Heya, Karla... Thank you for sharing all the wonderful goodies you have at your website! You linked to some backgrounds, Halloween (Specials), that I wanted to save to my computer, but they are stored in your Photobucket account and I'm not able to save them. When I save the image and then look at it on my computer it's blank. Can you do me a favor and log into your Photobucket account and go to your account settings, Privacy tab, and see if you have the box for "Allow others to copy, download and/or print my photos & videos" ticked or not? I think that box has to be ticked to allow people to download your images. It's possible that the problem is on my end, but I will wait to hear from you to see if anyone else has any trouble saving images from your Pb account. Thanks, Karla! |

Oh no! Grrrr, PB has finally hit us good. I had sent them an e-mail a few days ago because it was not letting me access my albums. It let me login and all but they try to force the upgrade on users :-/ It told me to verify my e-mail and whatnot and the flash/java window never went away and accessing anything was impossible (could not click out of it).
If you have an e-mail I can reach you at, I can send you the bgs directly or I can just post them in the group :)

Thanks for these cool backgrounds, Karla!
I wasn't able to save them by right clicking on them either. I did the rt click and view img info and copied the location info and was able to get them like that.
Timber, I have been having trouble saving images from Photobucket off and on for a while. I even have a hard time saving your dolls from your Dolliewald bucket. It is not constant, but I can save one or two and then the next might be blank.
I thought maybe if I was logged into PB it might help, and I think it seems better when I am logged in. I don't know what is going on.

Yay, you found a way around the problem ;-) I think it is PB doing that. I read their info about them "allowing" user to view their images TEMPORARILY. I guess the time is up now and people have to pay up if they want to keep their images hosted ;-( |

Well. after I experimented a bit, I found out that I can download these backgrounds just fine with Microsoft Edge (Internet Explorer) but, Firefox shows empty or corrupt files. It appears the combination of Firefox and Photobucket is the problem. Does anyone know what's up?

Hmmm... now that is very interesting. Hopefully, it is not a conspiracy lol
I use Chrome and no problem saving. |

Karla, you said, " I had sent them an e-mail a few days ago because it was not letting me access my albums. It let me login and all but they try to force the upgrade on users :-/ It told me to verify my e-mail and whatnot and the flash/java window never went away and accessing anything was impossible (could not click out of it)." I think this is normal. When I logged in to my account the other day, I was required to add an email address for that account. Photobucket then sends you an activation email to that email address. As soon as you activate that email then you shouldn't have any more problems gaining access to your account. I think Photobucket is just making sure that every Pb account has a valid email address to go with it, so that they can send junk mail LOL. Maybe the trouble is as you say; it could be a problem with Firefox. Judy and I use it, so if we're having the problem, and you're not having the problem by using other browsers, then it may be my browser. Like Judy, I have ways of getting images from Photobucket accounts, so there's no need to email or upload them for me (thank you for offering). But I'm curious to know what your album privacy setting was. Was it set to allow downloading of your images or not? Judy, I think my doll albums are set to allow downloading but I'll double check again to make sure. If Firefox is the problem, I wish I knew what the solution was. |

Timber, I tried again just now to make sure. I tried to download a background from your Cyworld album. With Firefox, I got a corrupt or empty file. With Microsoft Edge, I got the download. I wondered if it was because I have an ad blocker on Firefox, so I disabled it and tried again. I still couldn't download a good file.
In the last week or so, Firefox would let me download one or two gifs and then stop and I would get empty files. This has only happened with gif files. I cannot figure it out.

Bleh, hate when stuff like that happens. If only browsers were created equally lol Um, I do have my albums set to private. I did set a password for them but that was a looooong time ago....I think it is:
get it? :-D
I have so much junk and albums in my account, it is chaos! I am the kind of person that wants to have neat files but ends up the opposite LOL It is always " I will do it later (sorting out stuff)". Maybe it is meant to be, for me to switch image hosts and start fresh????? Though, that is too much trouble :-p |

Karla, I think you're confusing the privacy tab setting for albums with the privacy setting for your account. You can have a private account and still have that box ticked to allow downloading of your images. I'm going to guess that the box is ticked because I just went to the Halloween Specials backgrounds page and I was able to save the backgrounds with IE. I never tried using IE before because from what I remember I was never able to use it, so now I am LOL. That's good to know because I've had a heck of a time trying to grab images from Photobucket using Firefox. All's well that ends well haha, thanks for looking into it for me! |

Lol, I did confuse that. Glad it all worked out, even if it was a pain in the tush :-D I used to love IE but then it just got tooooo slow. Ended up downloading Avant and even Opera. Then finally, stuck to FF for years. Now, it is Chrome since that is what is on my comp (well, it has IE too but I do not use unless I have too).
