Grrr... I really wanted to get the tut posted tonight, but I tried something different that I like more which means I need to edit the script and tutorial *sigh*. A writer's work is never done. Karla, I went through the Member Tutorials board and I moved all your mini tutorials to their own pages and linked everything, yadda yadda. Please check out your Tut Index page and your tutorial pages, and please let me know if I need to modify anything. You can add a separate thread on the General board or the Member Tutorials board to share your edits with me. If you're like me, then you may see something you'd like to change LOL. I love having your tutorials here and I can't wait to try a Mish Mash of Tutorials Text Tutorial! When I was adding the Mish Mash Tutorial it reminded me of the tutorial that I'm writing now. My tag was going to be another variation for the Sunrise'n'Set Tutorial but I wanted to try something new, so I "chromed" the text with settings from my Gold Bling Text Tutorial and then I threw in a noisy trail from a tutorial that I haven't written yet LOL. I still want to explore the many ways of creating a noisy trail because I think they are so eye catching. I think for sure I can get the first draft of the tut posted tomorrow and then I will work on adding all my notes after it's posted. I'd like Judy to test the scripts and I would sure love to find out if you can get these scripts to work for you. You wouldn't believe how fast this tag is made by using the scripts. It's really awesome to watch. Okay, I've blabbed enough. Whooo me? Never . |

You are too funny, Timber! I "never" blab myself.
Whenever I write out a tutorial (or notes), I am all confident thinking "Oh yeah, I got this covered". I go over it a few times and think it is all good or I may find something and edit. Then when I post it/share it, I see MORE things I have to change! It drives me nuts! I posted the Stellar Bling MANY times because I had to delete to fix. I will go through the tuts and make any changes, that is IF my eyes and brain do not play tricks on me!
Speaking of the Stellar tut, I have been playing with it some more and trying it out with different fonts. Looks so different on chucky fonts but it looks awesome still.
I will not give up on my situation with the plugins and scripts. A few days ago, I was messing again with the plugins and I do not know what in the world I did but I was able to get like 2 or 3 more plugins to work! I was sooooo happy! Then I messed with it again and they disappeared, along with other ones that worked lol So there I go again messing around and I was able to get them back! I have not touched anything yet because I am sure I will make them all disappear to the unknown. *spooky music*
Do any of you ever mix up tutorials when thinking you can do one because you have "memorized" the steps or feel you do not have to read the instructions? When I finally get the hang of one, I will do as many things with it as I can. Then I try another one and I do the same. After a while, I feel "confident". Sure, I will be able to for a while but then I end up mixing stuff up and go nuts when I cannot remember what tutorial the steps came from lol
*Ahem* Now who is blabbing

It looks like someone found the Motitags! You're soooo kawaii, Karla! LOL. I used to have a friend who would test my tutorials before the "official release". She would test version 7 (yes, I know some people still use it, can you believe that?), and I think version 9. I lost contact with her during the Facebook-Invasion-and-Abduction-of-PSPers period, so you and Judy are now my official tutorial testers. Makes ya feel special, dunt it? As a fellow tut writer yourself, I'm sure you understand how you can completely overlook some instruction that smacks someone else in the face, so I find it's always a good idea to have another person go through all the steps as written as a test of the tutorial and then put their own spin on other tutorial results. Years ago I used to remember steps from tutorials and which tutorial those steps came from, but now I take so many notes that I have become "note reliant" to a degree. I can't even remember how to make some of my own tutorial tags. I looked at one a month or so ago and I was scratching my head at my own notes LOL. So yes, I can understand getting tutorials and instructions mixed up. I'm happy to hear you have had some success with your plugins. My advice is to keep a Notepad file handy for recording anything that might help you pinpoint the circumstances when the plugins worked, i.e. after a fresh reboot of your computer or PSP, etc. I'm drooling for that blue tag of yours! Is that results from the Stellar Bling Tutorial? The color and noise are fantastic, love it! You've gotta share how you made that! |

Good afternoon ladies!
I see your new tut is up timber and I'll give it a whirl as soon as I can. I am anxious for sure!
Timber, I have to write everything down nowadays. My meoery isn't what it used to be.
Neither is my eyesight, even with glasses. I hope to get some new specs soon.
That is a gorgeous tag, Karla.
Check in with y'all in a bit

Heya ladies! Dropping in to see what I have missed :-D
I have fun looking through the smileys at A & S. There is so much to choose!
Oh, thankies! The blug tag is a result from the SBP glitter text tutorial (now what is the name...I swear my mind is a blank right now lol). Um, I believe I included the font name in the saved animation properties. Will check when I get on the comp :-)
I have paper at hand whenever I am on comp. I will chicken scratch (lol, bok bok) notes and colors (hex #s). And these are not well organized notes. Just like my brain lol |

Okay, the font is Candle Mustard (@ 150 pt). I used my blue fur texture/pattern to create it. And now I remember, drrrr, it is GreatKris SBP glitter text tut. I was thinking by Kes but that is my brain getting tuts mixed up lol
I followed the tutorial (skipped adding the DS), then added a new layer. Filled it with the fur texture and changed the blend mode to Hard Light. Merged all visible layers then added the DS. To finish it off, I enhanced the color (adjust > hue and saturation > automatic saturation enhancement) with the settings of: More colorful, Strong, (check) Skintones present.

Thank you , Karla, for your tag inspiration , your tag notes , your fur texture , and your Afterschool Festival Snaggie notes! With all of that I was able to create a look-alike for the GreatKris SBP Glitter Text (colored by Karla's fur) without using SuperBladePro. I made this tag with a Candle Mustard font, Karla's fur texture and PSP noise. I've tried to do some colorizing, but so far it looks best with the fur texture, but I love the look, so I'll keep playing. |

Yw girls and glad you like them ♥
Rawrrrrrrr! (^_~) Love the way that looks, Timber! Isnt that such a pretty font? Sorry it is a BIG sig but wanted to share it. I used the pink fur texture for this one and I do not remember what blend mode I used or any other settings I may have done do it lol

Well ladies, I have played in PSP off and on all day and created nothing worth saving or sharing.
There is always tomorrow, right? Timber and Karla your tags are gorgeous. I guess I'll go collect some more goodies and head to bed.

Ty Judy and I know how that goes Happens a lot with me but I think that is still a good thing because something will come out of it, eventually
Timber, in the Mystery Challenge page, are we supposed to reply to it with our results are is there (will there) be a page for that? Sorry, it is just that I did not see a page
I have been sort of zoning out on and off while being on the comp but I still have some energy to continue lol Plus, there is a pesky little mosquito that I need to take care of before it pokes at me. Saturday morning I got poked about 4 times and I was sort of clueless for a bit before I realized what had happened
Okay, I am off to see what other stuff I can get into before knocking out. See ya! Nighty night! |
