From "Solomon, Falcon of Sheba" by Ralph Ellis, beginning on page 126:
"While it would appear that the mother of Jesus was following in these ancient Egyptian traditions, there is another section of the New Testament evidence that again points towards Egypt....
....Mary Magdalene has been given some bad press in the Bible, and this was probably due to a strong priestly desire to distance her from Jesus - it was too embarassing to admit that she was Jesus' wife, let alone contemplate the possibility that she was his sister too. But some of this bad press may actually have been derived from a subtle and deliberate mistranslation of a particular verse in the gospel of Luke:
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils. Luke 8:2
But this is not the only possible translation of this vers; it could also be taken to read:
And a certain woman who had worshipped blinding (strong) winds, Mary, named (after the) Seven Tower out of which went god (winds).
The word for 'healed' (theraputae) can mean 'worshipped' and the term for 'evil spirits' (ponerous pneuma) could easily become 'blinding winds'. The reason for Mary, in her guise as a much later 'Queen of Sheba', being associated with whirlwinds (the jinn of the Koran) will be given later. The term for 'devils' (daemons) can be a reference to 'god' or even the jinn whirlwinds once more - in fact, the latter are still called dust-devils to this day.
More important, however, is the fact that Mary Magdalene can be seen as being associated with both a tower and the number seven. The name Magdalene can be literally translated from the Greek as meaning 'tower' and, as we have already seen, this association between the terms 'tower' and 'seven' is present in a famous Biblical quotation:
Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against they rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the Tower of Seven even unto the border of Ethiopia. Ezekiel 29:10
Just to review the explanations from chapter III, both of these words have been directly transliterated out of the original Egyptian: the Magdalene 'tower' has been taken from the Egyptian word maktal or magdjal (glyphs) meaning 'tower', while the number seven has been derived from the Egyptian word sefekh (glyphs) meaning 'seven'.
So, Ezekiel's 'Tower of Seven' is none other than the Egyptian 'Magdal of Sefekh', the same title that is now being associated with Mary Magdalene. The Tower of Sefekh was historically seen to be a prime symbol of Egypt and because of this notoriety it has already been identified with the Great Pyramid (the Great Tower) of Egypt. The number seven is also translatable as Sheba, as this is one of the prime Hebrew meanings for this word.
Malcolm: To understand where 'Seven' comes from, we need to go back to page 57 of Ellis's book:
"If the great entrance door to the Great Pyramid was unbolted and opened on the seventh day, and if the door itself was considered to be the 'Great Door of Heaven' - the divine portal that led into the nether world of the Djuat, the land of the gods and the dead - then it is axiomatic that sefekh, the Egyptian term for unbolting a door and the number seven, would have become intimately associated with the Egyptian word seba, meaning the Great Door of Heaven. The Seba (glyphs) would have been s-sefekh (glyphs) (unbolted) on the Sefekh (glyphs) (seventh or Shabbeth) day. This is indeed what is found, and in the translation from the Egyptian into Hebrew, the word for the number 'seven' became associated more with seba than with sefekh - hence the word for 'seven' in Hebrew is seba, not sefekh.
But the original use of the word sefekh (glyphs) , as a term for unbolting the Great Door, was not entirely lost even within the Hebrew language; and I can confidently assert this because the association of this word with the Great Pyramid was retained in the Biblical book of Ezekiel:
Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against they rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border with Ethiopia. Ezekiel 29:10.
By the era of Ezekiel, the Israelites had been away from Egypt for hundreds of years, and their former homeland had now become the scapegoat for each and every misfortune that the Israelites encountered. This verse is one of many oaths against the newly despised land of Egypt.
It may not be immediately apparent what the quote is trying to say, because some daft translator has interpreted the 'tower' as being called Syene. The Gideon Bible has taken this obfuscation one step further by saying that the land was laid waste 'from Migdol to Aswan'! What a tangled web we weave....
The truth of the matter is that the Gideon Bible's city of 'Migdol' was not a town but a 'tower', just as the King James Bible correctly translates - migdol (Hebrew letters) means tower in Hebrew. The problem with the King James' version of this verse is that the word Syene is very badly transliterated into the English. The usual Hebrew pronunciation for this word is actually 'Seven' (Hebrew letters) or 'Sheven' (Hebrew letters). (Note the mixing of the 's' and 'sh' consonants once more.)
The tower in question is, of course, not really the 'Tower of Seven'; it is more correctly translated as the 'Tower of Sefekh' - but the verse is using he Hebrew version of this word, which is 'Seven'. As I mentioned previously, the Hebrew letter 'kh' (Hebrew letter) has simply become confused with and exchanged for the similar-lookiing letter 'n' (Hebrew letter).
This, however, does not fully explain this verse n the book of Ezekiel. We have still not deciphered which 'tower' in Egypt would have been closely associated with the word sefekh, meaning to unbolt a door, and which 'tower' would also be closely identified with the number seven. The answer is not only obvious, but also inescapable - the 'tower' to which Ezekiel was referring was a 'tower' that apparently defined the whold character of the land of Egypt.
It was a shibboleth, or symbol, that every enlightened reader was immediately supposed to understand to be a reference to Egypt, and so it is axiomatic that this 'tower' was none other than the Great Pyramid of Giza itself. In reality, Ezekiel was trying to say:
Behold, therefore I am against Egypt, and against Egypt's rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate from the Great Pyramid even unto the border of Ethiopia.
If the term sefekh referred to the Great Pyramid and if, in turn, the term seba was related to the doorway of the Great Pyramid - which is still the largest building on the planet - then the terms sefekh and Seba would have been as Egyptian as apple pie is American. In this case, the name Seba (Sheba) would have been a positive reference to the land of Lower Egypt and likewise, the Queen of Sheba is likely to have been a queen or princess of Egypt."

