Stars and Stripes Font Challenge

I was looking for a 4th of July tutorial to try and offer as a challenge,
but I couldn't find any I liked. I decided to play with a patriotic font and came up with this challenge.
The font I used is called Stars & Stripes and you can find it Here.
On the tag, I used size 102 and a stroke of 2. The foreground color was set to #CA1616 and the bkg fill was #0C2A9A.
I used some free to use graphics and added a bit of bling to the fireworks graphic (which I duplicated to have 3 layers) using Xenofex2 Constellation with these settings:
layer 1- 4,00, 50, 50, 25, 100, 75, 45 degree rotation, tick keep original image
layer 2- Change star size to 6.00
layer 3- Change star size to 3.00
I hope you'll have fun playing with this font and share your results. I can't wait to see them.
There are a couple of gift tags for timber and Karla in my Judy Tags album Here.
If anyone else would like one, just let me know and I'll whip one up.

Loooove what you came up with, Judy!!!! And thank you for the beautiful tag gift ♥ I whipped up something for this challenge but it is not what I had in mind (well, half of it maybe). I really wanted to make the fireworks animated or add the constellation plugin if it only worked for me *boooooo* Here is my tag info:
Found image in web search. Color enhanced; dup layer and set it to gaus blur 3.00 & Soft Light blend mode
Used font in challenge and Scriptina
Text has a flag gradient; drop shadow of 3, 2, 50%, 3.00, black
Used Simone Scrappy Kits bling from her (SimoneAni409-420) Bling Series Two #410, set to screen blend
If anything else I forgot, I will post about it later lol

Karla! Your tag is awesome. Thanks for sharing your details. I love to see how other folks create their tags! Simone's animation really adds a nice touch to your colorful background image.
Glad you had time to play with this font. I wish I could help you with your plugins that won't work.
Have you tried to "google" for an answer to why your plugins might not be working?
for the tag. Hope you enjoy it.

Oh, I absolutely love the tag and enjoy it! :-)
And I did forget another step in my tag making lol The text has a EC 4000 glass effect with dup layering, blend mode and opacity adjusting (no exact idea since I was just doing all sorts of things to it lol).
I have read up on the plugins info and even deleted to download and install again. And it still does not read it. I do the same steps for all but some just will not work. Then again, I do have duplicate files of some plugins from different sources. I try one and look for another to see if that does the trick. I will have to try making a folder for them separate from PSP plugins folder. I am not happy with how MESSY and disorganized my laptop is...Too much stuff scattered and right now, I have a lot of zips that I need to go through. Many of which I forgot where I got the files from :-p |

What a great patriotic font, Judy, thanks for the font challenge! I had played a bit with this font the other day but didn't create anything I was happy with, so I had no results to show . But I'm not finished playing as I think this is a very unique font and I would like to make something. Thanks so much for the pressie! I love that you created a tag using elements and animation as well as the font . Wow, Karla... your snag is so eye catching! You found a perfect image to use with the font and the bling that you chose really adds that punch! I've snagged , thank you. Thank you both for sharing how you made your tags! It's great to have that to refer back to. |

I also cannot wait to see what you will create and share with us, Timber :-D You girls are wonderful at making and creating <3
Before I started getting into the recent challenges and updating my webs, I was working on glitter fills. I made new sets and was suppose to keep working on them - I even still have them open in my Animation Shop LOL! (yes, I keep everything on and open lol) I want to make stuff that is "WOW" worthy. But not sure I am capturing it just yet :-D
(OMG!!!! It is almost 3 AM and I have had this reply window open with my unfinished reply for over 2 hours! I totally forgot about it and ended up doing something else - post coming up *heh heh*) |
