That's right: Sirius rises at 26 degrees south of east, or bearing 116 degrees, from the latitude of Paris, and this is the direction in which the Champs Elysées is aligned.

The Champs Elysées. The name is French for "Elysian Fields":

Quote:
Elysium or the Elysian Fields (Ancient Greek: Ἠλύσιον πεδίον, Ēlýsion pedíon) is a conception of the afterlife that evolved over time and was maintained by certain Greek religious and philosophical sects, and cults. Initially separate from the realm of Hades, admission was initially reserved for mortals related to the gods and other heroes. Later, it expanded to include those chosen by the gods, the righteous, and the heroic, where they would remain after death, to live a blessed and happy life, and indulging in whatever employment they had enjoyed in life.
Remember how the novel Arch of Triumph 1948 describes the Arc de Triomphe?: as the "huge gate to Hades"

Now, the star Sirius, which is the star associated with Isis, rises from Paris every day at 116 degrees, but it does so at a different time each day.

On August 31 each year, and on August 31 1997, Sirius rises about 5:30am. That means that if you had stood in the Champs Elysées and sighted along the avenue, before dawn on the morning that Diana died, you would see this sight: or at least, this is a version of what it would look like stitched together out of Google earth and Stellarium.

I got a bit more creative:

Then, a few minutes later, the moon rose, though it was almost imperceptible. Nevertheless it was there: so this was the scene in the skies to the east of Paris, literally as the official announcement of the death of Diana was made. Sirius rising through the Arc de Triomphe and along the Champs Elysées, and the moon further to the north, breaking the horizon within minutes. The moon, Diana, and Sirius, Isis, hovering over the city waking up to the news.

So how is Diana equal to Isis, or Sirius?

Diana was born with the sun conjunct Sirius. Her astrology chart for those of you who are happy with that kind of thing, is here. Her natal sun is at 9 degrees 40 minutes of Cancer, and Sirius is at 13 degrees 32 minutes of Cancer, which is within the orb of a conjunction.

So Diana's sun at birth is conjunct Sirius!

Now this is true for any one who is born on July 1, or a day or two either side. Like Charles Laughton. Anyone with a July 1 birthday is a fitting archetype, potentially, for Isis, as their sun, or individuality, aligns with that of Isis.

Diana certainly steps into her archetypes, no question of that, as the images above show, and plenty more to come on that.

There are enough clues on the table now to be able to bring some ideas into focus.

Elysian Fields. Gate to Hades. Arc de Triomphe sited on the "star", symbol of Isis. Champs Elysées aligned to the rising of Sirius=Isis. Paris as ancient temple of Isis. Isis who came to Paris on a boat. Diana, who came to Paris on a boat, whose name was changed to Osiris. The moon at it's lowest ebb, at it's darkest, at it's nadir. Death, as the moon is extinguished.

And then rebirth, as Sirius rises above the horizon, reborn, through the gates, the portals, of the Arch of Triumph.

This is a ritual, a theatrical presentation, a play that runs without a script yet everything, somehow, happens right on cue. Down to the minute. Yet it seems to resonate across the centuries, even the millennia...

June 18, 2024

July 25th has witnessed a series of pivotal events that have shaped the course of history across various fields.

From groundbreaking achievements in aviation and medical  science to significant political shifts and cultural moments, this day encapsulates a diverse array of historical milestones.

Join us as we explore some of the most notable occurrences on this date, delving into their impacts and legacies that continue to resonate today.

July 25th – On this Day in History

306 – Constantine I proclaimed Roman Emperor

On July 25, 306, Constantine the Great was declared Roman Emperor by his troops after the death of his father, Constantius Chlorus, in Eboracum (modern-day York, England).

This proclamation marked the beginning of Constantine’s reign, during which he would play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Roman Empire.

His subsequent policies and reforms, including the Edict of Milan in 313, which granted religious tolerance to Christians, had a lasting impact on both the empire and the Christian religion. Constantine’s rule laid the foundation for the Byzantine Empire and the spread of Christianity throughout Europe.

