General: Ofiuco 13 signo del zodiaco?

Ofiuco u Ophiuchus (el portador de la serpiente o Serpentario) es una de las 88 constelaciones modernas, y era una de las 48 listadas por Ptolomeo. Puede verse en ambos hemisferios entre los meses de abril a octubre por estar situada sobre el ecuador celeste.
Al norte de Ofiuco se halla Hércules, al suroeste Sagitario (Sagittarius) y al sureste Escorpio (Scorpius); al este se encuentran la Cabeza de la Serpiente (Serpens Caput) y Libra, mientras que al oeste quedan Águila (Aquila), Escudo de Sobieski (Scutum) y Cola de la Serpiente (Serpens Cauda). La constelación queda flanqueada por la Cabeza y la Cola de la Serpiente, que puede ser considerada como una única constelación: Serpiente (Serpens), que la atraviesa. El conjunto resultante es un hombre rodeado por una serpiente.

En esta constelación se localizan varias de las estrellas más cercanas a nuestro Sistema Solar. Así, la Estrella de Barnard es, después de las tres componentes de Alfa Centauri, la estrella más próxima al Sol, estando situada a poco menos de 6 años luz. También en Ofiuco se encuentran los sistemas 70 Ophiuchi y 36 Ophiuchi, constituidos por enanas naranjas —estrellas semejantes al Sol aunque más frías y tenues—, ambos a menos de 20 años luz de distancia.
En 1604 apareció en esta constelación la supernova de Kepler, la última supernova observada en nuestra propia galaxia a una distancia no superior a 6 kiloparsecs. Fue visible a simple vista y en el momento de máxima luminosidad superó en brillo a cualquier otra estrella del cielo nocturno.
Diversos cúmulos globulares como M10, M12 y M62 pueden ser observados con binoculares.

- α Ophiuchi (Ras Alhague o Rasalhague), la más brillante de la constelación con magnitud 2,09 y de color blanco; situada cerca de Ras Algethi (α Herculis) al norte de la constelación.
- β Ophiuchi (Cebalrai), de magnitud 2,77 y color anaranjado, situada también al norte de la constelación.
- γ Ophiuchi, estrella blanca de magnitud 3,75 en donde se ha detectado un disco circumestelar de polvo.
- δ Ophiuchi (Yed Prior), de magnitud 2,73 y color rojo, situada al sur de la constelación y cerca de la cabeza de la serpiente.
- ε Ophiuchi (Yed Posterior), muy cerca de Yed Prior y de magnitud 3,23, una estrella gigante de color amarillo.
- ζ Ophiuchi, la tercera más brillante de la constelación (magnitud 2,54), estrella del raro tipo espectral O (azul oscuro).
- η Ophiuchi (Sabik), la segunda más brillante con magnitud 2,43, estrella binaria blanca de la secuencia principal.
- θ Ophiuchi, caliente subgigante azul de magnitud 3,25.
- κ Ophiuchi, gigante naranja de magnitud 3,20.
- λ Ophiuchi (Marfik), estrella triple situada en el codo de Ofiuco.
- μ Ophiuchi, estrella de mercurio-manganeso de magnitud 4,62.
- ρ Ophiuchi, estrella binaria rodeada por una nebulosa de reflexión.
- υ Ophiuchi, estrella Am y binaria espectroscópica de magnitud 4,63.

- V2388 Ophiuchi, una de las binarias de contacto más brillantes del cielo con magnitud 6,26.
- 51 Ophiuchi, estrella Herbig Ae/Be rodeada por un disco circumestelar de gas y polvo.
- 58 Ophiuchi, estrella blanco-amarilla distante 57 años luz.
- 67 Ophiuchi, supergigante azul de magnitud 3,97 que forma parte del cúmulo estelar Collinder 359.
- 70 Ophiuchi y 36 Ophiuchi, sistemas estelares cercanos a la Tierra, el primero a 16,6 años luz y el segundo a 19,5 años luz.

- Gliese 653 y Gliese 654, un amplio sistema binario a 34,7 años luz del Sistema Solar.
- GJ 1214, enana roja con un planeta extrasolar.
- G 21-15, sistema formado por tres enanas blancas, uno de los pocos conocidos de estas características.
- SN 1604 (Supernova de Kepler), supernova que tuvo lugar en el año 1604.

