El verdadero alquimista ha evidenciado que su obra guarda
relación directa con la transformación del alma humana
La piedra ha recibido también diversos nombres a causa de la
maravillosa multiplicidad de figuras que aparecen en el transcurso de
la obra, al surgir en seguida colores, así como imaginamos en las
nubes o en el fuego extrañas figuras de animales, reptiles o árboles.
Así encontré algo similar —prosigue el autor— en un libro atribuido a
Moisés: Cuando el cuerpo se ha deshecho, se dice en él, entonces
aparecen a veces dos ramas, a veces tres o más, a veces también
figuras de reptiles; en ocasiones aparece también como un hombre
sentado en un estrado, con cabeza y todos sus miembros .»
Como los dos textos precedentes, también las explicaciones de
Hoghelande prueban que durante el trabajo práctico se percibían
alucinaciones o visiones que no pueden ser otra cosa que proyecciones
de contenidos inconscientes. Hoghelande cita un pasaje de Senior,
donde se dice que la visión del recipiente hermético se ha de buscar
más que la escritura . (No está claro a qué se refiere con la palabra
scriptura: ¿quizás a la descripción normal del recipiente en los
tratados de los maestros?) Los autores hablan de mirar con los ojos
del espíritu, no apreciándose siempre con claridad si se trata de una
visión en el sentido auténtico o en el metafórico. Así, el Novum lumen
dice:
«Al filósofo inteligente le ha sido permitido por Dios, por el camino
de la naturaleza (per naturam), hacer que aparezcan las cosas ocultas
en la sombra y quitar de ellas la sombra... Todas estas cosas ocurren,
y los ojos de las personas normales no las ven, pero los ojos del
entendimiento (intelectus) y la imaginación las perciben (percipiunt)
con una mirada (visu) verdadera, la más verdadera.»
Raimundo Lulio escribe:
«Debes saber, querido hijo, que el curso de la naturaleza ha cambiado,
por lo que sin invocarlos (scilicet: del familiaris, por ejemplo) y
sin exaltación espiritual puedes ver, condensados en el aire, a los
espíritus que se van alejando o se han alejado; puedes verlos en forma
de animales monstruosos o de personas que, cual las nubes, se mueven
tan pronto de aquí para allá como de allí para acá .»
En forma parecida se expresa Dorn :
«Así percibirá con los ojos de su espíritu (oculis mentalibus)
gradualmente un número indeterminado de chispas que irán aumentando de
día en día y las verá crecer hasta resultar en una gran luz.»
Pero para el psicólogo no es ningún fenómeno extraño el hecho de que
una metáfora se convierta ocasionalmente en una ilusión de los
sentidos. Por ejemplo, Hoghelande (1594) en sus notas biográficas,
describe cómo en el tercer día de la decoctio vio que la superficie de
la sustancia se cubría de colores, fundamentalmente «verde, rojo, gris
y, por lo demás irisados». Siempre que se acordaba de aquel día,
acudía a su memoria el verso de Virgilio Ut vidi, ut perii, ut me
malus abstulit error [Cuando vi que me hundía, que me resultaba fatal
un pérfido error]. Este error o, concretamente, esta ilusión de los
sentidos (ludibrium oculis oblatum) parece, según él, haber sido la
causa de muchos esfuerzos posteriores. Pues había creído —sigue
diciendo— que alcanzaría ahora el nigredo. Pero, después de pocos días
—sigue su relato— el fuego se le extinguió durante toda la noche, con
lo que se produjo un irreparabile dannum, es decir, ya no consiguió la
repetición del fenómeno . Aunque precisamente la película irisada de
los metales en fusión no tiene por qué ser, en modo alguno, una
ilusión de los sentidos, el texto, sin embargo, muestra una llamativa
disposición del autor a pensar en su existencia.
El Tractatus Aristotelis nos ofrece un pasaje muy notable para
estudiar la psicología del alquimista:
«La serpiente es más astuta que cualquier otro animal de la Tierra.
Bajo la belleza de su piel, muestra un rostro inocente y se forma en
cierto modo como una materia hypostatica mediante ilusión cuando la
sumerge en el agua. Es allí donde reúne entonces las fuerzas
(virtutes) de la Tierra, ése es su cuerpo. Debido a estar muy
sedienta, bebió con desmesura, por lo que
se embriagó; y consigue que desaparezca (decipere) la naturaleza, con
la que es reunida . »
La serpiente es Mercurio, el que, como sustancia fundamental
(hypostatica) se forma a sí mismo en el «agua» y dévora a la
naturaleza que se ha unido con él. (El Sol, que se ahoga en la fuente
de Mercurio; el león que devora al Sol; Beya, que disuelve en ella a
Gabricus.) La materia se forma mediante ilusión, la cual es
obligadamente la del alquimista. Esta ilusión podría ser la vera
imaginatio, la cual posee fuerza «informante».
Mediante el hecho de que las visiones iban unidas a la obra
alquimista, posiblemente se pueda explicar también que no sea
infrecuente la mención de los sueños y visiones oníricas como
intermedios importantes de la misma o como fuentes de revelación. Por
ejemplo, Nazari viste su teoría de la transmutación con la forma de
tres sueños, guardando una analogía bastante clara con el Pholiphile .
La Visio Arislei clásica tiene una forma onírica similar . Igualmente
recubre Ostanes con una revelación onírica la comunicación de su
doctrina . En estos escritos, como también en los de Senior y Krates,
el sueño y la visión presentan una forma particularmente literaria; en
cambio, la visión onírica presenta en el caso de Zósimo un carácter
esencialmente más auténtico . Se destaca reiteradamente en la
literatura que la buscada aqua permanent sería revelada en el sueño .
En definitiva, la prima materia, así como la piedra misma, así como el
secreto de su obtención, son reveladas por Dios al alquimista. Y así,
Laurencio Ventura dice : «Pero el método no se puede saber, salvo que
se trate de un regalo divino o se haya aprendido de un maestro
experimentadísimo: y todo esto se deriva de la voluntad divina.»
Kunrath opina que muy bien nuestro chaos naturale (igual a primera
materia) se podría preparar perfectamente / mediante una especial y
secreta visión de Dios y revelación / sin tener que investigar y
cavilar sobre las causas / ... con la máxima sencillez .» Hoghelande
fundamenta la necesidad de la iluminación divina mediante el hecho de
que la obtención de la piedra está por encima del entendimiento y que
sólo un conocimiento sobrenatural y divino sabe el momento exacto de
la formación de la piedra . Concretamente, sólo Dios conoce la prima
materia .
En los tiempos posteriores a Paracelso, la fuente de iluminación es la
lumen naturae:
«Esta luz es la verdadera luz de la naturaleza, / la cual ilumina a
todos los filósofos amantes de Dios que hay en este mundo. Está en el
mundo, / y toda la textura del mundo está adornada hermosamente por la
misma, / y también hasta el día último y grande del Señor / será
sostenida por lo mismo natural; pero el mundo no lo reconoce: está
primero en el subiecto de la católica y gran piedra de los sabios /
que... el mundo entero tiene delante de sus ojos / y, sin embargo, no
la conoce .»
La postura espiritual respecto a la obra
La siguiente cita, del texto de un autor anónimo, muestra un aspecto
algo distinto de las relaciones de lo psíquico con el trabajo
químico : «Contempla con los ojos del espíritu el arbolito del grano
de trigo en el aspecto de todas sus circunstancias, para que puedas
plantar el árbol de los filósofos», etc. . Esto parece apuntar a una
imaginación activa, la cual pone auténticamente el proceso en marcha.
Dorneo dice en su Philosophia meditativa : «Jamás harás lo uno de
otras cosas si primero no eres uno tú mismo.» Sea cualquiera lo que el
alquimista quiera decir al hablar de «uno» , se refiere ello al sujeto
del «artista», cuya unidad se califica de conditio sine qua non para
llevar a término completo la obra. Apenas se puede poner en duda que
se trata de la condición psicológica de la obra, y que ésta tiene una
importancia fundamental.
