Good afternoon my, Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Grace is God's kindness and favor to us...
Today I will be speaking of God's grace for us. It is an undeserved favor for us.
Romans 11:5-6 Tyndale Life Application Study Bible states the following...
5 "It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God's grace---his undeserved kindness in choosing them. 6 And since it is through God's kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God's grace would not be what it really is---free and undeserved."
We live in a world full of sin, but if we put our faith in Jesus Christ our Savior, we will receive God's grace.
Romans 5:12-21 Tyndale Life Application Study Bible states the following...
Adam and Christ Contrasted
12 "When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 13 Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. 14 Still, everyone died--from the time of Adam to the time of Moses--even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ who was yet to come. 15 But there is a great difference between Adam's sin and God's gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many.
But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. 16 And the result of God's gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man's sin. For Adam's sin led to condemnation , but God's free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.
18 Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners, But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
20 God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant. 21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
When we have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, we are made alive with Christ. A very beautiful scripture about God's grace is the following...
Ephesians 2:1-10 Tyndale Life Application Study Bible states the following...
Made Alive with Christ
1. "Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world obeying the devil---the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,
5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this, it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
God has shown us so many beautiful passages in the Bible of his love for us. The only thing we can do is love and praise our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ our Savior and the Holy Spirit for their love for us by giving us eternal life. God has done this by His love, favor and kindness for us.
May God keep blessing you is my desire...
