Figure 134 is taken from plate xxiv., fig. 1, of Moor’s Hindu Pantheon.
It represents a subject often depicted by the Hindoos and the Greeks, viz., androgynism, the union of the male and female creators. The technical word is Arddha-Nari. The male on the right side bears the emblems of Siva or Mahadeva, the female on the left those of Parvati or Sacti. The bull and lioness are emblematic of the masculine and feminine powers. The mark on the temple indicates the union of the two; an aureole is seen around the head, as in modern pictures of saints. In this drawing the Ganges rises from the male, the idea being that the stream from Mahadeva is as copious and fertilising as that mighty river. The metaphor here depicted is common in the East, and is precisely the same as that quoted in Num. xxiv. 7, and also from some lost Hebrew book in John vii. 38. It will be noticed, that the Hindoos express androgyneity quite as conspicuously, but generally much less indelicately, than the Grecian artists.
In these gifts (which include a jackal’s and goat’s head vessels) from Late Crete to the Egyptian court pictured in the tomb of Rekhmire (in Evans Palace 2: 535) Bull, Lion/ess and Griffin stand out together.

I found the scholar who can help us continue to put together all that I have collected re: coincidence as evidence thus far.
This site is fantastic from my POV. How did I find it? I had a Thoth thought and did a search of the terms ‘orion’s belt double labrys’ and this was the number one return given.
Hence, perhaps, Snake (Winter), Bull (Spring), Lion/ess (Summer)—and Griffin in some supernatural, transcendent relation at a fourth cosmological point. In these gifts below (which include a jackal’s and goat’s head vessels) from Late Crete to the Egyptian court, pictured in the tomb of Rekhmire (in Evans Palace 2: 535), Bull, Lion/ess and Griffin stand out together, as they will in a much later form (Chapter 9).

Griffin has a Minoan double, the “Genius” or Demon (or, Spirit Being)—at once fantastic and fearsome, protective, predatory, deathless, heraldic, and linked to the sky and stars.
As Ernest and Relke show (2002: 66, 71, Fig. 7), Taweret and an almost-identical deity, “Hippo” were astral deities, “fierce and protective, with a composite of feared and affectionate associations.” They were closely related to Ursa Major, which (in Egypt likened to a bull’s foreleg) never set below the Minoans’ north horizon—and to Draco, the great composite snake, dragon, falcon and/or griffin, winding round the Pole Star. According to one early (though later) writer on astronomy, Eudoxus of Cnidus (a Minoan-affiliated Carian city), sailors called Ursa Minor stars “The Dragon’s Wing”: synecdoche for a stellar guide over the sea, which itself was equated with the cosmic void.
Wow – I AM in awe of what the author Dr. Jack Dempsey has put together. Finally I have found somebody who I can discuss the deeper meanings of my recovery with, somebody who knows more than me about the symbolism behind the Man, the Eagle, the Lion, and the Bull.

Cherubim: God’s Throne?

Abstract or metaphysical thinking was alien to the world of the ancient Near East. Philosophy as we know it was introduced by the Greeks in an unprecedented flowering in the fifth century B.C.E. Although ancient man understood concepts like omnipotence and omniscience, he did not express them in philosophical terms. Instead, he did so concretely. Man’s earliest attempts to express abstract, metaphysical concepts took a physical form.
One such form, I believe, is the composite mythical creature known as the cherub. The cherub symbolized not only omnipotence and omniscience but, as we shall see, a kind of completeness that included all else.
We can understand this from the Bible, but obviously it helps enormously to have physical evidence. We will focus here on one superb example of a cherub from the collection of the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem that is being published here for the first time.

The Riddle of the Four Faces: Solving an Ancient Mystery
Why are there four Gospels in the New Testament? Christians have been confronted with that question since the second century, as well as with the variances if not outright contradictions between the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. And, as historians are quick to observe, other Gospel versions besides the familiar ones were available to early believers, such as the mystically-tinged “Gospels” attributed to Peter and Thomas. The selection of four seems both arbitrary and problematic.
Or is it?
Christ in Majesty (or Christ in Glory, Latin Majestas Domini)[1] is the Western Christian image of Christ seated on a throne as ruler of the world, always seen frontally in the centre of the composition, and often flanked by other sacred figures, whose membership changes over time and according to the context.
The prophet Ezekiel describes cherubim as a tetrad of living creatures covered in eyes and resembling living fire, with each cherub having four faces: a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle.“Ezekiel 1:10″. They are said to have the stature and hands of a man, feet of a calf, and four wings each. Two of the wings extended upward, meeting above and sustaining the throne of God; while the other two stretched downward and covered the creatures themselves. In the Christian New Testament similar beings are mentioned in the fourth chapter of the Book of Revelation.

The griffin, griffon, or gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was also thought of as king of the creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions. In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine. Some have suggested that the word griffin is cognate with Cherub.

A Lamassu is a protective deity, often depicted with a bull or lion’s body, eagle’s wings, and human’s head.
In some writings, it is portrayed to represent a female deity.

Ultimately, the tetramorph is rooted in the Sumerian zodiac. The first written evidence that we possess of a science of the stars comes from Sumer. The first constellations were probably defined no later than the 3200 BCE, when the first cities were being built. Taurus the bull, Leo the lion, and Scorpius the scorpion were the first to be designated with Aquarius the water-carrier occurring later (1).

