In terms of Richard Hoagland's ' hyperdimensional physics' derived from the geometric 'message' of Cydonia (Mars), the conduit or 'stargate' between this world  and the Otherworld (i.e. hyperspace) is prominently represented by the angle 19.5°. According to the theory, it is the tetrahedral geometry signified by this angle that enables inter-dimensional energy transfer between the two realms.
 This 'stargate' geometry is expressed by a circumscribed tetrahedron (made up of four equilateral triangles). Interestingly enough, the hieroglyphic sign denoting Sirius was a triangle in ancient Egypt.
The connection is made evident by archaeo-astronomy. First, it is widely accepted these days that the 'air shafts' inside the Great Pyramid were designed to aligned with certain stars. One was specifically targeted toward Sirius in c. 2350 BC.
And at that pinpointed time (c. 2350 BC), Sirius and Orion's Alnitak (representing the Great Pyramid as per the Orion Correlation Theory) together produced the angle 19.5° (when Sirius was rising on the Giza horizon).[10]
 
Next, it is natural - given the Sirius-Great Bend connection - to wonder about the possibility of the Nile's 'Winding Waterway' having some relevance to tetrahedral geometry. Indeed, we do find a clear connection!
Believe it or not, the northern peak of the Great Bend precisely pinpoints the tetrahedral/stargate latitude, 19.5°N.!
What's even more incredible is the fact that the same Bend peak also pinpoints 33°E longitude. As those familiar with Hoagland's work would surely know, '33' and '19.5' are considered the two key numbers in the 'hyperdimensional code'! (Hoagland is just not yet aware of this Nile connection.)
In 1997, the esoteric importance of those numbers was overtly demonstrated as NASA landed a tetrahedron-shaped Mars Pathfinder lander on the Red Planet at 19.5 N and 33 W.! (That's pretty in your face, isn't it?)

El centro galáctico visto por los telescopios 2MASS.
El centro galáctico es el centro de rotación de nuestra galaxia, la Vía Láctea. En 1985 la Unión Astronómica Internacional adopto la distancia a 8.5 kiloparsecs del Sol.[1] Sin embargo, investigaciones recientes han sugerido distancias menores a esta.[2] Está en dirección de las constelaciones Sagitario, Ofiuco y Escorpio, donde la Vía Láctea parece más brillante.
Se dice que hay un agujero negro supermasivo en el centro de la Vía Láctea.[3]
Existencia y ubicación [editar]
Debido a que el polvo interestelar bloquea nuestra línea de visión hacia el centro de la galaxia, éste no puede ser estudiado mediante el espectro visible, el ultravioleta o por rayos X de baja potencia. En consecuencia, la información que actualmente se posee sobre el centro galáctico proviene de observaciones realizadas por rayos gamma, infrarrojos, observaciones de longitudes de onda submilimetrales, ondas de radio o rayos X de alta potencia.
Las coordenadas del centro galáctico fueron encontradas por primera vez por Harlow Shapley en el estudio que realizó en 1918 acerca de la distribución de los cúmulos globulares. En el sistema de coordenadas ecuatoriales las coordenadas son: AR 17h45m40.04s, Dec -29° 00' 28.1" (época J2000).
Agujero negro supermasivo [editar]
La radiofuente Sagitario A parece estar ubicada casi exactamente en el centro galáctico, y contiene una potente y compacta fuente de ondas de radio, Sagitario A*, la que podría ser un agujero negro supermasivo ubicado en el centro de la Vía Láctea.
Es de suponer que el disco de acreción gaseoso está emitiendo suficiente energía para alimentar la fuente de estas poderosas ondas. Un estudio de 2008 realizado con radiotelescopios en Hawaii, Arizona y California (VLBI) reveló que, en promedio, el diámetro de Sagitario A* alcanza las 0,3 UA[4] (unos 44 millones de kilómetros), bastante más grande de lo que mediría el agujero negro. Este último sería demasiado pequeño para ser visible con la instrumentación disponible actualmente.
En diciembre de 2008, científicos del Instituto Max Planck de Física Extraterrestre en Alemania anunciaron que lograron confirmar la existencia del agujero negro supermasivo en el centro de la galaxía, mediante el uso de telescopios chilenos. El agujero negro en cuestión tendría una masa equivalente a cuatro millones de masas solares.[3]
Población estelar [editar]
El pársec central alrededor de Sagitario A* contiene miles de estrellas. Aunque muchas de ellas son viejas estrellas rojas de la secuencia principal, el centro galáctico es también rico en estrellas masivas. Más de 100 estrellas OB y Wolf-Rayet han sido identificadas hasta ahora. Éstas parecen haberse formado en un solo evento de formación estelar hace algunos millones de años.
La existencia de estas relativamente jóvenes estrellas (aunque evolucionadas) sorprendieron a los expertos, quienes esperaban que la fuerza de marea del agujero negro central no permitiera que esto sucediese. Esta paradoja, conocida como la paradoja de la juventud, es aún más remarcable para las estrellas que mantienen órbitas muy cercanas con Sagitario A*, como S2.
Algunas de las explicaciones existentes para esta paradoja dicen que estas estrellas se formaron en un masivo cúmulo estelar fuera del centro galáctico para luego llegar, ya formadas, donde están actualmente. Otra explicación sugiere que las estrellas se formaron en un masivo y compacto disco de acreción de gas cerca del agujero negro central.
Es interesante notar que muchas de estas 100 o más estrellas parecen estar concentradas en uno o dos discos (de acuerdo a los grupos de astronomía de la UCLA y el MPE respectivamente), en vez de estar distribuidas aleatoriamente en el pársec central. Sin embargo, éstas observaciones no permiten obtener, hasta el momento, conclusiones definitivas respecto a este punto.
En un principio, se creía que actualmente no se están formando nuevas estrellas en el centro galáctico, aunque el disco circumnuclear de gas molecular que orbita el centro de la galaxia a unos dos pársecs de distancia pareciera ser un lugar favorable para que ocurran nuevas formaciones. Sin embargo, primero una investigación presentada en 2002 por los científicos Antony Stark y Chris Martin reveló que la densidad del gas en una región de 400 años luz alrededor del centro galáctico, concentrado en un anillo con varios millones de veces la masa del Sol, se acerca a la densidad crítica para la formación de nuevas estrellas, y finalmente estudios realizados con los telescopios de infrarrojos Spitzer y Herschel han acabado por mostrar la presencia de estrellas aún en formación en la región del centro galáctico.,[5] [6] y además en el caso de éste último telescopio cómo tal anillo es comparable al existente en el centro de otras galaxias espirales barradas cómo NGC 1097, aunque con una forma elíptica (100 parsecs * 60 parsecs), inclinado 40 grados y un tanto deformado, y perpendicular a los extremos de la barra de nuestra galaxia.[7] [8]
En consecuencia, Antony Stark y Chris Martin han predicho que en aproximadamente 200 millones de años habrá un episodio de brote estelar en el centro galáctico, lo que significa que se crearán rápidamente muchas estrellas, produciendo allí además una tasa de supernovas cientos de veces la actual. El brote estelar puede estar acompañado también de jets galácticos cuando la materia resultante caiga en el agujero negro central. Actualmente, se cree que se producen regularmente episodios de brotes estelares cada 500 millones de años en la Vía Láctea.

