphipolis published in 1941.
Although in seated position, the lion is larger and bulkier than the one erected at Chaeronea and has a height of more than 4 m in its main body. Taking into account the base, it is taller than 8 m. The head has a width of 2 m. Its craftsmanship shows a work of the 5th or first half of 4th century BC. As to when it was erected, there is no agreement between experts as there is no mention of it in ancient sources.

The Phoenix Storm

Haiyan was no ordinary storm. It was a meteorological Big One...
...from the wings of the phoenix.
Here is how to "decoded" it...Haiyan was called "Yolanda" in the Philippines, meaning "violet" or basically purple, which happens to be the original meaning of the name "phoenix". And right around the time of Haiyan/Yolanda there was a space ritual taking place involving a "feather of the phoenix" in the form of a Olympic Torch visiting the International Space Station (ISS)...
The Olympic torch relay leading to the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, chalked up a space first Saturday, with two cosmonauts staging a symbolic handoff, passing the torch back and forth while posing for publicity shots during a six-hour spacewalk at the International Space Station. [...]
 
In this symbolic context we would see the feather/wing of the phoenix above (Olympic Torch) driving super typhoon Haiyan/Yolando below.
It makes a lot of sense too that there was that violet/purple phoenix at the end of the 2012 London Olympics rising from torches. In hindsight that was when the Olympic Torch transformed into the phoenix (feather) for the subsequent Olympic Games in Russia/2014. So what we are seeing right now is essentially the continuation and intensification of that big Super Torch Ritual.
We are also reminded of the fact that the same London phoenix already "gave birth" to not one but two major world figures via the Golden Ratio (phi)... Pope Francis and Prince George (William & Kate's baby).
It was a telling coincidence that the day the royal baby was born (July 22, 2013) was also the day Pope Francis arrived in Rio, Brazil (his first major trip overseas as pope).
The Pope Shift and the Russian/Sochi Olympics may be linked via the Russian meteor strike back in February 2013, as it closely coincided with the previous pope, Benedict XVI, announcing his resignation plan.
This temporal entanglement is supplemented by a spatial alignment uniting the meteor, Rome, and Rio in effect anticipating the new pope's big trip there in July.
There was also a polar alignment from the meteor strike site generating another Golden Ratio.
The 2010 "Mystery Missile" near Catalina Island/Los Angeles pinpointed in this alignment, as you may recall from our 2011 article Lucifer's Destiny, was part of a "Double Omen" that unfolded on November 8th in 2010, or exactly 3 years before super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda/Phoenix this year!

It was "double" in nature as it was a combination of two events, the Mystery Missile and a crippled cruise ship, that constituted a major "omen". And it just so happens that earlier this year (2013) we witnessed a repeat of the Double Omen in the form of the Russian meteor and a cruise ship emergency taking place simultaneously...

In both cases a major William-Kate Royal Union event followed about a 5 month later, namely the Royal Wedding (Apr 29, 2011) and the Royal Baby Birth (July 22, 2013). It's been well established around here that the Royal Union stuff is a big part of the Double Omen scheme... along with the "Big One". (See Lucifer's Destiny.)

The Japanese Birthquake (& nuclear disaster) striking less than 2 months before the Royal Wedding was a seismic Big One, whereas typhoon Hiyan/Yolanda a few months after the Royal Baby Birth was a meteorological Big One (and notice the "meteor" in the term "meteorology"). In both the phoenix was found heavily embedded as a key theme.It's worth noting that using the dates of the Japanese Birthquake and the "end" of the Mayan calendar we can produce the following Golden Ratio timeline... pointing ahead to January 27, 2014.
That's just a few days shy of: 1) Super Bowl (Feb 2), 2) Russian/Sochi Olympics (Feb 7-23), and 3) the Chinese New Year (Jan 31)... the Year of the Wood Horse.That last brings to mind the Trojan Horse, in the Greek tradition called the "Wooden Horse"...
...of the Trojan War, ultimately started by the Golden Apple of Discord.
That's our super theme and we've been tracking it very closely for a few years now, especially this year when Venus has been in its Evening Star phase or Hesperus in Greek from which derives the name of the nymphs " Hesperides" who tend the garden in which golden apples are grown. The Evening Star will attain its maximum brightness in December 2013 (around Dec 8-11). A little later in the same month, there is going to be an Orange Alignment, which is our unique term for a Venus-Sun-Mercury alignment, a very reliable omen/time marker for a certain type of major world events including severe earth changes. In many languages, oranges are called "golden apples". Thus Orange Alignment = Golden Apple Alignment.
It will be a very special alignment this time indeed for various reasons. For one, it will coincide with the winter solstice, exactly one year after the "end" of the Mayan calendar. The winter solstice is also pinpointed by the latitude of two Brazilian cities Rio and (more precisely) Sao Paulo sitting on the Tropic of Capricorn marking the angle of the winter-solstice Sun reflected on the surface of the earth.  
...just like the Olympic Torch in space (phoenix feather) in November.
And here's the kicker: In Russian folklore, the feather of the phoenix/firebird is directly connected to golden apples!
A king's apple tree bore golden apples, but every night, one was stolen. Guards reported that the Firebird stole them. The king told his two oldest sons that the one who caught the bird would receive half his kingdom and be his heir. They drew lots to see who would be first, but both fell asleep; they tried to claim it had not come, but it had stolen an apple. Finally Ivan Tsarevich, the youngest son, asked to try; his father was reluctant because of his youth but consented. Ivan remained awake the entire time, and upon seeing the bird, tried to catch it by the tail. Unfortunately, Ivan only managed to grasp one feather. The Firebird did not return, but the king longed for the bird. He said that still, whoever caught it would have half his kingdom and be his heir. [...]
So the overall pattern is unmistakable. Phoenix, Olympics, torch, Trojan golden apple, meteor Deep Impact, ISON, popes, Super Bowl... all heavily entangled omens and themes becoming one big storm roaring toward 2014. Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda was a major impact event/signal for the new season and the temporal/multicontextual shock waves from it reverberating into the past and future are substantial. The rest of this year (2013) is filled with "golden apples" (of discord), ominously paving the way for the Year of the Wood/Trojan Horse (2014). Chaos and "Trojan War" still very much in the air...
