En diversos periodos de la historia ha sido tema de especulaciones místicas; probablemente los primeros fueron los Pitagóricos, que la consideraban una figura sagrada. La razón matemática de su anchura (medida por los puntos extremos del "cuerpo", sin incluir la "cola") por su altura fue aproximada por el cociente 265:153. Esta razón, que da 1,73203, se consideró un número sagrado llamado la medida del pez. Exactamente, la razón geométrica de estas dimensiones es la raíz cuadrada de 3, o 1,73205... (ya que si se traza la línea recta que une los centros de ambos círculos, junto con los dos puntos donde los círculos se intersecan, se obtienen dos triángulos equiláteros unidos por un lado). El cociente 265:153 es una aproximación a la raíz cuadrada de 3, y tiene la propiedad de que no se puede obtener ninguna aproximación mejor con números más pequeños. El número 153 aparece en el Evangelio de Juan (21:11) como el número de peces que Jesús hizo que se capturaran en la milagrosa captura de los peces, lo que algunos consideran como una referencia cifrada de las creencias pitagóricas.

INICIACIÓN A LOS NÚMEROS DE LA ARQUITECTURA O DE COMO DARLE FORMA A UN EDIFICIO
Los números pueden estar explicados matemáticamente en la “red” pero el problema que plantea el conocimiento de la arquitectura es: ¿cómo se le da forma con esos números a un edificio?. En arquitectura los números operan a partir de los polígonos estrellados formando concatenaciones, tal y como a continuación vamos a describir.
NÚMERO DE ORO - PENTÁGONO
El número de oro viene dado por la solución a la ecuación de segundo grado
x + x² = 1 x = 1+√5 /2 = 1,618033989
Propiedades 1/ 1,618 = 0,618 1,618... x 1,618... = 2,618...
Dado una circunferencia de radio 1 el lado del decágono inscrito en él es 0,618...
Dado un pentágono de lado 1, las diagonales de ese pentágono = 1,618...
La técnica con la que opera la arquitectura es la de las concatenaciones.
Una de ellas, la más usual, es la que presentamos en el dibujo. Si la circunferencia en color azul tiene R=1 el radio de la roja es R= 2,618, correspondiente a la que presentamos en “El vitruvio” de Leonardo da Vinci en la portada de este trabajo.
Se aplicará en la restitución de una tabla de F. Brunelleschi Nº 6.
 
NÚMERO DE PLATA - EL OCTÓGONO
Así como el número de oro está asociado a la √5 el número de plata está asociado a √2 y presenta una serie de propiedades similares a las del número de oro.

1/2,4142... = 0,4142... 2,4142... x 1,4142... = 3,4142...
Observa nuevamente la concatenación, esta vez con el octógono, de la circunferencia en color azul sobre la de color rojo.
Si el radio de la circunferencia azul es 1 la de color rojo es 2,4142....
Si el radio de la circunferencia azul es 0,4142... la de rojo es 1.

NÚMERO DE PLATINO - EL HEXÁGONO
De igual forma que el número de oro está relacionado con la √5 y el de plata con la √2, el de platino lo va a estar con la √3

Combinación, esta, muy utilizada por Andrea Palladio.
Observa la concatenación de la circunferencia azul sobre la de rojo, a través del hexágono, directamente a la circunferencia azul. Si el radio de la circunferencia color azul es 1 el de la circunferencia en color rojo es 2 y el lado del triángulo inscrito es 2 x 1,732...
Este polígono es el más prolífico en la historia de arquitectura como vamos a verlo en los ejercicios.

El codo real y el metro
La relación entre el codo real y el metro ha sido establecida por los estudios egiptológicos realizados hasta ahora, que se han basado en la medida de varas de madera con marcas en codos reales. El resultado obtenido es 1 codo real = 0,5236 m.
Al respecto, se produce un hecho desconcertante: 0,5236 equivale, a la vez, a Π/6 y a Φ2/5, ya que 3,1416 / 6 = 0,5236 y también 2,6180 / 5 = 0,5236.
Es decir, si dividimos el Número Π entre 6, nos da el mismo resultado que si dividimos el cuadrado del Número de Oro entre 5. Y en ambos casos obtenemos lo que mide un codo real ¡en metros!
Es más, si dibujamos una circunferencia de 1 metro de diámetro y inscribimos un hexágono en la misma, el arco de circunferencia que corresponde a un lado de ese hexágono es igual a 1 codo real (fig. 16).

El resultado es muy desconcertante porque nos obliga a preguntarnos: ¿el codo real podía obtenerse geométricamente a partir del metro?
¿El metro en la Gran Pirámide?
Una vez reconstruido el modelo de la Gran Pirámide, lo analizamos minuciosamente. Y uno de los resultados más excepcionales obtenidos fue la longitud de la arista. Esta longitud que era especialmente significativa porque elevaba el monumento hacia el cielo, medía exactamente ¡218,00 metros!
Es decir, parecía como si la Gran Pirámide hubiera sido diseñada, a la vez, en codos reales y en metros, ya que las dos principales longitudes que definían su forma se expresaban en números enteros: el lado de la base medía 440 codos reales y la arista, 218 metros.
¿Se podía tratar de una casualidad?
El análisis de las medidas de la Cámara del Rey, que se mantiene intacta en el interior del monumento, insistía triplemente en la presencia de medidas exactas en metros: La altura sobre el zócalo [1] es 43,00 m. La diagonal del muro mayor de la Cámara del Rey mide 12,00 m. Y el volumen de la Cámara es de 321,00 m3.
Por si no fuese suficiente, la suma de la base (440 cr) y la altura (280 cr) de la Gran Pirámide es igual a 720 cr, una medida que coincide exactamente con 377,00 m. Y además da la casualidad que el 377 es el número 14º de la Serie de Fibonacci.