Interesting  German diminutive of HELENE or MAGDALENA....is Leni We see Saint Helen carry the cross just like we see the Madeliene carry the cross at Renne  From a title which meant "of Magdala". Mary Magdalene, a character in the New Testament, was named thus because she was from Magdala - a village on the sea of Galilee whose name meant "tower" in Hebrew. She was cleaned of evil spirits by Jesus and then remained with him during his ministry, witnessing the crucifixion and the resurrection. She was a popular saint in the Middle Ages, and the name became common then. In England it is traditionally rendered Madeline, while Magdalene or Magdalen is the learned form.

I wanted to share a few images and impressions of my most recent visit to Rennes-le-Chateau, and also, more than anything else, to convey my sincere congratulations to Mariano and his colleagues for the absolutely superb job they and the commune have done in revamping the museum in the presbytery, and other parts of Sauniere's domaine. It was the first time I'd been back since the changes were made, and I was very impressed. The museum has been greatly transformed, with the exception of the parlour to the left as you go in, which is still dominated by the rather unfortunate waxworks of Sauniere being served, not by Marie, but by her mother, but that aside, the whole place looks very different. Items such as the old altar pillar, the wooden baluster and the Dalle des Chevaliers, are now in the ground floor room on the right, together with the glass cabinets containing artefacts from the pre-historic, Gallo-Roman and medieval periods.  The upper rooms contain many familiar items from the previous collection, including the excellent scale model, but the layout is quite different. AV presentations play in one room, by collections of the priest's belongings, furniture and vestments.  Lots of smart looking display boards have gone up, recounting the village's history and mystery, and there are also some nice items of nostalgia, like this old poster, though I think this was here before.  Much of the interior of the Villa Bethania was closed, as it generally is, but in this room, a pianola was playing.  The brilliant sunshine outside made the stained glass in the villa look particularly vivid.  Outside, in the domaine, refurbishment works have been undertaken to the belevedere.  And a lot of clearance has been done in the garden between the belvedere and the villa, and once this is all planted up, it should look really good.  This is a nice view of the presbytery and the church.  Much work remains to be done, for which funds will need to be raised, particularly to the Tour Magdala and the church. This is just inside the church entrance.  But the work done thus far has been excellent. This used to be such a dismal place to visit - tired, dusty, full of clutter - but the experience now is completely different to what it used to be. Great job, Mariano, and whoever else has been involved. I shall add some further pictures later of the village itself, and its immediate environs. The hebrew Migdal -eder is thought to have been corrupted into Magdalene. The name is not Mary Magdalene but Mary THE MAGDALENE. This stems from Micah 4:8 where it says: And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion (Sion), unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. (KJV)Migdal-eder means Tower of the Flock in Hebrew. It was an astronomical observatory just like Saunière's was. But had eight observation windows at the top like the Tour d'Alchemie. today was 3 Elul, 77th anniversary of the death of Rav Kook z”l, on whose gravestone are found the 3 dates recorded herein. surely 77 is a significant number upon which to reflect. 77 is the simple gematria for ‘mazal’ (“luck”if you will), and certainly starting Elul with good fortune in the cards isn’t all bad, right? but we can do better if we think back to the 3rd haftarah of comfort, which we read/heard on Rosh Chodesh Elul just passed, and remember Proverbs 18:10:
“migdal-oz, shem haShem”
(a tower of strength is the Name of G’d)
the Name is a tower (gematria=77) of strength (gematria=77). and the haftarah teaches us that all the children will learn of G’d, ie, come to know the Name. and we will not need to fear the oppression of our wrongs in the past or the devastation of falling back into bad ways, for it will not come near (Isaiah 54:14). let’s expand the 77-77 further in Psalm 61:4:
“for you have been a refuge for me
a tower of strength in the face of the enemy
and back to our haftarah, in which we learn further (54:17) the power inherent in the Name:

oh, hey, what about those dates on Rav Kook’s stone? isn’t it usually just birthdate and deathdate? well, they reflect his own emulation of the walk of Avraham avinu with haShem. do we know much about Avraham’s birth and birthdate? nope. but we know that he was called by G’d to GO himself, for himself, to himself, leaving behind your birthplace, your land , and your parents home. 3 leavings for Avraham avinu represented 3 ascents that are paralleled in Rav Kook’s life: the parental home represents the pull of the familiar and comfortable origin, which R’ Kook put behind him when he left europe and ascended to the Land of Israel on 28 Iyyar 5664; your land represents peer pressure for the ways of galut, which R’ Kook put away when he ascended to Jerusalem to live while founding a new religious way that merged rich zionism (and association with the secular) with traditional teachings and practices on 28 Iyyar 5679; and last, but not least, your birthplace represents the pull of the place into which your soul is born–your body, which R’ Kook put behind him when he died and ascended to the wholly spiritual realm on 3 Elul 5695.
birthdate is past–aveirah in aver–but each ascent as you walk Torah is a moment of vividly living in a moment. not a record of history, but a piling of milestones. so it is for everyone doing t’shuvah…you ascend from strength to strength, leaving behind the pulls of what was, adding your own milestones to the walls of the Tower of Strength.

7/7/7: Solar Resurrection Day

What's the deal with '7/7/7'? Well, it's all about Solar Resurrection... again.
So the Sun is thus doubly 'dead' on 7/7/07, signifying a moment of transition from life to death and back to life. It's Resurrection in the 'Valley of the Sun', like the nickname of the capital of Arizona, Phoenix.
The Sun also 'dies' on the winter solstice when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky. In 2006 it was commemorated by the space shuttle Discovery STS-116 landing in Florida, the 'Sunshine State' (12/22/06).
From a galactic perspective, the Sun crossed the Galactic Equator on the winter solstice and the Galactic Meridian on December 8-9, exactly when Discovery STS-116 was launched.

The Galactic solstice-Sun alignment is closely associated with the end date of the Mayan calendar, winter solstice 2012, when Sunspot Cycle 24 is projected to peak. The Galactic Meridian alignment coincided with the release of Mel Gibson's 'Apolcalypto', all about the end of the Mayan civilization.
The Sun was strangely active as well...
 