Though there has been some historical confusion as to which Face goes with which Gospel, there always has been broad agreement of the basic fact of the correspondence.
Both follow a 3 + 1 pattern just like the space-time manifold discussed in relation to the Fourth Day (Spoke 4, BW book pg 169).
The Four Faces divide into three that are earth-bound (Lion, Ox, Man) and one that flies in the heights of heaven (Eagle).
This is directly analogous to the pattern of the three synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke) and the one “heavenly Gospel” of John (Eagle). Furthermore, the order of the Gospels corresponds precisely with that of the Four Faces revealed by God in the parallel vision of Revelation 4:

This illumination is based on Revelation 4 and depicts Christ/the Lamb in the center surrounded by the four living creatures/evangelists depicted as winged beasts – Matthew/man at the top, Luke/ox on the right, John/eagle on the bottom, and Mark/lion on the right. The twenty-four elders mentioned in the passage in Revelation are in four rows outside of the circle, note in groups of 7, 7, 5, and 5.
There is an ancient pictorial representation of our friend the Sabbath-breaker in Gyffyn Church, near Conway. The roof of the chancel is divided into compartments, in four of which are the Evangelistic symbols, rudely, yet effectively painted. Besides these symbols is delineated in each compartment an orb of heaven. The sun, the moon, and two stars, are placed at the feet of the Angel, the Bull, the Lion, and the Eagle. The representation of the moon is as below; in the disk is the conventional man with his bundle of sticks, but without the dog. There is also a curious seal appended to a deed preserved in the Record Office,
dated the 9th year of Edward the Third (1335), bearing the man in the moon as its device. The deed is one of conveyance of a messuage, barn, and four acres of ground, in the parish of Kingston-on-Thames, from Walter de Grendesse, clerk, to Margaret his mother. On the seal we see the man carrying his sticks, and the moon surrounds him. There are also a couple of stars added, perhaps to show that he is in the sky. The legend on the seal reads:—
“Te Waltere docebo cur spinas phebo gero,”
which may be translated, “I will teach thee, Walter, why I carry thorns in the moon.”

In various Mithraic temples there have been found representations of a monstrous figure (according to Hieronymus a monstruosum portentum), generally with a lion’s head and a human body entwined by a snake. On none of these, however, is there an inscription to tell us precisely which deity is portrayed.
The lion-headed figure is the Time-god called Aion by the Greeks and Zervan in Persian literature. As far as the Persian texts are concerned, three different aspects of the Time-god must be distinguished.

Interesting thing about the Lion man of Hohlenstein is that it looks like a lioness, did you notice? What if the Sphinx of Giza was originally a lioness that could not be re-sculpted into a male lion with a mane so they decided to go with the Pharaoh Cheops instead?
And the interesting thing about the AION – Mithraic Deity of Eternal Time with a LION HEAD – MAN BODY is that there also existed a LION HEAD with a WOMAN’s BODY.
Tanit with a lion’s head
Long after the fall of Carthage, Tanit was still venerated in North Africa under the Latin name of Juno Caelestis, for her identification with the Roman goddess Juno.[10] The ancient Berber people of North Africa also adopted the Punic cult of Tanit. In Egyptian, her name means Land of Neith, Neith being a war goddess.
Her symbol, found on many ancient stone carvings, appears as a trapezium (trapezoid) closed by a horizontal line at the top and surmounted in the middle by a circle: the horizontal arm is often terminated either by two short upright lines at right angles to it or by hooks. Later, the trapezium is frequently replaced by an isosceles triangle.
The symbol is interpreted by Hvidberg-Hansen as a woman raising her hands. Hvidberg-Hansen (Danish professor of Semitic philology), notes that Tanit is sometimes depicted with a lion’s head, showing her warrior quality.
Why is the trapezium or trapezoid important?
And I must admit that the word TaNiT reminds me of TeNeT because of its associations to both the TaNiT Cross and the TeNeT Cross.

Even though this article is dated to 2003 it is relevant.
Intricate ivory carvings said to be the oldest known examples of figurative art have been uncovered in a cave in southwestern Germany. Researchers say that the finding could change our understanding of early man’s imaginative endeavours.
The artefacts – including a figurine depicting a Lowenmensch (‘lion man’) – have been carbon-dated to around 30,000 years ago, when some of the earliest known relatives of modern humans populated Europe.
Discovered last year by a team led by US archaeologist Nicholas Conard of the University of Tübingen in Germany, at the Hohle Fels cave near Ulm, the objects include figures depicting a horse and a bird.
Conard says he thinks that the figures are older than a previously discovered Lowenmensch, fragments of which were found by German archaeologists in 1939 near Vogelherd and dated to about the same time. Until now, those artefacts were accepted as the oldest examples of figurative art in the world. The newly discovered objects are older, Conard argues, as they were uncovered at a lower level in the cave floor’s sediments.
Fossil remains suggest that modern humans and Neanderthals both lived in Europe during this period. Conard reported that the sedimentary levels in which the ivory carvings were embedded did not include any Neanderthal fossils. But some archaeologists argue that it is possible that the much-maligned Neanderthals produced similar objects. “I don’t think that is as far-fetched as some people might think,” says Jeffrey Brantingham, an archaeologist at the University of California, Los Angeles. “These objects are pushing the markers and traits” of modern man “further back into time”, he says.
Two things to be noted in that article. We can now add the idEA of the soaring BIRD (sky) and (sea) HORSE-power to the (earthly) LION-king of beasts. And I found it fascinating and astonishing that many scholars doubt that Neanderthal man could be the author of this heART work.

And some scholars have suggested that the Neanderthals accessed the RIGHT hemisphere of the asymmetrical brain more than we moderns do, hence the great heART work left as evidence.
But something JUST occurred to me that by linking CARD X to the Fibonacci we can see a simple narrative unfolding between the main players.

Actually it would place the sphinx right into the center of the 13 x 13 square.
i.e. Everything in the vicinity of or above the ZERO POINT would comprise the 13 x 13 square. Everything in the vicinity of or below the ZERO POINT would contain the 1×1, 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, 5×5, and 8×8 squares.