Ante la insistencia de tantas medidas en metros, es obligado que nos preguntemos: ¿los sacerdotes-arquitectos de la Gran Pirámide conocían el metro y lo usaron como segunda unidad de medida al proyectar el monumento?
Para intentar responder a esta pregunta, veamos si las medidas en metros nos proponen juegos numéricos.
Sumemos las 9 longitudes obtenidas: las 4 aristas (4 x 218 = 872 m), más las 4 diagonales de los muros mayores de la Cámara del Rey (4 x 12 = 48 m), más su altura sobre el zócalo (43 m). Resultará 963 m. Y, curiosamente, esta cifra es el triple de 321, el número que expresa el volumen de la Cámara del Rey en m3.
¿Se trata de otra casualidad?
Al llegar a este punto, como había números que establecían juegos entre ellos o se repetían insistentemente en la Gran Pirámide, recordé que Pitágoras [2] estudió en Egipto, donde vivió entre 10 y 20 años, y donde fue ungido sacerdote, por lo que tuvo acceso a sus conocimientos. Por eso no es extraño que el llamado Teorema de Pitágoras se halle en la Gran Pirámide.
Pitágoras y los pitagóricos afirmaban que “todo es número“, por lo que consideraban a los números como divinidades o como entidades abstractas preexistentes e independientes de su unidad de medida.
Este hecho viene confirmado por nuestra cotidiana práctica mental. Si yo levanto la mano y te muestro fijamente la palma abierta con los 5 dedos extendidos, no te preguntaras si es que te estoy saludando, sino que inconscientemente pensarás en el número 5, con independencia de que te esté mostrando 5 dedos.
Lo importante, pues, es el número, no la unidad que expresa. Tanto da que te muestre 5 dedos o 5 lápices, tú pensarás en el número 5.
Basándonos en este concepto, encontraremos otro importante juego numérico, asociado a las medidas enteras que definen el monumento: el lado de la base de 440 cr y la arista de 218 m. La pirámide tiene 4 lados y 4 aristas. El número que se obtiene de la suma de los 4 lados es 4 x 440 = 1.760; y el que resulta de la suma de las 4 aristas es 4 x 218 = 872. Su diferencia es igual a 888.
Y el 888 es el número que contiene la clave de la Gran Pirámide de Keops.
La ley matemática del número 888
Una vez reconstruido el modelo original de la Gran Pirámide y a la vista de los resultados que se iban obteniendo, resultaba imprescindible estudiarlo con detalle. En un primer análisis era necesario obtener y estudiar sus magnitudes: el perímetro, la superficie y el volumen.
A partir de la concepción abstracta del número que nos llega desde los pitagóricos, me decidí a tomar las magnitudes de la Gran Pirámide simplemente como números, con independencia de la unidad de medida que designaban. Y ello dio como resultado una extraña ley asociada a un número singular: el 888.
En la adjunta Tabla de la Gran Pirámide (fig. 18) las magnitudes se hallan en codos reales y en metros. La investigación desarrollada me permitió concluir lo ya intuido: la relación entre el codo real y el metro que los sacerdotes-arquitectos de la Gran Pirámide usaron en el monumento fue 1 codo real = Φ2/5 metros, o lo que es lo mismo, 1 codo real = 2,61803399/5 metros = 0,52360680 metros.
Esta relación es, pues, la que se aplica entre ambas unidades de medida, tanto en el perímetro de la Gran Pirámide, como en su superficie o en su volumen. Por tanto y como es lógico, para transformar codos reales en metros se ha multiplicado la medida en codos reales por 0,52360680; para hacerlo de cr2 a m2, se ha multiplicado los cr2 dos veces por esa cifra, es decir, por su cuadrado; y para pasar de cr3 a m3 se ha multiplicado los cr3 tres veces por la cifra antedicha, es decir, por su cubo.

En la tabla adjunta (fig. 18) también se puede aplicar la teoría de conjuntos. Si pongo sobre la mesa una cesta con 3 plátanos, 5 naranjas y 8 manzanas, puedo decir que en la cesta tengo 16 frutas, porque estoy sumando elementos distintos de similar naturaleza.
Es por ello, que tanto si entendemos que las magnitudes son sólo números, como si aplicamos la teoría de conjuntos, podemos sumar codos reales o metros con independencia de que sean lineales, cuadrados o cúbicos. Y es por ello que también podemos sumar los números de las magnitudes obtenidas tal como se hallan en la última columna de la Tabla, donde se suman codos reales y metros.
Observemos las sumas resultantes de cada una de las tres columnas: 18.301.722, 2.671.509 y 20.973.231. Separemos las cifras de 4 en 4, es decir, tomémoslas en unidades de 10.000. En la primera columna resultarán 1.830 y 1.722; en la segunda, 267 y 1.509; y en la tercera, 2.097 y 3.231. Sumemos los números 2 a 2 y obtendremos, en todas ellas, múltiplos de 888, ya que se cumple 1.830 + 1.722 = 3.552 = 888 x 4, y también, 267 + 1.509 = 1.776 = 888 x 2, y finalmente, 2.097 + 3.231 = 5.328 = 888 x 6.
A pesar de haber consultado a cualificados matemáticos, aún ninguno de ellos se ha podido explicar esta ley tan sorprendente. No sabemos cómo los sacerdotes-arquitectos egipcios pudieron establecerla. Y tampoco cómo pudieron llegar a construir la Gran Pirámide a partir de ella.
En el supuesto de que hoy conociéramos la Ley del 888 y, a partir de ella, intentásemos construir una pirámide que tuviera un perímetro, una superficie y un volumen prefijados, sólo podríamos hacerlo mediante sucesivas aproximaciones a través del ordenador. Y quién sabe cuánto tiempo necesitaríamos para conseguirlo y si finalmente lo conseguiríamos.
Por tanto, la Ley del 888 presenta un doble enigma:
¿De dónde procedían los conocimientos matemáticos hallados en la Gran Pirámide?
Los sacerdotes-arquitectos de la Gran Pirámide… ¿Cómo consiguieron diseñar el monumento a partir de tener prefijados su perímetro, su superficie y su volumen por la Ley del 888?
Sin embargo, más allá de los enigmas que abre, la Tabla de la Gran Pirámide nos aporta una importante certeza.
La Ley del número 888 ofrece la prueba irrefutable de que la reconstrucción del modelo original de la Gran Pirámide es totalmente exacta.
Y esta afirmación se basa en que dicha Ley no se cumpliría si hubiera una desviación en el perímetro de la Gran Pirámide de un solo codo real sobre 8.388 cr, o de un solo codo real cuadrado en su superficie sobre 314.159 cr2, o de un solo codo real cúbico en su volumen sobre 17.979.175 cr3, lo que en este último caso representaría que si la exactitud de la reconstrucción fuera de un 99,999994% no sería suficiente para que la Ley del 888 se cumpliese.
Por tanto… ¡La Ley del 888 certifica la reconstrucción exacta del modelo de la Gran Pirámide en sus medidas originales!
Y la Ley del 888 también confirma que en la Gran Pirámide se usó una unidad de medida prácticamente igual a nuestro metro, que establecía la igualdad ya comentada entre 1 codo real y 0,523606797 metros.

Pyramids in Italy
The Pyramid of Cestius (in Italian, Piramide di Caio Cestio or Piramide Cestia) is an Egyptian-style pyramid in Rome, Italy near the Porta San Paolo and the Protestant Cemetery.
The pyramid is a funerary monument built about 12 BC as a tomb for Caius Cestius, a member of one of the four great religious corporations at Rome, the Septemviri epulonum. It is of brick-faced concrete covered with slabs of white marble, 27 meters high and about 22 meters square, standing on a travertine foundation. In the interior is the burial chamber, 5.95 metres long, 4.10 wide and 4.80 high. On the east and west sides, about halfway up, is the inscription recording the names and titles of Cestius, and below, on the east side only, another which relates the circumstances of the erection of the monument (CIL vi.1374).
The peculiar conceit of a pyramid in Rome must be laid to the fact that Rome had conquered Egypt a few years before, in 30 BC, and the ancient culture of the new province became fashionable for a while; at any rate the tomb is unique among ancient Roman monuments, and not until modern funerary architecture did Rome see another pyramid within its walls.
A comparison of their shape reveals that the structural strength of concrete made it possible to build the Roman pyramid at a much sharper angle than those of Egypt.
In the 3rd century the pyramid was included inside the Aurelian Walls, and the Middle Ages, including the author Petrarch, seems to have thought of it, erroneously, as the tomb of either Romulus or Remus, in spite of the inscription.
At that time, it was considered one of the most important monuments of antiquity. It had been conserved 'nearly intact', but was neverhteless overgrown with plants. The inscription 'Caius Cestius' was barely visible. Pier Paolo Vergerio mentioned around 1400 that it was difficult to read because of the vegetation.
In 1660, excavations were undertaken: two statue bases were found outside it dedicated to Cestius, and an opening was dug into the pyramid itself, when it was discovered that the burial chamber was once decorated with frescoes, only the scantest traces of which now remain.
The Falicon pyramid near Nice in France is suspected by some to have been constructed by Roman legionaries from an Egyptian cult.