315 – Arch of Constantine inaugurated in Rome

The Arch of Constantine, one of Rome’s most famous monuments, was inaugurated on July 25, 315. Erected to commemorate Constantine I’s victory over Maxentius at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312, the arch stands near the Colosseum.

Arch of Constantine

It is a triumphal arch adorned with sculptures and reliefs that celebrate Constantine’s victory and his consolidation of power.

The arch not only served as a political symbol of Constantine’s authority but also showcased the artistic and architectural styles of the time, incorporating elements from earlier monuments to glorify the emperor’s achievements.

1261 – Constantinople recaptured by Nicaean forces, ending the Latin Empire

On July 25, 1261, forces from the Empire of Nicaea recaptured Constantinople, ending the Latin Empire established by the Fourth Crusade in 1204. This event marked the restoration of the Byzantine Empire under Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos.

The recapture of the city was a significant turning point, as it restored Byzantine control over its historic capital. However, the empire never fully recovered its former power and prestige, struggling against internal strife and external threats until its eventual fall to the Ottoman Turks in 1453.

1593 – Henry IV of France converted from Protestantism to Catholicism

On July 25, 1593, Henry IV of France converted from Protestantism to Catholicism, famously stating, “Paris is well worth a mass.” This pragmatic decision was made to secure his position as king and bring peace to a country torn apart by religious wars.

His conversion helped to end the French Wars of Religion, a series of conflicts between Catholics and Huguenots (French Protestants), and paved the way for the Edict of Nantes in 1598, which granted religious tolerance to Protestants.

Henry IV’s reign brought stability and prosperity to France and earned him the nickname “Good King Henry.”

1759 – French defeated at the Battle of Ticonderoga in the Seven Years’ War

On July 25, 1759, during the Seven Years’ War, British forces under General Jeffrey Amherst captured the French stronghold of Fort Carillon (later renamed Fort Ticonderoga) in present-day New York. This victory was part of a larger campaign to gain control over the strategic waterways of North America.

Battle of Ticonderoga

The fall of Ticonderoga marked a turning point in the war in favor of the British, who sought to expand their colonial territories at the expense of the French. The victory opened the way for further British advances into Canada and played a significant role in shaping the future of North America.

1797 – Horatio Nelson lost more than 300 men and his right arm during the failed conquest of Tenerife

On July 25, 1797, British Admiral Horatio Nelson led an attack on Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands during the French Revolutionary Wars. The expedition aimed to capture the strategic port, but it ended in failure.

During the battle, Nelson sustained a severe wound, resulting in the amputation of his right arm. Despite this setback, he displayed remarkable resilience and continued his naval career, eventually becoming one of Britain’s greatest naval heroes. This event highlighted his determination and contributed to his legendary status.

1814 – War of 1812: Battle of Lundy’s Lane, one of the bloodiest battles of the war, takes place

The Battle of Lundy’s Lane, one of the bloodiest battles of the War of 1812, took place on July 25, 1814, near Niagara Falls. American and British forces clashed in a fierce and indecisive engagement that lasted well into the night.

Despite high casualties on both sides, neither could claim a decisive victory. The battle demonstrated the intensity of the conflict along the Canadian-American border and underscored the strategic stalemate that characterized much of the war. It also highlighted the valor and resilience of both American and British troops.

1837 – First commercial use of an electric telegraph

On July 25, 1837, the first commercial use of an electric telegraph took place, marking a significant advancement in communication technology.

Developed by William Fothergill Cooke and Charles Wheatstone in England, the telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication by transmitting messages through electrical signals over wires.

This innovation laid the groundwork for the global telecommunications industry, transforming how information was shared and playing a crucial role in commerce, journalism, and personal communication.