Esfinge de Gizeh en el equinoccio de primavera
La anotación de los periódos del año, equinoccios y solsticios, es importantísimo para la fijación del calendario anual, y para el seguimiento y datación de la precesión de los equinoccios, como veremos más adelante.
Equinoccios y Solsticios.
Vamos a ver en imágenes como se producía esta anotación en función de la esfinge de Gizeh.
1. Equinoccio de primavera. Durante el equinoccio de primavera, el 21 de Marzo, el Sol sale justo por el Este durante 2 días.
2. Solsticio de Verano.
Actualmente, cada 19 de junio del calendario gregoriano, la Nave Tierra en la que viajamos se coloca en el punto de su órbita en el que cruza por la línea que une al Sol y al centro de la Galaxia, es decir, que el planeta se coloca entre dos centros cósmicos: el centro del Sistema solar (el Sol) y el común a todas las estrellas, el Centro de la Galaxia. El centro del Ser galáctico es el punto de referencia fundamental para nuestra orientación en un Espacio en el que no existen fechas ni horas, y por ello es un "vacío terrible" para la mente acostumbrada a "marcapasos".
Teniendo en cuenta que el Sol (Sistema solar, y con él las órbitas de los planetas como la Tierra) gira alrededor de otro centro como puede ser el propio centro galáctico, y que los calendarios son estructuras mentales estáticas no vivientes y por ello incapaces de adaptarse a la dinámica de los movimientos de los astros en el Espacio, es fácil imaginar que hace 2000 años (por ejemplo) esta circunstancia ocurriera en otra fecha, en tal caso de hace 2000 años el 24 de mayo. Pero para los astros no existen nuestras fechas sino sus movimientos circulares y sus alineaciones que se producen cíclicamente en el infinito EspacioTiempo (88) del Ser universal. Sus astros (sus reflejos, sus señales, nuestros guías) son los puentes para la reintegración de nuestra conciencia en la dinámica universal. Los calendarios, al ser estáticos, "congelan" la conciencia, y se hacen útiles sólo para una existencia lineal con una esperanza media de 70 años (tal es la duración media de una persona moderna).
Durante el solsticio de verano, el 21 de Junio, el Sol salía por el Noreste a 28º a la izquierda de la visión de la esfinge.
3. Equinoccio de Otoño. Durante el equinoccio de otoño, el 21 de Septiembre, el Sol salía justo por el Este durante 2 días.
4. Solsticio de invierno. Durante el solsticio de invierno, el 21 de Diciembre, el Sol salía a 28º Sureste de la visión de la esfinge.

En este contexto APOCALIPSIS 12 TIENE REFERENCIA claramente a una FIESTA HEBREA en la constelacion zodiacal de virgo y en luna oscura. ¿saben que fiesta es? LA FIESTA DE LOS TABERNACULOS. CRISTO (La mujer) porque obviamente nuestro Señor pertenece a la mujer de Dios y no a UNA FALSA TRINIDAD O UNA FALSA DEIDAD, vestido con el SOL, y con MARIA DE BETANIA, la Luna, bajos sus pies y las 12 estrellas-apostoles. Esto claramente en un MACRO CODIGO ESPIRITUAL MADRE. Compare este cuadro CON APOCALIPSIS 12.

Sabemos que la verdadera luna nueva es en luna llena como hemos estudiado en otro panel.
Aparte tambien hemos visto en otro panel que el piso de la luna llena, para determinar el año nuevo hebreo, es el 22 de febrero, para que nos caiga el verdadero PENTECOSTES, el 20 de junio en solsticio. Osea que siempre que tengamos luna llena entre el 22 de febrero, inclusive hasta el 23 de marzo, tambien incluido, es el primer dia del primer mes hebreo.