Three Pyramids Discovered In Montevecchia, Italy
Discovered May 2, 2003, from the air over northern Italy, 40 km from Milan, were three pyramids, with the same alignment as Giza and Orion. They are the first pyramids ever discovered in Italy and the dimensions are quite impressive. The highest pyramid is [500 feet] tall. They are stone buildings, as recent excavations have proved. However, they are now completely covered by ground and vegetation, so that they look like mounds.

The inclination degree of all the three pyramids is 42/43¡ and there is a perfect alignment with the Orion constellation. Nothing was found nearby which may help to date the structures and in the area there was not any civilization able to build similar structures at the time. The people who lived there were mainly gatherers and hunters.

located about 40 km northeast of Milan and about 15 km south of Lecco in Lombardy/Italy there is a small village with 3 pyramid shaped hills. These hills in Montevecchia were discovered in 2003 by the Italian architect Vincenzo DeGregorio.

If it is true, what Vincenzo DeGregorio could see with his balloon camera, these hills, the highest 150 m, would be gigantic pyramids. Even higher than the Giza pyramids in Egypt (once 146 m). The Czech magazine WM 2003 has published a report about their research in May 2003.

In early 2003, the pyramids of Montevecchia (“Old Mountain"), ca. 30 miles from the Italian city of Milan, were discovered through the use of satellite and aerial imagery. These pyramids are now completely covered by ground and vegetation and appear to be natural hills, but the possibility of something more was enough for the Czech WM magazine and their editor in chief Georg Wojnar to visit the area. They arrived on May 8, 2003, in an effort to locate and survey the site. The team soon learned that discovering their location from the ground proved more difficult than imagined, with the team becoming impressed with the driving abilities required to negotiate the roads that lead towards the hills. After two days of failed attempts, they finally succeeded in locating the pyramids and carrying out an initial survey.
The team’s conclusion appeared in the June 2003 issue of WM. They had come to the conclusion that the first pyramid was estimated to have a base of 100 metres, with a height of 50 metres. In total, three potential pyramids were surveyed, with one pyramid showing clear signs of stones worked into the structure, close to the surface. A platform with an oblong superstructure with a size of 18 by 9 metres was also discovered. All three structures had an inclination of 42/43 degrees. The sides of all pyramids were aligned and were offset from the cardinal points by approximately 7 to 12 degrees northeast. The team wondered whether this was an error in design or a sign of something more intriguing. From the initial aerial surveys, there was speculation that their layout compared to the pyramids of the Gizeh plateau – and thus to the Belt of Orion. The Czech team stated that their on-site research had showed that the pyramids actually aligned with the passing of Orion at the sunrise of the summer solstice. The Czech team felt that the site should be known as “the Italian Gizeh".
Gabriela Lukacs and fellow researcher Nenad Djurdjevic from Bergamo made a research trip to Montevecchia in October 2007.
We presented our investigations on ICBP-conference in Sarajevo Aug.2008
The 3 pyramidal hills are best seen from the little town of Montevecchia. The old town itself is located on a hill with the Carmelite monastery situated on the tallest hill top. And this was a big surprise to us: this area is a huge basin with 7 to 9 pyramidal hills surrounding it. The 3 hills detected and determined as pyramids by V.DeGregorio can easily be seen and are not the only ones in the area!
Our research brought up 13 surprises and a new approach to the "Montevecchia" hills:
- 7-9 pyramid shaped and terraced hills can be seen in the area of Montevecchia.
- Not only are their pyramidal shapes clearly visible, but also the steps, edges and flattened tops.
- 2 hills are parallel and their sides are aligned with a slight offset of 7-12° to the cardinal directions. 1 hill slightly different in position and alignment.
- The stepped ascent paths to the tops follow the edges on the SE+SW sides.
- All 3 hills are connected with each other by a path N-S, respectively S-N.
- P1+P2 have grass covered stepped terraces, P3 is completely hidden under wood and shrubs.
- P1 has a flat top with now 11 cypress trees + 1 altar stone (in place of 1 cut tree).
- P2 has an elliptical plateau 9x18m built from huge stone blocks, shaped and cut to fit in place. Both centres of the ellipse can still be seen on the plateau.
- From all 3 hill tops the eastern sunrise can be observed behind the alpine mountains, making them an excellent observation platform. There is a fallen menhir on P2 platform.
- All terraces are built from dry stone walls, height approx.50 cm. The dry stone walls are made of rectangular shaped stones with flat sides and right angles, no field stones.
- The wine-terraces on the smaller slopes in the valley follow the topography, the steps on the pyramidal hills are completely straight with balanced level.
- Hill inclination of 42-43° and possible height of manmade structure 50m, maybe even 150m.
- Gorgeous view round Curone valley. On a clear day you can see Milan.

El misterioso Sello de Salomón
 Sello de Salomón en el Códice Leningrado | Crédito: Wikipedia.Es inevitable. La visión de una estrella de seis puntas —o hexagrama— nos hace pensar en la religión y el pueblo judío. Sin embargo, este símbolo es un emblema universal que posee unos orígenes remotos y ha sido utilizado con fines diversos por numerosas culturas: de talismán protector hasta símbolo alquímico o mero elemento decorativo.
Durante siglos, antes de que se popularizara la denominación de "Estrella de David" o 'Magen David' (literalmente, "Escudo de David"), este emblema era llamado "Sello de Salomón" ('Khatam Suleiman' por los musulmanes y 'Jatam Sholomo' por los judíos).
Distintos textos —en especial el Talmud de Babilonia y algunos relatos musulmanes— difundieron la leyenda de que el bíblico rey Salomón poseía un anillo de propiedades mágicas mediante el cual podía controlar a los demonios o hablar con los animales. Dicha joya tenía grabado el símbolo del hexagrama, al que se le añadía el nombre secreto de Dios.

Sin embargo, el uso más conocido fue siempre el de su carácter protector y mágico, sin que estuviera vinculado a ninguna religión en concreto. Así, en la Edad Media era habitual encontrar amuletos y talismanes que reproducían el Sello de Salomón, generalmente con la estrella inscrita en un círculo y acompañada de varios puntos.
En aquella época se pensaba que estos dibujos protegían a su portador del influjo de demonios y espíritus maléficos, o simplemente de la mala suerte. También era frecuente grabar este símbolo en las puertas de las viviendas o en los escalones de las escaleras, con ese mismo carácter protector frente a los espíritus o ante posibles incendios.
El experto en cábala Gershom Scholem estudió a fondo la simbología del Sello de Salomón y su función mágico-protectora tanto en el islam como en el judaísmo, y dedicó muchos años a rastrear sus orígenes.

