Hello and Welcome to the group,
Mystic! This group is very laid back, so it's fine for you to introduce yourself here on the Checking In thread.
I haven't been very active lately because of one project after the other, etc., but normally what I work on with PSP is making text tags. I'm sort of a font fanatic and when I see an interesting font, I'm drawn to playing with it and I usually end up making a name tag. If you have a look around, you'll see lots of those from me LOL.
This group started way back in the MSN Groups days. I was frequently asked how I made my tags, so I started writing tutorials. So my group was mostly about having a place for my tutorials. At one point in time right around when Facebook was becoming a big thing, the girl who ran the PSP group that I was a member of left the PSP world, so I invited some friends over to my tutorial group so we'd have a place to continue our love of PSP.
I never really wanted to be a group manager or admin, as it's more fun to play than work. So the way my group works is that when I create something new, I show off my results and turn the results into a challenge of some kind, and I encourage other members to do the same. Sometimes Judy or Karla will host a challenge, but usually I'm the one who does. But any member is encouraged to host a challenge of their own.
We don't really have tag offers here, but that doesn't mean that you couldn't make a tag offer if you wanted to. We don't have any games here but I've thought about adding a couple of my favorite tagger games. I like to think of the group as more of a learning group, and like you, I'd love to learn how to animate figures and such. I can create simple animated tags, but I'd love to learn how to move legs and arms and that kind of thing. There's still so much for me to learn about PSP even though I've been playing for about 15 years.
If you have any questions feel free to ask them here as that is where most of the conversation goes on, but if the question is related to any of the challenges, then it would probably be best to ask the question in the challenge. Anywho, welcome aboard and I hope you find something of interest here!
Daphne, your sparkly tags look really pretty! Keep up the good work.
I've created a few new tags, just playing around. I showed one of the new tags on a challenge for SuperBladePro using the snowball glitter preset, so check that out if you like. And I've been playing a bit with Karla's Halftone tutorial and one of her glitter tiles. I haven't decided what kind of challenge to set up for this, but I'll show my results to you so you can see what I've been playing at.