El Rosarium philosophorum dice :
«Por consiguiente, quien conoce la sal y su solución, conoce el
secreto oculto de los antiguos sabios. Por tanto, orienta tu espíritu
hacia la sal, pues en él (el espírtu) sólo (in ipsa sola, referido a
mens) está escondida la ciencia y el secreto más oculto de todos los
antiguos filósofos» .
Habría de admitirse aquí un doble error de imprenta si el secreto se
refiriese a la sal. Por lo demás, «espíritu» y «sal» son parientes
próximos (cum grano salis) . Así, la sal es, para Khunrath, no sólo el
centro físico de la Tierra, sino también la sal sapientiae , de la que
dice: «Por tanto, orienta tu ánimo / sentidos / razón y pensamientos
sólo a esta sal .» El autor anónimo del Rosarium dice en otro lugar
que la obra «tiene que hacerse con la imaginación verdadera y no con
la fantástica» ; y, en otro lugar, que la piedra será encontrada
«cuando la investigación sea molesta para el investigador» .
Posiblemente no se pueda interpretar esta observación sino en el
sentido de que, una vez más, la condición psicológica es considerada
imprescindible para el hallazgo de la piedra maravillosa.
Por consiguiente, ambas observaciones hacen aparecer posible que el
autor sostenga realmente la opinión de que el secreto esencial del
arte está escondido en el espíritu humano; es decir en el
inconsciente, según la expresión moderna.
Realmente, el alquimista ha vislumbrado que su obra guarda relación de
algún modo con el alma humana y las funciones de ésta, por lo que
estima probable que el pasaje del Rosarium antes mencionado no sea un
simple error de imprenta. Concretamente, concuerda demasiado bien con
manifestaciones de otros autores. Sobre todo se insiste de modo
continuo en el estudio cuidadoso de los libros y en la meditación de
los mismo. Ricardo Anglico dice a este respecto en su Correctorium
fatuorum:
«Y por ello, todos los que pretenden alcanzar el beneficio de este
arte han de dedicarse al estudio y sacar de los libros la verdad, y no
de fábulas imaginadas ni de obras embusteras, ya que este arte no se
puede lograr de manera alguna (a pesar de que los seres humanos son
víctimas de muchas ilusiones) si no es por medio de un estudio total y
del conocimiento de las palabras de los filósofos, etc.» .
Bernardo Trevisano relata cómo se esforzó en vano durante años antes
de ser llevado por fin a camino verdadero mediante un sermo de
Parménides en la Turba .
Hoghelande escribe:
«Que reúna los libros de diversos autores, pues de otro modo es
imposible su conocimiento, y no arroje lejos de sí un libro leído una,
dos o tres veces, aunque no lo comprenda, sino que lo lea diez, veinte
y cincuenta veces y más aún. Verá, por fin, en qué coinciden la
mayoría de los autores: es ahí, concretamente, donde está oculta la
verdad», etc.
Remitiéndose a Raimundo Lulio, el mismo autor dice que, a consecuencia
de su falta de saber, los hombres no pueden realizar la obra hasta no
haber recorrido en toda su extensión la filosofía universal, la cual
les revela lo que para otros permanece oculto y desconocido. «Por
ello, nuestra piedra no pertenece al hombre trivial, sino a lo más
profundo de nuestra filosofía .» Dionisio Zacario cuenta que un cierto
religiosus doctur excellentissimus le había aconsejado abstenerse de
obras inútiles en sophisticationibus diabolicis y que era preferible
se dedicara al estudio de los libros de los antiguos filósofos para
conocer la vera materia. Continúa diciendo que después de un acceso de
desesperación se había rehecho con la ayuda del espíritu divino, se
había dedicado a la lectura seria de los libros, leyéndolos con
aplicación y meditando día y noche hasta el agotamiento de su
hacienda. Trabajó después, vio la aparición de los tres colores, y el
milagro aconteció el día de Pascua, dentro de un año: vidi
perfectionem, o sea que el mercurio conversum in purum aurum prae meis
oculis. (Esto ocurrió, según el autor, en 1550 .) Refleja esto, cuando
menos, una gran dependencia de la obra y la meta de ésta respecto de
una condición previa espiritual. Ricardo Anglico reprueba a todos la
su ciedad con que trabajaban los alquimistas: cascaras de huevo,
pelos, sangre de una persona pelirroja, basiliscos, gusanos, hierbas y
excrementos humanos. «El hombre cosecha lo que siembra. Por tanto, si
siembra suciedad encontrará suciedad también .» «Volved, hermanos, al
camino de la verdad, del que no tenéis conocimiento. Por ello os
aconsejo, en beneficio vuestro, estudiar y trabajar reflexionando de
manera continua sobre las palabras de los filósofos, de las cuales se
puede obtener la verdad»

5. Llegando sus discípulos al otro lado, se habían olvidado de traer pan.
6. Y Jesús les dijo: Mirad, guardaos de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos.
7. Ellos pensaban dentro de sí, diciendo: Esto dice porque no trajimos pan.
8. Y entendiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis dentro de vosotros, hombres de poca fe, que no tenéis pan?
9. ¿No entendéis aún, ni os acordáis de los cinco panes entre cinco mil hombres, y cuántas cestas recogisteis?
10. ¿Ni de los siete panes entre cuatro mil, y cuántas canastas recogisteis?
11. ¿Cómo es que no entendéis que no fue por el pan que os dije que os guardaseis de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos?
12. Entonces entendieron que no les había dicho que se guardasen de la levadura del pan, sino de la doctrina de los fariseos y de los saduceos.
13. Viniendo Jesús a la región de Cesarea de Filipo, preguntó a sus discípulos, diciendo: ¿Quién dicen los hombres que es el Hijo del Hombre?
14. Ellos dijeron: Unos, Juan el Bautista; otros, Elías; y otros, Jeremías, o alguno de los profetas.
15. El les dijo: Y vosotros, ¿quién decís que soy yo?
16. Respondiendo Simón Pedro, dijo: Tú eres el Cristo, el Hijo del Dios viviente.
17. Entonces le respondió Jesús: Bienaventurado eres, Simón, hijo de Jonás, porque no te lo reveló carne ni sangre, sino mi Padre que está en los cielos. (EL VATICANO ES UN NEXO CON LAS PLEYADES, SIRIO Y ORION)
18. Y yo también te digo, que tú eres Pedro, y sobre esta roca edificaré mi iglesia; y las puertas del Hades no prevalecerán contra ella.
19. Y a ti te daré las llaves del reino de los cielos; y todo lo que atares en la tierra será atado en los cielos; y todo lo que desatares en la tierra será desatado en los cielos.
20. Entonces mandó a sus discípulos que a nadie dijesen que él era Jesús el Cristo.
21. Desde entonces comenzó Jesús a declarar a sus discípulos que le era necesario ir a Jerusalén y padecer mucho de los ancianos, de los principales sacerdotes y de los escribas; y ser muerto, y resucitar al tercer día.
22. Entonces Pedro, tomándolo aparte, comenzó a reconvenirle, diciendo: Señor, ten compasión de ti; en ninguna manera esto te acontezca.
23. Pero él, volviéndose, dijo a Pedro: ¡Quítate de delante de mí, Satanás!; me eres tropiezo, porque no pones la mira en las cosas de Dios, sino en las de los hombres.
24. Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, y tome su cruz, y sígame.
25. Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
26. Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre, si ganare todo el mundo, y perdiere su alma? ¿O qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?
27. Porque el Hijo del Hombre vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con sus ángeles, y entonces pagará a cada uno conforme a sus obras.
28. De cierto os digo que hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte, hasta que hayan visto al Hijo del Hombre viniendo en su reino.
Mateo 17
1. Seis días después, Jesús tomó a Pedro, a Jacobo y a Juan su hermano, y los llevó aparte a un monte alto; (ESTA RELACIONADO CON JUAN MARCOS, EN EL CONTEXTO A HECHOS 12. EL TRIO, EN EL MARCO A LA TRANSFIGURACION ES UN NEXO CON ORION.)