Sin embargo, no fue hasta finales del siglo XIX, con los movimientos nacionalistas judíos, cuando adquirió el sentido que todos conocemos hoy. Sin embargo, sí hay algunas representaciones con carácter judío —muy escasas— de esta estrella en épocas más antiguas, como el llamado 'Códice de Leningrado'.
El uso mágico de este símbolo no termina aquí. También fue muy utilizado en la iconografía alquímica, de modo que se encuentra en numerosos trabajos sobre la "Gran Obra" como emblema del fuego y el agua.
Del mismo modo, la masonería también incluyó el hexagrama entre sus símbolos, por lo que no es extraño encontrarlo en algunos elementos decorativos de las logias, así como en objetos y obras de arte de carácter masónico. No en vano, el templo de Salomón es uno de los elementos más importantes dentro de la masonería.
Por otra parte, también es frecuente encontrar el Sello de Salomón en algunas construcciones cristianas medievales, bien como elemento decorativo o como símbolo de la sabiduría divina.
Un ejemplo magnífico lo podemos contemplar en la fachada de la catedral de Burgos, en la que se ven varias representaciones del símbolo, tanto en el rosetón principal como en distintos relieves escultóricos. Lo mismo sucede también en una de las fachadas de la catedral de Valencia.

The Masonic Compass “G” and the Star of David. by Apollo Illuminaughty

Please notice that this is a running commentary from a forum and this person is a Freemason and this is my attempt to reveal the TRUTH…because Freemasonry twists the TRUTH of GOD into something that fits their agenda. The familiar symbol of Freemasonry is the letter “G:” in the interlocked compass and square that is put upon the altar of the Temple in the first three degrees.
The compass and square used by architect workers and builders. Freemasons learn to “square their actions” and learn to “circumscribe and keep us within due bounds toward all mankind”:
The Compass and Square, usually called Sun compass and Moon square are easy to understand, but how about the letter G? Its been assumed to mean both God and Geometry. It also closely resembles the spiral symbol of the Mayan Sky god and healer, Hunab Ku.
**EDITOR: The composition and elements of this composite symbol reflect the esoteric ideas of Cosmogony that were the same in the Old and New Worlds. Please recognize the symbology of the phrase “Old & New Worlds”. Also it could reflect a 8-pointed Cross and the Old World Swastika. These symbols and concepts were masked and simplified, and almost always it was forbidden to discuss their meanings. The correlation between the Secret Doctrine’s Root Races history and Maya concepts relative to the cyclic nature of evolution allows one to presume that the Mesoamerican “Suns” stand for the Root Race, but in fractal manner, can present the Long Count as the actual cycle that was not revealed in the Secret Doctrine (the Doctrine does not reveal all the cycles intentionally, but at the end of the XIX century Helena Blavatsky warned that the XX century would bring very important events for humanity and could even place mankind on the brink of existence). If so, the “new world” should start.
This ancient knowledge at present is associated, first of all, with the Mayan teachings, although it is reflected in Aztec and other Mesoamerican cultures and closely corresponds with the ideas of the Secret Doctrine.
This symbol of the spiral image is actually called a “Galactic Butterfly” and it represents a higher consciousness or Galactic Center. The mystical symbol shows that the Egyptians believed in reincarnation and existences of the Immortal entity. Being, however, an esoteric doctrine, revealed only during the mysteries by the priest-hierophants…it was kept secret.
Once again, the two interlaced spirals show duality of the Galactic Energy. Moreover, each spiral reflects the Maya symbol “G” that is associated with the Milky Way. Even at this point we see that the Galactic Butterfly clearly describes the transfer of the Galactic Core energies in Space in cyclic spiral of Time. These crosses, spirals, and other elements denote the fundamental esoteric analogies. In particular, the combination of “G” symbol (Serpent), Milky Way (Water Depth), and Spirals (Whirling Motion) mimics the Ancient Mystery of Narayana (the mover on the Waters of Space) and Fohat that sets in {a spiral} motion the primordial World-germs.**

As Gnosticism means “possessing intellectual knowledge or spirit of things”
Aliens interact with humans and pass on knowledge and spiritual teachings, but use selective beings, that being labelled a gnosis.
A human can never be an illuminati (they are aliens).

Sirius represents the Dog god of Egypt, Anubis. Sirius is the most evil star in ancient Egypt. The dog star, SIRIUS, also has become known as the EASTERN STAR.
The Crescent and the Seven Stars icon with the “Talisman of Orpheus” is not an uncommon symbol. The Angel and the Mason are both pointing in the direction of this curious motif (circled), which is found close to Aries on this occasion. Back in 2012 I wrote a post on Burning Man, a post-modern pilgrimage where 50,000 people converge on Black Rock City in the Nevada desert every summer. This cathartic festival culminates in the ritual burning of a giant man in effigy.
Julius Caesar wrote in his Commentary on the Gallic War that the Gauls sacrificed men by burning them inside wicker effigies but it appears that this might have been disinformation designed to demonize the druids.

Black Rock City is the name of the temporary encampment recreated every year in the Nevada desert. Designed by a now-deceased architect, Black Rock City occupies 66.6% of a circle inscribed within a pentagon. Kevin McMahon realized that the azimuth from the center to one of the points is 333.3° true north. I bring this up now because the axis of Black Rock City points to Santiago de Compostela, a traditional pilgrimage site in northwestern Spain.
Legend holds that St. James’s remains were carried by boat from Jerusalem to Galicia Spain where he was buried in what is now the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The Way of St. James, or the Camino as is is known in Spanish, was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during medieval times, together with pilgrimages to Rome and Jerusalem.
Counter to what you might expect, the number of pilgrims is growing today. Over 200,000 people made the walk last year. Shirley Maclaine chronicled her transformative physical and spiritual journey in her book The Camino.
People going on the Camino come from all over the world but I wondered if there is a symbolic start point for this pilgrimage?
The axis of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain points directly to the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Assisi, Italy. I wrote about St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226), founder of his namesake Franciscan order, in Secrets of San Francisco.
Francis was a wealthy young man when he had an ecstatic vision of nature mysticism.

After going on a pilgrimage to Rome, Francis gave up his riches and possessions and begged with the beggars outside the doors of St. Peter’s. While homeless he had another vision where Jesus said to him three times, “Go and repair my house that is falling into ruin.” He returned to Assisi and circa 1211 rebuilt the tiny Porziuncola, a stone chapel that he lived outside of in a primitive hut. Francis later founded the Order of Poor Clares for women and became known as the patron saint of animals and the environment.