SHAVUOT JUSTO EL 20 DE JUNIO (SOLSTICIO) EN EL AÑO 1997. APARENTEMENTE EL 22 DE FEBRERO ES EL PISO PARA EL VERDADERO ROSH HASHANAH (AÑO NUEVO) HEBREO. TAMBIEN SE CUMPLIO DE ESA FORMA EN LOS AÑOS 1978, 1959, 1940 Y SERA ASI EN EL 2016, OSEA EN EL AÑO DEL BICENTENARIO DE LA INDEPENDENCIA ARGENTINA. 11. A ti te digo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y vete a tu casa.
12. Entonces él se levantó en seguida, y tomando su lecho, salió delante de todos, de manera que todos se asombraron, y glorificaron a Dios, diciendo: Nunca hemos visto tal cosa. (La gloria es para Dios)
13. Después volvió a salir al mar; y toda la gente venía a él, y les enseñaba.
14. Y al pasar, vio a Leví hijo de Alfeo, sentado al banco de los tributos públicos, y le dijo: Sígueme. Y levantándose, le siguió.
15. Aconteció que estando Jesús a la mesa en casa de él, muchos publicanos y pecadores estaban también a la mesa juntamente con Jesús y sus discípulos; porque había muchos que le habían seguido.
16. Y los escribas y los fariseos, viéndole comer con los publicanos y con los pecadores, dijeron a los discípulos: ¿Qué es esto, que él come y bebe con los publicanos y pecadores? (El fariseo demoniza. El mismo no tiene amor. Lo unico que le interesa al mismo es el poder. Se disfraza de buenito pero es todo lo contrario. Eso se llama hipocresia y era lo que mas odiaba el señor)
17. Al oír esto Jesús, les dijo: Los sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos. No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores.
18. Y los discípulos de Juan y los de los fariseos ayunaban; y vinieron, y le dijeron: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan y los de los fariseos ayunan, y tus discípulos no ayunan?
19. Jesús les dijo: ¿Acaso pueden los que están de bodas ayunar mientras está con ellos el esposo? Entre tanto que tienen consigo al esposo, no pueden ayunar. (La boda es una referencia a el matrimonio entre el sol y la luna, osea a Jacob=Israel y Raquel, los padres de Jose)
20. Pero vendrán días cuando el esposo les será quitado, y entonces en aquellos días ayunarán.
21. Nadie pone remiendo de paño nuevo en vestido viejo; de otra manera, el mismo remiendo nuevo tira de lo viejo, y se hace peor la rotura.
22. Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo rompe los odres, y el vino se derrama, y los odres se pierden; pero el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar. (El vino es una referencia a la sangre de Cristo, osea el linaje. Lo que no logro entender el porque la relacion con el Grial en el contexto a Pentecostes.)
23. Aconteció que al pasar él por los sembrados un día de reposo, sus discípulos, andando, comenzaron a arrancar espigas. (Se repite el patron de Mateo 12, osea VIRGO=RAQUEL, osea el linaje de Jacob en Raquel, osea Jose y Benjamin. Recordemos que VIRGO tiene en la mano una espiga de Trigo.)
24. Entonces los fariseos le dijeron: Mira, ¿por qué hacen en el día de reposo lo que no es lícito?
25. Pero él les dijo: ¿Nunca leísteis lo que hizo David cuando tuvo necesidad, y sintió hambre, él y los que con él estaban;
26. cómo entró en la casa de Dios, siendo Abiatar sumo sacerdote, y comió los panes de la proposición, de los cuales no es lícito comer sino a los sacerdotes, y aun dio a los que con él estaban?
27. También les dijo: El día de reposo fue hecho por causa del hombre, y no el hombre por causa del día de reposo. ORIÓN
Estrellas principales:
* Betelgeuse: proviene de una expresión árabe que significa "axila del que está en el centro".
* Rigel: de origen árabe, es la "pierna del que está en el centro" ("Rijl Jauzah al Yusra").
* Bellatrix: el significado último de este nombre es "la mujer guerrera". Su origen se halla en una serie de errores de
traducción al y del árabe medieval de una palabra, "al najid", que significa "el conquistador ".
* Saiph: proviene de la expresión árabe "Saif al Jabbar", esto es, "la espada del gigante".
* Mintaka: palabra árabe que significa "cinturón".
* Alnitak: del árabe, significa "faja".
* Alnilam: proviene de árabe, de una expresión que significa "collar de perlas".
Descripción 
Es la constelación más impresionante del Hemisferio Norte y representa de forma muy "evidente" una figura humana con un arco extendido hacia el este, enfrentándose a Tauro. Contiene dos estrellas de primera magnitud, Betelgeuse y Rigel y la famosa nebulosa de Orión en forma de daga que cuelga de tres estrellas en línea recta que conforman el Cinturón de Orión.
La constelación de Orión, gracias al brillo de las estrellas que la componen, ha estado presente en todas las culturas en un lugar de relevancia entre los mitos celestes, aunque no siempre considerando todas las estrellas involucradas actualmente.
La primera noticia que se tiene de ella la sitúa en Mesopotamia: aparece en las tablas de Mul-Apin bajo el nombre de "Siba-zi-an-na", "El verdadero pastor celeste". De una tradición acadia procede el término "Papsukkal", que es el visir de los dioses Anu e Inanna (An e Ishtar en acadio). La forma se correspondería a la actual, con el personaje representado sujetando un bastón o un arco.
En el antiguo Egipto, esta constelación fue de gran importancia, aunque no completa: las tres estrellas del Cinturón de Orión, Alnitak, Alnilam y Mintaka, eran las representantes de Sah, dios estelar que representaba a Osiris. Frecuentemente se ha asociado a esta constelación la propiedad de servir a los arquitectos egipcios como "mapa estelar" por el cual orientar las pirámides del Imperio Antiguo. La mayor parte de estas afirmaciones son fábulas, aunque estudios serios no descartan que esta constelación formara parte de la vida de los egipcios de aquella época de forma muy importante.
En la antigua Grecia, ya Homero nombra a esta constelación con el nombre de Orión. Era un hermoso cazador, hijo de Euríale y Poseidón, de estatura inmensa ("sus hombros sobresalían del mar en las fosas más profundas"), del que se cuentan muchos mitos (bastante inconexos, por cierto). Se habría enamorado de Mérope, y al no ser correspondido se emborrachó un día y la forzó. El padre de Mérope, Enopión, pidió venganza al dios Dionisos, que durmió al cazador en un profundo sueño. Enopión aprovechó esto para arrancarle los ojos. Desesperado y sin vista, Orión se dirigió a un oráculo, quien le dijo que sólo recuperaría la vista caminando sin descanso hacia el Este (que es precisamente la dirección que siguen las constelaciones).
Tras mucho caminar llegó a Lemnos, donde recuperó la visión. Dedicó mucho tiempo a perseguir a Enopión buscando venganza, pero nunca lo alcanzó. Con el tiempo, entró al servicio de Artemisa (Diana, la cazadora), como cazador. Se cuenta de él que era el mejor cazador de su tiempo, y que maravillaba a todos con sus proezas... hasta el punto que la soberbia se adueñó de él. Un día, llegó a decir que ni el más grande y poderoso animal era rival para él. Al acabar la frase, un diminuto escorpión le picó en el pie y lo mató. Artemisa se apiadó de su servidor y pidió a Zeus que lo situara entre las estrellas. Desde entonces, la constelación de Orión se oculta por el oeste cuando la constelación de Scorpius sale por el este.