2. y se transfiguró delante de ellos, y resplandeció su rostro como el sol, y sus vestidos se hicieron blancos como la luz.
3. Y he aquí les aparecieron Moisés y Elías, hablando con él.
4. Entonces Pedro dijo a Jesús: Señor, bueno es para nosotros que estemos aquí; si quieres, hagamos aquí tres enramadas: una para ti, otra para Moisés, y otra para Elías.
5. Mientras él aún hablaba, una nube de luz los cubrió; y he aquí una voz desde la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado, en quien tengo complacencia; a él oíd.
6. Al oír esto los discípulos, se postraron sobre sus rostros, y tuvieron gran temor.
7. Entonces Jesús se acercó y los tocó, y dijo: Levantaos, y no temáis.
8. Y alzando ellos los ojos, a nadie vieron sino a Jesús solo.
9. Cuando descendieron del monte, Jesús les mandó, diciendo: No digáis a nadie la visión, hasta que el Hijo del Hombre resucite de los muertos.
10. Entonces sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Por qué, pues, dicen los escribas que es necesario que Elías venga primero?
11. Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: A la verdad, Elías viene primero, y restaurará todas las cosas.
12. Mas os digo que Elías ya vino, y no le conocieron, sino que hicieron con él todo lo que quisieron; así también el Hijo del Hombre padecerá de ellos.
13. Entonces los discípulos comprendieron que les había hablado de Juan el Bautista.
14. Cuando llegaron al gentío, vino a él un hombre que se arrodilló delante de él, diciendo:
15. Señor, ten misericordia de mi hijo, que es lunático, y padece muchísimo; porque muchas veces cae en el fuego, y muchas en el agua.
16. Y lo he traído a tus discípulos, pero no le han podido sanar.
17. Respondiendo Jesús, dijo: ¡Oh generación incrédula y perversa! ¿Hasta cuándo he de estar con vosotros? ¿Hasta cuándo os he de soportar? Traédmelo acá.
18. Y reprendió Jesús al demonio, el cual salió del muchacho, y éste quedó sano desde aquella hora.
19. Viniendo entonces los discípulos a Jesús, aparte, dijeron: ¿Por qué nosotros no pudimos echarlo fuera?
20. Jesús les dijo: Por vuestra poca fe; porque de cierto os digo, que si tuviereis fe como un grano de mostaza, diréis a este monte: Pásate de aquí allá, y se pasará; y nada os será imposible.
21. Pero este género no sale sino con oración y ayuno.
22. Estando ellos en Galilea, Jesús les dijo: El Hijo del Hombre será entregado en manos de hombres,
23. y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará. Y ellos se entristecieron en gran manera.
24. Cuando llegaron a Capernaum, vinieron a Pedro los que cobraban las dos dracmas,y le dijeron: ¿Vuestro Maestro no paga las dos dracmas?
25. El dijo: Sí. Y al entrar él en casa, Jesús le habló primero, diciendo: ¿Qué te parece, Simón? Los reyes de la tierra, ¿de quiénes cobran los tributos o los impuestos? ¿De sus hijos, o de los extraños?
26. Pedro le respondió: De los extraños. Jesús le dijo: Luego los hijos están exentos.
27. Sin embargo, para no ofenderles, ve al mar, y echa el anzuelo, y el primer pez que saques, tómalo, y al abrirle la boca, hallarás un estatero; tómalo, y dáselo por mí y por ti.
Mateo 18
1. En aquel tiempo los discípulos vinieron a Jesús, diciendo: ¿Quién es el mayor en el reino de los cielos?
2. Y llamando Jesús a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos,
3. y dijo: De cierto os digo, que si no os volvéis y os hacéis como niños, no entraréis en el reino de los cielos.
4. Así que, cualquiera que se humille como este niño, ése es el mayor en el reino de los cielos.
5. Y cualquiera que reciba en mi nombre a un niño como este, a mí me recibe.
6. Y cualquiera que haga tropezar a alguno de estos pequeños que creen en mí, mejor le fuera que se le colgase al cuello una piedra de molino de asno, y que se le hundiese en lo profundo del mar.
7. ¡Ay del mundo por los tropiezos! porque es necesario que vengan tropiezos, pero ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien viene el tropiezo!
8. Por tanto, si tu mano o tu pie te es ocasión de caer, córtalo y échalo de ti; mejor te es entrar en la vida cojo o manco, que teniendo dos manos o dos pies ser echado en el fuego eterno.
9. Y si tu ojo te es ocasión de caer, sácalo y échalo de ti; mejor te es entrar con un solo ojo en la vida, que teniendo dos ojos ser echado en el infierno de fuego.
10. Mirad que no menospreciéis a uno de estos pequeños; porque os digo que sus ángeles en los cielos ven siempre el rostro de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
Hechos 12
1. En aquel mismo tiempo el rey Herodes echó mano a algunos de la iglesia para maltratarles.

3. Y viendo que esto había agradado a los judíos, procedió a prender también a Pedro. Eran entonces los días de los panes sin levadura.
4. Y habiéndole tomado preso, le puso en la cárcel, entregándole a cuatro grupos de cuatro soldados cada uno, para que le custodiasen; y se proponía sacarle al pueblo después de la pascua.
5. Así que Pedro estaba custodiado en la cárcel; pero la iglesia hacía sin cesar oración a Dios por él.
6. Y cuando Herodes le iba a sacar, aquella misma noche estaba Pedro durmiendo entre dos soldados, sujeto con dos cadenas, y los guardas delante de la puerta custodiaban la cárcel.
7. Y he aquí que se presentó un ángel del Señor, y una luz resplandeció en la cárcel; y tocando a Pedro en el costado, le despertó, diciendo: Levántate pronto. Y las cadenas se le cayeron de las manos.
8. Le dijo el ángel: Cíñete, y átate las sandalias. Y lo hizo así. Y le dijo: Envuélvete en tu manto, y sígueme.
9. Y saliendo, le seguía; pero no sabía que era verdad lo que hacía el ángel, sino que pensaba que veía una visión.
10. Habiendo pasado la primera y la segunda guardia, llegaron a la puerta de hierro que daba a la ciudad, la cual se les abrió por sí misma; y salidos, pasaron una calle, y luego el ángel se apartó de él.
11. Entonces Pedro, volviendo en sí, dijo: Ahora entiendo verdaderamente que el Señor ha enviado su ángel, y me ha librado de la mano de Herodes, y de todo lo que el pueblo de los judíos esperaba.
12. Y habiendo considerado esto, llegó a casa de María la madre de Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos, donde muchos estaban reunidos orando.
13. Cuando llamó Pedro a la puerta del patio, salió a escuchar una muchacha llamada Rode,
14. la cual, cuando reconoció la voz de Pedro, de gozo no abrió la puerta, sino que corriendo adentro, dio la nueva de que Pedro estaba a la puerta.
15. Y ellos le dijeron: Estás loca. Pero ella aseguraba que así era. Entonces ellos decían: ¡Es su ángel!
16. Mas Pedro persistía en llamar; y cuando abrieron y le vieron, se quedaron atónitos.
17. Pero él, haciéndoles con la mano señal de que callasen, les contó cómo el Señor le había sacado de la cárcel. Y dijo: Haced saber esto a Jacobo y a los hermanos. Y salió, y se fue a otro lugar.
18. Luego que fue de día, hubo no poco alboroto entre los soldados sobre qué había sido de Pedro.
19. Mas Herodes, habiéndole buscado sin hallarle, después de interrogar a los guardas, ordenó llevarlos a la muerte. Después descendió de Judea a Cesarea y se quedó allí.
20. Y Herodes estaba enojado contra los de Tiro y de Sidón; pero ellos vinieron de acuerdo ante él, y sobornado Blasto, que era camarero mayor del rey, pedían paz, porque su territorio era abastecido por el del rey.