1861 – Congress passed the Crittenden-Johnson Resolution, stating the Civil War was fought to preserve the Union, not to end slavery

On July 25, 1861, the United States Congress passed the Crittenden-Johnson Resolution, asserting that the ongoing Civil War was being fought to preserve the Union, not to interfere with slavery. This resolution aimed to maintain the loyalty of the border states and reassure Northerners who were concerned about the war’s purpose.

However, as the war progressed, the focus shifted increasingly towards the abolition of slavery, especially after the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. The resolution reflects the complex and evolving motivations behind the Union’s war effort.

1866 – Ulysses S. Grant became the first General of the Army

On July 25, 1866, Ulysses S. Grant was appointed as the first General of the Army, a newly created rank in the United States military.

Ulysses S Grant

This appointment recognized Grant’s leadership and success as a Union general during the Civil War, particularly his role in key victories at battles such as Vicksburg and Appomattox.

As General of the Army, Grant oversaw the post-war military and played a significant role in Reconstruction efforts. His leadership and strategic acumen contributed to his later election as the 18th President of the United States.

1898 – United States invades Puerto Rico during the Spanish-American War

On July 25, 1898, during the Spanish-American War, American forces led by General Nelson A. Miles invaded Puerto Rico. This military action was part of a larger campaign against Spanish colonial rule in the Caribbean and the Pacific. The invasion was relatively swift, facing limited resistance from Spanish troops.

The conflict resulted in the Treaty of  Paris, which ceded Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines to the United States, significantly expanding American influence and marking a turning point in U.S. imperialism.

1909 – Louis Blériot makes the first flight across the English Channel in a heavier-than-air machine

On July 25, 1909, French aviator Louis Blériot made history by becoming the first person to fly across the English Channel in a heavier-than-air aircraft. He piloted his Blériot XI monoplane from Calais, France, to Dover, England, covering the distance in about 37 minutes.

This achievement demonstrated the potential of aviation and marked a significant milestone in the development of powered flight. Blériot’s successful crossing captured the public’s imagination and paved the way for future advancements in aviation technology and commercial air travel.

1917 – Mata Hari sentenced to death for espionage

On July 25, 1917, the renowned dancer and courtesan Mata Hari was sentenced to death by a French military court for espionage during World War I.

Accused of spying for Germany, she was portrayed as a dangerous femme fatale, although the evidence against her was largely circumstantial.

Her trial and execution highlighted the paranoia and fear of espionage that pervaded wartime Europe. Mata Hari’s story has since become legendary, symbolizing the intrigue and moral complexities of espionage during the war.

1943 – Benito Mussolini dismissed as Italian premier; arrested

On July 25, 1943, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini was dismissed from power by King Victor Emmanuel III and subsequently arrested.

Benito Mussolini

This event marked a turning point in World War II, as Mussolini’s downfall signaled the collapse of the Fascist regime in Italy. It also led to Italy’s eventual surrender to the Allies.

The dismissal was influenced by military defeats and widespread dissatisfaction with Mussolini’s leadership. His arrest set the stage for a period of political turmoil in Italy and a shift in the balance of power in the war.

1956 – Suez Crisis: Egyptian President Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal

On July 25, 1956, Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal, previously controlled by British and French interests. This bold move aimed to fund the construction of the Aswan High Dam and assert Egypt’s sovereignty.

The nationalization led to the Suez Crisis, where Britain, France, and Israel launched a military intervention to regain control of the canal. The crisis highlighted the waning influence of European colonial powers and the rising importance of Middle Eastern geopolitics during the Cold War. It also marked a significant moment in the decolonization movement.

1965 – Bob Dylan controversially used electric instruments at the Newport Folk Festival

On July 25, 1965, Bob Dylan performed with an electric band at the Newport Folk Festival, marking a significant shift in his musical style. This performance was controversial, as Dylan was primarily known for his acoustic folk music.

The audience’s reaction was mixed, with some embracing the new sound and others feeling betrayed. This moment is often seen as a pivotal point in rock music history, symbolizing the merging of folk and rock genres and highlighting Dylan’s evolving artistry.

