¿Qué es la singularidad tecnológica y qué supondría para el ser humano?

La singularidad tecnológica puede suponer, según ciertos autores, la mayor explosión de inteligencia artificial conocida. Ello implicaría que, en unos 28 años, la historia de la humanidad pudiera cambiar para siempre.

Que en últimas dos décadas el avance tecnológico en las sociedades desarrolladas haya alcanzado un ritmo de vértigo hace que, a priori, pensemos que es irrepetible en los años venideros. De hecho, se han comenzado a cuestionar principios que han marcado ese progreso, como la ley de Moore, dado que parece que será irrepetible el hecho de que el número de transistores de los microprocesadores vuelva a duplicarse cada uno o dos años. Sin embargo, al repasar estos factores, no se tiene en cuenta la velocidad de desarrollo que puede llegar con la singularidad tecnológica.
Hacia uno de las mayores cambios en la historia
El proceso de singularidad tecnológica engloba una serie de ideas sobre la que destaca que el progreso tan fuerte que se viene produciendo durante décadas en inteligencia artificial acabará propiciando una superación de la inteligencia humana. El avance en ciencia y tecnología es exponencial, por lo que, en última instancia, al llegar a la singularidad se habrá alcanzado respecto a la inteligencia artificial un punto de complejidad y potencia no controlable por nosotros, sus creadores. Y según varios autores, desde John Von Neumann en los años 50 hasta otros posteriores como Vernor Vinge, no estamos demasiado lejos de ese momento.
Aunque según ciertas leyes y principios clásicos en ciencia ficción como las tres leyes de la robótica de Isaac Asimov el ser humano nunca debería perder su papel hegemónico, si un robot o máquina llega a superarnos en capacidad de proceso lógico, lo cierto es que probablemente para ellos tendría muy poco sentido cumplir las leyes, al igual que en muchos momentos de la historia muchos colectivos consideraron -justamente- que las leyes escritas no eran justas, y por lo tanto había que atendar al iusnaturalismo o derecho natural.
Volviendo a la singularidad tecnológica, la segunda asunción es que la situación no sólo no quedaría en el punto de pérdida de control, sino que los propios robots seguirían "reproduciéndose" recursivamente (Von Neumann teorizó sobre ello y de él tomaron el nombre "máquinas de Von Neumann") según sus principios y conciencia. En este estadio sería imposible predecir cómo avanzaría el curso de la historia, pero el proceso de la singularidad también se alcanzaría con la integración en los humanos de tecnología en un sentido mucho más profundo que el de los wearables actuales.
Singularidad y transhumanisno, unidos
Como ejemplo, a nivel cerebral también hablaríamos de una obtener una capacidad muy superior a la actual como consecuencia de las ayudas recibidas por la inclusión tecnológica en la biología humana. A día de hoy estamos tratando de conocer el cerebro, y aunque el avance es lento, sí hay cierto progreso e investigación en comunicación cerebro-máquina.
 Así conectan a Neo en "Matrix". Eso sí, de momento, muy lejos de la superinteligencia o superlongevidad que afirman los defensores de la singularidad. Y es que, como se puede apreciar más allá del desarrollo de los robots, el transhumanismo también tiene mucha importancia en estas ideas.
El transhumanismo supondría superar la barrera biológica del ser humano y encaminarnos hacia una realidad donde estaríamos cerca de no sólo tener mayores capacidades físicas o mentales, sino de, prácticamente, ser inmortales. Una cifra común en las estimaciones sobre cuándo llegaría la singularidad tecnológica es el año 2045. De hecho, mediante este curioso reloj/cuenta atrás, podemos saber cuánto queda exactamente para la hipotética llegada de la explosión de conocimiento.
¿Es evitable?
Es la gran pregunta para muchos. Ante los riesgos que una situación como la presentada entrañaría con alta probabilidad para la especie humana, ya que incluso el transhumanismo controlado se llega a ver como una pérdida de esencia de la especie, los autores se preguntan cómo evitar la llegada de la singularidad tecnológica. La respuesta, aunque tan en el aire como el problema real, no es muy positiva.
Mientras sigamos desarrollando e integrando al ritmo actual la tecnología en nuestras vidas, será muy difícil que la explosión de inteligencia no llegue, porque es precisamente lo que a día de hoy buscamos. Otra cosa, eso sí, es cómo llegue. Para saber qué visiones son más acertadas, sólo hay que esperar 28 años.

