Explicación: Bienvenidos al solsticio de diciembre, un día en que el mundo no se acaba … ni siquiera según el calendario maya. El día del solsticio de diciembre es la noche más larga del año en el hemisferio Norte y la más corta en el hemisferio Sur.
Para celebrarlo, mira esta espectacular fotografía de Orion elevándose sobre la pirámide central de Chichén Itzá, uno de los grandes centros mayas de la península de Yucatán. Conocida también como el Templo de Kukulkán, tiene 30 metros de altura y 55 metros de ancho en la base. Está construida mediante una serie de terrazas cuadradas por la civilización precolombina entre los siglos IX y XII.
La estructura se puede utilizar como un calendario y se caracteriza por las alineaciones astronómicas . De hecho, los mayas eran unos consumados astrónomos y matemáticos. Usaban con precisión los movimientos cíclicos de las estrellas, del Sol, de la Luna y los planetas para medir el tiempo y elaborar calendarios.
Brillan a través de las nubes en esta escena nocturna, las estrellas de la constelación de Orión, El Cazador, representaban una tortuga en el cielo maya. Tak sáamal.

Los judíos celebran la Pascua para conmemorar su escape del cautiverio de manos de los egipcios (aproximadamente en 1250 a. C.).
El pésaj judío se origina en la historia contada en la Torá, en la que Yahvé mató a todos los primogénitos de los egipcios. Los sacerdotes judíos se acogen fielmente a lo exigido por la Tora. El pan no fermentado recuerda la salida apresurada en que faltó tiempo para hacer fermentar el pan (18 minutos). Esto debe cumplirse durante los 7 días anteriores a la Pascua.

Think of a large tree, we only see half of the tree. We look in amazement and wonderment at the life that is harboured in its branches and the incredible atmospheric processing factory the tree is. We forget that below us is the other half of the tree, its roots providing a harbour for an entire ecosystem, and the roots are an enormous chemical processing plant.   Duir - Double-ended oak treeThis picture comes from an ancient druid grove in Derby and shows an oak tree (Duir) with its branches and roots entwined to make the circle of life. In the 90s an ancient oak tree was uncovered as the sea went very far out on the Norfolk coast. It had been buried upside-down within a circle of posts, a woodhenge. Time Team built a replica of it that was most impressive and gave you a strong sense of what the place must have been about. I have often wondered what is beneath Silbury Hill, not just what is in it. The Nile as Tree of Life: but which is the root and which is the branch? What is up and what is down? For the Ancients, The Med was the bottom of Egypt, South was at the top. The Delta is the roots.  Black is white. Above is below. Top is down.

Obviously, St. George cannot be the Archangel, Michael, for he lived in the 3rd century. Revelation which mentioned Michael fighting with the Devil in heaven probably represents the angels of God fighting against evil; good fighting against evil, and evil was defeated and thrown onto the Earth. Michael was already in existence since Daniel's time, 2,500 years ago:

Draco, or the Dragon, is a constellation in the northern hemisphere. It was first charted by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century. In ancient Egypt, the constellation was called Tawaret, after the vigilant, protective goddess of the northern sky, whose body was depicted as part-human, part-lioness, part-crocodile and part-hippopotamus.
In Greek mythology, the constellation Draco was identified with the dragon Ladon, which had a hundred heads and was in charge of guarding the Garden of the Hesperides, the orchard of the goddess Hera where golden apples that gave immortality grew. When Hercules was given the task to steal the apples, he enchanted Ladon with music and put him to sleep before stealing the apples. Hera later placed the dragon among the stars.
Draco is also associated with the dragon that guarded the Golden Fleece and was killed by Jason, as well as with the dragon killed by the Phoenician prince Cadmus before he founded the city of Thebes in Boeotia in Greece. In early Christian mythology, Draco was identified with the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden.
The constellation Draco occupies an area of 1083 square degrees and contains five stars with known planets. It can be seen at latitudes between +90° and -15° and is best visible at 9 p.m. during the month of July. For many observers in the northern hemisphere, Draco never sets below the horizon. The brightest star in the constellation is [3438] gamma Draconis or Eltanin ("the serpent"), an orange giant 148 light-years distant. It lies close to the point directly over London and is sometimes called the "zenith star." [3445] alpha Draconis or Thuban ("the basilisk") is not a very conspicuous star in comparison.