1978 – Birth of Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby

On July 25, 1978, Louise Brown, the world’s first baby conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF), was born in England. Her birth marked a groundbreaking achievement in reproductive technology, offering hope to millions of couples struggling with infertility.

The successful use of IVF opened new possibilities for assisted reproductive treatments and sparked discussions about the ethical and social implications of such technologies. Louise Brown’s birth is celebrated as a milestone in medical  science.

1984 – Cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya became the first woman to perform a spacewalk

On July 25, 1984, Soviet cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya became the first woman to perform a spacewalk. During her mission aboard the Salyut 7 space station, she conducted an extravehicular activity (EVA) that lasted nearly four hours.

Svetlana Savitskaya

This achievement not only highlighted her skills and bravery but also underscored the contributions of women in space exploration. Savitskaya’s spacewalk was a significant step forward for gender equality in the field of astronautics.

1994 – Israel and Jordan sign the Washington Declaration, formally ending the state of war

On July 25, 1994, Israel and Jordan signed the Washington Declaration, officially ending the state of war between the two nations. This agreement was a crucial step towards peace in the Middle East, facilitated by the United States.

It laid the groundwork for the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty later that year, fostering improved diplomatic and economic relations. The declaration represented a significant move towards regional stability and cooperation.

2000 – Air France Flight 4590 crashes on takeoff in  Paris, killing 113

On July 25, 2000, Air France Flight 4590, a Concorde supersonic airliner, crashed shortly after takeoff from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. All 109 passengers and crew on board, along with four people on the ground, were killed.

The crash was caused by a strip of metal left on the runway by another aircraft, which led to a tire explosion and subsequent fuel tank rupture. This tragic event marked the beginning of the end for the Concorde program, highlighting safety concerns and contributing to the aircraft’s eventual retirement in 2003.

Then next shock didn't make me spill my coffee because I was prepared for this one. Maybe you are too. How closely have you been following?

If you've gone and watched Part 7 of 9 to see for yourself the scene with the calendar, you may have noticed a very curious reference. Ravic is standing at the bar and he orders a pack of cigarettes, Chesterfields, from memory, but I may have that wrong. He orders them by brand is the point. A busboy then appears at the bar and makes a loud pointed order for another pack of cigarettes, for one of the customers. This time, the brand is:

Osiris cigarettes, with gold-tips.

I had to listen a few times to make sure I was hearing it right. Then I had to watch the previous reel to work out that it was Haake, the Nazi, who ordered the cigarettes from the busboy. He specified them: Osiris cigarettes, with gold tips.

Was there ever any such brand as Osiris cigarettes?

No. There never were any Osiris brand cigarettes, let alone gold-tipped ones. Google it and there's nothing.

Well, that's interesting isn't it. Osiris. Gold tipped. Osiris. Gold tipped.

Wait:

Quote:
The Luxor Obelisk (French: Obélisque de Louxor) is a 23 metres (75 ft) high Egyptian obelisk standing at the center of the Place de la Concorde in Paris,France. It was originally located at the entrance to Luxor Temple, in Egypt.
......
Missing its original pyramidion (believed stolen in the 6th century BC), the government of France added a gold-leafed pyramid cap to the top of the obelisk in 1998.
What, symbolically, does the obelisk represent? It's simple really:

Quote:
"Wherever you see an obelisk, you are looking at a representation of the Egyptian god Osiris's lost penis.|
So, it's a pretty obvious symbolic equation:

Osiris gold-tipped cigarettes = Obelisk of Luxor in Place de la Concorde.

When I sat down to read the book, this was one of the things I was eager to trace. Is the Osiris reference in the book as well?

It certainly is. But it's not a cigarette. It's the name of the brothel where various scenes in the book take place.

What has happened is that in the movie, all explicit references to the brothel subplot have been shifted to just below the surface. It must have been deemed too “delicate” for the sensitivities of the time, or something. So, the 1948 movie slightly re-arranges some of the plot points, to not make the brothel business quite so obvious. In doing so, the movie loses the reference to the Osiris brothel as it appears in the book.

