Here's a few things to help you get started here at A&S.


Daily Greetings & Checking In - Leave a message here to say hello or whatever is on your mind.

Just Lurking? - You can let us know you were here by copying and pasting a smiley. No conversation is necessary.

Message Editor Quirk - Familiarize yourself with this hiccup of the message editor. It will save you time.

Message Editor Translation - Until I am able to create a tutorial with some screenshots, you can refer to this page to translate the text of the message editor buttons into English. Once you get used to the buttons, you won`t even need it.

Insert Flash Object - Learn how to insert a shockwave flash object into a message. They can be really fun. I use this for the Smiley Central Talking Smileys, Webfetti Games, and other flash objects.

MESSAGE BOARDS

General - This is the main message board for everything other than mailbox, banner swap, etc.  If you want to post a message and you don`t know where to put it, put it here.

Banner Swap - Share your group with A&S members (and other visitors).  Instructions for adding your banner to the board are here.

Post Office - Create a mailbox for yourself so other members can leave you a message.  Start a new thread for your mailbox. You can delete and/or re-add your mailbox anytime.

Backgrounds - Use these "table" backgrounds to decorate your messages. I only have a few on the board right now as a sample. I will add more as I can, and you are encouraged to add any that you have to share with the group.  Make sure that anything you add is copy and pasteable within the group.

Fun & Jokes - If you`re into telling or reading jokes, or you find something fun to share, you can put it here.

Smiley Central - This is where I will be uploading smileys from Smiley Central and other sources.  I am adding searchable words to the Subject to make them easier to find, and I will also have them indexed in the Menu.  If you are looking for something specific that I don`t have indexed, please let me know on the General board, and I will see what I can find for you.

If you have smileys to share, you can start a new thread.  If you are sharing a theme of smileys (like summer or winter, etc.), then please put the word "summer" in the Subject.  You can share a miscellaneous grouping of smileys, but they would not be as easy to find in a search since they wouldn`t have a "key" word in the Subject.  Please do a search first to see if the theme that you want to share already has a thread, and then add your smileys there.

Webfetti Glitter & Graphics - Glitter graphics and widgets.  The widgets are shockwave flash games, countdown clocks, clocks, and eCards.

Motitags - These are "cutesy" animations and come in many themes and emotions indexed here.  But there is also a classic set of Smiley Central smileys.

View All Message Boards: There is a decorative divider in the menu just above General Messages.  Click that to see all message boards in a single view.