21. Y un día señalado, Herodes, vestido de ropas reales, se sentó en el tribunal y les arengó.
22. Y el pueblo aclamaba gritando: ¡Voz de Dios, y no de hombre!
23. Al momento un ángel del Señor le hirió, por cuanto no dio la gloria a Dios; y expiró comido de gusanos.
24. Pero la palabra del Señor crecía y se multiplicaba.
25. Y Bernabé y Saulo, cumplido su servicio, volvieron de Jerusalén, llevando también consigo a Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos.

1. Habiendo reunido a sus doce discípulos, les dio poder y autoridad sobre todos los demonios, y para sanar enfermedades.
2. Y los envió a predicar el reino de Dios, y a sanar a los enfermos.
3. Y les dijo:No toméis nada para el camino, ni bordón, ni alforja, ni pan, ni dinero; ni llevéis dos túnicas.
4. Y en cualquier casa donde entréis, quedad allí, y de allí salid.
5. Y dondequiera que no os recibieren, salid de aquella ciudad, y sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies en testimonio contra ellos.
6. Y saliendo, pasaban por todas las aldeas, anunciando el evangelio y sanando por todas partes.
7. Herodes el tetrarca oyó de todas las cosas que hacía Jesús; y estaba perplejo, porque decían algunos: Juan ha resucitado de los muertos;
8. otros: Elías ha aparecido; y otros: Algún profeta de los antiguos ha resucitado.
9. Y dijo Herodes: A Juan yo le hice decapitar; ¿quién, pues, es éste, de quien oigo tales cosas? Y procuraba verle.
10. Vueltos los apóstoles, le contaron todo lo que habían hecho. Y tomándolos, se retiró aparte, a un lugar desierto de la ciudad llamada Betsaida.
11. Y cuando la gente lo supo, le siguió; y él les recibió, y les hablaba del reino de Dios, y sanaba a los que necesitaban ser curados.
12. Pero el día comenzaba a declinar; y acercándose los doce, le dijeron: Despide a la gente, para que vayan a las aldeas y campos de alrededor, y se alojen y encuentren alimentos; porque aquí estamos en lugar desierto.
13. El les dijo: Dadles vosotros de comer. Y dijeron ellos: No tenemos más que cinco panes y dos pescados, a no ser que vayamos nosotros a comprar alimentos para toda esta multitud.
14. Y eran como cinco mil hombres. Entonces dijo a sus discípulos: Hacedlos sentar en grupos, de cincuenta en cincuenta.
15. Así lo hicieron, haciéndolos sentar a todos.
16. Y tomando los cinco panes y los dos pescados, levantando los ojos al cielo, los bendijo, y los partió, y dio a sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante de la gente.
17. Y comieron todos, y se saciaron; y recogieron lo que les sobró, doce cestas de pedazos.
18. Aconteció que mientras Jesús oraba aparte, estaban con él los discípulos; y les preguntó, diciendo: ¿Quién dice la gente que soy yo?
19. Ellos respondieron: Unos, Juan el Bautista; otros, Elías; y otros, que algún profeta de los antiguos ha resucitado.

23. Y decía a todos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz cada día, y sígame.
24. Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mí, éste la salvará.
25. Pues ¿qué aprovecha al hombre, si gana todo el mundo, y se destruye o se pierde a sí mismo?
26. Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras, de éste se avergonzará el Hijo del Hombre cuando venga en su gloria, y en la del Padre, y de los santos ángeles.
27. Pero os digo en verdad, que hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte hasta que vean el reino de Dios.
28. Aconteció como ocho días después de estas palabras, que tomó a Pedro, a Juan y a Jacobo, y subió al monte a orar.
29. Y entre tanto que oraba, la apariencia de su rostro se hizo otra, y su vestido blanco y resplandeciente.
30. Y he aquí dos varones que hablaban con él, los cuales eran Moisés y Elías;
31. quienes aparecieron rodeados de gloria, y hablaban de su partida, que iba Jesús a cumplir en Jerusalén.
32. Y Pedro y los que estaban con él estaban rendidos de sueño; mas permaneciendo despiertos, vieron la gloria de Jesús, y a los dos varones que estaban con él.
33. Y sucedió que apartándose ellos de él, Pedro dijo a Jesús: Maestro, bueno es para nosotros que estemos aquí; y hagamos tres enramadas, una para ti, una para Moisés, y una para Elías; no sabiendo lo que decía.
34. Mientras él decía esto, vino una nube que los cubrió; y tuvieron temor al entrar en la nube.

38. Y he aquí, un hombre de la multitud clamó diciendo: Maestro, te ruego que veas a mi hijo, pues es el único que tengo;
39. y sucede que un espíritu le toma, y de repente da voces, y le sacude con violencia, y le hace echar espuma, y estropeándole, a duras penas se aparta de él.
40. Y rogué a tus discípulos que le echasen fuera, y no pudieron.
41. Respondiendo Jesús, dijo: ¡Oh generación incrédula y perversa! ¿Hasta cuándo he de estar con vosotros, y os he de soportar? Trae acá a tu hijo.
42. Y mientras se acercaba el muchacho, el demonio le derribó y le sacudió con violencia; pero Jesús reprendió al espíritu inmundo, y sanó al muchacho, y se lo devolvió a su padre.
43. Y todos se admiraban de la grandeza de Dios.
Y maravillándose todos de todas las cosas que hacía, dijo a sus discípulos:
44. Haced que os penetren bien en los oídos estas palabras; porque acontecerá que el Hijo del Hombre será entregado en manos de hombres.
45. Mas ellos no entendían estas palabras, pues les estaban veladas para que no las entendiesen; y temían preguntarle sobre esas palabras.
46. Entonces entraron en discusión sobre quién de ellos sería el mayor.
47. 49. Entonces respondiendo Juan, dijo: Maestro, hemos visto a uno que echaba fuera demonios en tu nombre; y se lo prohibimos, porque no sigue con nosotros.
50. Jesús le dijo: No se lo prohibáis; porque el que no es contra nosotros, por nosotros es.
51. Cuando se cumplió el tiempo en que él había de ser recibido arriba, afirmó su rostro para ir a Jerusalén.
52. Y envió mensajeros delante de él, los cuales fueron y entraron en una aldea de los samaritanos para hacerle preparativos.
53. Mas no le recibieron, porque su aspecto era como de ir a Jerusalén.
54. Viendo esto sus discípulos Jacobo y Juan, dijeron: Señor, ¿quieres que mandemos que descienda fuego del cielo, como hizo Elías, y los consuma?
55. Entonces volviéndose él, los reprendió, diciendo: Vosotros no sabéis de qué espíritu sois;
56. porque el Hijo del Hombre no ha venido para perder las almas de los hombres, sino para salvarlas. Y se fueron a otra aldea.
57. Yendo ellos, uno le dijo en el camino: Señor, te seguiré adondequiera que vayas.
58. Y le dijo Jesús: Las zorras tienen guaridas, y las aves de los cielos nidos; mas el Hijo del Hombre no tiene dónde recostar la cabeza.
59. Y dijo a otro: Sígueme. El le dijo: Señor, déjame que primero vaya y entierre a mi padre.
60. Jesús le dijo: Deja que los muertos entierren a sus muertos; y tú ve, y anuncia el reino de Dios.
61. Entonces también dijo otro: Te seguiré, Señor; pero déjame que me despida primero de los que están en mi casa.
62. Y Jesús le dijo: Ninguno que poniendo su mano en el arado mira hacia atrás, es apto para el reino de Dios. |

PART 3 - NAZCA
The glyphs and lines at Nazca are oriented along the alignment of ancient sites. The image below of the glyphs at Nazca with a compass bearing, is available on the internet, but it is usually oriented away from the cardinal points so that the figures are roughly horizontal and vertical. Rotating this image so that the north-south axis is vertical, aligns most of the figures and geometric drawings with the alignment of ancient sites as it crosses Nazca.
The illustration of the Nazca lines above has also been rotated so that the north-south axis is vertical, and shows the primary orientation of the lines is from southwest to northeast, matching the great circle alignment of ancient sites as it crosses Nazca.