So look what they have done! Rather than lose the reference, they have transmuted it into the “Osiris brand, gold -tipped cigarettes”. It is obvious now that it was critical that this key word, or trigger word, or plot word, be present in the movie. It is also obvious that they transferred the same symbolism. The Osiris brothel has become the Osiris cigarette/obelisk/penis, in other words nothing has really changed.

By the 1985 movie version, times have changed, and the brothel and all of it's plot relevance has been restored to the story. There is even a nice big neon sign over the entrance to the brothel: Osiris.

So this Osiris reference is a key trigger word which is embedded throughout the entire saga: book 1945 , movie 1948 and movie 1985.

From the Luxor Obeliskin the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysees stretches away up the slightly rising hill hill towards the Arc de Triomphe.

Next quote:

One of the recurring characters is a doctor, named Charles. Again, this name is changed in the 1948 movie. So that is two references to Charles in the book so far, both changed to other names in the film.

And next, another extraordinary scene. It begins with an exact time: 4am.

This is, of course, the time that Diana's death was pronounced. Four o'clock in the morning.

That really is an incredible thing. The direct association of the character Joan, with 4 oc'clock in the morning, death, and a sea of flowers. In Europe, the chrysanthemum is the flower of mourning.

It's as if all the elements are in place, and all that remains is for Joan to be explicitly identified as Diana.

We are getting closer.

And then it comes. Ravic and Joan are up late talking. And this exchange takes place:

Ravic actually calls Joan: Diana.

Then they decide to go for a holiday to Cannes, or Antibes....

ETIQUETA: MERIDIANO DE PARÍS

EL MERIDIANO DE PARÍS

EL MERIDIANO DE PARÍS

Orbaneja 18-08-07 437 (1)

Clearly, with a story like that it makes perfect sense that every major city wants to have its own version of Osiris’ manhood erected in city squares and plazas… Or not…
Whatever the myth says about Osiris, we can clearly conclude that ancient Egyptian influence and Osiris worship goes far and wide, even in our modern day and age. Now, lets look at another perhaps more modern obelisk…

The Washington Monument was opened on October  9th, 1888… there are those 8’s again! Incidentally that was exactly one month after Easter Island was annexed (Sept. 9th, 1888).

Tiber Creek was used as a channel while the city plan was being built. Given that the creek shares the same name as the river at the Vatican, and that the Vatican also lines up to 88.88, it is obvious that the designers of Washington D.C. had a connection to the Vatican.

       - 1,43  -  M  =   5 log 2,695  -  5

En remplaçant log  2,695 par sa valeur : (0,431)

        - 1,43  -  M  =    5 x 0,431  - 5

        - 1,43  -  M  =    2,153 - 5

                    -  M  =    2,153 - 5 +1,43

                    -  M  =    2,153 - 3,570

                    -  M  =  - 1,417

                              M  =    1,417 soit, en arrondissant :

                       MSirius   =   1,42

                                M (A) -  M (B)   =  - 2,5 log ( E(A) / E(B)  )

                   M (Sirius) -   M (Soleil)   =   - 2,5 log (E(Sirius) / E (Soleil) )

          0,78 - 4,72    = - 2,5 log (E (Sirius) / E (Soleil) )

                   - 3,94    = - 2,5 log (E (Sirius)  / E (Soleil) )

           -3,94 / - 2,5   =  log   (E (Sirius)  / E (Soleil) )

                     1,576   =  log  (E (Sirius)  / E (Soleil) )

                      101,576  = 10 log (E(Sirius) / E (Soleil)  )

En remplaçant 101,576 par sa valeur : 37,67

                       37,67    = 10 log (E(Sirius) / E (Soleil)  )