Francis died in his hut, not fifteen yards from the chapel, at sunset on Saturday, 3 October 1226. Shortly after 1290 the tiny stone chapel became entirely inadequate to accommodate the throngs of pilgrims visiting the site. The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels was built around the Porziuncola to protect it and control the flow of pilgrims.
I took a pilgrimage there with my family (see Trip to Italy and France) and my wife was affected by its palpable sense of sacredness.

The prayer of Saint Francis, whether or not it was really written by him, affects me emotionally. It is a work of goodness and humility and thus resonates with St. Francis.

Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

Francis of Assisi himself completed the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The distance from the rond-point of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela to the Round Fountain in the Tuileries Gardens of Paris is 666.66 miles. Urban Asplund discovered this geo-metric gem.
Note the orbs in the photo inside the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, possibly attesting to the sacredness of that space.
Asplund notes that the distance from the same Round Fountain in the Tuileries to Bugarach Peak overlooking Rennes le Chateau is 666.66 km. Furthermore it is due south. Bugarach Peak is located at 42°51’52.30″N, 2°22’45.21″E.
Bugarach Peak has been a New Age pilgrimage site since the 1960s.
For decades, there has been a belief that Pic de Bugarach, which, at 1,230 metres, is the highest in the Corbières mountain range, possesses an eerie power. Often called the “upside-down mountain” – geologists think that it exploded after its formation and the top landed the wrong way up – it is thought to have inspired Jules Verne’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Since the 1960s, it has attracted New Agers, who insist that it emits special magnetic waves.
Further, rumours persist that the country’s late president François Mitterrand was transported by helicopter onto the peak, while the Nazis, and later, Israel’s Mossad, performed mysterious digs there. Now the nearby village is awash with New Agers, who have boosted the local economy, though their naked group climbs up to the peak have raised concerns as well as eyebrows. -Source
The distance from Cleopatra’s Needle in New York City to Bugarach Peak is 3303.33 Nautical Miles.
Twenty kilometers east of Paris is a commune in the historic province of Brie called Champs-sur-Marne. In 2005, a new rond-point was built in the Pyramid district (so-called because of a housing complex of the same name built in the 70s) featuring a scale model of the three pyramids of Giza, complete with Sphinx. The Nile is represented by purple flowers. The distance from the center of this rond-point to the purple peak of Bugarach is 666066 meters. Wikipedia lists the population density of Champs-sur-Marne as 3333 persons per square kilometer. I can’t believe it, but there it is!
The distance from the Round Fountain to the Luxor Obelisk in La Place de la Concorde is 666 meters.
The distance from the Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile to the Louvre Pyramid is 3333 meters.
The Round Fountain in the Tuileries correlates with Solomon’s Temple. That’s interesting because Solomon is all about 666’s. Consider this bible quote:
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold [666]. -1 Kings 10:14
This makes me wonder which man was referred to in Revelation. Might the beast actually be none other than wise Solomon?
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [666]. -Revelation 13:18
The Seal of Solomon is the same as his father David’s famous Star, which is on the flag of Israel today. The Star of David has a resonance with 666.
In SIPS Volume 2, I connected Solomon with Sol Amon, names for the Sun and ancient Egyptian Sun God…
…and observed that the grand total of the magic square of the Sun is 666.
Solomon’s Temple (today’s Dome of the Rock/Western Wall/Farthest Mosque) is 666.6 nautical miles from the Kaaba in Mecca. What is it about sacred sites that draws pilgrims? They attract non-physical spirits and spirits-having-a-human-experience with a kind of magnetic action-at-a-distance.

Today my wife asked me what I was up to and I said I’m writing a blog post on Pilgrimage. She said, “Have you checked out Lourdes?” No I hadn’t. Following her suggestion and this synchronicity, here is what to my utter amazement appears:
In SIPS Volume 1, I analyzed the Louvre Pyramid and showed how it is composed of 666 rhombi. Its height is also 21.6 meters. 6 x 6 x 6 = 216. The Louvre is the world’s most visited museum and the Louvre pyramid is its entrance. I too entered there on my pilgrimage to Paris last year.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is built over a grotto where beginning on 11 February 1858, a 14-year-old peasant girl named Bernadette Soubirous claimed to have experienced a series of apparitions of a girl dressed in white and with a blue belt around her waist, who eventually introduced herself as the Immaculate Conception, a name by which the Virgin Mary was known. Among the instructions from ‘the Virgin’ were “Go and drink from the spring”, “Go and tell the priests to build a chapel here”, and “Have the people come here in procession”. These 3 instructions in particular were to prove pivotal in the development of Lourdes as a pilgrimage site.

Sick pilgrims are reputed to be miraculously healed by Lourdes water. Each year about 350,000 pilgrims bathe in Lourdes water. Kind of makes me wonder about the qualities of the water from the Round Fountain up in Pharia-Isis.
Fittingly, pop star Madonna named her daughter Lourdes.
The Louvre Pyramid is a stone’s throw from the Round Fountain in the Tuileries. Speaking of stones, I put this diagram together two nights ago. The diameters of the planets are given in miles and the diagram is drawn to scale.
Philosopher’s Stones
It builds on the work of renaissance alchemist Michael de’ Maier (1566 – 1622), and contemporary alchemists Bert Janssen, Randall Carlson, and Gary Osborn.
All the rocky planets in our solar system loosely fit the diagram. You are looking at Earth, Venus, Mars, Mercury and the Moon, coordinated by sacred geometry. I submit that the rocky planets are literally the philosopher’s stones. Note that the angle of the triangle is 66° and that Mercury’s diameter is 3033 miles.
The angle between Earth’s North pole and the ecliptic is 66.6°. The ecliptic is the plane in which we travel around the Sun. Spaceship Earth’s average orbital velocity is 66600 miles/hour.

Asplund noticed that if you draw a line from Santiago de Compostela through Bugarach Peak it goes directly to the City of Rome. More precisely, it is 33003300 inches from Bugarach peak to center of the Spanish steps, just below the obelisk at Trinita dei Monti. I was there last year on my Roman pilgrimage and made this photo-painting which shows the view from that exact point. I especially liked the sundials. Funny how the Spanish steps connect us back to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

If you add up the Roman numerals DCLXVI (500+100+50+10+5+1), they sum to 666. However, Rome is certainly the inversion of everything that St. Francis of Assisi stood for.
Amor backwards is Roma.
Consider the Roma style of Burning Man, for example. The ‘Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition’ burned the brilliant Giordano Bruno at a stake in Campo de’Fiore in 1600 for nothing more than holding opinions contrary to the Catholic faith, believing in reincarnation, and the existence of a plurality of worlds.

I’ve pointed out before that the distance from the Campidoglio in Rome (considered the Roman kilometer zero) is 1111.11 km from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Both are centers of 12 pointed stars, or zodiacs.
Here is the Great Pyramid of Pilgrimage. Its template appears to be a pair of 3-4-5 triangles put together, more or less.