The distance from the Nazca lines to Giza is 7692 miles. The distance from the axis point in southeastern Alaska to Giza and to Nazca is 6218 miles, forming an isosceles terrestrial triangle with a baselength of 7692 miles and sidelengths of 6218 miles.
The 3D global image above is centered in the middle of the terrestrial triangle. As a result, all three of the great circle segments are curved. The equal azimuthal projection below is centered on the axis point. As a result, the great circle segments from the axis point to Giza and to Nazca are straight lines. 7692 miles is 30.9% of the circumference of the great circle (7692/24,892 = .309) or 111.245° along the great circle (.309 x 360 = 111.245 ). The azimuth of the great circle segment from the axis point to Giza is 9° and the azimuth of the great circle segment from the axis point to Nazca is 120°, showing that the angle at the axis point is also 111°. The distance from the axis point to Giza and to Nazca is one quarter of the circumference of the earth, or 90°. Since the great circle segments from the axis point are perpendicular to the great circle itself, the angles at Giza and Nazca are also 90°.
A simple spherical trigonometry formula converts the 90° - 90° - 111° spherical triangle to an equivalent flat surface triangle. The angle opposite the baselength is divided by two (111.235°/2 = 55.6225°), and then divided by the angle adjacent to the baselength (55.6225°/90° = .618). The φ reciprocal is .618 (1/φ). Applying the inverted cosine function to .618 gives 51.83° for the flat surface equivalents of the 90° spherical angles at Nazca and Giza. These are the same as the angular dimensions of the great pyramid. Alternatively, the two great circle segments from the axis point to Nazca and from the axis point to Giza are each 25% of the circumference of the earth while the great circle segment from Nazca to Giza is 30.9% of the circumference of the earth. The two great circle segments from the axis point to Nazca and to Giza add up to 50% of the circumference of the earth and 50/30.9 = 1.618, also demonstrating that these three great circle segments form a triangle equivalent to the crossection of the great pyramid, with the same φ proportion:
This relationship may also be shown using the distance between the three points in miles. One quarter of the circumference of the earth (along the great circle alignment) is 6223 miles (24,892/4 = 6223). The two sides of the terrestrial triangle are 6223 miles long, for a combined length of 12,446 miles. The distance from Giza to Nazca is 7692 miles and 12,446/7692 = 1.618. The above calculation is based on a round earth assumption. Although the great circle segments from the axis point to the great circle are 90° or one quarter of the circumference of the great circles from the axis points, the circumference of the great circles that cross over the axis point are actually a bit shorter than the circumference of the main great circle because the axis point is closer to the pole than the primary great circle that crosses over Giza and Nazca. The mean distance from the axis point to the great circle is 6218 miles, five miles less than one quarter of the circumference of the primary great circle, just as the distance from the north and south poles to the equator is 6215 miles even though one quarter of the equatorial circumference of the earth is 6225 miles (24,901/4 = 6225).
Given side lengths of 6218 miles from the axis point to Giza and Nazca, the distance from Giza to Nazca would have to be 7686 miles for the φ ratio to be exact, based on an ellipsoidal earth model. The main group of lines and figures at Nazca that is included as a UNESCO world heritage site is approximately 25 miles E-W and 4 miles N-S. The distance of 7692 miles from Giza along the great circle and the distance of 7686 miles from Giza along the great circle both fall within the main part of the Nazca lines and figures that are designated by UNESCO for protection as a world heritage site, so in the case of Nazca the φ relationship is present with either a round earth assumption or an ellipsoidal model.

The Native American tribe of the Hopi’s have called this place home for over a millennium. Some archeologists believe the mythology and design of their structures are centered around the Orion constellation. There are specifically three Hopi mesa’s (1st, 2nd, 3rd) which together form the shape of Orion’s Belt. Collectively others form the entire shape of the entire Orion Constellation.

Recent research by Phillis Pitluga, a senior astronomer with Chicago’s Adler Planetarium, has demonstrated that the spider, like the Great Pyramids at Giza in Egypt was designed as a terrestrial image in the waist of the spider is of the constellation of Orion. Not only does this spider reflect the Orion Constellation, but its extended arm points to the star SIRIUS.
The straight lines that pass through the geoglyph have been said to point to various directions that the stars of Orion have risen over the local horizon for many, many centuries. 3. alignments.
The simple and straight-forward fact is that, not only are all the "pyramids" aligned to all the others on the continent around them, but they are also aligned to one another across the vast expanses of oceans as well. Most of the pyramid building cultures we have examined inhabited a thin latitude and established coastal or river-centric cultures in the 6 places civilization independently formed during the Bronze Age: in India, the Near East, Europe, China, Africa and the Americas during the so-called "Old World" or "Axial Age" from 2800 to 2200 years ago. These gave way to the Classical Period of Hellenism in Greece and Rome, the Persian Empire and Second Temple Judaism in the Middle-East, the Empire of India and China, under the Qin and Han Dynasties, in conflict with various tribal nomads such as the Huns, the Xiongnu and the Kok Turk Empire). During the Maudner Minimum of the sunspot cycle, Europe experienced a "mini-Ice Age" and its economic living conditions plummeted to form what has since been called the feudal "Dark Ages," however this was contemporary to the Islamic Golden Age of Caliphates prior to the Ottoman Empire, as well as a time of many new feudal city-state based "empires" across Asia, southeast Asia, MesoAmerica, the Andes Mountains (S. America) and Africa. Now we live in the "modern era" identified by the "western world" of Europe, the Americas, Eastern Orthodox Church countries (Greece, Russia, Southeast Europe, Ukraine, Belarus, etc.), Australia and Israel versus the "Islamic world" of the Arab Middle East, Turkey, South Africa and Somalia, the "Eastern World" or "Far East" comprised of South and East Asia (the "Sinosphere" of Chinese influence) and sub-Saharan Africa / South Africa still populated by indigenous tribes.
During these last 6,000 years or so, we have gone through no fewer than 3 "Solar Aeons" of around 2,000 years apiece. This means the entire sky-line has been changed, and concordantly all the religious iconography of our species associated to it has had to be changed along with it. 100 years ago, the magician and self-proclaimed "Ipsissimus" (head chief) of all then existent "secret societies," Aliester Crowley, working from a deciphering of an ancient Egyptian stele of the demi-deity Hoor-Pah-Kraat, whom he believed cognate to Greek Harpocrates, established the continuity thus far of three aeons: the first of the Mother, the second of God the Father, and the third of the "Crowned and Conquering Child" whom he identified with Isis, Osiris and with Horus-Ra respectively.
Prior to this beginning of our now known civilization, from before 6,000 years ago, to at least around 50,000 years ago, when we originated Africa and reached "behavioral modernity" as a species (having achieved anatomical modernity some 150,000 years prior to even then), there is a blank space in our historical records as a species. Supposedly, our genetic ancestors were the protohominid species "homo ergaster erectus," (from the early Plesistocene, between 1.8 million and 1.3 million years ago) oldest of the African hominid species, and "homo heidelbergensis" (from 600,000 to 400,000 years ago) are considered to be the "Adam" and "Eve" to both our species (Asian homo sapiens) and our European genetic cousin branch from 33,000 years ago, that subsequently went extinct around 24,000 years ago, "homo neanderthalensis." Interbreeding between modern humans and neanderthals took place from 80,000 to 50,000 years ago, and neanderthals contribute as much as 4% of our total DNA genome to the entire population of our species today.
Many ancient scholars postulated on the problem of human civilization seeming to have developed spontaneously (during the Bronze Age), independently (across 6 of the 7 total global continents, all except glaciated, south-polar Antarctica) and yet all had the same basic working knowledge of craft and tools to design and build with. They coined the phrase our modern civilization "arose suddenly, as if fully formed." Why, otherwise, would a species, dormant for 200,000 years, suddenly begin to spontaneously develop similar cultures at various independent geographic locations? And how can we account for the seemingly missing aeons between the date of our species origins, some 200,000 years ago, and when the first civilizations began in Jericho and Gobleki Tepe, some 8,000 - 10,000 years ago at the most? How did the various cultures of the "Axial Age" world know how to build pyramids, and why did they all align them (north-south-east-west) according to this "Giza Equator" of alignments that connected them all along a single line? And what does it mean that they all align, even Angkor Wat built much later, to the last position of the north geographic pole's location (from 80 to 48,000 years ago), and not to its present site?
