Oneness and Peace in Christ
11 "Don’t
forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called
“uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their
circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their
hearts. 12 In
those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from
citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the
covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without
God and without hope. 13 But
now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from
God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of
Christ.
14 For
Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles
into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the
wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He
did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and
regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in
himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together
as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death
on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.
17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near."
Since
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ put an end to the barriers and the law
that separated us, we should love each other and live in peace through
our faith.
Galatians 3:23-29 NLT states the following...
God’s Children through Faith
23 "Before
the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under
guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until
the way of faith was revealed.
24 Let
me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it
protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. 25 And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian.
26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. 28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And
now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham.
You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you."
Since
we have received such wonderful gifts from our Heavenly Father and
Jesus Christ our Savior, there should be no walls of separation between
us. God is merciful and he welcomes and loves all who come to him in
faith. And we should love all our brothers and sisters, and we will be
following God.
May God keep blessing you is my desire...
