Hey everyone!

Wow, it seems I've missed a lot while I've been "recuperating".
Karla, I'm thrilled

to hear the news of your engagement!

It's an exciting time and it sounds like you've got your mind full with wedding planning. And I read that you also have yourself a new house mate

LOL. How sweet of you to take in an animal

from the shelter to nurse it until it has a new home. I didn't know of such a thing, but it sounds like a great way to give and receive some love from an animal for a short time without making the full commitment of adopting a pet. What a strange coincidence that this puppy has the same name

as the last one you took care of.
Judy sent me a new tutorial of hers, and I've got it posted

. I hope to be able to give it a test run soon

, and if you'd like to check it out, you can visit the results thread
here.
I think I mentioned that I was having some trouble with my monitor

; it had been going into power save mode, so I wasn't able to use my computer

. Yesterday I turned on my computer and had the same trouble with the monitor

, so I tried hooking up hubby's monitor to my computer, as I had in the past. After plugging his in and then plugging mine back in, I could usually get the monitor to work but not yesterday. So I opened my computer and vacuumed it out and reseated the graphics card and something else that we think is the memory card. After doing that the monitor worked again as normal, so I was thrilled about that

. But today I was afraid the monitor would still go into power save mode as it had been doing, but when I turned on the computer today, the monitor worked fine, so I took a welcome sigh of relief

. I was also able to more fully vacuum one of the fans inside and I notice that my computer is quieter now, so it's all good for me at this point. I hope that I will be able to turn on the computer each day and not have any troubles with it going forward

. I'm not a computer guru and when things don't work right with my computer, I panic

because I don't usually know what to do. I'm still holding on to my old dinosaur of a computer using XP, PSP8, and all my old software. I plan to drive

it until it won't run anymore, and I hope by then someone can figure out how to get plugins to work on my new computer

LOL.
As to my time away, I'm happy to report that my feet are no longer swollen

. All the sitting that I do every Summer

usually results in swollen feet at the end of the day. I think this Summer was the worst for me as I had days when I could barely stand on them. They became so fat and distorted; they were kind of scary looking

. But after a few days of rest, and many visits to the restroom to remove fluids

, I now have skinny feet again

and I don't expect them to swell again until next Summer.
And now that my feet are skinny, I could put on a pair of shoes and venture outside the house

. It felt so nice to feel the breeze blow through my hair. It's been such a long time since I've been outside. During Summer I don't usually go outside because I get so hot that it's hard for me to breathe, and because of that I get kind of panicky which compounds the breathing trouble. So I usually hunker down in Summer and don't venture outside. I'm looking forward to getting out more and walking these legs of mine that have gotten weak during my down time; I can feel it in one of my knees and walking helps.
So now that I am able to be more physically active, I hope to catch up on errands and cleaning around the house as well as having time to play and relax. I need to have more balance in my life, so I hope I'm able to manage it this time around

.
Well, I think that's enough of a "novel" for now. I just wanted to let you all know I'm still around and doing much better, and I hope to get some play time

and post results soon. Y'all take care

and I'll chat more on the boards!
