Aardvark Animations Animated Tiles Tag Gallery
Aardvark Animations has some of the coolest animated tiles that you can use as text fill or as ornamention to give your animated tags a dramatic look! They offered two types of animated tiles, Design Tiles and Glitter Tiles. I've mostly created with the glitter tiles but I've used both. Sadly the website is no longer online, but you can still access it through the Wayback Machine here.
Each of the animated tiles is previewed in Gold and color choices are offered. I was able to save quite a few of the color choices before the site went down but not all, so now I create my own by using the gold tile and Replace Color in Animation Shop. View the lesson, Replacing Colors in Animation Shop, to learn how to change the gold animated tiles into one of the color choices.
I was able to collect a whole set of tiles giving me the colors to make this chart (left). You can take the chart into Animation Shop to replace the colors of the gold tile into any of the colors choices from the chart.
Another option is to replace the colors of the gold tile to eight colors of your choosing. Take the chart into PSP and apply filters from the Brightness/Contrast, Color Balance, Hue/Saturation, or Plugins menus to change the colors into something that you like. If you have any questions about color replacing in Animation Shop, then please ask them on the lesson thread here.
Now... let's see your awesome animated tiles tags! If you would like to share a bit of history regarding your tag, then please include it. And feel free to make a comment, ask a question about a tag, or have a conversation. Enjoy! |

If I'm not mistaken, then I think this is the first tag I made using AA animated tiles. This tile is from the Glitter Tiles called Square 03. ![](/treehousetreasures/images/tbt06timberheartname.gif) The tutorial I used to make this tag is called Glitter-Ding by Zarbella. The tutorial is gone, but you can read the instructions via the Wayback Machine here. |

Here's my most recent tag using one of the Glitter Tiles, Spiral 03. I used the Color Replacer in AS to create a cyan-colored tile from the gold tile. The font used is Sunshine. ![](/treehousetreasures/images/tbt20timbersunshinespiralcyan.gif) |

It looks pretty good, Daphne, and any tag making is good practice ![](http://www.gabitos.com/animationssmilies/images/emthup.gif) . I'm in the process of writing up a tutorial for using animations as text fill, but I'm a slow writer ![](http://www.gabitos.com/animationssmilies/images/emthink2.gif) LOL. In the meantime, if you like my tag just above and you'd like one, then pick one of the glitter colors from the first message and I'll make a tag for you. Here's another tag that I made because I wanted to see how the Mint-colored spiral would look, so this is Mint using a font called Fuster. ![](/treehousetreasures/images/tbt20timberfusterspiralmint.gif) |

I made this tag for a tagger's game called Color My World; you're given a color and you make a tag using that color. I was given the color #FF40FF, and this is what I made. I used Glitter Tile Dots01 and Will-Harris Font. I thought these dots were perfect at giving the illusion of lights turning on and off in the buildings of the cityscape. ![](/treehousetreasures/images/tbt08timbercmw3ff40ff.gif) |

I made this tag back in 2017 and it's still one of my favorite glitter tile tags. I used Orange Glitter Drops02 and Kingthings Widow Font. I glassed my text to give it a shiny look and added a blurred background using PSP Wind for more movement. ![](/treehousetreasures/images/tbt17timberkingthingswidowdrops.gif) |