3A. of the pyramids to constellations
Over the last 200 million years, the axial tilt of earth's geographic poles has travelled some 30°. This means the north pole and the south pole have occupied multiple locations. Between 810 and 790 million years ago, during the epoch of the super-continent called Rodinia, true "polar wander" events might have occurred twice, shifting the earth's magnetic poles by ~55°. The Cyrillic etymology of this super-continent's name means "the Motherland," and it formed from 1.1 billion years ago from the previous super-continent Columbia, formed from global-scale collision events 2.1 to 1.8 billion years ago, to 750 million years ago, when it broke apart during the Neopoterozoic and re-assembled to form Pangea some 300 to 250 million years ago, that once covered the entire land-mass of planet earth. The "true polar wander" the broke up "Rodinia" and formed "Pangea" should not be confused with geomagnetic polarity reversal events, that have happened 5 times over 1 million years, around 72 million years ago, 10 times over 4 million years, some 54 million years ago, 13 times over 3 million years, 24 million years ago, 51 times in a 12 million year period centering on 15 million years ago, and twice over the last 50,000 years. During a "geomagnetic pole reversal" there are multiple locations of various, equally strong "north" and "south" magnetic poles. Unlike solar plasma-magnetic polar reversal events, which occur as sunspot cycle peaks every 9-12 years, the geo-magnetic polar reversals known to have occurred on earth have happened during periods of low intensity for Earth's EM-field strength.
What does all this have to do with pyramid mapping? The ancients reckoned the size of the earth in cubits, a measure devised from measuring the length of an average person's fore-arm from the elbow to the tip of the middle-finger, as such being about 7 "palms" 4 "finger"-widths each and using "cubit rods" of about 52.5 centimeters. However even prior to this there was a method for measuring that was far more exact, called the "megalithic yard," which was given as about 0.83 meters, and a "megalithic rod" of about 2 and 1/2 "megalithic yards." Each "megalithic rod" could be divided by 100 and "megalithic yard" divided by 40, called a "megalithic inch" (of 2.073 centimeters). The Megalithic Yard, once called the "Greek Fathom" (of 2.072 meters) was equal to the diagonal of a rectangle measuring 2 by 1 Egyptian "remens" (of 5 "palms" or 20 "finger"-widths).
The size of the earth, calculated by these measures, will yield various different number sums. But the ratios for angles between these various different number sums will always stay the same, even when translating between the various number-based systems. For example, 1/2 of 180 is 90, of 90 is 45, etc. and 1/2 of 72 is 36, etc. while 3/5ths of 360 is 216,1/3rd of 216 is 72 and 1/3rd of 36 is 12, etc. Although the sums may differ the ratios themselves are the same between them. The mean radius of earth is 6,371 kilometers (it's exactly 6,378.1 km from the core to the current equator and exactly 6,356.8 km from core to pole), it's circumference is 40,075.017 km (equatorial), 40,007.86 km (meidional) with an axial tilt of 23°26'21.4119", orbiting the sun at an average velocity of 29.78 kilometers per second, or about 107,200 km / hour. In cubits, these measures differ, and in the "megalithic yard" or "Greek Fathom," they differ yet a third time. But the ratios remain the same, and therein lies the lesson.
3A1. Giza alignment is "upside down" (N/S) to Orion
It can be found that, along the latitudinal "Giza Equator," a great arc may be drawn from Angkor Wat to Teotihuacan with Giza at its center. The ratio of this great arc's completion around the rest of the globe between Teotihuacan in Mexico and Angkor Wat in Cambodia is this the same distance as between the Teotihuacan and Giza or between Giza and Angkor Wat. Along the "Giza Equator," these three monuments are about equidistant from one another, forming a "triangle" of ruins along a forgotten equator from when earth's geographic polar location was off-set from its present location from 17,000 to some 12,000 years ago or so. However, this is only the figurative "tip of the ice berg" in these matters, as the Temple of Angkor Wat is (alike Incan Machu Pichu in the Andes Mountains of Peru) aligned to the constellation the Pleiades (the 7 sister stars), while Teotihuacan and Giza are both aligned to the constellation of Orion's belt stars (the 3 kings). Their alignment is exact and precise both within their own confines, to their own cultures, as well as in alignment with one another across the aeonic spans of time, however, they are not aligned to the stars exactly as they appear in the heavens.
The "3 kings" of Orion's belt, the stars (from west to east) of Mintaka (Delta Orionis - a double star system), Alnilam (Episilon Orionis) and Alnitak (Zeta Orionis) do align to the Giza Necropolis' 3 Pharoahnic pyramids, however, in Egypt, the smallest of the three pyramids, the pyramid of Menkere, signifying the smallest, double-star system Mintaka, whose alignment is slightly off-set (by around 10°) is in the furthest west-most position, and Khufu's Pyramid (the largest) symbolizing the star Alnkitak, is facing east-most of all three. This makes the arrangement of the Giza pyramids "upside down and backwards" from if their appearance in the sky were to be plotted as descending directly down onto the surface of the earth. Instead, they are symmetrically mirror-reflected.
3A2. Yucatan alignment is north to south along the "avenue of the dead"
The second site of the two primary pyramid complexes known to be aligned to the "3 kings" stars of the constellation of Orion's belt, in Teotihuacan, is also, likewise, not oriented to an exactly accurate reflection nor direct imagining of this constellation's orientation upon the earth. As mentioned, it is inclined at an angle of about 15.5° from modern "true" geographic north-south / east-west orientation, in keeping with the theory it is aligned to a previous position of earth's geo-magnetic polar axis locations, prior to 12,000 years ago. However, the "Avenue of the Dead" itself is aligned along a north-south axis, rather than along an east-west axis, and so this places the alignment of these pyramids geographically perpendicular to the Giza Necropolis, which is oriented along an east-west angle. This fact, that Teotihuacan and Giza form a right-angle with one another's orientations, is often overlooked. Teotihuacan was, most likely, built about the same time that Jesus walked the earth in Galilee and Roman Judea, or about 2,500 years after the Giza pyramids of Egypt, Africa.

Jesus Christ's Son of Man

Introduction
One of the imperatives in Christian mythology is the belief that the world as we know it will end someday. God will overthrow the forces of evil and all who side with them, and only those who repent and follow Jesus’ teachings will be allowed to enter the new Kingdom of God. Jesus and Paul mention it often and the Book of Revelation is devoted to it.
Many passages attest that Jesus expected the end of the world to come in his time, not thousands of years later. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus refers to some mysterious Son of man, a cosmic judge sent from heaven who would destroy whoever opposes God and reward those who are faithful.
Who this Son of man? The popular claim has it that Jesus was referring to himself in the third person. It’s plausible because many passages fit the course of Jesus’ ministry. What is suspicious about this rationale is that Jesus appears to be describing someone else.
38For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of man also be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
1And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power." (Mark 8:38-9:1)
I submit that Christian reasoning is entirely wrong. When Christians read the predictions of the end of the world, they are waiting for events to unfold on earth. Even after 2,000 years of false alarms, they have not lost patience, and I don’t know if they will ever admit that maybe they are misreading the New Testament.
Such a calamity cannot happen as the Bible predicts. Something on that scale would take an event like a large meteor to hit earth. In such a case, a meteor would not care who is faithful to Jesus. If there was a nuclear war, bombs would be guided by human stupidity, not divine intelligence. If any other catastrophe happens on that scale, earth would not be a very pleasant place for the survivors. Whatever the cause of mass destruction, faith will not protect anybody. Even worse, if the entire world was destroyed, as devout Christians believe, there would be no survivors.