Alnitak (Dseta Orionis / ζ Ori / 50 Ori) es un sistema estelar situado en la constelación de Orión. Forma parte del llamado Cinturón de Orión junto a Mintaka (δ Orionis) y Alnilam (ε Orionis) y con ellas forma el grupo conocido como «las tres Marías», siendo Alnitak la estrella situada más al sur. Su nombre proviene del árabe النطاق an-niṭāq y significa «el cinturón». Aunque inicialmente se pensaba que se encontraba a unos 1.500 años luz del Sistema Solar, la medida de su paralaje por el satélite Hipparcos dio como resultado una distancia de sólo unos 700 años luz.

Alnitak es un sistema estelar triple, cuyas componentes principales están separadas 2,1 segundos de arco. La estrella principal del sistema, Alnitak A, es a su vez una estrella binaria, carácter recién descubierto en 1998. La componente principal, Alnitak Aa, es una supergigante azul de tipo espectral O9.5Ib y magnitud aparente +1,89, la más brillante en el cielo de este tipo espectral. Alnitak Ab, 2 magnitudes más tenue, es igualmente una estrella de tipo O, aunque de secuencia principal.
Alnitak Aa es una estrella muy caliente con una temperatura efectiva de 29.500 ± 1.000 K, 10.000 veces más luminosa que el Sol en el espectro visible, aunque si se considera la importante cantidad de radiación ultravioleta que emite, su luminosidad es 100.000 mayor que la solar. Su masa se estima en unas 20 masas solares. Alnitak es una fuente de rayos X provenientes del fuerte viento estelar que sopla a casi 2.000 km/s desde su superficie. Con una edad de apenas 6 millones de años, en su núcleo la fusión del hidrógeno ha finalizado y avanza en su evolución para convertirse en una supergigante roja, posteriormente explotar como supernova y, en última instancia, concluir como estrella de neutrones.
Alnitak B es también una estrella masiva de tipo espectral B2III y magnitud +3,72. Completa una vuelta alrededor del par interior cada 1.500 años.

Now all the organized religion believers can continue to believe to a tee the fairy tale that this Judeo-Christian tradition arose “independently” directly from “God”, but let me here dispel those delusional thoughts by shedding some light on the EGYPTIAN background to all such; the Egyptians of the Pharaonic eras considered the River Nile a MAP OR CELESTIAL PROJECTION OF THE HIGHER DIMENSIONS, a mirror in the ground if you will of the higher realities. Cherubim
What are they? Ezekiel describes Cherubim as a composite of man, ox, lion and eagle. Opinions vary as to what they represent, or even if they are Cherubim. The According to one theory, the man is Aquarius, the ox is Taurus, the lion is Leo and the eagle is Ophiuchus in Scorpio-claiming that the eagle is an ancient form of Ophiuchus. On the surface, it seems to make sense. Each of the constellations is three months apart as if they represent the four cardinal directions. It's bothersome that the writer doesn't explain his source of the claim that Ophiuchus is the eagle. Then there is the theory that based on the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh, Scorpio is the man. This boundary stone below left shows a scorpion with a man's body. Below right, Wikipedia suggests Cherubim where originally statues found in pairs protecting doorways. That would apply as a statue representation.

I suggest that all of the above theories are false. The evidence on this page argues for Cherubim composed of Taurus the bull, Leo the lion, Orion the man and Aquila the eagle. Genesis tells us that Cherubim were stationed "to guard the way to the Tree of Life." The evidence will demonstrate that the way is the Milky Way. Each is stationed at a strategic point on the Milky Way: beginning, end and two flanks. There is a fifth constellation, Perseus with his sword, who guards the middle.

Cherubim described
Genesis tells us Cherubim were placed in the Garden of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life (not the Tree of Life itself). God placed a flaming sword turning every way to guard the way to the tree of life. In other words, there is a path of some sort to the Tree of Life. We will return to the sword later.
24He drove out the man; and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. (Gen. 3:24)
In chapter one, Ezekiel describes "living creatures" as having the face of a man in the front, the face of a lion on the right, the face of an ox on the left, and the face of an eagle at the back. He doesn't explicitly call them Cherubim. We need more information.
The cloud describes the Milky Way. "A stormy wind out of the north" means a spirit from the north side of the Zodiac. Of course, terms like "burning coals of fire" and "flash of lightning" refer to the stars.
4As I looked, behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, and a great cloud, with brightness round about it, and fire flashing forth continually, and in the midst of the fire, as it were gleaming bronze.
5And from the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the form of men,
6but each had four faces, and each of them had four wings.
7Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.
8Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus:
9their wings touched one another; they went every one straight forward, without turning as they went.

