I was looking for a blinkie tutorial and I ran into this tutorial that reminds me of your tag, Rita, but it uses Displacement Map rather than Deformation Map.

I use PSP8 and I don't have Displacement Map unfortunately, so if that's what you used, then I'm out of luck.  I like the effect though, that's for sure.

some just run thru and pick out you have to make them *LOL* it is not something you need

Just wanted to show what I did with the displacement maps made from hooteye's

tutorials and the fireworks brushes posted at EFR. You really can't do much with fireworks

inless it is on black *LOL* and I don't much like that. any here it is.  Rita