The Sun would cross the Galactic Meridian again on June 7-8 on the opposite side of the sky/ecliptic.
It coincided with the Venus Transit (= 'Grail/Messianic conception') in 2004 and the launch of Atlantis STS-117 this year.
Atlantis returned only a day after the summer solstice, when the Sun 'died' for the Southern Hemisphere.
It was another death/life Resurrection moment - acknowledged or foreshadowed by the shuttles' solstice axis expressing 'coming out of the egg' (back to life) via the STS-116 mission patch and such.
And it was Prince William, a 'Once and Future King' (Arthur) figure, 'reborn' on his summer-solstice birthday. Atlantis landed at Edwards AFB to highlight Paris, where his mother Princess Diana died in 1997. Edwards is aligned with the 'Tower Axis' (Eiffel Tower, Champ de Mars) extended from Paris.
On the 'Tower Axis' is also found the crash site of NASA's Genesis (9/8/04). It went to the Sun and came back with solar wind samples. The crash therefore signifies the Sun hitting the bottom, again expressing the phoenix death/resurrection theme.
The astronomical/astrological symbol of the Sun looks like this:
It also signifies the 'Monad' - known to the Greek philosophers as 'The First', 'The Seed', 'The Essence', 'The Builder', and 'The Foundation'. Or in other words... Genesis.
Within weeks of the Genesis crash, U2 released the first single 'Vertigo' off their new album 'How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb'. 'Vertigo' is the name of the company which provided the helicopters that were supposed to catch Genesis midair (see picture above). One of those helicopters was also named 'Vertigo'.
The connection is reinforced by the lyrics of 'Vertigo' alluding to the progressive rock/pop band 'Genesis'. Their last big hit was 'I can't Dance' from their 1991 album 'We Can't Dance' which is referenced in the second verse of 'Vertigo':

Update: Genesis, reunited and touring this year, was the first band to perform in London's Live Earth concert.
Furthermore, the 'Vertigo' video shows U2 in the desert like NASA's Genesis, performing on a Sun/Monad symbol.
'Vertigo' was also heavily used by Apple to promote the iPod...
...showing the same Sun/Genesis symbol (the 'click wheel').
Apple's new product iPhone - widely considered the most highly anticipated consumer electronics device in history - was just released on June 29, '07, the same day as the car bomb event in London recalling the 7/7 bombings there two years ago, seemingly setting the stage for Live Earth 7/7/07... And what do we see in the Live Earth logo? The same solar symbol!
Live Earth certainly knows where it is in time (aphelion, etc.) and is the latest manifestation of the the 'Solar Resurrection' theme.
Now, whereas we see the blue sky in the Life Earth solar symbol, we see the solar symbol in the blue sky on the cover of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing'.
The song was a major part of the enigmatic final scene of The Sopranos (HBO) that got everybody talking.
Unbeknownst to most, the episode was mostly about Solar Resurrection. So for example on Journey's 'Escape' album cover - the album of 'Don't Stop Believing' - we find the scarab beetle coming out of a sphere/egg:

- The image of the scarab, conveying ideas of transformation, renewal, and resurrection, is ubiquitous in ancient Egyptian religious and funerary art.
- The scarab was linked to Khepri ("he who has come into being"), the god of the rising sun.
- The ancients believed that the dung beetle was only male in gender, and reproduced by depositing semen into a dung ball.
- The ancient Egyptians believed that Khepri renewed the sun every day before rolling it above the horizon, then carried it through the other world after sunset, only to renew it, again, the next day.
The final scene of The Sopranos was also literally a 'Last Supper', evoking death and resurrection... and the Grail. This is just the tip of the iceberg but you get the idea.
The same Sun/Genesis symbol is also in the Tour de France logo:
The race starts on 7/7/07 and in London - the city of Diana, Prince William, and the 7/7 bombings two years ago. The race will conclude in Paris, another 'Diana city', aligned with Genesis' crash site and Edwards AFB (Atlantis landing).
The 'Tower Axis' or the Champ de Mars (green) is highlighted by the Eiffel Tower. It's the 'Tower of France' or, since 'tour' means 'tower' in French, 'Tour de France'.
The 'Tower of France' is also Mary Magdalene - the lady of the Grail. 'Magdalene' means 'tower' and she is said to have gone to France after the Crucifixion, carrying the 'Grail' with her. The Grail is a form of the phoenix. (This also interacts with the Stuart/Grail bloodline of Diana discussed before.)
On the official Tour de France website I even found (now gone/hidden) a 'Live Earth'... being cooked by the Sun - alluding to global warming.
It was coded as well... Like this, for example:
(London and Washington are both Live Earth concert sites.)
In any case, a 'Deep Impact sequence' should follow 7/7/7... Good times...
