General: How much does it cost to hire a book writer?

I’ve poured my heart into this cookbook—every recipe has been tested and perfected, but the intro and personal anecdotes feel so boring. I want my cookbook to feel warm, relatable, and like a chat with a foodie friend, but right now, it’s reading more like a bland instruction manual. I’ve been researching ghostwriting services cost and quality-wise, but I’m unsure if hiring someone for just specific sections is worth it. Has anyone else had a ghostwriter edit or rewrite parts of their book instead of the whole thing? I need someone who can spice things up without making it cheesy (pun intended). If you’ve gone this route, how much did it cost, and was it worth the investment? |
