Tutorial Challenge: Glass Bow by Nemesis (Old School, Text) - Treehouse Treasures

This is another older tutorial that is made available by the Wayback Machine.

The clear glass preset it calls for, is now known as Meadow's m_coconutice. The instructions for loading this preset are out of date. Just load it like you normally would.

Because I am getting into the fall spirit, I used color #F7650D for my text and bow. After resizing, I used the change to target brush to color my bow.

This is a simple tut to do. Have fun with it!

I hope you'll give this a try and return here to show off your results.

AAAAH! Oh great, for some reason when I open Effects > Texture it freezes and crashes my PSP. I opened it up again and it kept my work in progress but then I tried again and crashed. I opened PSP once more and this time, no work in progress. So I am guessing my PSP does not want me to play. Gosh, and I was so happy to get back my mojo LOL!!!!!!!!

I will not give up!

Well, I guess it will not work out for me. It keeps crashing when I open Effects > Texture Effects > Texture (meant to put that in first time I posted). So these is my "unfinished" results:

Oh no, Karla, sorry for your psp woes!! Your tag looks fab though!

Sometimes mine acts up too. I think it happens when I have been in psp for a while. If I close it down and open it again, it is better.

I am glad you got a chance to play.

Ty! Lol, I have too many PSP woes. But I will not let it stop me (^_~) and lol, mt sentence there was weird ("these is") I was going to type something else and forgot to correct myself.

It was fun trying this out even if not completed. <3

Great work, Girls! I've never tried this tutorial but the results are nice. This is a great font to use when you want to hang something below the text. I will definitely give this a play when I have more computer time. Thanks for posting the challenge, Judy!

Karla, my PSP crashes nearly every time I try to use the Mesh Warp Tool, and I can't exactly pinpoint why. Sometimes it works and sometimes it crashes. Maybe you can look in the Textures folder and see if there's some kind of file inside that might be causing the crash.
