'Fátima, Fado y Fútbol', en palabras del dictador Salazar (1889-1970), fueron los pilares de la sociedad portuguesa: 'Fátima por la fe, fado por la saudade y fútbol por la gloria de la patria'. A los ojos del tímido dictador, las "tres F" eran la base de su Estado Novo (Nuevo Estado), que después de cuatro décadas sigue siendo la dictadura fascista más larga en suelo europeo. Y Fátima, el fado y el fútbol siguen formando la santísima trinidad del modo de vida portugués, aunque los tres llevan las huellas de la gran agitación del 25 de abril de 1974, cuando la Revolución de los Claveles puso fin al salazarismo.
Portugal, 13 de mayo de 1917. En un valle a las afueras del remoto pueblo de Fátima, doscientos kilómetros al norte de Lisboa, tres niños granjeros con un pequeño rebaño de ovejas buscan protección del brillante sol de la tarde a la sombra de una azinheira, una antigua roble. Se trata de Lucía Jesús Santos, de diez años, su sobrino Francisco Marto, de ocho, y su hermana Jacinta, de siete, todos ellos de la cercana aldea de Aljusterel. Son niños pobres, condenados a pasar su vida en las mismas condiciones miserables que sus padres, simples trabajadores agrícolas, que viven de las ganancias de su propio terreno en las llanuras de la Sierra de Aires. No van a la escuela, no saben leer y pasan el día cuidando las ovejas, vagando por las llanuras de Fátima.
Son tiempos aterradores. Desde hace un año, Portugal participa activamente en la Gran Guerra, principalmente para proteger las colonias africanas atacadas por el káiser alemán. Muchos portugueses murieron en el frente en Flandes y África o permanecen como prisioneros de guerra en campos alemanes. Hay una gran oposición a la guerra. Los sindicatos están paralizando el país con huelgas masivas. El tipo de cambio del escudo portugués está cayendo rápidamente. La población portuguesa está profundamente agobiada por la pobreza, el hambre y las epidemias de cólera. Los disturbios por el pan están a la orden del día. La revolución está en el aire.
Portugal es república desde 1910, dos años después del asesinato del rey Dom Carlos I de Bragança y su hijo, el príncipe Dom Filipe, que fueron asesinados a tiros mientras viajaban en un carruaje por Lisboa. El país está profundamente dividido entre republicanos y monárquicos, con gabinetes que se alternan a un ritmo hiperventilado. En 1917, el cargo de Presidente de la República es ocupado por Bernardo Machado, líder del Partido Republicano, quien pone un hacha en la hasta entonces inexpugnable posición de poder de la Iglesia. Se confiscan los bienes de la Iglesia y se prohíben numerosas órdenes por considerarlas "organizaciones peligrosas para el Estado". Los jesuitas en particular tuvieron que sufrir. En las iglesias los sacerdotes gritan asesinatos sangrientos. Se insta al pueblo de la iglesia a ponerse del lado del Papa y de su país, bajo pena de condenación eterna.
Los tres pastorcitos de Fátima no podían imaginar que dentro de unos meses se convertirían en protagonistas del colosal drama político que se estaba desarrollando en Portugal. Todo sucede a partir de una visión, quizás una alucinación colectiva, que experimentan por primera vez esa tarde. Al igual que Bernadette Soubirous, la vidente francesa en las cuevas de Lourdes en 1858, Lucía, Jacinta y Francisco se encuentran esa tarde cara a cara con la Madre Celestial, que parece haberlos elegido para transmitirles un mensaje divino. El hecho de que esto tuviera lugar en un pueblo llamado Fátima no está exento de simbolismo religioso.
La tradición cuenta que el pueblo de Fátima debe su nombre a una princesa mora que se convirtió al cristianismo en el siglo XII para casarse con un noble portugués, y que por ello fue asesinada a instancias de su acosada familia. El nombre también puede venir de otra parte: durante el dominio árabe en Portugal, que duró del siglo VIII al XIII, la región de Fátima era regularmente escenario de apariciones místicas de Fátima, la hija del profeta adorado por los musulmanes chiítas Mohamed . Es seguro que en esta región existe desde hace mucho tiempo un culto a Fátima, exactamente como todavía se encuentra entre los bereberes marroquíes. Watching late July-early August 2017 is like watching a monster sunspot on the Sun, waiting for a big explosion. Lots temporal/multicontextual energy building up and ready to pop via an intense convergence of multiple time markers including a Mayan golden ratio timeline coming from two back-to-back "Deep Impact" events in early July 2005, as well as a "Lucifer Alignment" (Venus-Sun-Jupiter) with a very consistent and ominous track record. Each of them is capable of producing a powerful "X-class flare" independently but here we got two monster "sunspots" together, ready to erupt with their combined force. So... heads up.

Lucifer Alignment
This one is a heliocentric alignment involving Venus, the Sun and Jupiter (i.e. either Sun-Venus-Jupiter or Venus-Sun-Jupiter). Until a few years ago what I call the "Orange/Golden Apple Alignment" (Venus-Sun-Mercury) had the same level of energy and consistency. Now the torch has been passed to the "Lucifer Alignment". That's where we are with the "Lucifer Alignment" sequence. This is a powerful pattern that hasn't skipped a beat so far and this time it's amplified by a Mayan Deep Impact phi "shock wave" (plus some other things), making late July-early August one of the most intense windows of 2017.It's a monster "sunspot". It won't necessarily erupt but it certainly harbors enough energy for an "X-class flare". We can probably expect some dramatic fireworks before the Great American Total Solar Eclipse coming up on August 21st. The eclipse will be by far the biggest celestial event of the year of course and as those in the members area ( STRUG) know the symbolic depth and intensity of the eclipse is off the charts.
We are crossing a major Threshold in 2017. Into a new reality...Oh, and there is also a big change coming soon that you're not expecting.