En la mitología griega Ofiuco corresponde con Asclepio, hijo del dios Apolo y la humana Corónide. Éste desarrolló tal habilidad en medicina, que se decía que era capaz incluso de resucitar a los muertos. Muy ofendido por ello, Hades pidió a Zeus que lo matara por violar el orden natural de las cosas, a lo que Zeus accedió. Sin embargo, como homenaje a su valía, decidió situarlo en el cielo rodeado por la serpiente, símbolo de la vida renovada.

Ofiuco está desde hace un tiempo considerado astrológicamente como el decimotercer signo del zodíaco debido a que durante la precesión de los equinoccios se ha ido introduciendo entre Sagitario y Escorpio, de manera que durante la primera quincena de diciembre el Sol entra en esta constelación, si bien, no es reconocida como signo por muchos astrólogos.
Teniendo en cuenta que no existe ningún organismo regulador de ésta, hay casi tantas interpretaciones al respecto como astrólogos. Al tratarse de una creencia muy antigua, sus reglas no contemplan algunos cambios que ha sufrido la astronomía a lo largo del tiempo, como la precesión, los nuevos objetos (cúmulos, púlsares, quásares, etc.), o la constelación Zodiacal de Ofiuco y la constelación de Cetus (Ballena Marina).
Presuntamente, la aceptación en la Astrología de un nuevo signo zodiacal como el décimo tercero alteraría las divisiones del mismo, ya que cabalísticamente se dividen en signos Activos y Pasivos (6 en cada grupo); de Agua, Tierra, Aire y Fuego (3 en cada grupo); Fijos, Mutables y Cardinales (4 en cada grupo) en proporciones idénticas y simétricas. Los astrólogos indican que estas divisiones no tendrían sentido al dividir entre 13, un número primo y que además es considerado como un mal augurio.

Venus y la Tierra danzan en sincronía matemática y geométrica en el salón del Espacio, al son de la sutilísima vibración de la música de las esferas, pues esferas son. Si continúas observando podrás comprobar cómo Venus y la Tierra continúan trazando la figura pentagonal, aunque ya no desde el mismo punto que la anterior. De hecho, comienzan una nueva 2,33 días antes que la anterior. La actual la comenzaron el 8 de junio de 2004 y termina el 6 de junio de 2012. Esto significa que esa estrella de 5 puntas gira también alrededor del Sol hasta dar una vuelta en 1.252 años: un Ciclo mayor compuesto por 156 subciclos Pentagonales (1.252 órbitas de la Tierra y 2.035 de Venus). Así es como los planetas crean los Ciclos Cósmicos. 1.252 años son 457.457 días, que es prácticamente 676 x 676 ó 26x26x26x26 ó (13+13)x(13+13)x(13+13)x(13+13) días.
Aquí puedes verlo de otra manera comenzando desde el 8 de junio de 2004 (cuando se produjo un tránsito de Venus) hasta el 6 de junio de 2012 en que se produce otro tránsito. Puedes hacer click sobre la escena repetidamente.

