INICIACIÓN A LOS NÚMEROS DE LA ARQUITECTURA O DE COMO DARLE FORMA A UN EDIFICIO
Los números pueden estar explicados matemáticamente en la “red” pero el problema que plantea el conocimiento de la arquitectura es: ¿cómo se le da forma con esos números a un edificio?. En arquitectura los números operan a partir de los polígonos estrellados formando concatenaciones, tal y como a continuación vamos a describir.
NÚMERO DE ORO - PENTÁGONO
El número de oro viene dado por la solución a la ecuación de segundo grado
x + x² = 1 x = 1+√5 /2 = 1,618033989
Propiedades 1/ 1,618 = 0,618 1,618... x 1,618... = 2,618...
Dado una circunferencia de radio 1 el lado del decágono inscrito en él es 0,618...
Dado un pentágono de lado 1, las diagonales de ese pentágono = 1,618...
La técnica con la que opera la arquitectura es la de las concatenaciones.
Una de ellas, la más usual, es la que presentamos en el dibujo. Si la circunferencia en color azul tiene R=1 el radio de la roja es R= 2,618, correspondiente a la que presentamos en “El vitruvio” de Leonardo da Vinci en la portada de este trabajo.

Así como el número de oro está asociado a la √5 el número de plata está asociado a √2 y presenta una serie de propiedades similares a las del número de oro.

Observa la concatenación de la circunferencia azul sobre la de rojo, a través del hexágono, directamente a la circunferencia azul. Si el radio de la circunferencia color azul es 1 el de la circunferencia en color rojo es 2 y el lado del triángulo inscrito es 2 x 1,732...

Sacred Geometry

Sacred geometry involves sacred universal patterns used in the design of everything in our reality, most often seen in sacred architecture and sacred art. The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical ratios, harmonics and proportion are also found in music, light, cosmology. This value system is seen as widespread even in prehistory, a cultural universal of the human condition.
It is considered foundational to building sacred structures such as temples, mosques, megaliths, monuments and churches; sacred spaces such as altars, temenoi and tabernacles; meeting places such as sacred groves, village greens and holy wells and the creation of religious art, iconography and using "divine" proportions. Alternatively, sacred geometry based arts may be ephemeral, such as visualization, sand painting and medicine wheels.
Sacred geometry may be understood as a worldview of pattern recognition, a complex system of religious symbols and structures involving space, time and form. According to this view the basic patterns of existence are perceived as sacred. By connecting with these, a believer contemplates the Great Mysteries, and the Great Design. By studying the nature of these patterns, forms and relationships and their connections, insight may be gained into the mysteries - the laws and lore of the Universe.
Music
The discovery of the relationship of geometry and mathematics to music within the Classical Period is attributed to Pythagoras, who found that a string stopped halfway along its length produced an octave, while a ratio of 3/2 produced a fifth interval and 4/3 produced a fourth. Pythagoreans believed that this gave music powers of healing, as it could "harmonize" the out-of-balance body, and this belief has been revived in modern times. Hans Jenny, a physician who pioneered the study of geometric figures formed by wave interactions and named that study cymatics, is often cited in this context. However, Dr. Jenny did not make healing claims for his work.
Even though Hans Jenny did pioneer cymatics in modern times, the study of geometric relationships to wave interaction (sound) obviously has much older roots (Pythagoras). A work that shows ancient peoples understanding of sacred geometry can be found in Scotland. In the Rosslyn Chapel, Thomas J. Mitchell, and his son, my friend Stuart Mitchell, have has found what he calls "frozen music". Apparently, there are 213 cubes with different symbols that are believed to have musical significance. After 27 years of study and research, Mitchell has found the correct pitches and tonality that matches each symbol on each cube, revealing harmonic and melodic progressions. He has fully discovered the "frozen music", which he has named the Rosslyn Motet, and is set to have it performed in the chapel on May 18, 2007, and June 1, 2007.
Cosmology
At least as late as Johannes Kepler (1571-1630), a belief in the geometric underpinnings of the cosmos persisted among scientists. Kepler explored the ratios of the planetary orbits, at first in two dimensions (having spotted that the ratio of the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn approximate to the in-circle and out-circle of an equilateral triangle). When this did not give him a neat enough outcome, he tried using the Platonic solids. In fact, planetary orbits can be related using two-dimensional geometric figures, but the figures do not occur in a particularly neat order. Even in his own lifetime (with less accurate data than we now possess) Kepler could see that the fit of the Platonic solids was imperfect. However, other geometric configurations are possible.
Natural Forms
Many forms observed in nature can be related to geometry (for sound reasons of resource optimization). For example, the chambered nautilus grows at a constant rate and so its shell forms a logarithmic spiral to accommodate that growth without changing shape. Also, honeybees construct hexagonal cells to hold their honey. These and other correspondences are seen by believers in sacred geometry to be further proof of the cosmic significance of geometric forms. But some scientists see such phenomena as the logical outcome of natural principles.
Art and Architecture
The golden ratio, geometric ratios, and geometric figures were often employed in the design of Egyptian, ancient Indian, Greek and Roman architecture. Medieval European cathedrals also incorporated symbolic geometry. Indian and Himalayan spiritual communities often constructed temples and fortifications on design plans of mandala and yantra. Contemporary Usage
A contemporary usage of the term sacred geometry describes New Age and occult assertions of a mathematical order to the intrinsic nature of the universe. Scientists see the same geometric and mathematical patterns as arising directly from natural principles. Some of the most prevalent traditional geometric forms ascribed to sacred geometry include the sine wave, the sphere, the vesica pisces, the 5 platonic solids, the torus (donut), the tesseract (4-dimensional cube), and the merkaba (2 oppositely oriented and interpenetrating tetrahedrons), and the golden spiral/ratio. Some believers of sacred geometry also see patterns in crop circles and in ancient architecture.

