Purell hand sanitizing wipes are safe to be used on most surfaces but pose a risk to certain materialsThey're great for cleaning often-touched places because of their ability to work well on non-porous surfaces such as plastic, glass, and metal. However, the alcohol content in sanitizing wipes may cause discoloration or slight degradation over time on sensitive surfaces such as leather, untreated wood, and some types of textiles. One should always take little patch test before using the Purell hand sanitizing wipes if used frequently and heed the care instructions for sensitive materials, so as not to damage them.