Los números 5, 8 y 13 son números consecutivos de la serie Fibonacci en la que cada número dividido por su anterior tiende al valor del número Phi, el que marca la llamada "proporción divina" de ciertos elementos de la Naturaleza, por no decir muchos o todos, y entre los cuales están las propias piezas que componen el esqueleto de nuestros cuerpos: los huesos. En la vigésima división de la serie Fibonacci, entre los números 6.765 y 4.181, se obtiene un valor de phi afinado hasta el sexto decimal: 1'6180339. También se puede ver que los números de la serie Fibonacci 6.765 y 4.181 como días terrestres convertidos a Tzolkins son 26 y 16 Tzolkin, y mientras el año de la Tierra (365 días) es 1,62 veces más largo que el de Venus (225 días), siendo 1,62 el redondeo de 1,618 que es el valor de Phi, en el ciclo sinódico Venus da 2'6 órbitas y la Tierra da 1'6 (fracciones de 26 y 16). Y por fin, reproduciendo los tres números de la serie Fibonacci 5, 8 y 13 en el ciclo pentagonal resulta que 5 es el número de encuentros entre La Tierra y Venus durante 8 órbitas de la Tierra y 13 de Venus.
Viendo desde el planeta Tierra, desde el meridiano del mediodía, sin que gire el planeta (pero sí trasladándose) y acelerando mucho el movimiento de los astros hasta que en 20 segundos transcurrieran 8 años, podríamos ver a Venus realizar 5 movimientos retrógrados cada 8 años, 2 en forma de lazo, 1 en zig zag (cruzando la eclíptica) y otros 2 de nuevo en forma de lazo (casi simétricos a los dos primeros). Los trazos en forma de lazo los realiza por encima o debajo de la eclíptica según ande circulando por el nodo superior o inferior de su órbita (inclinada respecto a la de la Tierra). Empleando una expresión metafórica, son las Curvas de Venus.
También podemos verlas como las letras gráficas del lenguaje venusiano. Tales trazos derivan gradualmente en el cielo terrestre cada 8 años en sentido contrario al del Sol ante el fondo fijo de las estrellas y las constelaciones, de modo que desde hace unos 100 años, el movimiento en zig zag de Venus ha venido ocurriendo sobre la constelación de Orión.
El 13 es número basico en el Ciclo Pentagonal, pues es el número de órbitas de Venus, de modo que en 13 Ciclos Pentagonales Venus da 169 órbitas (13x13). Este ciclo de 13 ciclos Pentagonales es 37.960 días durante los que Venus realiza 65 ciclos sinódicos (o alineamientos con la Tierra) y en los que también intervienen 146 ciclos del Tzolkin 146 e incluso 104 del Haab (103,96 años de 365,2422 años). Vemos que el el 65 y el 104 son múltiplos del 13.

A raíz de sus observaciones Kepler escribió la obra De Stella nova in pede Serpentarii, que significa "Sobre la nueva estrella en el pie del portador de la Serpiente", y de ahí que se le llame Estrella Kepler o Nebulosa de Kepler. Esta imagen recrea el momento de la explosión. Kepler estaba en Europa, que se ve ahí ya en la zona iluminada, en el día.

Desde la Isla Tierra, el fenómeno estuvo bien firmado por los astros en el Firmamento, pues los planetas Júpiter, Saturno (los más grandes del sistema solar) así como Marte, estaban en la línea de visión (aunque no visibles) entre los observadores de la Tierra y la supernova. Fue vista durante 1 año y medio y, por supuesto, de día.
Dado que la supernova (actual nebulosa) está a unos 13.000 años luz (1 año luz = 800 sistemas solares) quiere decir que está mucho más lejos que las propias estrellas que forman el grupo de Ofiuco. Y también quiere decir que realmente explosionó 13.000 años antes de cuando fue observada desde la Tierra. Lo que se vio fue sólo un eco retardado 13.000 años. Es decir que explosionó en un momento en el que la humanidad estaba muy lejos aún de diseñar la actual era cristiana en la que nos basamos para datar acontecimientos (históricos, no tanto cósmicos).
Pero para "datar" los eventos cósmicos (firmados por los propios astros) ya existe una referencia y guía natural como es la Madre (la Tierra) con su tan largo como lento movimiento de bamboleo, así como un calendario adecuado, acorde para ello, como es el calendario maya de 25.920 años. Así, cuando la supernova explotó en la región de Ofiuco, la Madre Tierra señalaba con el extremo norte de su Eje de rotación (su Dedo) casi hacia la estrella Vega, que hacía las veces de referencia del norte celeste (estrella Polar). El ciclo maya (paralelo al bamboleo del planeta) transcurría por la mitad de la 3ª Cuenta Larga.

Y tras unas 13.000 órbitas de la Nave Tierra al Sol (que nosotros acostumbramos a decir como "unos 13.000 años") el eco luminoso de esa supernova de Ofiuco alcanzaría el Sistema solar, el planeta Tierra y las pupilas de los humanos que la observaron. LA CURIOSA PALABRA "OFIUCO"
La palabra Ofiuco deriva del griego ὀφιοῦχος (ofiujos), formada de ὂφις (οfis, serpiente) y - οῦχος (-ujos, del verbo ἒχω (ejō, yo tengo, sostengo, mantengo). Es decir que podemos traducirla como "el que tiene, mantiene o sostiene una serpiente", o "yo tengo, mantengo o sostengo una serpiente". De hecho, así es como se suele representar gráficamente a la constelación de Ofiuco, en forma de humano sosteniendo a una serpiente, pues la constelación de Ofiuco está en mitad de la constelación de la Serpiente dividiéndola en dos partes, cabeza y cola.
Las personas encargadas de incluir las palabras en el diccionario no han incluido " ofiuco ", pero sí otras palabras que derivan de la misma raíz:

El Ofiuco designa al sabio o sabia administrador/a del bálsamo curativo de la serpiente (el veneno que contiene su propio remedio) que utiliza la ponzoña o veneno como poción curativa por conocer el secreto de que el remedio está en el propio veneno. De ahí que se le denomine trambién Serpentario.
Entre las significaciones simbólicas de los signos zodiacales que representan a animales y humanos, Ofiuco representa al sanador y al poder espiritual -no comercial ni comercializable- de la sanación, básicamente del dolor emocional raíz que es el miedo y la culpa. Para ello utilizaba la sangre del flanco derecho de Medusa, regalo de Atenea, que era la que daba la vida; la sangre del flanco derecho de Medusa daba la vida mientras que la del flanco izquierdo ocasionaba la muerte debido a un potente veneno, una representación del antídoto contenido en el veneno. También Asclepio tuvo tres hijas, una de ellas llamada Panacea y otra Higía, y de este nombre procede la palabra Higiene.
Hades/Plutón, temeroso de perder el poder por causa de la labor del sanador Asclepio que devolvía la vida a los muertos, pidió a Zeus que interviniera, y Zeus arrojó un rayo sobre Asclepio y lo convirtió en constelación.
La serpiente fue adoptada como símbolo del logo representativo del gremio profesional de la Medicina y de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (O.M.S.). Incluso el símbolo del dinero, el dólar ( $ ), semeja al símbolo de la serpiente enroscada, aunque ninguna persona podemos vender ni comprar la "panacea" o "elixir", no fabricable por mano humana ni existente en la sabia Naturaleza que, rebosante de buenas sustancias químicas (sólidas, líquidas y gaseosas) ninguna es válida para sanar el temor y la culpa, raíz de toda enfermedad mental, emocional y física. Desde este punto de vista podríamos considerar al organismo químico y físico humano un "ofiuco" en potencia. Antiguas culturas como la Huichol (Oeste central de México en la Sierra Madre Occidental) reflejan en hermosas imágenes de su arte textil y cerámico la sinuosa figura de la serpiente como un motivo común y básico. En su mitología sobre la Creación se representan 5 serpientes como las Madres del Agua. Y al Sol se le suele representar con 13 rayos.
La energía de la serpiente manejada por el Ofiuco viene a ser la llamada "Panacea" o "Elixir" cuyo secreto es conocido por el "dios/diosa de la medicina" simbolizado en las mitologías espirituales y religiosas por el aspecto masculino de dicho Ser espiritual. Ofiuco es el nombre de una constelación. Otra cosa es un signo del zodiaco, pues sólo 12 constelaciones de entre 88 son consideradas zodiacales o astralmente significativas. Las personas astrólogas (profesionales y aficionadas) mantienen entre sí una polémica por la inclusión o no de Ofiuco como signo en la astrología tradicional. El Sol transita por la región sur de Ofiuco desde el 30 de noviembre al 17 de diciembre, independientemente de lo que ocurra en la mente humana gico tradicional tal periodo corresponde prácticamente a la primera mitad del signo de Sagitario. Por razones comprensibles, los astrólogos modernos no pueden insertar otro signo en un mapa astrológico milenario (lo cual no significa insertar otra constelación en el espacio real, el universal). Sería tan traumático como insertar otro mes en el calendario romano gregoriano. Aún así, las personas astrólogas que buscan un cambio suelen considerar a Ofiuco el signo oculto, pero otra cosa es la constelación, la cual está tan "al aire" como las estrellas con las que fue diseñada. Otras tienden a llamar a Ofiuco la 13ª constelación del zodiaco o el 13er signo, aunque si comenzáramos a contar las constelaciones zodiacales desde Piscis como 1ª (región en la que está el Puntero de Piscis o Punto Vernal que señala el momento del equinoccio de marzo) Ofiuco es la 10ª constelación, y Virgo es la 7ª, la que queda en el centro de las 13 y prácticamente al otro lado de Piscis.
En astrología se considera a Libra como el signo central (equiLIBRAnte) de la serie de 12, y es la casa VII, si bien en 12 elementos el 7º no es el central.