The River of Heaven described
In the passage below, the river that interests us is the River Pishon. We recognize the Tigris and Euphrates. As for the River Gihon, the Zodiac has a second river in the southern hemisphere called the River Eridanus (not shown here).
10A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers.
11The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12and the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there.
13The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which flows around the whole land of Cush.
14And the name of the third river is Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. (Gen. 2:10-14)
3Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the house, when the man went in; and a cloud filled the inner court.
4And the glory of the LORD went up from the cherubim to the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the glory of the LORD. (Ezek. 10:3-4)
Ezekiel sees Cherubim by the river Chebar. Each has four faces and four wings. The firmament (celestial sphere) was over their heads. The best that I can make of the number four is that it represents four cardinal directions as the constellations rotate. The wheels symbolise the stars turning around the pole star.
15And the cherubim mounted up. These were the living creatures that I saw by the river Chebar.
16And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them.
17When they stood still, these stood still, and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in them. (Ezek. 10:15-17)
Ezekiel identifies the living creatures by the river Chebar as Cherubim.
20These were the living creatures that I saw underneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.
21Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings the semblance of human hands.
22And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the very faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. They went every one straight forward.
22Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of a firmament, shining like crystal, spread out above their heads.
23And under the firmament their wings were stretched out straight, one toward another; and each creature had two wings covering its body. (Ezek. 10:20-23)
Putting it alltogether
We have a map of the north celestial sphere below and a lot of descriptions from Genesis and Ezekiel. For the thesis to work, the descriptions should fit the map. I started with the assumption that the Milky Way is the river of heaven by coloring it blue. If it is a wrong assumption, the other pieces won't fit. The picture is inverted from the way we would see it from earth. The arc at the bottom represents the sun's ecliptic rising above us. Assume a viewing position in the middle on earth looking up towards the arc in the south.
Three descriptions fit the Milky Way. Genesis says the River Pishon flows out of Eden - so does the Milky Way in the sense that it extends beyond the Zodiac. Ezekiel tells us to look for Cherubim by the River Chebar. Genesis says the Cherubim and the flaming sword are in Eden to guard the way to the Tree of Life - the Milky Way. The flaming sword is on the east side where Genesis placed it.
From our viewer position, as Ezekiel described, we see the face of Orion in front of us, the eagle in the back, the lion to the right, and the ox to the left. Cherubim are guarding the river of heaven, or as Genesis put it, the way to the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life will be identified below.
Revelation calls the Milky Way the "water of life" that flows "from the throne of God." To see where the throne is, follow Orion from the picture above to the picture below. At the high end of the Milky Way, the sun rises over Orion's body, to where his head would be. The outline of Lepus below looks like a throne, and the outline of Gemini looks like a pharaoh's hat.
1Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Rev. 22:1-2)
So then, the Milky Way is the river to the Tree of Life. In other parlance, it is the cloud of heaven from where Jesus will come to whisk believers off to heaven. It is the path that takes the souls of the dead to meet God. Perseus with his sword guards the river in the middle. The Cherubim guard the river at each end and at the sides. The lion is on the right and the ox is on the left, both watching the river. Orion, the man, guards the river by the front and Aquila the eagle guards the back. When the sun is at the summer solstice over Orion's body, God is said to be on his throne.
16"O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, who art enthroned above the cherubim, thou art the God, thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. (Isa. 37:16)
Genesis places the Tree of Life in the midst of the garden. That would imply in the center at the pole. We can imagine the imaginary pole line as the trunk of the tree. The celestial sphere or firmament represents the branches. And, according to Revelation, the twelve constellations of the Zodiac are the fruit.
9And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Gen. 2:9)
 The brightest stars in these constellations are fairly bright. With #1 ranking as the brightest:

Days of Creation
This report explores the astrological significance of the six days of creation in Genesis 1:2-2.4a. First, some terms need to be defined.
In astrological time, the Age of Gemini began around 6380 BCE. (See Dating Creation) An astrological Great Year takes 25, 920 earth years. An Age, the astrological equivalent to a month takes 25,920/12 or 2160 earth years. A House, the astrological equivalent to a day, takes 2160/12 or 180 earth years.
The definition of a day of creation contains some double meanings. If 180 years was 180 days, it would be half a year, six zodiac houses, or the amount of time when the sun is above the equator. Similarly, in a real day the sun is above the horizon for about half the time. So in biblespeak six days symbolize the six zodiacal houses when the sun is above the equator. On the seventh day when God is said to rest, the sun went below the equator. A creation day cannot be defined scientifically because it is not based on reality.
By definition, the zero hour on the astrological clock begins on the day of the spring equinox when the sun crosses above the equator. So the Age of Gemini began when the sun entered the House of Gemini during the spring equinox. When it was believed that the sun rotated around earth, the sun seemed to spiral around earth at about a 23 degree angle from the equator. In the Figure 1 below, the sun drifts closer to Taurus with each yearly spiral. The two red lines define the path of the sun at the beginning and end of the Age of Gemini.
In very ancient times, the astrological element air was assigned to Gemini. As explained in Elements of Creation, God's Spirit is biblespeak for air. In Figure 1, below Gemini, the constellation Orion is also synonymous with Spirit. In Jesus' Ghost, Jesus calls his Spirit the Son of Man. This stems from the ancient belief that breathing bodies are brought to life by spirits.
So when Genesis 1:2 says the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters, it speaks of a time before the sun entered the Age of Gemini when there was nothing but a formless mass of water and a sea monster called Deep. Note: God's Spirit is said to have existed before God.
1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. (Gen 1:1-2)
In the Age of Aries, the spring equinox occurs in Aries and the summer solstice occurs in Gemini. When Jesus talks about the Son of Man sitting on his glorious throne, he is pointing to Orion when the sun is in Gemini. Gemini looks something like a crown, Orion is a man, and below Orion is Lepus which looks somewhat like a throne.
28"Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of man shall sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Matt. 19:28)