The golden ratio, also known as the god ratio, golden proportion, golden mean, golden section, golden number, divine proportion or sectio divina, is an irrational number, approximately 1.618 033 988 749 894 848, that possesses many interesting properties. Shapes proportioned according to the golden ratio have long been considered aesthetically pleasing in Western cultures, and the golden ratio is still used frequently in art and design, suggesting a natural balance between symmetry and asymmetry. The ancient Pythagoreans, who defined numbers as expressions of ratios (and not as units as is common today), believed that reality is numerical and that the golden ratio expressed an underlying truth about existence.

I have done extensive research on the beginnings of Washington, DC as my Burnes family owned much of the old downtown are of present-day Washington, DC. While conducting this research, I came across Francis Pope, one of the original owners of the land that became Washington, DC. Not only are we connected in that way, but Francis’s wife, Margaret Porter, is probably the sister of another ancestor, Johanna Porter, the second wife of John Neville, who came to America on The Ark and The Dove. I have to admit, the most disturbing connection upon doing the research for this article was finding this site. Extensive research by the author of the site gives me time to wander its content and read. At first other material was what led me to the site, but upon finding this…I was shocked.
Freemasons today don’t mind admitting that the Compass and Square symbol is also a disguise version of the Hexagram shape, if you put two horizontal lines across the points of the compass and square. So why did the Freemasons in the past, need to disguise its shape? Although in the last 200 years the Hexagram has gained reasonable respectability as the Star of David in Judaism, in pre-Christian times it was used by Pagan religions. So back in medieval times it would have been seen as a pagan symbol which would warranted a visit by the Inquisition, for anyone who dared to displayed it.
The Hexagram consists of 6 sides, 6 points and 6 smaller triangles, thus 666. Before Revelation in the Bible was written, 666 stood for the Triple Goddesses as 6 was a sacred number, and is still as holy number in Hinduism and Buddhism.
So the story of the Beast 666 in Book of Revelations was an attack on Goddess worship as 666 was also used to represent the Triple Babylonian Goddess Ishtar whom Revelation called, “The Great Whore Of Babylon”. Hex is also associated with Witchcraft as it is another name for a Witch’s spell and in German a Hexen is a Witch.

