I suspected Mount Tabor might have interesting coordinates so I had a look at your
Wiki link and indeed it does..!
It straddles the 33 degree North latitude...and if you go by the old Paris meridian,
rather than Greenwich...it is 33 degrees, (near as damn-it) East.
Bit of a hot spot I'd say....
Regarding magnetism, gravitation and light.
There are some interesting places on or very near the 33rd degree north....
including Phoenix, Roswell, Trinity Site, Baghdad, Hiroshima, Nagasaki.
Mount Tabor has a double whammy with the 33rd degree East as well..lol....
I don't mean to take anything away from the Biblical connections because I think
it is all interconnected, somehow....in an energy, spiritual, creative way.

But there are a whole lot of other things to look at within those dusty pages, you know? It's not every day we hold an artifact in our hands, after all.

Back to our topic, I wanted to ask you a question about Jesus Christ.
Assuming he existed, which most people do basically believe on the surface, do you think he was special beyond his pedigree? Beyond the prophecies and social grooming, did he have anything going for him? Was he anything more than a moderately educated carpenter's son?
Now, to answer that question, before Jesus' hand turned water into wine, there was a mountain in Palestine. Mount Tabor. And that, friends, is where our conversation begins.
 Mount Tabor (Hebrew: הַר תָּבוֹר, Arabic: جبل الطور, Greek: Όρος Θαβώρ) is located in Lower Galilee, Israel, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 11 miles (18 km) west of the Sea of Galilee. It was the site of the Mount Tabor battle between Barak under the leadership of the Israelite judge Deborah, and the army of Jabin commanded by Sisera, in the mid 14th century BCE. It is believed by many Christians to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus.[1] It is also known as Har Tavor, Itabyrium, Jebel et-Tur, and the Mount of Transfiguration.
Mount Tabor is a holy place. Like Sinai or Ararat, or even Tzoodzil. It's a place where energies collide. A focus, a nexus, a centering place. The marriage of earth and heaven. Where men go up and God comes down. The place where fire is.

What I wonder is why Jesus had to come here. Why he couldn't just reach out his hand from over the realms and ages and save me and each of my "other selves" directly. Why did he come to earth and live such a small, human, "missable" sort of life, and depend on us miserable people to tell his story, instead of manifesting it the way nature manifests its own beauty -- directly, and eternally, powerfully. Why did Jesus use such a Mercurial method of reaching into the fire? Why is God a whisper and not a whirlwind?

But I guess when I read the Bible, I see that Jesus allowed himself some breaks from his human limitations. But only when he was doing the will of God. He turned water into wine, but he couldn't turn away the whip and thorn. He fed a thousand people, but he starved in the wilderness. He comforted the dying but found so few answers to his own recorded prayers. Why would someone do that for us?

What happened on Mount Tabor? This article was supposed to be about the Transfiguration, like, time and space travel, synchronicity. But it turned into a look at Jesus. It's hard not to look.
In the days of Second Temple, Mount Tabor was one of the mountain peaks on which it was the custom to light beacons in order to inform the northern villages of Jewish holy days and of beginnings of new months.
Mount Tabor was like the signal fires in Lord of the Rings to ancient Judea. When you saw the fire on the mountain, you knew something special was happening. Something holy. Something had changed and you were invited to it. Like Prometheus descending.
When Jesus took his beloved disciples up that mountain, he was showing them a great secret that not all of the other apostles got to see. He wanted to show them that death, truly, is not the end. Knowing that they had no way to measure his own greatness, Christ summoned some souls that He knew his followers would recognize.
Moses, and Elijah. Those were the souls Jesus called to himself on the Mountain. Moses who died without reaching the Promised Land, and Elijah who was taken up into Heaven by the fiery chariot and horses of God Himself. And Jesus with a thought made the circle whole. He brought Moses into the promised land and he returned the blessing of Elijah to the holy place. He brought a message of such hope.
But I am getting ahead of myself. Not all of you know this story.
Who did Jesus take with him and when? Before he was arrested and killed, he asked Peter, James, and John to accompany him on a climb up one of Israel's most holy places.

In the Gospels, Jesus takes Peter, James, son of Zebedee and John the Apostle with him and goes up to a mountain, which is not named. Once on the mountain, Matthew (17:2) states that Jesus "was transfigured before them; his face shining as the sun, and his garments became white as the light." At that point the prophets Elijah and Moses appear and Jesus begins to talk to them.[1] Luke is specific in describing Jesus in a state of glory, with Luke 9:32 referring to "they saw his glory".[13]
There are no words to describe the above encounter. I find myself unable to express the importance and significance of Christ's power in bringing the spirits of Moses and Elijah to him in the sight of the apostles. The law and deliverance from the law. And life.

Si continúas observando podrás comprobar cómo Venus y la Tierra continúan trazando la figura pentagonal, aunque ya no desde el mismo punto que la anterior. De hecho, comienzan una nueva 2,33 días antes que la anterior. La actual la comenzaron el 8 de junio de 2004 y termina el 6 de junio de 2012. Esto significa que esa estrella de 5 puntas gira también alrededor del Sol hasta dar una vuelta en 1.252 años: un Ciclo mayor compuesto por 156 subciclos Pentagonales (1.252 órbitas de la Tierra y 2.035 de Venus). Así es como los planetas crean los Ciclos Cósmicos. 1.252 años son 457.457 días, que es prácticamente 676 x 676 ó 26x26x26x26 ó (13+13)x(13+13)x(13+13)x(13+13) días.
Aquí puedes verlo de otra manera comenzando desde el 8 de junio de 2004 (cuando se produjo un tránsito de Venus) hasta el 6 de junio de 2012 en que se produce otro tránsito. Puedes hacer click sobre la escena repetidamente.