The pie chart above gives us a visual picture of how the six days of creation correspond to six houses of the zodiac between the two equinoxes.
First day-Gemini
On the first day when the sun rises above the equinox, He created light and separated it from darkness. And he saw that the light was good.
3And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.
4And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
5God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. (Gen.1:3-5)
God's Spirit does the creating. The light symbolizes his self created body and darkness was equated with evil. The analogy comes from the observation that a breathing body creates its own heat. The wind was believed to come from good or evil spirits, depending on how much light there was. Similarly, a person's breath was believed to be his spirit.
Second Day-Cancer
On the second day He created a firmament (metal shell) to separate the lower waters from the upper waters.
6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.
7And God made the firmament and separated the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And it was so.
8And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. (Gen.1:6-8)
To ancient minds earth looked like it was floating on water. The blue sky looks like water too. To account for the air space, they invented the idea of a metal shell.
Third Day-Leo
On the third day dry land appeared from the lower waters.
9And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so.
10God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. (Gen. 1:9-10)
Throughout the Bible, water symbolized birth and renewal. They imagined earth floating on water.
Earth gave forth vegetation, plants yielding seed and fruit trees bearing fruit, each according to its kind.
11And God said, Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth. And it was so.
12The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
13And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. (Gen. 1:11-13)
There is a faint trace from Mesopotamian religions that believed earth was the mother companion to the sun god. God claims that plants and trees came before their respective seeds and fruit.
Forth Day-Virgo
On the fourth day, He put the stars and planets in the sky to give us the signs and seasons for the days and years. The sun would rule the day and the moon would rule the night.
14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
15and let them be lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth. And it was so.
16And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth,
18to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. (Gen.1:14-19)
Terms like "signs" and "rule" come from an astrologer's lexicon when it was believed that heavenly bodies either ruled or gave signs to what the gods were thinking.
Fifth Day-Libra
On the fifth day, the waters brought forth swarms of living creatures. -Again, water was seen as a source of birth.
20And God said, Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the firmament of the heavens.
21So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Gen.1:20-21)
22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
23And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. (Gen.1:22-23)
Sixth Day-Scorpio
On the sixth day, earth gave birth to living creatures according to their kind like a mother gives birth to her children.
24And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds. And it was so.
25And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Gen.1:24-25)
Just as children bear resemblance to their parents, God created man in our image.
26Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Gen.1:26-27)
28And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. (Gen.1:28)
29And God said, Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food. And it was so.
31And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. (Gen.1:29-31)
Seventh Day
When God rested, the sun disappeared below the horizon.
1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.
3So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work which he had done in creation.
4These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created. (Gen.2:1-4a)

ATLANTIS: SETTING THE STAGE FOR UNDERSTANDING

SPHINX WATER WEATHERING
The most common argument that one will encounter when reading the above books and others like them has been commonly dubbed as the "smoking gun" of the case for Atlantis. We are hereby referring to the observable fact that the Great Sphinx of Egypt, situated directly next to the three main pyramids on the Gizeh plateau, shows unmistakable signs of having been weathered by water. And since we all know that Egypt is now a desert, the Sphinx simply must have been built at a time when a lush, green jungle climate with abundant rainfall was in existence.
And even the most outrageously conservative geological estimates for these conditions existing in Egypt date back to at least 7,000 BC, and most would agree that 9,000 BC is a far more realistic figure - and that is simply the most recent time that there was any rainfall at all. You must then also factor in exactly how long it would take for such advanced water weathering to occur - certainly not a few hundred years but potentially many thousands.
This intriguing fact was originally pointed out by R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz, a brilliant scholar and thorough researcher who completely redefined humanity’s understandings of ancient Egypt and Atlantis through the mid-1900’s. A majority of his work focuses on the importance of understanding how the Ancients used symbolism to convey ideas and philosophies, through such things as hieroglyphics and architectural creations. And even though his work is not widely known, its effects continue to trickle down into modern society.
Contemporary author John Anthony West re-discovered this information, which was rather casually mentioned in de Lubicz’s book The Temple of Man, and realized that it was clearly something that was testable and provable that had been almost miraculously overlooked in the past. And after many, many failed attempts to gain the support of myriad geologists, West was able to find cooperation with Robert Schoch, a young but well-respected expert in the field, having already written four published books on archeology by his late 20’s.
Schoch was reluctant to investigate the matter until he was certain that he had secured tenure at his academic organization, but by the beginning of the 1990’s he was ready to proceed. West and Schoch then finally traveled to Egypt and realized that the case was even more powerful than had been previously thought- there were overwhelmingly redundant signs of water weathering everywhere they looked, both on the Sphinx and nearby temples made of huge stone blocks as well. Indeed, every "null hypothesis" or skeptical denouncement of the water weathering argument has been artfully dodged by West and Schoch as it has arisen. One simply cannot argue with nature. The Sphinx was carved out of limestone, which is a conglomerate of sandy particles that have fused together into a solid. Wind erosion produces stratified, horizontally ribbed surfaces in limestone that look like the pages on the side of an old book, as certain layers of the conglomerate rock will be thinner and weaker and certain layers thicker and stronger. The thicker areas of limestone will resist the power of the wind more strongly and thus erode less, whereas the thinner layers will disappear more quickly, thus producing an uneven surface.
On the other hand, water erosion produces smooth, sensuous curves that cut directly down into the rock regardless of its thickness, forming rounded corners, snakelike rivulets and crevices. The signs of this erosion are so obvious that when West disguised the Sphinx out of the pictures with tape, all geologists who he showed the images to could agree that it was a picture of a rock outcrop with water erosion. However, once West removed the tape and showed them where the picture was from, they immediately grew agitated and did not want to discuss it any further, for simple fear of losing their reputation. Schoch was the first geologist to face the facts and stake his own reputation on the obvious.
And so, even if one was to throw away the multitudes of other solid evidence that exists in support of an advanced ancient civilization, we can still come back to the Sphinx. Once we know what we are looking for, we will realize that this is only one of the more obvious means of proving that the historical "Atlantean" culture had a precedent in fact - and we will gather more and more of these clues as the book progresses.
ROBERT BAUVAL AND THE "GIZA ALIGNMENT"
The next major argument from recent history that is invariably discussed with the "Atlantis question" comes from Robert Bauval. The three main Pyramids of Egypt at Giza are arranged in close proximity to each other, and Bauval was curious about the apparent lack of symmetry or geometry in their layout. He knew that there had to be some reason for why they were aligned in the way that is now seen, but try as he might to draw different diagrams or connect them together with straight lines, nothing seemed to fit. Inspiration finally struck as he looked up at the constellation of Orion, which has three main stars that form the middle section, referred to as the "belt."
He realized that the Pyramids of Giza were configured in precisely the same manner as the "belt" of Orion, and he quickly proved his point by overlaying the site maps of the Pyramids and the star maps of Orion’s belt on top of each other. Not only was each Pyramid in the proper position, but even the relative sizes and colors of the Pyramids were directly proportional to the magnitudes and colors of the stars in Orion’s belt. (The Cheops and Khefren pyramids were both originally covered in white limestone and are approximately the same size, like the two main stars in the belt, whereas the Menkaure pyramid is significantly smaller and was originally encased in red granite, like the dimmer and redder third star.)
As Bauval continued to investigate the matter, he realized that the architects of Giza had created a perfect duplication of the starry heavens on Earth - an idea that fit in perfectly with their concept of the connection between the physical world and the Duat, or spiritual world. All of the land, including the nearby Nile River, seemed to have been harmoniously factored into the design. In other words, the position of the Nile River relative to the Pyramids was identical to the position of the Milky Way relative to Orion’s belt in the starry night sky. Further Pyramids near Giza seemed to suggest that several other significant stars of Orion and the nearby Hyades constellation were immortalized in stone on the Earth as well.

