Nine Modes of Devotion-Worshipping Sai's Feet
Worshipping the Feet of Sainath is a mode of devotion. One should overcome one's own pride, self-respect and serve the Lotus Feet of Sainath. During the process of worship and prayer, several devotees used to offer the holy water in which His Feet were washed. That holy water is capable of curing several diseases and even freeing devotees from earthly bonds. To satisfy the desire of Dasganu, Baba caused the confluence of Ganges and Yamuna rivers spring from His feet. Although Dasganu was able to see the miraculous sight and wet his head by sprinkling the holy water on the head, he was hesitant to sip it. Baba's grace was showered on him to that extent only. We, who are sinking in this vast ocean of life and unable to reach the shore, should behold the Feet of Baba and seek salvation. The devotees of Shirdi used to sweep every inch of the path-way touched by the Feet of Baba, sprinkled cow dung water and beautiful patterns in lime powder were drawn on the ground to give a festive look. They used to spread sheets of cloth on the path leading from Masjid to Chavadi so that His tender Feet should not get hurt. This service is for getting bliss. They worshipped His Feet in different forms to derive pleasure out of the service. Let us worship those beautiful pair of His Lotus Feet with fragrant flowers and get blessed by His divine love