Asplund also noticed that the distance from Stonehenge to the Louvre Pyramid is 1293100 feet at a bearing angle of 129.31° (the same numbers). Also, Stonehenge is 3456000 feet from the rond-point of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. 3456 is a term in the Cosmic Sequence.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Stonehenge is also part of the matrix. It too was as much a pilgrimage site in ancient times as it is today. I find Bruce Bedlam’s theory that Stonehenge was a building has a lot of merit:

New Jerusalems
Before I discuss New Jerusalems, let us step back and first examine Jerusalem itself. Solomon’s Temple was located somewhere on Jerusalem’s temple mount. However, there is debate as to the exact location of the “holy of holies” where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. Was the holy of holies located on the Foundation Stone inside the Dome of the Rock or was it located elsewhere on the temple mount?
In 1977 Dr. Asher Kaufman published a paper, ‘New Light upon Zion: the Plan and Precise Location of the Second Temple’ that located the most sacred place in Judaism about 100 yards north of the Dome of the Rock under a small dome formerly known as the Dome of the Tablets that I covered in SIPS Volume 1.

The late John Michell discovered what he termed The Messianic Axis in Jerusalem that corroborated the Kaufman theory.
The ark of the covenant held the 10 commandments, which actually sound a lot like spell 125 from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, but that’s another story.
Here is what the Messianic Axis looks like along with Michell’s 5×12 sacred geometric overlay. Richard Heath shows in his book Sacred Number and the Origins of Civilization that the X’s mark the holiest places in Christianity and Judaism. I have shown how the 6:5 proportions of these X’s have a double-layered encoding in the metrology of Cubits. Curious how all these stories occurred along a line.
Michell’s sacred geometry of Jerusalem
Jan Thulstrup noticed that the dome of St Peter’s Basilica has an inner radius of 20.736 meters. The cubit that measures Jerusalem is 20.736 inches in length. This coincidence is entirely fitting for the holiest places in Christendom. Rome is a New Jerusalem.

The name Peter means rock. Speaking of domes and rocks, the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is 3333.3 km from La Place de la Nation in Paris.
The Tuileries Gardens in Paris shares Jerusalem’s 5×12 proportions. The Historical Axis of Paris exhibits the same pattern as the Messianic Axis of Jerusalem. The Sun King not only had but also built a messianic complex. Paris is a New Jerusalem.
Putting these patterns together, here is what emerges:
The Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées is 3652422 yards from the center of Jerusalem. The tropical year is 365.2422 days. The Rond-Point has 6 fountains arranged in a Star of David pattern. The heading from Jerusalem to Paris is 314° true north, recalling π. None of this is an accident but if it were, how amazing! What are the chances?
New Jerusalems are not an original idea. The Book of Revelation introduces the heavenly, or as we might see it now, a higher-dimensional template of New Jerusalem:
And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. -Rev 21:2
Also later in Chapter 21 New Jerusalem’s cube-it dimensions are given:
And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. -Verse 16
12 thousand cubed is 1728 billion cubic furlongs. Michell calculated that the 5×12 rectangle in Jerusalem’s long side measures 1728 cubits. The cubits measure 6/5 feet cubed, or 1.728 feet. Therefore the heavenly new Jerusalem of the Bible is dimensioned using the template from the real Jerusalem or maybe it is the other way around.
I showed in SIPS Volume 1 how DC is a New Jerusalem.
New York’s Central Park is proportioned by double 5×12 rectangles which just so happen to also correspond to the proportions of the dollar bill with 98% accuracy.
Urban Asplund measured the distance from the Round Fountain in the Tuileries, which corresponds to the holy of holies inside Solomon’s Temple, and discovered that it is exactly 6666.6 km to the center of Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park, Chicago.
Look at how both complexes are fronted by water, with the sinuous Seine running through Paris and the Chicago River and Lake Michigan in Chicago. Both complexes feature fountains with sprays of water.
In Revelation Chapter 22, John of Patmos’ described New Jerusalem as having a “pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God.”

Could this water of life proceeding out of his seat refer to the spinal Kundalini energy discussed in Serpent Wisdom?
Grant Park has the same 5×12 proportions. Amazingly, Buckingham Fountain is the official eastern terminus of US Historic Route 66.
The western terminus of Route 66 is the end of the Santa Monica Pier, which I discussed in SIPS Volume 2 (watch to learn how it connects to Baalbek, Century City and Hollywood). The distance from the end of the pier, the official “end of the trail” of Route 66 to the Dome of the Tablets in Jerusalem is 6600 nautical miles.
Route 66 snakes its way from Chicago to LA, over 2000 miles, all the way. Highways are like rivers. I see Route 66 symbolizing the water of life flowing to the Pacific ocean.
With all the repeating 6’s in the measures of these New Jerusalems I should point out a few more. The distance from the Round Fountain in the Tuileries Gardens to the obelisk in La Place de la Concorde is 666 meters. It’s like the template in microcosm.
The Kaaba in Mecca is 666.6 nautical miles from the Western Wall of the Temple Mount. These are the official two most sacred spots in Islam and Judaism, respectively. Clearly these encoded distances transcend any one particular religious tradition. Perhaps there is something or someone deeper, patterning the world.

Kevin McMahon posted this graphic on Facebook today. He also discovered that it is 777.7 miles from Grant Park Buckingham Fountain to the entrance of the IPG at a heading of 314° true north.
If you saw SIPS Volume 1, you might recall that Stonehenge has its station stones which describe a 5×12 rectangle.

Stonehenge is also 33.33° from Solomon’s Temple.
Perhaps Stonehenge was the template for Jerusalem? Food for thought.
Asplund made the following connections. I call it the “Esoteric Metro”. All four sites are in an alignment and thus in a sense, they all resonate as New Jerusalems.
Some massive integration is going on lately. Here are two more stations in the esoteric metro. The two paths from Ellora and Carnac converging on the Freemason Emblem Building at the International Peace Garden meet at a 45° angle. The IPG is located at 100°3’33.33″W.
Did you know the highest concentration of lightning on Earth (20,000 strikes per night) occurs in a specific location? This happens over a spot called Aguas Muertas where the Catatumbo River empties into Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela.
So bright and reliable is the lightning that this location has been called the Maracaibo Lighthouse for hundreds of years.
The phenomenon is characterized by almost continuous lightning, mostly within the clouds, which is produced in a large vertical development of clouds that form electric arcs between 2 and 10 km in height (or more).
Wouldn’t it be amazing if people could harness that raw power? It might light up the planet in terms of providing for our electrical needs.
An average bolt of negative lightning carries an electric current of 30,000 amperes, and transfers 15 coulombs of electric charge and 500 megajoules of energy. Large bolts of lightning can carry up to 120,000 amperes and 350 coulombs of charge. -Source
Doing the math, I calculate that a single large bolt apparently provides the energy of 11,666,666,666 joules. 
The Lighthouse of Maracaibo is 6666 miles from Heliopolis, which is in turn 3333 miles from the highest point on Earth. That is some serious Earthupuncture! It reminds me of moxybustion. The City of the Sun sure seems to be sited well for accumulating earth energy. It was built long before Jerusalem existed. In fact all that remains of Heliopolis above ground is this one granite needle.
The sacred geometry of Jerusalem (1728 cubits of 1.728 feet each) is encoded in our very units of measure, a secret in plain sight. One cubic foot = 1728 cubic inches.
The Earth’s diameter is 7920 miles. 7920 inches = 1 furlong. 17280 furlongs = 2160 miles. The Moon’s diameter is 2160 miles. We are living in the ‘heavenly’ New Jerusalem…

Sixes are structural.

