MAHAMRITYUNJAYA YAGNA IN THE UK

Swami has been repeatedly asking us to repeat God's name (Namasmarana) which is the only hope and means for Liberation in Kali Yuga. Swami on many occasions was kind enough even to describe the method of doing namasmarana, how to handle a japamala and also to do the chanting using your fingers if you don't have a japamala with you.

Unfortunately, we are still not LISTENING to Him even though we have been HEARING His divine words for years.

Not sure if the people in Treta Yuga had the unique opportunity to pray for Lord Rama, not sure if  we were given chance to pray for Lord Krishana's well being in Dwapara Yuga, not sure how many got a chance to pray for Lord Jesus who was bleeding in pain on the cross, but this Kali Age, we are given the rare chance of praying for the wellbeing of the DIVINE and what a great fortune it is. This is what Swami has said on couple of occasions:

In July 2003 after His hip operation He said “What medicine did I use? The intense prayers of the devotees are My medicine....This body is not Mine. It is yours. Hence, it is your responsibility to look after this body…I have never used My divine power to cure myself…”  [  Guru Purnima Discourse 2003)

 Then in August 2003 He said: “the loving prayers of My devotees will heal Me...the prayer of the devotees is the panacea for this body.  Their prayers have given Me immense bliss”. [ 19 August 2003, Krishnashtami, Prasanthi Nilayam)

This only shows, how important Namasmarana is in Kali Age, Swami being the Avatar of this Kali Age doesn't need our prayers and best wishes but considering the kind of situations we are in, running after temporary things, becoming slaves to our MONKEY MINDS, He thought at least by asking to pray for Him we would get into Namasmarana which if looked at a micro level will only benefit us and not Him.

This unique Maha Mrityunjaya Yagna will be conducted at  Sadhu Vaswani Centre, 25 Cricklewood Lane, London NW2 1HP on Thursday 19^th August 2010 with 21 Omkars and Suprabhatam which will end on Sunday 22^nd August 2010 at 7:45 pm with thanks giving prayer to Swami and Maha prasadam. During the course of 85 hours of chanting, which is open for all, couples would be allowed to do abhishekam to the Mrityunjaya Lingam materialized by Swami for the UK.

There are so many such unique programmes that are being conducted all over the world. For devotees who want to conduct Mahamrityunjaya Yagna in their home countries would be given all the guidance and logistical support.

 For those who won't be able to be physically present in the UK, lets keep our mind and soul focussed on this unique yagna which ultimately will benefit us and our spiritual upliftment.

(Just want to share a little miracle which happened just when i finished typing this email, i was playing onthe background the live broadcast of bhajans on Sri Sankara website and suddenly the mrityunjaya namah Om  bhajan is being sung right now, which was a thrilling experience indeed and a PROOF of Swami's omnipresence)