          (3,750 x 109 / 8,317 x 1016 )  = 2,325 x 10-2 / DP

          (3,750 x 109  / (8,317x 1016 x 2,325 x 10-2) ) = 1/DP

          (3,750 x109  / 1,933 x 1015)   =  1 / DP

           1,933 x 1015 / 3,750 x 109    =  DP

           1,933 x 1015-9 / 3,750            =  DP

            0,515 x 106        =   DP

           5,150 x 105        =   DP

SECRETS THAT SURROUND US

Placeholder Picture

The crisp autumn air saunters across the cobblestones of the courtyard lit by the warm glow from gas lamps. Nestled in a horseshoe of majestic Baroque buildings, the modern glass pyramid of the Musee´de Louvre seems both incongruous and yet oddly at home amid the splendour of the surrounding 17th century architecture. In one moment the ancient and the modern rub shoulders as if suggesting a continuity of some grand purpose. Indeed, to stand in front of this diamond of glass and steel is to experience first-hand the implementation of ageless knowledge, perpetuated through adepts in secret societies dating back to the Egyptian Mysteries schools, whose original purpose was— and remains— the continuous promulgation of a secret science of life that serves the highest principles of humanity.

The controversial pyramid was commissioned by then president François Mitterrand, a leader sympathetic to the ideals of Masonic orders, and designed by the Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei. Although Pei stated publicly that his pyramid had nothing to do with stone pyramids of old, of all the pyramids in the world he could have used for inspiration, including their myriad angles of inclination, he chose to incline his magnum opus to within a degree of the angle used to construct the Great Pyramid of Giza: an extraordinary coincidence for a man who claimed his design had been inspired by a trellis in the nearby Jardin des Tuilleries.

Such ‘coincidences’ are the stuff of conspiracies; an excuse to point accusatory fingers at secret societies. In this case such claims are justifiable, although the motive is far from sinister. The Great Pyramid of Giza— as well as other identical structures— were built primarily by adepts who learned a specific type of craft from ancient Mysteries Schools. The keepers of an unspecified, arcane knowledge, these societies were careful with whom they shared such information lest it be misused against people or planet. The strategically-chosen slope angle of the Great Pyramid is a good example of the craft they taught.

One of the reasons why this most perfect of structures generates such a profound effect is due in part to its heptagonal angle, for it amplifies the energy of the most mystical of all sacred geometric shapes in the corpus sanctum of esoteric societies. The pyramid’s seven-fold geometry is an allegory of the prime notes of music and the visible colours of light, and thus it is associated with the creative forces of nature. Of all the sacred geometries it is the only one whose angles cannot be bisected to a whole number, so, like the nature of the soul and the origin of the universe, its properties are transcendental, it represents the search for enlightenment. It’s values are also bound within the human body. So, to work with a structure that incorporates this geometry is to magnify the potential of the creative power inside the human being. How strange, then, that these principles should find themselves embodied in this fabulous glass diamond now resting in the center of modern Paris, in the Cour Napoleon, whose namesake once spent a night in the original pyramid in Giza only to run out in the morning, berserk, and raving like a madman. Clearly that pyramid did not agree with Napoleon’s personal ideals.

To people who devote themselves to secret knowledge, such things are not so strange. The kind of gnosis learned in secret esoteric societies surrounds our everyday life to a far greater degree than people are aware. In Paris, the site of the Musee´ de Louvre is itself part of a city-wide plan that incorporates unusual deviations from standard building practice; many of its streets and monuments are also astronomically aligned. It is this perception of a ‘Great Plan’ at work that gives the centre of Paris its inherent air of connection to something far more ethereal and beyond the mundane world.

Just as with London, Washington, and the original Egyptian capital Thebes, Paris is the culmination of centuries of Freemasonic input which seeks to create the ideal ‘City of Light’ through the practical application of biogeometry (that is ‘living geometry’) and the manipulation of subtle terrestrial forces to mirror the celestial order above the city. The idea that the application of specific angles and astronomical alignments are capable of bestowing positive benefits on people and place was precisely the kind of information once zealously guarded and taught to all initiates in Mysteries schools. One of the very best examples of this living art lies in the ground plan of the temple complex at Thebes — today the twin sanctuaries of Luxor-Karnak. Among other things, this complex is aligned to the winter solstice, the time of year when the darkness of the night begins to be supplanted by the increasing light of the day. Another alignment references the heliacal rising of Sirius on June 16. Sirius was seen as the source of all ancient wisdom and the embodiment of Isis, the goddess of the sky. To reference a temple to Sirius is to imbue the temple and its pilgrims with the properties associated with that star.