Euclid recognized that the hexagon shape makes most efficient use of material in space.
The Pantheon dome is an Roman architectural wonder made possible by its interior honeycomb structural ribbing.
Modern man-made honeycomb materials are widely used in the aerospace industry because they offer high strength-to-weight ratios. Speaking of aerospace, the Cassini spacecraft photographed the north pole of Saturn in 2013 and humanity got a glimpse of an enormous persistent hexagonal pattern in this gas giant.

I have had a series of epiphanies recently regarding the structure of the Earth. It all started with my post Deep Challenges when I found patterns of sixes in the measures of the highest and largest mountains, the deepest place on Earth, and Easter Island.
Incidentally, a line from Easter Island to the obelisk in St. Peter’s Square incredibly bisects the whole Vatican complex. The name “Easter Island” was given by the island’s first recorded European visitor, the Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen, who encountered it on Easter Sunday, 5 April 1722. WTF?
On the flipside, Urban Asplund discovered that Africa is 66.6° wide from its westernmost point in Dakar to the easternmost projection of Somalia. Africa is also 66.6° high from its southernmost point to the place where the line running due north hits the Mediterranean, near Benghazi.
The Earth’s axis is also tilted 66.6° (90 – 23.4 = 66.6) from the ecliptic and travels along it at 66600 miles/hour (99.9%).
South America is 66.6° long along a north-south path that passes through Mt. Aconcagua, its highest peak. Urban Asplund discovered this one too.
The distance between the tips of South America and Africa is ~6660 km.
North America is 66.66° wide from the tip of Florida at Key Largo to the farthest place the US reaches into the Bearing Straight, Yesterday Island. The adjacent island, Tomorrow Island, is owned by Russia and is only a stone’s throw away on the other side of the International Dateline. Strange but true! Sea level changes over time, the Earth’s continents move, land subsides and uplifts. All of these correlations are the situation right NOW.
Eurasia is also structured with sixes but this time the measurement is 6066 nautical miles from the southwesternmost point in Europe, the lighthouse at Cape St. Vincent, to the symbolic Haicang bridge in Xiamen China. The lines goes very close to, but not perfectly through Astana, Kazakhstan.
“Cape St. Vincent was already sacred ground in Neolithic times, as standing menhirs in the neighborhood attest. The ancient Greeks called it Ophiussa (Land of Serpents), inhabited by the Oestriminis and dedicated here a temple to Heracles. The Romans called it Promontorium Sacrum (or Holy Promontory). They considered it a magical place where the sunset was much larger than anywhere else. They believed the sun sank here hissing into the ocean, marking the edge of their world.” -Source
That’s apropos considering how I previously connected snakes and sixes in Serpent Wisdom.
In 1541, European traders (mainly Portuguese) first visited Xiamen, which was China’s main port in the nineteenth century for exporting tea. Funny that they were Portuguese, considering where the opposite endpoint is in this measure of the maximum width of Eurasia. The Portuguese really got around back then!
All these sixes remind me of something I noticed in the microcosm of matter itself. Every proton in the universe is made of 2 up quarks and 1 down quark. The charge on the up quark is +0.666666… and the charge on the down quark is -0.333333…, netting a charge of +0.999999…, polarized oppositely to the electron. The neutron has 1 up quark and 2 down quarks as you can see, netting a zero charge.
In the macrocosm, I noticed the equation that governs Earth’s gravitational sphere of influence is all threes. The Sun’s mass is 333000 times greater than Earth’s mass. AU stands for astronomical unit, the mean distance from the Earth to the Sun.
Repetitive sixes and threes suggest triangles. This leads me finally to another epiphany (e-π-Φ-ny) I had, that the infinitesimal gap in what would otherwise be a perfect Pythagorean triangle connecting e, π, and Φ suggests the question, “Why can’t we ever rationalize the transcendental?”
This mystery is drawn to scale
Logically, the answer is that it is an irreducible eternal mystery, and I’m down with that.

The Cosmic Sequence

The following set of numbers comprise what I call the cosmic sequence:
27, 54, 108, 216, 432, 864, 1728, 3456
Each successive term is double the value of the preceding term.
The first term, 27, is equal to three cubed. Pythagoras said that three cubed represents the cosmos.

In Buddhism the traditional Great Retreat lasts for 3 years, 3 months and 3 days and the number 27 represents the highest level of knowledge in Rūpaloka, known as the world of form.
In the Kabbalah there are 27 letters, corresponding to 27 channels of communication with God. The Hebrew numeric system is additive, requiring 27 symbols (1-9, 10-90, 100-900), emphasizing formation from three nines.

…and strangely, many popular musicians are members of the 27 Club, meaning they died in their 27th year of life. 27 Club members include Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, and many others.

There are 54 years in a triple Saros cycle. In other words, it takes 54 years for the Sun, Moon and Earth to return to nearly identical celestial geometry such that an eclipse occurs on the same day and at the same time.

In SIPS Volume 1 (Jerusalem part 1 episode) I show how the cubit that measures Jerusalem measures 1.728 feet. 1728 such cubits measure the sacred geometry of the city. The X’s in the diagram mark the holiest spots in Christianity (Golgotha) and Judaism (Holy of Holies inside Solomon’s temple).
The New Jerusalem dimensioned in the Book of Revelation is a cube having a volume of 1728 billion cubic furlongs.

The Earth’s polar radius is 3456 royal miles (99.99%), where a royal mile is 8/7 of a statute mile.

As I blogged in my post on 432 Park Avenue, physicist Ray Tomes discovered that powers of 34560 proportion the universe at vastly different scales:
- If we take the average distance between moons and multiply it by a factor of 34560, we get the average distance between planets.
- Take the average distance between planets, multiply it by a factor of 34560 and we get the average distance between stars.
- Multiply the average distance between stars by a factor of 34560 and we get the average distance between galaxies.
- Take the average distance between galaxies, multiply it by a factor of 34560 and we get the size of the known Universe.