Durante siglos, antes de que se popularizara la denominación de "Estrella de David" o 'Magen David' (literalmente, "Escudo de David"), este emblema era llamado "Sello de Salomón" ('Khatam Suleiman' por los musulmanes y 'Jatam Sholomo' por los judíos).
Distintos textos —en especial el Talmud de Babilonia y algunos relatos musulmanes— difundieron la leyenda de que el bíblico rey Salomón poseía un anillo de propiedades mágicas mediante el cual podía controlar a los demonios o hablar con los animales. Dicha joya tenía grabado el símbolo del hexagrama, al que se le añadía el nombre secreto de Dios.

El experto en cábala Gershom Scholem estudió a fondo la simbología del Sello de Salomón y su función mágico-protectora tanto en el islam como en el judaísmo, y dedicó muchos años a rastrear sus orígenes.

Sin embargo, no fue hasta finales del siglo XIX, con los movimientos nacionalistas judíos, cuando adquirió el sentido que todos conocemos hoy. Sin embargo, sí hay algunas representaciones con carácter judío —muy escasas— de esta estrella en épocas más antiguas, como el llamado 'Códice de Leningrado'.
El uso mágico de este símbolo no termina aquí. También fue muy utilizado en la iconografía alquímica, de modo que se encuentra en numerosos trabajos sobre la "Gran Obra" como emblema del fuego y el agua.
Del mismo modo, la masonería también incluyó el hexagrama entre sus símbolos, por lo que no es extraño encontrarlo en algunos elementos decorativos de las logias, así como en objetos y obras de arte de carácter masónico. No en vano, el templo de Salomón es uno de los elementos más importantes dentro de la masonería.
Por otra parte, también es frecuente encontrar el Sello de Salomón en algunas construcciones cristianas medievales, bien como elemento decorativo o como símbolo de la sabiduría divina.
Un ejemplo magnífico lo podemos contemplar en la fachada de la catedral de Burgos, en la que se ven varias representaciones del símbolo, tanto en el rosetón principal como en distintos relieves escultóricos. Lo mismo sucede también en una de las fachadas de la catedral de Valencia.

