Timber I cannot find a link to the Three Times a  Gradient Text tutorial on my printed copy it shows a  "here" link but on the site it does not show one...

Daphne, Three Times A Gradient Text is one of my tutorials that hasn't been moved from my other site.  Until I have the time to move it, you may want to check out the PSP Lessons: Editing Text and see if you can work through how to edit vector text.

I think it is correct... but I will wait for you to let me know..  getting late and time for bed.. thanks again.

The only thing that stands out to me is that you don't have the white outline around your letters.  Step #8 creates the white outline on a layer named "White".

And you could also crop your tag so it doesn't have so much extra canvas.

Other than that, very good results!

Hi Timber,   Yes I noticed the missing white border myself after posting it ...lol    so will do it again .... practice makes perfect...lol   and I still have other to try yet   have a great day 

Well I am really pulling my hair out trying to figue out how to edit the text so as to do  the white outline... nothing is working  ....  I really do need your help here.. I tried to google for a tut from corel but nothing was making sense..to apply to this... as you can see I have never done anything with vector text..

Did you check out the PSP Lessons: Editing Text?  That information came from the Help menu in my PSP.  You could also go to your Help menu in whichever version of PSP you're using and look up how to edit text.

See if you get any headway that way .

Well i still am just guessing wehn I try to make this tag with the edit vecor ... and of course still not getting the white border...I looked in my help in psp 2019.. but not sure if it will help..

Omigoodness , I didn't realize you were using PSP2019.  I have only seen pictures of the newer versions of PSP, so I have no idea how they work.  I'll give you instructions for how PSP8 works and hopefully your version will be the same or similar.

This is a screenshot of the layer palette at step #8 just after duplicating the Outline layer and renaming it "White".  As you can see in the screenshot, I have both of my vector layers expanded.  To expand a vector layer, click the + symbol next to the layer (this will expose the sub-layers).

To edit the White layer you need to click the sub-layer to highlight it (the sub-layer will appear in bold type when it's selected).  Once the sub-layer is selected, right-click and choose Edit Text from the flyout menu.  When you do this the Text Entry box will open and you can change the materials and other text settings.

Crossing my fingers that PSP2019 has the Edit Text option LOL.

For your Welcome to the Group results just above, it looks like you omitted step #22 which is to select the black area and delete it.  Perhaps you thought you were clicking in a black area and you weren't.  That blackness is not supposed to be there, unless you like it, of course .

Thanks for this information and I still do have my old psp8 so I will do it in there as well as check out my psp 2019...  I have had so much trouble with my psp over the years I am sure that once they bring out a new version it then makes my old  one's not work well... my psp 2019  will just  stall when I come to use the selections or the text tool or the resize tool, and I just have to wait for it to work again... it can be very frustrating...

Hi Timber ... I have just got home after a day out with relatives for Christmas lunch , which of course here being so hot is always a lot of salads and chicken and cold ham .. a lovely day...

Anyway i gave the Halftone tut another try using only my psp 8 and it worked , although somehow I lost the colour on the halftone effects ... so still need to perfect it ...lol but at least I am getting the hang of the Edit vector text