What confuses modern readers is the way the Bible’s writers coded their belief in the power of the stars as if they affected life on earth. The matter before us is to decipher their writings for what they meant to ancients, not to what modern believers want to believe.
For this reason, we will examine the Bible from an astronomical point of view. It was a time when ancients perceived the stars in heaven as patterns to be interpreted as God’s divine plan for life on earth. The sun was especially important to them because they understood that life on earth depended on it.
There are three clues which clarify what they were writing about. The first describes the Son of man as the constellation Orion. The second relates the yearly sun cycle to the end of the world. The third tracks Orion with the sun cycle. There can be no other conclusion except that the idea of a supernatural God was conceived as a ruse to mislead faithful Christians.
The Son of man
Three passages define the Son of man in physical form.
The first appears in the apocalyptic writings of the Book of Daniel, where Daniel describes the Son of man as riding on the clouds of heaven to the “Ancient of days” to give him everlasting dominion over the new kingdom of heaven.
13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Dan. 7:13-14)
Revelation’s description of the Son of man fits the pattern of stars in the constellation Orion. The star on his right shoulder is bright red (upper left star). The three stars at his waste were later seen as the three wise men who announced the birth of Jesus.
12Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,
13and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden girdle round his breast;
14his head and his hair were white as white wool, white as snow; his eyes were like a flame of fire,
15his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of many waters;
16in his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. (Rev. 1:12-20)
The Son of man has a cluster of stars in the background that look like the clouds upon which the Son of man rides. Astronomical maps show the Milky Way behind the constellation Orion. From earth, they look like clouds.
14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

Orion as seen in human form. His right hand could be holding a sickle or a club. His left hand could be holding an animal skin, a shield or a bow. The Milky Way is behind him. The arc above him represents the sun’s path. The line going through his waste is the celestial equator which runs parallel to earth’s equator.
Orion's legacy
After the Big Dipper, Orion is perhaps the next most celebrated constellation in the winter sky. Mythologies about Orion probably originated from the Egyptians thousands of years ago and extended to the Greeks at the turn of the first century. It is a very important constellation to astral religions and easy to recognize.
To the ancient Egyptians, Orion was Osiris the God of Light. Set was Orisis’ brother and the God of Darkness. According to legend, Orisis was murdered by his evil brother Set, who tore his body into pieces and scattered the fragments. Isis, Osiris’ wife, managed to put him back together except for his phallus, which had been swallowed by a fish. She made an artificial phallus and breathed into his body to restore his soul. Thereafter, he rose to the sky.
In one period, Orion represented the Egyptian god of the dead and the first king of Egypt. After death, the pharaoh was thought to mystically inseminate the stars to ensure that, through Osiris, Horus the sun god would be reborn as his successor.
In one Greek myth, Orion was the son of Neptune and the nymph Euryale. He was of gigantic size, strength and beauty. He was so tall that he could walk through deep water without wetting his head. His hubris invoked Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth to send a scorpion to kill him. His fall to earth can be seen when the stars of Orion sink defeated below the western horizon and the stars of Scorpion are just rising in the east.
The next night he rises again, saved by Ophiuchus, the Doctor of Antiquity who gave him an antidote for the scorpions poison. This can be seen when the Scorpion sets in the southwest with Ophiuchus standing over him as a symbol of the antidote. Later, when Ophiuchus sets in the west, Orion comes up from the east, fully recovered.
In these myths alone we see fragments of Christian mythology. Gods die and are restored to life. They are given a soul by being breathed into and they fall to earth as Adam did. The scorpion brings death as Judas did to Jesus. There is the eternal conflict between light and dark. (See Light verses Dark)
The timing of Orion’s cycle fits with the birth of Jesus on December 25. It makes its first appearance in the east in mid December each year. And as the season progresses, Orion rises with the sun and sets in the west three days before it rises in the east again.
With the sun personified as Jesus, it is accurate to think of Orion as a constellation in synch with the sun’s cycle. In a sense they are like conjoined twins who suffer the same fate. This is why the confusion about whether Jesus is referring to himself as the Son of Man in the third person or whether the Son of Man is some cosmic judge.
The sun cycle
In allegorical language, the sun goes through four seasonal cycles. It is born on December 25 when daylight hours start to increase. At about this same time Orion rises in the east with its three belt stars as the three wise men. As Orion rises, the star Sirius ascends above the horizon as the star of Bethlehem. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky.
The powers of darkness are still in power, but as the daylight hours increase, it is seen as overcoming the forces that try to stop it. In the Gospels, this is when Jesus is born and when his parents take him away to keep Herod from killing him.
At the spring equinox it has entered the gates of heaven when daylight hours start to emerge more powerful than the dark evil forces. Jesus’ mission starts in the spring when he collects his disciples and builds a following.
At the summer solstice, when the sun is the highest in the sky, the sun is on its throne. In the following summer months, as the sun descends, it is still strong, but it is weakening as the dark forces start to make war against it. To show his strength, Jesus performs miracles and exorcises demons. At this time Orion is at the height of its ascent.
When the sun passes through the fall equinox, it enters the gates to hell. Night time hours start to lengthen and the dark forces are said to be fighting their way back to power. The sun continues to weaken until it dies for three days following December 21. This is when Jesus is betrayed by Judas and is taken to trial and executed. Allegorically, this is the end of the world.
On December 25, the sun is resurrected and the cycle repeats.
This cycle is not unique to Christianity; it plays out through the mythologies of resurrected gods. It was the age of fable when the constellations were assigned the names of gods. There was Hercules who died on his twelfth labor like Jesus. There is Jason and the Argonauts with their ship Argo, reminiscent of Noah’s ark. The constellation Perseus holding the head of Medusa looks like David holding the head of Goliath. There are creation myths, supreme gods who mate with virgins, giants, serpents and a host of other characters like those in the Bible.
The Bible cannot be understood by those who are so blinded with faith that they keep their heads buried in the ground trying to make historical sense out of it. Look up to the sky. The keys to unlocking the secrets of the Bible can be found with a map of the constellations and a good book on star mythology. The Zodiac wheel shows how the sun’s yearly ascension and descension conforms to the Bible’s motifs.
biblical Omens
In Mark chapter 13, there is an allegorical summary of the astronomical omens that lead to the end of the world. They start when the sun is at full power at its highest position on the horizon to when it descends to its death at the lowest position.
1. When the sun is at the summer solstice in Gemini, Jesus predicted that some day the temple will be destroyed. His disciples wanted to know what sign they should look for to know when this event will happen. In biblespeak, “sign” denotes astrological signs.
1And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!"
2And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down."
3And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
4"Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign when these things are all to be accomplished?" (Mark 13:1-4)
2. After the sun passes the high point of the summer solstice it descends lower with each passing day. Allegorically, the sun is weakening because the dark forces of evil are said to waging war against it. The wars are just beginning.
The sun starts to descend in the house of Cancer. It is usually a time of hesitation, so Jesus warns what to expect and not to be alarmed.
7And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is not yet.
8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places, there will be famines; this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.
9"But take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils; and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them. (Mark 13:7-8)
3. The wars between light and dark intensify as the days get shorter. The sun is still strong, but the forces of evil are gaining power.
The house of Leo brings strength from the new harvest. So Jesus says to be strong against adversity and you will be saved.
11And when they bring you to trial and deliver you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say; but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
12And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death;
13and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
14"But when you see the desolating sacrilege set up where it ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; (Mark 13:11-14)
4. Virgo is the last house before the sun descends into hell—Virgo is described as a nursing mother. There is no turning back.
15let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything away;
16and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle.
17And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck [Virgo] in those days! (Mark 13:15-17)
5. The sun has passed the fall equinox into Scorpio. The days are getting progressively shorter than the nights. According to Jesus, if the days did not get shorter, no one could be saved, so God shortened the days. Pray that the sign doesn’t happen in winter because it is the worst of times. If the days are still getting shorter and someone says the Christ has come, do not believe them. It is not the right time.
18Pray that it may not happen in winter.
19For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.
20And if the Lord had not shortened the days, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.