Burning Man
I was invited to go to Burning Man when it was at Baker Beach in San Francisco in 1989. At the time I remember wondering what would inspire people to ritually burn an effigy of a man on the beach, and thinking it particularly chthonic (which didn’t appeal to my Apollonian nature) I didn’t go. After being hassled by the “authorities” in San Francisco, Burning Man moved to the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada in 1990 and has been hosted there ever since. 51,515 people attended burning man in 2010 and attendance was capped at 50,000 thereafter. The maximum attendance reminds me of the Great Pyramid slope angle of 51 deg 51 min but maybe that’s “just a coincidence.”
The reason I’m writing about Burning Man is because I looked at it in Google Earth and was amazed that this annual pilgrimage site in a remote desert occurs within a temporary urban design called Black Rock City (BRC) that appears to be a magical diagram. It was designed by the late Rod Garrett who was an architect.
The pentagon surrounding the complex is surrounded by a 6/5 meter high (1.2 meters that is) “trash fence” that has an exoteric purpose to collect wind-blown debris and an esoteric purpose to magically protect whatever is inside its perimeter.
I was pondering the shape of this Petri dish of human culture and chanced upon the concept of Yetzirah which has a strong correlation in terms of shape and meaning.
Yetzirah is known as “World of Formation” in the Kabbalah. It seems to me that is what Burning Man is about: envisioning new modes of human interaction, a laboratory of culture, a world in formation. I read The Return of Quetzalcoatl (Tarcher 2006) a few years back and here is Daniel Pinchbeck’s take:
“I considered Burning Man to be a fulcrum for the evolution of consciousness on the planet, where cutting-edge scientists consorted with neo-pagan warlocks, and arcane bits of knowledge were exchanged at hyperspeed. But it was also a carnal carnival, an evanescent parade of erotic possibility. Nakedness, body painting, bizarre costumes, patterns of piercings, and every form of extreme self-modification became commonplace sights after a few hours at the gathering. As a laboratory of the contemporary freakster psyche, the gathering was not all sweetness and light.”
No photography is allowed at Burning Man unless approved by its organizers. In Nevada they seem to have an unspoken rule: whatever happens there stays there. This allows people to get into the spirit and let their guard down, let it all hang out (literally), do whatever they want, and be whoever they want to be.
BRC occupies 66.6% of a full circle within the 5-sided fence. In this sense we see another 6/5 comparison.
The magic square of the Sun’s 6 rows (or columns) add up 111 and produce a total of 666. The Sun therefore resonates with 666.

Author William Neil recently contacted me and I learned from reading his site that the Tropic of Cancer is 66.6 degrees from the North pole, the Tropic of Capricorn is 66.6 degrees from the South Pole, the Equator is 66.6 degrees from the Arctic and Antarctic circles, and the Earth’s average orbital speed is 66,666 miles per hour (99.9%).
These repetitions of sixes also remind me of how the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is 666 nautical miles from the Kaaba in Mecca. The Eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba contains fragments of the meteoric Black Stone venerated at the site long before Muhammad was born. The Haj pilgrimage to the Black Stone in Mecca syncs with the pilgrimage to Black Rock City.
“The Black Rock” was also a mysterious 19th century sailing ship that was a key symbol in the television show Lost, shipwrecked on an island that was lost in time. It is interesting that the avenues in BRC are named after times on a clock face, such as 3:30, 6:30, and so on.
I noticed that the central axis of BRC leads directly to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. This is significant because the Cathedral there has been a major pilgrimage destination since the 9th century. Over 100,000 Catholic pilgrims still travel to Santiago de Compostela each year from all over the world. Is Burning Man aligned to become the secular pilgrimage destination of the new world?
In the 9th century a hermit named Pelagius was guided to the place by a falling star and the etymology of “Compostela” is a corruption of Campus Stellae or “Field of Stars.”

Before the Catholic religion existed, the Celts made what was later known as Santiago de Compostela the place where souls of the dead gathered to follow the Sun across the Western sea.
Kevin McMahon noticed that a line originating at the center of BRC to the NW vertex of the pentagonal fence is at a bearing of 333.3 degrees true North (measured clockwise from north).
Here are a few facts from my forthcoming book, Taking Measure: Explorations in Number, Architecture, and the Cosmos (to be published in November 2012):
- The Sun is 333,000 times more massive than the Earth.
- It takes light 3.3 nanoseconds to travel one meter.
- Earth’s polar circumference is 6/5 x 33,333,333 meters (99.98%).
- The Dome of the Rock is 33 miles from the sea.

I noticed that the center of BRC is exactly 432 km from Masonic Center at 1111 California Street in San Francisco. The Sun’s radius is 432,000 miles (99.8%). See my Secrets of San Francisco post.
About a mile north of BRC is a remnant of the design created in 2009 by artist Jim Denevan who drove his truck around in numerous circles.
Here is a detail of Denevan’s large scale work that measures 3 miles in diameter. The central axis of this land art is oriented toward Black Rock City at 222.2 degrees true north.
I immediately recognized this design as an “Apollonian Net” because it is one of the first sacred geometry pieces of art I made about 5 years ago. I remember it was quite challenging to draw all the circles tangent to each other. I can’t imagine how challenging it must have been to drive a truck in this precise pattern. Kudos to Jim Denevan.

The numbers above indicate curvatures which are the reciprocals of the circles’ radii. This particular Apollonian gasket has some highly interesting curvatures.
In hyperbolic geometry all Apollonian nets are congruent. In a sense, there is therefore only one Apollonian net, which can be thought of as a tessellation of the hyperbolic plane by circles.
The curved surface of the Earth is an elliptical plane which is the exact opposite of a hyperbolic plane.
Jim Denevan’s web site shows an image of his land art superimposed over New York City’s Central Park, presumably because it is generally at the same latitude.
In fact the precise center of Black Rock City has the same latitude (40°46’58.48″N) as the center of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on the edge of Central Park.
That drew my attention to these center points. The center of Burning Man is where they burn the effigy of “The Man” at the end of the week long experience. I measured the two concentric circles surrounding this in Google Earth Pro and the inner circle has an area of 25,920 square meters (the Great Year is 25,920 years) and the outer circle has an area of 111,111 square meters.
The Solomon Guggenheim museum was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (FLW) and is world famous. FLW conceived of the concentric circle design as a “Temple of the Spirit.” The Guggenheim has recently become a Lego set in their fascinating Architecture theme. Lego offers other FLW designs including Fallingwater and the Robie House, with has unique roof elements having a slope of 33 degrees. They are so cool that I’d like to build them all.
I overlaid the image of BRC over the Guggenheim to scale and maintained the same orientation. The comparison has several geometric points of agreement with the edge of the pentagon paralleling the edge of what Mark Gray has dubbed Man-Aton (Manhattan). BRC itself touches the opposite edge along the East River. Center Camp of BRC is overlaid immediately adjacent to the Met and its Temple of Dendur where I discovered an alignment in Secrets In Plain Sight – Volume 1 and Cleopatra’s Needle which is discussed in Volume 2.
I made an illustration a few months ago about the name of wise Solomon being a reference to the Egyptian sun god. The Israelites came out of Egypt after all.

Solomon Guggenheim was married to Irene Rothschild and together they controlled one of the world’s largest fortunes. Today the Guggenheim Foundation operates the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (designed by architect Frank Gehry) and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice among many other things. Guggenheim Partners manages over $100 billion in assets and another family vehicle, Guggenheim Investment Advisors, oversees $50 billion in assets. You get the picture, the Guggenheim family is among the elite 1%.

The rays emanating from the disc at the center of the Solomon Guggnheim museum skylight have 36 major divisions. The sum of the numbers 1 through 36 is 666.
“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666).” Revelation 13:18
So this skylight resonates with the Sun and “The Man.”

Sin embargo, este símbolo es un emblema universal que posee unos orígenes remotos y ha sido utilizado con fines diversos por numerosas culturas: de talismán protector hasta símbolo alquímico o mero elemento decorativo.