The Great Pyramid has a base perimeter of 1007.7 yards, as measured by Sir Flinders Petrie in 1883 and confirmed by J.H. Cole in 1925.
The mean diameter of the Earth plus the mean diameter of the Moon is 10077 miles (99.99% accurate). 1007.7 yards and 10077 miles use the exact same digits, however these measurements are in different Imperial units and scales.
The polar diameter of the Earth plus the polar diameter of the Moon is 10000 x Φ kilometers (99.98% accurate). The Greek letter Φ (phi) represents the golden ratio, which is approximately 1.618033989…
The reason that there is a difference between the mean and polar diameters of the Earth is that the equator bulges out somewhat. In fact the Earth’s diameter bulges .33% beyond a perfect circle. The Earth orbits the Sun in an ellipse whose major axis bulges 3.3% beyond the diameter of a perfect circle.
The Great Pyramid’s slope angle of 51°51′ encodes the relationship of the size of the Earth to the size of the Moon. The pyramid elevation triangle in the diagram below cuts across the Earth’s equator and connects to the center of the Moon with matching angles of 51°51′.
Dividing the 4 edges of the Great Pyramid’s base perimeter by 4 gives us its mean edge length, which turns out to be 755.775 feet.
My analysis of the Great Pyramid’s elevation reveals the repeating digits 3333 inches and 555.5 feet. This can be discovered either by drawing a vesica piscis such that the height of the almond shape intersection between the circles matches the height of the pyramid, or by inscribing an equilateral triangle within its elevation. 555.5 feet equals 6666 inches.
The Washington Monument is 555.5 feet in height. Its geometry is derived from the sacred geometry of the Great Pyramid. That is what I showed in this image from Quantification (it’s larger in the book).
I discovered that the Washington Monument is 333,333 meters from the spire on the Bank of America Tower in New York. Right now the Bank of America Tower is the third tallest building in Manhattan (soon to be eclipsed by 432 Park Avenue). The bank tower features an obelisk-like metal mast.
The Washington Monument is also 33003300 feet from the foundation of Etemenanki in ancient Babylon. It’s not entirely clear to scholars but Etemananki might also be the Tower of Babel.
The Seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg France was designed to resemble the Tower of Babel, as painted by Pieter Bruegel.
Vigilant Citizen’s article confirms this connection with the official poster promoting the EU Parliament building. Its inverted pentacles are another story.
I measured the distance from the EU Parliament building to Thebes, Egypt and it is 3333 km. More specifically this exact distance is to the Colossoi of Memnon, two 720 ton statues at the ceremonial entrance to Amenhotep III’s temple built ~3333 years ago. I call this one “Seats of Power” in my book Quantification (page 57).
The hills behind Amenhotep III’s temple is the part of the Theban Necropolis known as Valley of the Kings, burial place of many a pharaoh. The Ancient Egyptians called the highest point in this valley ta dehent, or ‘The Peak’. The distance from ‘The Peak’ to Mount Everest is 3330 miles. Their shapes are even similar.
Immediately across the Nile is the Temple of Luxor. In 1833 the French moved one of the pair of obelisks at the entrance of this ancient Egyptian temple to the 86400 square meter La Place de la Concorde in Paris, 33.0° across the surface of the Earth.
The distance from the Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre Pyramid is 3333 meters. Do you suppose that is an accident or design?
The oldest obelisk in the world still stands in Heliopolis but sadly, that’s all that remains of this once great ancient city where Pythagoras was educated and where the Ennead came from. It’s fitting that the City of the Sun is located 3333 miles from the highest point in the most massive mountain range on Earth, considering that the Sun is 333000 times more massive than the Earth.
Incidentally, the distance from Mt Everest to Challenger Deep, the deepest part of the world’s oceans, is 6066 km.
A pair of obelisks from Heliopolis were moved to Alexandria in antiquity by the Romans and almost two thousand years later they became known as Cleopatra’s Needles. In the 19th century, the English moved one of these obelisks from the harbor of Alexandria and erected it on the Victoria embankment in central London. This obelisk was moved a distance of 3333.33 kilometers. If you doubt any of these facts, check them yourself in Google Earth or using other precise methods. Part of the magic is seeing it for yourself.
The partner of this obelisk is in Central Park in Manhattan. The tip of Manhattan is 3333 km from the Great Pyramid of Cholula in Mexico. Cholula is the largest monument ever built anywhere on Earth. The sprawling Great Pyramid of Cholula has a volume twice as large as the Great Pyramid of Giza but is only 66 meters high. Manhattan has been described with such superlatives as Alpha++ Global Power City, cultural and financial capital of the world, largest city in the United States and so on. It seems fitting to compare Manhattan to Cholula.
The Germans moved the original Ishtar gate to Berlin in the 1910s. Saddam Hussein built a replica at the original site in Babylon in the 1980s. The distance between these Ishtar gates is 3333 km.
La Place de la Nation in central Paris is 3333.33 kilometers from the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. This isn’t the distance from the gas station to the hairdressers, it is the distance between symbolic national monuments. It measures 33.33° across the surface of the Earth from the Dome of the Rock to Stonehenge.
A line from the Sun King’s Hall of Mirrors at Versailles to the White House bisects the symmetric French landscape garden.
These two power houses are exactly 3330.3 nautical miles apart.
Think about all of this. At first you might assume the threes are all part of an incredibly vast Freemasonic Conspiracy. The highest rank one can earn in the Scottish Rite is the 32nd degree. The 33rd degree is by invitation only.