21And then if any one says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
22False Christs and false prophets will arise and show signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
23But take heed; I have told you all things beforehand. (Mark 13:18-23)
6. The sun is in Sagittarius as the sun descends to its lowest point on the horizon. On the darkest days of the winter when the moon does not give light, the Son of man will come in clouds. The Son of man in clouds can be seen in the picture above. Below, the next frame shows the son of men descending on December 21.
24"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,
25and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
26And then they will see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27And then he will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. (Mark 13:24-27)
7. You will know he is near the gates to heaven (the spring equinox) when fig trees start to grow leaves.
28"From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.
29So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. (Mark 13:28-29)
8. This generation will see these things take place. —He means his generation.
30Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away before all these things take place.
31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:30-31)
In the first century on December 21 at midnight, when the sun is darkened and the moon does not give up its light, the Son of man can be seen descending to earth. A month later it disappears from view.

Orion ascends in the east three days after its disappearance in the west.
The Gospel Son of man
The Gospel’s language is deceptive. Its language allegorizes Jesus as the sun’s yearly trek around the zodiac constellations. Orion is not one of the twelve zodiac constellations, but its path shadows the sun cycle. It is high in the sky when the sun is high and low when the sun is low. So when Jesus mentions the Son of man, he is referring to his Spirit as symbolized by Orion. The reasons are explained in Jesus' Ghost
Orion plays another important role as the three men who come to visit Jesus. Orion has a narrow waist with three stars. At the beginning of the year, the three stars point down to the star of Bethlehem, otherwise known as Sirius. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky.
Matthew gives the most detailed account of the Son of Man. The passages below follow a sequence according the zodiacal time of the year Jesus is speaking. Armed with our knowledge of Orion and the sun cycle, we can see what Jesus is talking about.
Aries
That the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head, means that Orion is not one of the twelve constellations of the zodiac.
20And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head." (Matt. 8:20)
The Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins.
6But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he then said to the paralytic --"Rise, take up your bed and go home." (Matt. 9:6, Mk. 2:10)
Psalm 8 explains what Jesus meant about the Son of man having authority on earth. God made him a little less than God, but gave him dominion over his works. Gemini, by the way, hangs over Orion like a crown.
3When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
4what is man that thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that thou dost care for him?
5Yet thou hast made him little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honor.
6Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet,
7all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
8the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the sea. (Ps. 8:3-8)
Taurus
Israel had 12 towns beginning with “Beth”, meaning “house of”. Each symbolized a house of the Zodiac. Orion has to go through all twelve houses before the time comes.
23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel, before the Son of man comes. (Matt. 10:23)
When Orion was seen in full view near the sun, he is said to be a glutton and drunkard.
19the Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds." (Matt. 11:19)
As the sun passes through Gemini it crosses over Orion’s head. This is the time when the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.
Gemini
Orion’s position above the sun at the summer solstice, gave rise to his being called lord of the Sabbath.
8For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath." (Matt. 12:8, Mk. 2:28)
32And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (Matt. 12:32)
Cancer
In the last days of December, Orion disappears for three days. Similarly, there is darkness in the belly of the whale.
40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Matt. 12:40)
Leo
The sons of the kingdom are the six constellations of spring and summer. The sons of the evil one are the six constellations of autumn and winter. The close of the age comes when the sun is at the lowest point of its descent. When the sun begins its ascent, the evil weeds will be burned with the heat from the sun’s rays. When the sun is in the spring and summer months, the righteous will shine.
37He answered, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of man;
38the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one,
39and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels.
40Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age.
41The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,
42and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.
43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. (Matt. 13:37-43)
Virgo
Jesus denies that he is the Son of man. Peter calls him the Son of the living God which translates to Jesus as the sun of the living God.
13Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that the Son of man is?"
14And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." (Matt. 16:13-16)
Libra
Libra is the time when the sun descends below the equator into the evil dark months. It is a time for settling debts. On several occasions Jesus predicted his astrological demise.
Jesus reiterates about the Son of man will come in the lifetime of his followers. It means simply, that it is a once a year event.
27For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has done.
28Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." (Matt. 16:27-28)
“Coming down the mountain” means that the sun has descended past the fall equinox. Elijah will come as John the Baptist seen as the man pouring water in the constellation Aquarius. This will not happen until Orion rises from the east.
9And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Tell no one the vision, until the Son of man is raised from the dead."
10And the disciples asked him, "Then why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come?"
11He replied, "Elijah does come, and he is to restore all things;
12but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of man will suffer at their hands." (Matt. 17:9-12)
When the sun descends below the equator into the dark days, it is said to be delivered to the enemy. There is nothing new about constellations disappearing for three days; it happens every day. As earth rotates, the stars appear to be moving westerly until they dip below the horizon. Three days later they reappear in the eastern horizon.
22As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men,
23and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day." And they were greatly distressed. (Matt. 17:22-23)
Gemini looks like a crown above Orion’s head. So it is on its throne on June 21, when the sun is at its highest point on the horizon in Gemini. Orion is “judging” in whatever constellation it happens to be in. Historically, Israel’s twelve tribes weren’t formed by bloodline. The familiar Greek zodiac names had Hebrew counterparts. See Stars of Israel.
28Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of man shall sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Matt. 19:28)
Jesus foresees the astrological fate of his Spirit at the end of the year. His entry into Jerusalem represents the final phase in the sun’s descent.
18"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,
19and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day." (Matt. 20:18-19)
The sun serves humankind with its light. When the sun dies, Orion as the sun’s Spirit brings life to many.
28even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matt. 20:28)
Scorpio
Orion comes from the east and sets in the west. The Constellation Aquila the eagle is in the house of Scorpio. The sun’s descent into darkness is the time of tribulation. Orion will not appear until after there is full darkness. From then on the glory of the sun will rise again.
27For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
28Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
29"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall [descend] from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory;
31and he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matt. 24:27-31)
Noah’s ark can be seen in the constellation Argo Navis. Argo is so large that contemporary charts break it down into Carina, Puppis and Vela. Its rising follows Orion by about a month.
37As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
38For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
39and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man. (Matt. 24:37-39)
Jesus may not know precisely what day or hour Orion will rise, but he knows it will ascend in the darkest days of the year—this does not translate into years or centuries. Orion will rise before the sun ascends from its three days of darkness.
40Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left.
41Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left.
42Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
43But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
44Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matt. 24:40-44)
When Orion is rising and the angels or angles of Aries pass the spring equinox, the sun will have passed Capricorn. When the sun passes Aries, the sun will be in its glory as the progressive daylight hours of spring exceed the night. At the sun’s apex, Orion will be on its throne.
31"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels [angles] with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep [Aries] from the goats [Capricorn],
33and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left. (Matt. 25:31-33)
Sagittarius
In the house of Aries (the Passover lamb), Orion will ascend across the spring equinox, where it will be crucified at the point where the sun’s path crosses the equator. The Christian cross represents the length of days at each cardinal point.
2"You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of man will be delivered up to be crucified." (Matt. 26:2)
Orion follows the path designated in the stars. It is said to be betrayed when it descends past the autumn equinox.
24The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born." (Matt. 26:24)
Orion was already betrayed. The sun will be betrayed next. This is the only passage where Jesus and the Son of man can be obviously seen as two different entities.
45Then he came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand." (Matt. 26:45-46)
When facing north, Orion’s rising in the east can be seen as rising from the right. Orion appears in front of the Milky Way, which is seen as clouds.
63But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son [sun] of God."
64Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven. (Matt. 26:63-64)
In Psalms when the sun dies in Sagittarius, Orion cannot be seen.
3Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
4When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his plans perish. (Ps. 146:3-4)
Final thought
In biblespeak, the world ends when the sun dies. Three days later, the sun's Spirit represented by Orion brings The Three Wise Men and the Star of Bethlehem and the sun is born again. The Gospels tell a story of the sun’s travel through the Zodiac.
The phrase “new moon” has a similar legacy. Ancients believed that the moon died about every 28 days and was replaced by a new one.