That such knowledge has spread far from its Egyptian center is seen in a temple dedicated to Isis that once stood on the banks of the Seine, and which today serves as the foundation of the abbey of St. Germain des Pres, just to the south of the Louvre. This homage to the continuation of the cult of Isis even lent the name to the city which sprang from its environs, Parisis. Such solar or sky symbology was applied by esoteric societies even further north, in Britain, possibly by its local secret society, the Druids; its most famous of Britain’s rivers, the Thames, was originally consecrated to the Babylonian solar god Tammuz. It was also named the Isis, and the source of the Thames is today marked on maps as such.

The oldest and main axis of Paris is marked at pivotal sections by an obelisk transported from the temple of Luxor in the Place de Concorde, and by Pei’s pyramid. A second, deviated axis aligns from a strategic location in the Louvre, through the Arc de Triumphe, and along a majestic avenue named Champs-Elyseés. It is this path that gives away the purpose behind the ‘great plan’ upon which this city was designed. The so-called Fields of Elysium are a mythical location where favoured heroes are conveyed by the gods towards a place of the blessed, a state of happiness. Every August 6 the sun sets along the Champs Elyse´es, its orange orb observed through the last of Mitterrand’s grand commissions for Paris, a hollow cube named the Grande Arche. The alignment commemorates the Transfiguration of Christ, a powerful symbol of that establishes Man as a solar hero. Furthermore, the Grande Arche is itself deviated by 32 degrees to match the sunset on June 24— John the Baptist’s Day as well as the Masonic New Year; it is also the day after the Summer solstice, the moment when the light is at its peak; esoterically this moment represents the triumph of light over dark.

Coincidences abound, and yet all of them reference important moments in the machinery of the heavens that are enshrined in the literature of secret societies. The purpose behind such knowledge was to link people with Universal mechanics in a way that enhanced their well-being. That secret societies were able to maintain continuity of information is evidenced by the way that the Paris alignments precisely mirror the very same axis planned into the design of the city of Thebes, a ‘city of the Sun’. Masonic Paris, then, is a case of sacred architecture fulfilling an ancient plan, for 350 years prior to the inauguration of the Louvre pyramid the Hermetic philosopher Tommaso Campanella had announced that in Paris the world would see the reincarnation of the Egyptian City of the Sun.

These practices are still enshrined in the Freemasonic Lodges, a number of which maintain a strict oath to the spirit of ancient codes of practice and the utmost protection of secret knowledge. This very misunderstood society traces its origin through the Knights Templars— the Knights of the Temple of Solomon— to the Egyptian city of Iunnu, the “city of Light”, also called Heliopolis by the Greeks. The history of [Free] Masonry has much to do with the art of building in a physical as well as figurative sense. Well before the libraries at Alexandria, Iunnu was the highest center of learning in the ancient world, preserving the wisdom once practiced and adopted through in temples along the Nile and dating all the way back to Zep Tepi, the ‘First Time’, the post-diluvial age of the gods. After the Romans drove the gnostic schools of Egypt underground, secret societies were formed to maintain the teachings from interference by people who would misuse the information for personal gain and the subjugation of entire societies. Over the centuries the keepers of the Light have gone by various guises— Cathars, Albigencians, Bogomils, Essenes, Priory of Sion, Christian Gnostics, Rosicrucians— and whenever political times have allowed, such societies have shown their hand, and by this method the knowledge has been promulgated through Europe, resurfacing in Paris in time for the French Revolution. In fact many of the figures of the French uprising against a despot king were high-ranking Freemasons, as were the main figures who were inspired to create a new state called America.

