Making Movies
This tutorial will show you how to make a mini movie from a single image.
I am using PSP 8 so if you are using a different version, your tool placement may be different.
All you need for this tutorial is PSP, Animation Shop and a graphic. One that is tiled works best since you will see the seam when your movie is played.
Here is what we will be making.
Choose a graphic of your own or use mine here.
Let's begin!
Open your graphic in PSP. The one I am using is 80X88. Open a new image the same height as your image and twice as wide. I opened a new image 160X88. I will call this new image "double image".
Copy and paste your graphic into your double image. Move the graphic all the way to the left. Make a new raster layer and copy and paste the graphic again into your double image. This time move the image all the way to the right.
It should look like this.
Now we are ready to create our frames for our movie. Click on your selection tool and then click on the custom selection box.
Set your left margin to 0 Set your top margin to 0 Set the right margin to 80 Set the bottom margin to 88
Click ok.
Go to edit ...copy...paste as new image. I will call this new image "Movie".
Click on the top frame of your "double image" to make it active and again click on your custom selection box.
This time, increase your left and right margins by 4. (Your left will be 4 and your right will be 84)
Go to edit...copy Click on the top frame of your "movie" image to make it active. edit.... paste as new layer.
Again, click on the top frame of your "double image" to make it active and click on your custom selection box. Increase your left and right margin by four. click ok. edit...copy
Select movie image and paste as new layer. Continue making your movie frames in this way until your left and right margins are 76 and 156. This will be your last frame.
Save your movie image as a psp image.
Be sure to click on the options tab and check the box next to psp 7 compatible, so you will be able to open your image in Animation shop.
Now to view your movie!
Open Animation Shop and click open and browse to where your movie image is saved. Open your movie and click on view animation.
You can adjust the speed if you'd like and then save your movie as a gif.
I'd love to see your results! You can post them with the other member results HERE