It embodies the fundamental Dionysiac representation of palingenesia.
But there is something more in it than this. Pythagoras inherited the music of Orpheus, as well as the reincarnation doctrine of Dionysus. From the Orphics he inherited also the doctrine of the fall of the soul from its first perfect state of union with the divine, its degradation into the darkness of this life and of the underworld, and its final restoration to peace and unity. Now, on the model of this doctrine of the fall of the soul, the Pythagorean philosophy must hold that all existence proceeds out of the One and returns to it again; and that the One alone is perfect, while the manifold world of visible body is a turbid medium of appearance, in which the one truth is half-revealed and half-concealed, as the divine soul is manifest in the flesh and yet obscured by it and degraded.
There is thus, inherent in the representation handed down from Orphism to Pythagoras, not only the primitive wheel of birth, but another aspect of the movement of life, which is best described as a processional movement out of unity into plurality, out of light into darkness. This movement, also, must be revealed in the nature of numbers, and contained in the tetractys. Pythagoras found it in the procession of numerical series, the study of which he originated, thereby rounding the science of number. It is practically certain, also, that in music he discovered the ratios of the octave, the fifth, and the fourth, contained in the harmonic proportion 12: 8: 6. Now a progression like those contained in the tetractys of Plato's worldsoul --the series, 1: 2: 4: 8, 1: 3: 9: 27– is what the Pythagoreans called an harmonia; it is a continuous entity knit together by a principle of unity running through it, namely the logos or ratio (1/2 or 1/3) which links every term to its predecessor by the same bond. Both series, moreover, radiate from the One, which in Pythagorean arithmetic was not itself a number, but the source in which the whole nature of all numbers was gathered up and implicit. When we note, further, that every number is not only a many, but also one number, we can see how Pythagoras would find the whole movement of cosmic evolution contained in the procession of series, in which the One passes out of itself into a manifold, yet without losing all its unity, and a return from the many to the One is secured by that bond of proportion which runs, backwards and forwards, through the whole series and links it into a ' harmony.' It is thus that we must understand the doctrine that ' the whole Heaven is harmony and number.' The processional movement of physis is modelled upon that of soul, which falls from its first state of union with the divine, but yet remains linked to the One life by mysterious bonds, and can return to it again, purified by music.

As for the "geometric figure", that we may already have (whether applicable here or not) and although the concept of "organic motion" may strike some modern readers as strange, it is nevertheless an underlying feature in many ancient major works--the Timaeus of Plato especially. Here it may also be observed that by expressing the exponents of this short section of the Phi-series planetary framework in thirds, the sets [3, 6, 9 , [4, 8, 12] and [6, 12, 18] are also apparent--sets that may or may not be considered further with respect to other passages in Plato, etc.

So much, then, for our program as a whole. But to crown it all, we must go on to the generation of things divine, the fairest and most heavenly spectacle God has vouchsafed to the eye of man. And: believe me, no man will ever behold that spectacle without the studies we have described, and so be able to boast that he has won it by an easy route. Moreover, in all our sessions for study we are to relate the single fact to its species; there are questions to be asked and erroneous theses to be refuted. We may truly say that this is ever the prime test, and the best a man can have; as for tests that profess to be such but are not, there is no labor so fruitlessly thrown away as that spent on them. Se dice que en el interior de esta iglesia y de otras muchas de Venecia está escondido el tesoro de los templarios. Pero no hay ninguna prueba de ello.
