The sixth international tour of the Saint Lawrence Band Club of Vittoriosa, took the band and its fans to Rome where it was busy with services in various places linked to the life of the patron saint and even to St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican .
On the last Wednesday of April, amid blue skies and wonderful weather, the general audience of Pope Francis had a Maltese twist.
The band in St. Peter’s Square came from musicians of the St. Lawrence band club which was part of a contingent of 120 people who took part in a tour in Rome, The band welcomed Pope Francis with various hymns and popular marches of its repertoire.
After the general audience, the Committee of the Musical Society together with the band, the Archpriest Canon Carmelo Busuttil and Mayor John Boxall took a commemorative photo with Pope Francis. This private moment also served as an occasion for Archpriest Busuttil to present €6,000 to the Pope to buy a medical instrument for eye testing. This will be used in a clinic founded by the Pope where doctors take care of the lives of the poor.
On the eve of the audience with the Pope, the Maltese contingent took part in Lawrence International Day which brings together communities whose patron saint is Saint Lawrence. The Birgu band club performed a musical program in the square in front of the Basilica of San Lorenzo Fuori le Mura. Among the engagements in Rome, the band played marches in the place where Saint Lawrence was martyred and in Amesano.

 Not much is know about the caravel, where and when built unknown. Tonnage 200 ton, dim. 85 x 25 x 14ft. (draught) Four masts, fore and main mast square rigged, mizzen and Bonaventura mast lateen rigged. She was the flagship of Don Pedro de Mendoza (1487-1537) expedition to the River Plata. Mendoza held a post in the court of Charles V, when he in 1534 made an offer to Emperor Charles V to make an expedition on his own account for the discovery and conquest of Paraguay and the countries on the Rio La Plata. 24 August 1534 Mendoza on board the MAGDALENA and 13 other vessels, with 3000 men set sail from San Lucar, Spain. Receive from the Emperor before sailing 2.000 ducats, with the condition, when he transported to the new founded colonies 1000 colonists and 100 horses, build a road to the Pacific Ocean, erect three forts within two years he would receive 2.000 ducats more. Also he had to take 8 monks, a physician, a surgeon, and an apothecary, but he was forbidden to introduce a lawyer in the colony. He was to have half the treasure of the chiefs killed and nine-tenths of the ransom. Mendoza was made before sailing military governor of all the territory between the Rio de la Plata and the Strait of Magellan. The office of the Governor was also made hereditary. Off the coast of Brazil the fleet was scattered in a heavy storm, and Medoza lieutenant Osario, was assassinated, according to some authorities by the orders of Mendoza himself because of suspected disloyalty. 1535 Mendoza sailed up the Rio de la Plata, and founded Buenos Aires on 02 February 1536. He erected two forts there to defend the place. Pestilence broke out and the natives became unfriendly after ill treatment by the Spaniards. His brother Don Diego led a force against the hostile tribes, but was killed with three-fourths of his men. A general conspiracy of the natives was formed, and Buenos Aires was captured and burned by the natives. Mendoza retired to the forth Sanctus-Spiritus, from where he dispatched Juan de Ayolas to explore the upper part of the river. Another brother, Gonzalo arrived with reinforcements and founded the city of Ascención in Paraguay in 1536. Mendoza, disappointed and with a broken health, embarked on board the MAGDALENA for Spain in 1537, leaving Juan de Ayolas in charge. During the long voyage to Spain he died maniac on board the MAGDALENA on 23 June 1537. The fate of the MAGDALENA is not known. Pope Francis visits Mexico
The pope will be in Mexico from February 12-17, in Mexico City and the states of Mexico, Chiapas, Michoacan and Chihuahua.

Pope Francis is making his first pastoral visit to Mexico at the invitation of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.
The pope is making a pastoral visit with an official component, and will be received as Head of State, given that Mexico and the Holy See established diplomatic relations in 1992.
The official activities include a private meeting between His Holiness and the President in the National Palace and a parallel meeting between the Mexican delegation and the papal entourage. The pope will also greet senior officials from the various branches of government and the diplomatic corps accredited in Mexico.
The Mexican government recognizes the Holy See as an actor with great weight on the international agenda. The purpose of the visit is to give continuity to the high-level political dialogue in order to broaden the spectrum of cooperation and joint actions.
During the official meetings, ways to reach solutions to global challenges such as environmental protection, peace and security, the protection of migrants, inclusive development, the fight against poverty, nuclear disarmament and human rights, will be discussed.

The senior Stewart descent goes all the way back to King Arthur's father, King Aedan of Scots, on the one hand and to Prince Nascien of the Septimanian Midi on the other. The Scots descent traces further back through King Lucius of Siluria to Bran the Blessed and Joseph of Arimathea (St James the Just), while the Midi succession stems from the Merovingians' male ancestral line through the Fisher Kings to Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Conjoining the lines from their 1st-century points of departure, the descent is in the succession of the Royal House of Judah. This is a truly unique line of sovereign lineage from King David in one of the key descents which comprise the Bloodline of the Holy Grail.
Nephilim/Bigfoot bloodline = Moon/Diana bloodline = Rose Line = Bloodline of the Holy Grail = Stuart Bloodline (?) = Princess Diana bloodline...
Was Princess Diana a product of a particularly special strain of the Grail bloodline and the Stuart bloodline? Perhaps (argued for instance in Princess Diana: The Hidden Evidence). But that's speculative and should be treated as a storyline rather than fact. It may well be that the name 'Diana' was all it took to make her 'special' in the esoteric context of Grail symbolism.