By far, though, the most important aspect of Bauval’s entire argument was that the Giza complex was obviously built to be time-encoded, utilizing a natural, slow movement of the Earth known as precession. Later in the book we will be discussing the phenomenon of Earth’s precession quite extensively, which ultimately is nothing more than a long-term wobble in the Earth’s north-south axis that takes 25,920 years to complete.
The precession is observable here on Earth as an apparent shift of the positions of the stars in the sky by one degree every seventy-two years. What this means is that if you were to choose a set night each year such as the Equinox, when the Sun is perfectly aligned with the Earth’s equator, and measure the positions of all the stars in the sky for that night, after 72 years they will have drifted one degree out of alignment. Over a much longer period of time this creates an apparent circular motion in the heavens, which will gradually change the location of the North Star as well as all other constellations.
And so, by using a program known as Skyglobe, Bauval realized that the only "recent" time that the Milky Way would be perfectly aligned with the Nile River was roughly 12,500 years ago. At that time, and only at that time, (unless you were willing to go back to over 30,000 years ago,) one could stand on Earth and observe the Pyramids and Nile River at a distance, and watch the Nile connect directly into the Milky Way and the stars of Orion’s belt perfectly reflect the positions of the terrestrial pyramids. It was clear that Bauval had found a time capsule, an encoded matrix of information designed to show the exact time that the entire complex was first designed and planned.
SUPER-ADVANCED DRILLING
Another recent breakthrough in the argument for a lost civilization with high technology comes from Christopher Dunn, whose main expertise is in drilling. He has definitively proven that certain artifacts, including the empty coffin or "Granite Coffer" that is featured in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid, show signs of super-advanced drilling techniques that surpass anything now in our possession.
Dunn analyzed the Granite Coffer and found unmistakable evidence that indicated that it had been hollowed out with some form of tube-shaped drill that would core out a piece at a time. Even more amazingly, the spiraling patterns that were left behind in the granite showed that this drill was capable of boring through 1/10th of an inch of rock per second. However, granite is such a hard stone that even our most modern diamond-tipped drilling systems can do no better than 1/100th of an inch per second.
Another area of Dunn’s investigation which was also noted by Graham Hancock was the presence of carved vases and statues of diorite, which is dark-colored and considered to be one of the hardest forms of stone on earth. These vases have very long and thin necks, and are carved out from one single piece of diorite. The openings on some vases are not even large enough for a child’s finger to fit inside, and yet their inner contents were hollowed out perfectly. So now we must not only visualize a drill that puts our current designs to shame, but a drill that must have flexibility as well, in order to produce a tiny hole and then move around inside.
Dunn’s conclusion is that the Ancients must have been in possession of a drilling technique that far outstrips anything that we now possess. He goes on further to suggest that these ancient drills might have utilized ultrasonic sound somehow, thus working in a similar fashion to how the repetitive vibration of a jackhammer carves up concrete streets and sidewalks. But even then, he is at a loss to explain how they could have carved the diorite vases.
ANCIENT AIRCRAFT
Another relatively new and interesting development in the proof for a lost technological society was recently pointed out by frontier scientist Richard Hoagland’s research team The Enterprise Mission. Among other things in this article, Hoagland et al. discuss the recent findings of German scientists Dr. Algund Eeboom and Mr. Peter Belting. Their discoveries concern several small gold trinkets that were recovered from tombs of the Incas that date back thousands of years. These trinkets clearly depict structures that appear to be workable flying airplanes. 
In order to prove that these tiny models represented real airplanes, Eeboom and Belting collaborated together to design perfect schematic diagrams of the objects. They then expanded the proportions of these blueprints large enough to build workable scale models.
And to their amazement, they found that by simply putting a propeller at the front and stabilizers on the wings, the planes not only flew but were capable of performing complex aeronautical maneuvers via remote control. See the above link for more details and photographs of their prototype in action.
Hoagland et al. also point out the far more well-known fact that working bird-shaped gliders have been found within tombs in Egypt. Since these gliders also possess remarkable similarity to working airplanes and are capable of long flights when thrown, we must assume that the ancient Egyptians were also well aware of this technology. With the evidence now seen from the Incan tombs above, we may suppose that the bird gliders were simply children’s toy models of systems that were in much more common use at one time.
And so, if we are seeing workable airplane models being built as small gold statuettes and wooden models in two different ancient cultures separated by the Atlantic, we certainly must assume that a large-scale technological society with full-sized, working aircraft was in existence at one time as well. And after a hypothesized 12,500 years of time passing, we should expect that any such structures made of wood or metal would have long since deteriorated.
The Atlantean lore states that almost the entire concentration of that society was on an island in the Atlantic that subsided under ocean waters. And if the modern toys of our society were suddenly subjected to a vast cataclysm and promptly left unattended for 12,500 years, the savage action of tidal waves, land subsidence, rust, tornadoes, hurricanes, rising sea levels, glaciers, natural disasters and all other forms of growth and decay would most likely completely wipe out all remnants of things such as wooden houses, hollow buildings and skyscrapers of glass, and metallic automobiles, trains or airplanes.