Los números 5, 8 y 13 son números consecutivos de la serie Fibonacci en la que cada número dividido por su anterior tiende al valor del número Phi, el que marca la llamada "proporción divina" de ciertos elementos de la Naturaleza, por no decir muchos o todos, y entre los cuales están las propias piezas que componen el esqueleto de nuestros cuerpos: los huesos. En la vigésima división de la serie Fibonacci, entre los números 6.765 y 4.181, se obtiene un valor de phi afinado hasta el sexto decimal: 1'6180339. También se puede ver que los números de la serie Fibonacci 6.765 y 4.181 como días terrestres convertidos a Tzolkins son 26 y 16 Tzolkin, y mientras el año de la Tierra (365 días) es 1,62 veces más largo que el de Venus (225 días), siendo 1,62 el redondeo de 1,618 que es el valor de Phi, en el ciclo sinódico Venus da 2'6 órbitas y la Tierra da 1'6 (fracciones de 26 y 16). Y por fin, reproduciendo los tres números de la serie Fibonacci 5, 8 y 13 en el ciclo pentagonal resulta que 5 es el número de encuentros entre La Tierra y Venus durante 8 órbitas de la Tierra y 13 de Venus.
Viendo desde el planeta Tierra, desde el meridiano del mediodía, sin que gire el planeta (pero sí trasladándose) y acelerando mucho el movimiento de los astros hasta que en 20 segundos transcurrieran 8 años, podríamos ver a Venus realizar 5 movimientos retrógrados cada 8 años, 2 en forma de lazo, 1 en zig zag (cruzando la eclíptica) y otros 2 de nuevo en forma de lazo (casi simétricos a los dos primeros). Los trazos en forma de lazo los realiza por encima o debajo de la eclíptica según ande circulando por el nodo superior o inferior de su órbita (inclinada respecto a la de la Tierra). Empleando una expresión metafórica, son las Curvas de Venus.
También podemos verlas como las letras gráficas del lenguaje venusiano. Tales trazos derivan gradualmente en el cielo terrestre cada 8 años en sentido contrario al del Sol ante el fondo fijo de las estrellas y las constelaciones, de modo que desde hace unos 100 años, el movimiento en zig zag de Venus ha venido ocurriendo sobre la constelación de Orión.
El 13 es número basico en el Ciclo Pentagonal, pues es el número de órbitas de Venus, de modo que en 13 Ciclos Pentagonales Venus da 169 órbitas (13x13). ¿Nunca os habéis parado a pensar por qué el fruto que causa tantos males a Blancanieves o Rapunzel es una manzana y no una pera o una naranja?, o ¿por qué la mayoría de los cuentos infantiles con los que nos criamos tenían como personaje malvado a un lobo, y no a una hiena, por ejemplo? o, mejor aún, ¿por qué todas las protagonistas de estas historias son princesas que esperan que un apuesto príncipe azul venga a rescatarlas? Pues, aun que no lo parezca, éstos y otros aspectos tienen todos un trasfondo antropológico, es decir, cultural.
Centrémonos, por ejemplo, en el caso de la manzana. Las diferentes variedades de esta fruta se distribuyen en climas templados o subtropicales, pues es una de las especies frutales que requiere acumular cierta cantidad de horas de frío, normalmente temperaturas inferiores a 7 °C. durante el descanso invernal, para poder florecer. Esto incapacita al manzano para florecer en algunas latitudes, como el Sur de Europa o África. En su mayoría, estos cuentos fueron recogidos y popularizados por los Hermanos Grimm, alemanes de Hesse, donde la manzana es bastante popular en toda su gastronomía. Posteriormente fue Disney, con toda su iconografía y poder mediático, el que se encargó de popularizarlos de forma casi universal. Por tanto no estamos ante un hecho casual, sino ante un ejemplo de trasmisión de valores folk europeos, de valores eurocéntricos.
Idéntica explicación tiene el ejemplo de la hiena. Algunos pensaréis en que cuentos como El Rey León introducen ya personajes exóticos, sin embargo la aparición de estos animales se produce mucho más tardíamente, una vez llegan a ser de amplio conocimiento en occidente pues son de origen africano, aunque curiosamente, transmitidos de la misma manera y por el mismo agente.
Y así podríamos seguir relatando infinidad de ejemplos no sólo vinculados a frutas y animales, sino también relativos a los valores imperantes o imperiales, o aquellos aspectos que “interesa” transmitir tales como, en el caso de las princesas y los príncipes, el papel de la mujer en la sociedad y las relaciones de género, las incuestionables estructuras socioeconómicas, el papel de nuestros mayores, etc. El hecho de que Blancanieves tuviera que esperar a que un principe, concretamente azul, la salvara de un destino cruel no es casual. Como no es casual que Rapunzel estuviera encerrada en una torre esperando exactamente lo mismo, sólo que en esta ocasión con la presencia excéntrica de unas largas trenzas. La Bella Durmiente, por su parte, ¡tuvo que esperar 100 años para despertar de un beso!, de nuevo de un miembro masculino de la casa real del momento. Estos personajes femeninos nunca eran protagonistas de su propio destino, ni podían influir con sus decisiones o acciones el final de la historia. Eran otros, hombres y príncipes, machos y ricos, los que enderezaban un relato sin una participación femenina activa.
Cuando no había internet, ni TV ni rádio, los cuentos, transmitidos oralmente, eran poderosos vehículos de socialización de valores. No estamos pues ante historias simplemente lúdicas, sino ante instrumentos de transmisión de ideas que, quizás, haya que cuestionar. Pensemos, pues, la próxima vez que contemos un cuento a nuestros/as hijos/as qué y cómo les estamos enseñando.