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN GEODESY - PART II

The great circle alignment from Giza to Alexandria has an azimuth of 51.85° north of due west from Giza (the same angle as the slope of the Great Pyramid). Extended beyond Alexandria, this great circle also crosses over Delphi, Rollright and Newgrange, as well as the city of London.

The azimuth of a great circle alignment from Dendera to Paris is also 51.85° north of due west.

Map image - Roger Hedin

Dendera was dedicated to Isis/Sirius. The ancient Egyptian year began on the date of the heliacal rising of Sirius in mid July. The helical rising of Sirius heralded the annual inundation of the Nile that was essential to the welfare of ancient Egypt. The axis of the temple of Isis at Dendera was aligned 20° south of due east, pointing directly at the rising point of Sirius from the latitude of Dendera.

Robert Bauval describes a number of connections between Isis/Sirius and Paris in Talisman (2004). Isis is shown riding on a boat in many ancient Egyptian drawings and carvings. At the direction of Napoleon, Sirius and a statue of Isis were added to the coat of arms for Paris shown below.

During the French revolution, a statue of Isis known as the Fountain of Regeneration was constructed on the former site of the Bastille. The engraving below commemorated this statue.

Fountain of Regeneration Engraving

The Elysian Fields is described as a place of eternal salvation in the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead. Named after the Elysian Fields, the Champs Elysees is the main axis of Paris. The names Elysian and Elysees both suggest an association with Isis. The photograph below is facing southeast. The Arc de Triumphe is visible in the background. Beyond the Arc de Triumphe is the Louvre. The azimuth of the Champs Elysees is 26° south of due east, pointing directly at the rising point of Sirius/Isis from the latitude of Paris.

The termination point of the Champs Elysees to the northwest is the Grande Arche, in the foreground of the picture above. The axis of the Grande Arche is offset 6.33° south of the axis of the Champs Elysees. With an azimuth of just over 32° south of due east, the azimuth of the axis of the Grande Arche is the same as the azimuth of the great circle alignment from Paris to Dendera.

The Grande Arche is a nearly perfect cube with a height of 110 meters, a width of 108 meters and a depth of 112 meters. It is often described as a cube with side lengths of 110 meters. This is equal to 210 ancient Egyptian cubits:

110/210 = .5238

.5238 meters is a precise measure of the ancient Egyptian cubit, equating to 20.6222 inches, well within the ± .005 inches in Petrie's 20.62 inch measure of the ancient Egyptian cubit. Instead of the usual comparisons between the cubit and the meter of .52375/1 or .524/1, the best comparative measure may be the simple fraction of 11/21 that is suggested by the Grande Arche.

The sides of the Grande Arche are divided into 5 x 5 large panels and within each large panel are 7 x 7 smaller panels. Side lengths of 110 meters suggest lengths of 22 meters for the sides of the large panels with lengths of 22/7 meters for the sides of the smaller panels. The fraction 22/7 equals 3.1428, an accurate expression of π that is also found in the dimensions of the Great Pyramid. Side lengths of 210 cubits in the Grande Arche suggest lengths of 42 cubits for the sides of the large panels and 6 cubits for the sides of the smaller panels. This also shows that the relationship between the meter and the cubit is 6/π, using the measure of 22/7 for π:

21/11 = 6/π

22/7 x 21/11 = 6

The northern pyramid at Dashur, known as the Red Pyramid, was the first true (smooth sided) pyramid built in Egypt and it was the last pyramid built prior to construction of the Great Pyramid. The baselengths of the Red Pyramid are 420 cubits (220 meters) long, 20x multiples of 21/11.

One of the oldest stone circles in England is at Rollright. The diameter of the Rollright circle is 31.4 meters, an accurate expression of π times 10 meters. Given the 6/π relationship between the meter and the cubit, the diameter of the Rollright circle is also 60 ancient Egyptian cubits.