So therefore, despite their toy-like appearance, these tiny statuettes could well have been considered very sacred objects - some of the sole remaining fragments of a culture destroyed in the seas of Time. These precious models were held onto and possibly copied over and reduplicated for thousands of years by the survived "Atlantean" cultures of the Incas and Egyptians before being buried in their tombs. These were the direct symbols of a lost "time of the Gods" when humankind had conquered the skies and could fly around at will, with the gifts of advanced technology.
ATLANTEAN LITERATURE
Contrary to what many might believe, even those who have been studying the subject for a long time, there do appear to be certain sources of literature that have survived from the time of Atlantis. The most informative material to provide an explanation for the airplane models that we discussed above comes from the Vedic scriptures of India. According to David Hatcher Childress in the book Vimana Aircraft of Ancient India and Atlantis,
The India of 15,000 years ago is sometimes known as the Rama Empire, a land that was contemporary with Atlantis. A huge wealth of texts still extant in India testify to the extremely advanced civilization that is said by these texts to go back over 26,000 years. Terrible wars and subsequent earth changes destroyed these civilizations, leaving only isolated pockets of civilization.
The devastating wars of the (Hindu scripture known as the) Ramayana and particularly of the Mahabrata are said to have been the culmination of the terrible wars of the last Kali Yuga, (or cosmic cycle of time.) The dating process is difficult, in that there is no exact way to date the yugas because there are cycles within cycles and yugas within yugas. A greater yuga cycle is said to last 6000 years while a smaller yuga cycle is only 360 years in the theory expounded by Dr. Kunwarlal Jain Vyas. His papers said that Rama belongs to the twenty-fourth small yuga cycle and that there is an interval of 71 cycles between Manu and Mahabrata period, which comes out to be 26,000 years.
Clearly, if the smaller Hindu cycle of time is 360 years and their scriptures have diligently counted at least 71 of them, we are dealing with a civilization that is far older than we are currently willing to acknowledge. More importantly, within the voluminous Vedic scriptures are repeated references to vimanas, or flying craft, as well as the usage of what appear to be devastating nuclear weapons. Indeed, some of the Vedic descriptions of the vimana so perfectly match our modern concept of an airplane that scholars invariably use this word when translating them into English.
To elaborate a bit further on this point, we will cite a quotation from Dr. Richard L. Thompson’s book Alien Identities. Thompson is a Cornell graduate whose Ph.D. is in mathematics, and who also has a deep interest in Vedic studies and UFOlogy.
His book actually stands fast as one of the few genuine breakthrough texts in UFOlogy today, where an author made significant new discoveries instead of simply rehashing second-hand accounts of events such as the purported crash at Roswell. And so, from Chapter 7, pgs. 260-261, we read the following, with underlines and comments that we inserted:
[The ancient author] Bhoja’s [text, called] Samarangana-sutradhara, states that the main material of a flying machine [or vimana’s] body is light wood, or laghu-daru. The craft has the shape of a large bird with a wing on each side. The motive force is provided by a fire-chamber with mercury placed over a flame. The power generated by the heated mercury, helped by the flapping of the wings by a rider inside, causes the machine to fly through the air. Since the craft was equipped with an engine, we can speculate that the flapping of the wings was intended to control the direction of flight rather than provide the motive power...
[Note: The idea of the "flapping of the wings" could simply be an error in translation by successive Vedic authors, initially referring to the pilot’s utilization of the ailerons and stabilizers to steer the plane as it flew.]
I would suggest that the vimanas described by Bhoja are much more similar to conventional airplanes than to UFOs. Thus they are made of ordinary materials like wood, they have wings, and they fly like birds…
However these vimanas were actually powered, it seems likely that they relied on some conventional mechanical method that extracted energy from burning fuel and used it to produce a flow of air over wings. We can contrast this with the flight characteristics of UFOs which don’t have wings, jets or propellers, and seem to fly in a manner that contradicts known physical principles.
The Vedic description of a possible nuclear blast, culled directly from page 677 of the transcription of the ancient Drona Parva text itself, is enough to give us chills even now. Despite its horrific contents, we have inserted it here to remind ourselves of what we have done to each other in our own past:
The valiant Adwatthaman, then staying resolutely on his (vimana) touched water and invoked the Agneya weapon, incapable of being resisted by the very Gods. Aiming at all his visible and invisible foes, the preceptor’s son, that Slayer of hostile heroes, inspired with mantras a blazing shaft of the effulgence of a smokeless fire and let it off on all sides, filled with rage. Dense showers of arrows then issued from it in the welkin. Endued with fiery flames those arrows encompassed Parthie on all sides. Meteors flashed down from the firmament. A thick gloom suddenly shrouded the (Pandava) host. All points of the compass also were enveloped by that darkness… Inauspicious winds began to blow. The Sun himself no longer gave any heat…
The very elements seemed to be perturbed… The Universe scorched with heats seemed to be in a fever. The elephants and other creatures of the land scorched by the energy of that weapon, ran in fright, breathing heavily and desirous of protection against that terrible force. The very water being heated, the creatures residing in that element, O Bharata, became exceedingly uneasy and seemed to burn…
Huge elephants burnt by that weapon, fell down on the Earth all around, uttering fierce cries loud as those of the clouds. Other huge elephants, scorched by that fire, ran hither and thither, roared aloud in fear, as if in the midst of a forest conflagration. The steeds, O King, and the cars also burnt by that weapon looked, O Sire, like the tops of trees burnt in a forest fire.
Indeed, if this is not a terrifying description of the usage of a nuclear device in anger, then how do we explain all the connections that are so easily seen? Is it for this reason that Robert Oppenheimer, one of the fathers of the nuclear bomb, was quoted as saying upon the first test of a modern prototype,
"This is not the first time that mankind has exploded a nuclear device?"
